Y/N heads out of her treehouse towards her mailbox as she goes through the mails.

"Let's see... Bills, bills, bills... Oh! 75% off thousand dozens coupons. I'm keeping that."

She noticed the green letter with a green heart on it along with the name she recognized.

"Huh? A letter from Scourge to me? What the?"

"Roses are red
Violets are blue
Your butt looks nice from here
Look behind you"

"Huh?"

After she finishes reading the love letter, Y/N turns around to see Scourge emerges from behind as he gives her a smirk with a wink.

"Hey, baby~"

"Ahh!!!"

Y/N screams and attacks him by grabbing his arm and flipping him on his back.

"Ugh!! Still as strong as ever..."

"Scourge! Not only was that creepy, but you scared the fluff out of me!"

Scourge stands up and chuckles, soothing his arm.

"I'm just trying to be romantic seeing the big day coming up."

"Oh, you mean the day that you move far away from me?" Y/N sarcastically asked.

"And let you suffer through not being able to see my handsome face in the morning? Psh! Never..." he chuckled. "Now the day I'm talking about is Valentine's Day."

"Oh! Valentine's Day isn't for a few weeks, Scourge." she laughed. "There's plenty of time before that."

"Oh, N/N~ Valentine's Day is tomorrow, hun."

This made Y/N scream at that.

"What?! It's tomorrow?!"

Scourge raised his hands up in surrender.

"Hey, well don't act so shocked. I haven't asked you out yet! Hey! Where are you going?"

He notices Y/N proceeds to run to her home as she turns around to face him.

"Um, to hide?!"

"From what?"

Scourge doesn't understand what she means and why.

"Shadow, Rouge, Tails, Razor, Silver, Blaze, Jet, Mighty, Espio, and Eclipse! Especially, Knuckles and Zero, whom I thought I could rely on, but they've been carried away! Every single Valentine's Day, they go nuts trying to outdo each other!"

"Ohhh! So that explains the loud ruckus I've heard from a mile away. Huh."

"Scourge, just please leave and pretend you never ever saw me. I've already have enough of all this attentions and responsibilities. I just need a break."

"Okay, I understand you're frustrated, but..."

He noticed she's already heading up the stairs to her home.

"Hey, hey, come back here!"

He follows after her at the steps as they stopped by her door. Y/N faces him once more with annoyance.

"You and I still need to discuss what I saw in someone's new home the other day with... Knuckles..." Scourge gritted his teeth at the mention of his name.

Y/N froze in shock.

"H-How did you--?! Never mind! You didn't see anything! We're just friends!"

"Oh-ho-ho! I did see something. You see Y/N, unlike the others, I'm very observant. It's pretty obvious you have feelings for Knuckles or at least, like the idea of him. So, why are you keeping it a secret? Does Knuckles know you have feelings for him and maybe that's why he's competing for you?"

"I'm keeping it to myself because we'll, really it's no one else's business just yet. Plus, I'm taking it slow and I'm still not sure if I'm ready for a relationship. I still think about others, including you that has feelings for me. It's just... hard... I love hanging out with Knuckles and all of you and I just don't want that to be ruined."

Scourge feels in awe that she's been thinking things through before making a big decision.

"I get what you're saying. You're a sweetheart. But now that I know, what are you going to do for me to stop me from telling everyone else?" he said, smirking slightly.

Y/N had a feeling where this was going and sighed in frustration.

"What do you want from me, Scourge?"

Scourge chuckled, smirking even wider.

"I thought you'd never ask~"

He suddenly pins her against the door, surprising her and causing her face to go pink. He leans forward and whispers into her ear.

"For Valentine's Day, I want to take you... on a... double date!"

Scourge pulls away from her as she couldn't believe what she was hearing.

"Oh, wait! What?!"

"You heard me. I'm taking Fiona out for Valentine's Day and I want you and... Knuckles to join us for a double date."

"What?! On a date with Fiona?! With you?! Wait! Why should I? Why are you trying to drag me along on this date?"

"Look, I want you to feel comfortable during this date. I know I'm a stud, but I do take your feelings into consideration. I just thought you could use some break without any trouble. It's just you, me, Fiona, and Knuckles. It won't be as awkward."

"Scourge... That's actually really nice and considerate of you."

"I try. Now I've got Valentine's Day all planned out. So all you gotta to do is ask Knuckles to come."

"Wait! At what point time in the past five minutes did I agree to go on this double date? I didn't even say yes yet."

"What other plans do you got for Valentine's Day?"

"I have nothing planned. That's what's going on. Nothing."

"See? You're free. Now you just gotta call Knuckles and get him to come."

"Okay, Scourge? That isn't happening."

What she didn't know is that Scourge has her phone after he pins her against the door and swiftly takes it out without looking. He began to text Knuckles.

"Hey, Knuxie. Come over to my house. I want to talk to you and make out. And... send!"

He hands her back the phone.

"Huh? Who are you messaging?"

Her eyes widened at the message he sent and yelled.

"Scourge!! When did you get my phone?! Did you send the text to Knuckles?! Oh, my Chaos! How could you?! Why did you?! Oh! Why would you do that?! Why did you send a text to him?! Scourge!!"

Y/N covers her face in embarrassment.

"Just call me cupid, beautiful." Scourge chuckled at how cute she is.

"Stupid is more like it! How dare you interfere with my life?! You were so nice and considerate for a second! Gah! I don't know anymore!"

