In Y/N's room, Zero and Eclipse were shocked and slightly disappointed at Y/N for setting a date with someone else they don't like. Their heart belongs to her only.

"How could you do this to us?!" they exclaimed in unison.

"It's not a real date, you guys." Y/N assured them, chuckling.

"I don't even know this girl!" Zero exclaimed.

"Yeah! I want you to be my date, not the girl you've set me up!" Eclipse pouted.

"Again like I said, it's not like you're dating her. No one on the Valentine's Day is actually dating. Except for Fiona and Scourge that is... We're all just hanging out and happened to be in even couples."

Zero and Eclipse glances at each other then to Y/N before groaning.

"Fine, but what if I end up... liking this girl?" Zero asked.

"That's the one I'm afraid of as well." Eclipse agreed, shivering a little.

"Hmm... I'm not sure. I just picked the girls that I know would just... get to know you two. Like I said, it's not a real date. Now are you two just gonna keep freaking out about this or are you coming along? This is your chance to make more friends! Everyone is going to be there!"

"F-Fine... I'll go. But if she starts to get... feelings, you have to save me." Zero said.

"Same for me." Eclipse added.

"Heehee! I will. Don't worry, you two. I've got your back. You really should learn how to be more forward with things."

"Hmph. So you and... Knuckles. Is this considered a date between you two or is it just something Scourge forced you two into?"

Y/N blushes at the mention of his name and stutters.

"W-Well... I mean... I don't know. I mean, it might be but that would be up to him really. Hehe... We-We're just friends. That's all."

This made them feel slightly jealous that Knuckles is getting affection from her. But they'll be keeping an eye on them as Shadow and Tails told them. Though, they find her adorable to see her like this.

"Heh. You're cute when you get nervous." Eclipse smirked.

"Hehe. She is."

Y/N jumped in surprise to see Knuckles, who's hiding behind her door, even surprising Zero and Eclipse.

"Knuckles!"

"Wh-What are you doing here?" Zero exclaimed.

"Uh, I wanted to talk to Y/N." Knuckles replied.

"Look! This isn't what it looks like! I--" Eclipse exclaimed.

"No need to explain. I know you're good friends of hers."

This surprised the two.

"Huh. More docile than Tails and Shadow, I see."

"Mhm."

"Y-You wanted to talk to me?" Y/N asked.

"Yes. Is this a date?"

"I-I mean... It doesn't have to be, but if I mean, we both wanted to. It could be, but--"

Suddenly, Sonic steps in.

"Not so fast!"

"Sonic?! When did you get here?" Y/N exclaimed in shock.

"Just now after Sally told me about this double date. You and Knuckles are only PRETENDING to date, right?"

"Sonic!"

"I... like it to be a date, honestly." Knuckles spoke, shocking them.

Y/N squeaked, feeling her face burning hot.

"What?? B-B--Ugh! Great...!"

Sonic turns to Knuckles.

"Now, listen here, she needs to be back by her curfew. And if she's back any later, then I'm going to have a few words with you."

"What are you even talking about, Sonic?! You're going on the same date as us!"

His eyes widened in realization and made an "O" shape from his mouth.

"Oh, right... If I see you getting touchy, you and I are going to have a few words." he said, glaring straight at Knuckles, who looks unfazed.

"What? Are you my second mother now?"

"Hey! I'm just looking out for your best interests!"

"She'll be home in time and I'll keep my hands to myself." Knuckles calmly said.

"Good." Sonic grinned.

"Orrrr I'll try to."

This made Eclipse and Zero snap to hear that, even Sonic.

"WHAT?!"

"It's a joke." Knuckles chuckled. "Or... is it?"

This made Y/N laugh at that before calming down.

"Fine. It's a date then."

Scourge enters the room.

"Sup, losers."

"Do you ever knock?!" Y/N asked in annoyance.

"Where's the fun in that? That I might not be able to get a peep in--"

"Excuse me?" Knuckles glared, catching on to what that pervert is saying.

Scourge glances at him and scoffs.

"Oh. I didn't see you there."

"Scourge." Sonic said with a blank look.

"Sonic." Scourge greeted back.

"So you're the one who set this whole Valentine's Day date up. I'm kinda surprised."

"Sure did. And I have a whole day planned out. I purposlet planned it in such a way that allows for romantic to happen and then we end... with a kiss~ Or at least, I know I will. No one can resist my charm. Right, Y/N?"

