You're ecstatic today,
'Cause it's your friend's birthday,
She didn't want anything grand,
She's on diet, she said,

We decided to have a small celebration,
The four of us, a mini lunch kinda occasion,
You thought of surprising her,
With her favorite food as a gift,

I was very ecstatic today,
I thought I would surprise her,
But guess what?
They surprised me instead,

There were change of plans,
I wasn't even aware,
Sure I might not be able to make it,
But at least they could say it,

Surprises, surprises,
The one to surprise, got surprised!
And what do I feel you may ask?
Betrayal, sadness and the fact that,
That it doesn't matter if I am there,

Surprises, surprises,
Today I knew my worth,
I realised that people I take as closest friends,
For whom I could do, about anything,
It wouldn't matter for them,
Whether I am there or not.

Now I am sitting here,
Writing this lame poem,
And pitying myself,
For the one to surprise, has been surprised....

And that got me thinking,
Maybe I deserved it!
And so to my ecstatic self I say,
"Goodbye, just don't forget this day again!"

I don't even know why,
People always do that to me,
But I still don't learn,
I would still throw and fake smile,
And rush to their aid,

Surprises, surprises,
Maybe next time I will be safer,
I won't hope too much,
Make myself understand,
I just don't belong,
'Cause surprises, surprises,

Can you guys believe me? I actually made my friends eat my food lol. I guilt-tripped them lol 😂😂😂 I didn't even made them realise how hurt I was. 😂😂😂 I am so great! (More like stupid really but meh! I am already fed up with myself so 😥😥😥)