Scourge winked at her.

"Oh, yes. Look at how hot he is. How in the world will I ever be able to resist his charm?" Y/N responded in a robot-like manner.

Eclipse and Zero snickers and plays along.

"Ohh. Looks like you've got Y/N under your spell." Zero said with a fake shock.

"Oh, no! Zero! Eclipse! Sonic! Knuckles! He's too hot! I might die from a heatstroke!" Y/N fake gasped, fanning her face.

"Whatever shall we do?" Eclipse fake gasped.

Sonic and Knuckles covers their mouth from laughing. Scourge is not amused to this.

"Okay, okay! I can feel the sarcasm from over here. Just apply some sunscreen, babe. You'll be fine."

Scourge clicks his tongue with a wink.

"Anyway, I gotta go get ready for tomorrow. You guys should too."

Scourge then leaves the room as he pulls out his phone to text Fiona. Knuckles turns to Y/N.

"I'll see you tomorrow then?"

"Uh, yeah! S-Sure! Absolutely!"

"Perfect. See ya. I gotta make sure my bro is ready for tomorrow too."

Knuckles left the room.

"See you later. Hehehe..."

Sonic clears his throat to get her attention.

"What?"

"Just be careful when he's around you."

"Oh, come on! Nothing's going to happen. Please get out of my room. You should be ready too."

"Fine..."

He reluctantly left not before looking back.

"If he does anything suspicious, notify me immediately."

"Get out!"

"Okay, okay! Sheesh!"

Sonic finally disappears. Zero and Eclipse looks at Y/N.

"Are you going to be okay?"

"I'll be fine, you guys."

"Okay. I'll try to be cool about this... whole thing tomorrow. Talk to you later."

"Yeah. See you, Y/N. I may not like it, but hopefully, this date thing will be worth it. I'm going to check on the Dark Arms."

Zero and Eclipse walks away.

"Bye, Zero! Bye, Eclipse! Well, Kirby, tomrrow's the big day. I better do something about this blushing issue."

"Pooteetah." Kirby nodded, making her laugh nervously.

In the following day, Y/N, in her nice outfit, arrives first at the water fountain and observes that she is the only one there.

"Hmm. Am I the first one to show up? I guess, well, I mean, it is five minutes early but still... better safe than sorry, I guess."

"Hey."

She turns to see Knuckles shows up and boy, does he look good in that outfit.

"Knuckles! Hey!"

"You look beautiful."

"Haha. You did too. I-I mean, you look handsome. N-Not not beautiful. You look beautifully handsome, I mean that's what I meant. That's what I meant. That's what I meant to say."

Knuckles couldn't help but chuckle.

"Here. I bought these for you."

He hands her a bundle of roses.

"Oh! Thank you so much."

"You're welcome."

Knuckles smiles and comes a little closer to her as he was about to make a move when a familiar voice called.

"What did I tell you about getting too touchy with her? The date hasn't even started."

They turned to see Sonic and Sally in their nice casual outfit.

"Sonic! Sally! Hey! And, Sonic, you know I'm an adult."

"Yes, but--"

"Sonic, leave her be. She's old enough to be with whoever she wants. We've talked about this." Sally scolded.

"Thank you, Sal. At least, she understands."

Sonic sighed in defeat, knowing he can't argue with her or his sister.

"Fine. But I just have your best interests in mind."

"As do I." Knuckles said.

Scourge shows up in his nice new jacket and outfit.

"Heya, guys! I see we're getting out to a good start here."

"Huh?! Where did you even come from?!" Sonic exclaimed.

"Heaven, of course."

"Tch! Yeah, right..." Knuckles rolled his eyes.

Scourge glances at Y/N.

"You're looking as hot as ever. Oh, hey, are those roses?"

"Yeah. And thanks..."

Suddenly, Scourge's eyes widned in realization.

"Oh... Oh, no!! I forgot flowers for Fiona!"

This made Sonic laugh.

"Mr. Romantic, my butt."

Sally smacked his arm.

"Sonic!"

"Oh, no! This is terrible! What am I gonna do?! She's going to kill me if she finds I bring her nothing! She gets so crazy I tell you!" Scourge frantically exclaimed, looking around for anything he could get.

Y/N looks at Scourge with worry then to the roses. She turns to Knuckles.

"Um..."

"Go ahead."

She froze in surpise. Did he just...?

"Huh?"

"I know what you want to do and I don't mind."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive."

She smiles at him before she walks up to Scourge.

"Scourge?"

He stops and looks at her.

"Here."

She hands him her bundle of roses, which he slowly takes it.

"What? N-No. He gave those to you. I can't do that."

"It's fine, Scourge. We'd rather help you."

"Correction, she'd rather help you." Sonic fake coughed, making Sally smack him even harder.

"Y-You guys are the... Oh, geez! Come here and get me a hug!"

He goes to hug Y/N, which she doesn't mind when Knuckles quickly acted.

"Just, just hug Sonic instead."

"W-What?!"

"Okay! Come here you!"

Scourge hugs Sonic tightly, making the poor blue hedgehog feel like he's choking to death.

"Gah! What are you doing?! Get away!"

Lightning shows up and notices this commotion.

"Scourge? Sir? What are you doing?"

"Showing my appreciation for Y/N and Knuckles' kindness by hugging Sonic! Even if I don't like him!"

Predator shows up next.

"That sounds like torture."

Amy and Khan comes.

"We're here!"

"Hi, Sally."

"Hey, Ken!"

Shadow, Rouge, Tails, and Cream shows up.

"Hey, guys! Hope we're not late!" Tails waved.

"Hi, Ms. Y/N!" Cream smiled.

"Hey, Cream. You're looking cute." Y/N smiled kindly.

"Heehee. I tried!"

"And Tails, nice glasses you're wearing. Trying to look cool?"

"Y-Yeah... Do you like 'em?"

"Of course."

Rouge comes over and slings her arms around her shoulder.

"Heya, cutie. Surprised you're on a date with that Knucklehead."

"I'm right here, you know." Knuckles deadpeanned.

"Whatever."

"Well, it just happened."

Rouge pulls out a heart-shaped candy apple and hands it to her.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Y/N."

"Oh! Candy apple! I love those! Thank you!"

"No problem."

Shadow approaches Y/N and lighly pushes Rouge out of the way.

"You look amazing."

Y/N blushes.

"Thank you, Shadow. You look... very sharp and neat. Kinda suits you."

"Really? Then, I should keep wearing this more often."

Y/N giggles shyly, making Knuckles and a certain few love interests jealous at this.

"Am I sensing some jealousy or is it just me?"

Kneecaps arrived with Relic, who gives them a shy smile.

"Hey, guys."

"Hi, Relic." Y/N greeted. "Welcome to the double date."

"Thanks. This is... my first time coming here."

"Well, I'm sure you're going to love it."

She glances at Kneecaps, who gazes at her lovingly. Y/N smirks and leans over to him, whispering into his ear.

"So... this is the girl you liked. She does got some pretty good taste in ancient and foreign civilizations."

His face turned brighter and snapped his head at Knuckles, who plays innocent with a hint of mischevious smile. He looks away, embarrassed.

"Y-Yeah..."

"Wish you luck."

Sergeant, Fiona, and a few random Mobian ladies arrive.

"Hey, sir."

"Sup."

He turns to Fiona, who's in her black dress.

"Fiona, nice dress. Oh, here. These roses are for you."

Scourge gives her the roses, who takes them with slight surprise.

"Oh, thanks. How'd you know I like roses?"

"I just know it, babe~" he said with pride, making Y/N roll her eyes at this.

Fiona notices her and gives her a small wave.

"Hey, Y/N."

Y/N blankly stares at her and just greets her back.

"Sup, Fiona. You're looking fine as ever."

"Thanks... Um... Nice... night we're having."

Silence was heard as the others glances at each other with concern at how awkward it is as Fiona nervously stare at Y/N, who just stood there with a neutral expression on her face.

"Wow. Already getting some tension here?"

Lastly, Bunnie, Antoine, Razor, Coral, Jet, Wave, Mighty, Honey, Ray, Pearly, Silver, Blaze, Zero, Eclipse, two random Mobian ladies, Espio, and Nicole arrive at the destination.

"We're here, gals!" Bunnie announced in a singing tone.

"Hey, everyone!!" Y/N greeted, surprised to see them.

Scourge cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.

"Alright! Listen up! I've got a whole slew of events for us to attend. So first off, we're going to the arcade! Let's go!"

The group begins walking, but Y/N is still hesitant as she's completely surprised that this is happening. Knuckles notices this.

"After you."

"O-Oh. Uh... thank you."

Y/N follows after her friends with Knuckles guiding her like a gentleman.