Suddenly, she heard a ding from her phone and looked at the message to see Knuckles replying back to her. Those words made the world go frozen.

"I'll be over in a few minutes 😳"

"H-H-H-He actually responded to that kind of t-text? I... can't... even..."

Y/N faints on the spot as everything went black.

Blacked out, Y/N is awoken by her friends' shout full of worry as she blinked.

"Scourge, what did you do to her?!" Tails' voice shouted.

"I swear if you hurt her..." Shadow's voice growled.

"Hey! It's not my fault!" Scourge's voice exclaimed.

"Shut up, you dorks! She's waking up!" Sally's voice shouted.

"Oh, so I can't give her CPR?" Scourge whined.

"NO!!" Tails and Shadow growled.

Y/N groaned as she woke up.

"Huh? Wh-What happened?"

"Oh, Y/N! I was so worried!" Sally sighed in relief.

"We saw Scourge talking to you from across the street and didn't think nothing of it until we saw you turn bright red and faint." Tails explained.

"We rushed over here to see what happened." Shadow added.

"Then they brought you inside." Sally concluded.

Amy rushes in with a glass cup of water.

"I have the water!"

"She's awake, Amy. Don't worry about it."

"Oh, woo! Good!"

A soft knock was heard from the door.

"I'll get it!"

Amy goes over to see who could that be.

"So what happened, Y/N? Scourge said you turned red because of his deviously good looks, which we all know is a total lie." Sally said.

"I... don't... remember. All I remember was Scourge being annoying and..."

Suddenly, Knuckles appears before them.

"Hey."

"Ah!! He's here! That's right! I forgot! Oh, my gosh!" Y/N shrieked silently, looking pink already just seeing him.

"Heyy, Knuckles..." Tails fake smiled.

"Knuckles..." Shadow glared.

"I'm just gonna go into the kitchen to make cookies." Amy said, seeing the slight tension as she walk away.

"Are you alright?" Knuckles asked in concern, giving Shadow and Tails a hidden smirk before facing her.

"I-I'm fine. Heh. Thank you, Knuckles." Y/N said.

Scourge may not like Knuckles either, but he wants to have some little fun. He even wants her to relax and forget about everything else.

"Perfect timing... Hehe. So Knuckles, why don't you sit down close to Y/N?"

Shadow and Tails turns to Scourge in disbelief.

"Scourge!"

"What are you doing?!"

"I'm just helping Y/N out. Knuckles has some nice broad shoulder she could lean on them."

"Scourge, what are you doing?" Y/N stared at him with wide eyes.

"This way, Knuckles. Come on. Sit here."

Before she knew it, Knuckles is sitting next to Y/N, causing her face to turn even brighter pink as she tried not to look at him.

"There you go." Scourge smirked.

This angered Shadow and Tails as they glare at the green hedgehog.

"Scourge? Shadow and I want to see you in the other room for a moment." Tails quietly said.

"Okay, just a sec."

"No, now!" Shadow sneered.

"Okay, okay! Sheesh!"

Scourge reluctantly follows them, leaving Y/N, Knuckles, and Sally in the living room.

"I'm so confused right now." Sally said, raising her eyebrow.

Amy returns from the kitchen.

"Oh! I forgot to ask what kind of cookies does everyone..."

She stopped to see Y/N and Knuckles together on the couch.

"GAH!! M-M-My! Knuckles! Y/N! This is perfect! I need pictures! My second ship!!"

Amy pulls out her phone and takes photos of Knuckles and Y/N.

"I'm so embarrassed..." Y/N whimpered, wanting to melt into a puddle right now.

Knuckles stares at her with concern and a hint of lovestruck.

Meanwhile, in the room, Scourge is being interrogated by Shadow and Tails.

"What are you trying to pull here, Scourge?" Tails glared.

"You better not be up to anything sneaky." Shadow added.

"Nothing. It's just... well... I didn't want to tell you guys."

"Tell us what??"

"Y/N is... uh... she's..."

"Well?"

Scourge starts to panic in his own thought.

"What was I thinking? I wanted to help Y/N out with her stress, but I completely forgot they wanted to keep it a secret. Ugh! So much for being a cute cupid! Stupid, stupid, stupid! What do I do?! What do I do?! What do I do?!!"

He clears his throat to ease down his panicking.

"Y/N... She's such a sweet, kind angel, you see. I had asked Fiona out for a date and she gladly accepted, however Y/N had suggested that she helped me find true love with Fiona and decided to make it a double date. So now her and Knuckles are pretending to date to help me and Fiona get together. I just didn't want to tell you guys." he said, slightly wincing at the half-lie he's giving them.

Tails and Shadow's expression soften.

"Ah, she would do that." Shadow sighed.

"You couldn't call one of us instead to help you, Scourge?" Tails asked.

"Sorry. Knuckles was already called."

"Well, there must be some way we could help."

Sally's shouts was heard behind them.

"Amy, stop snapping pictures before I snap you!"

"EEP!"

Back at the living room, Amy stops snapping photos and backs away from Sally.

"What's going on here?" Shadow asked after he and others came back.

"Um... Y/N and Knuckles are going to join me and Fiona for Valentine's Day date tomorrow. It will be a double date."

"What?! Aww! This is a shipping dream come true!!" Amy squealed, jumping up and down.

"A double date? With you and Fiona? That's surprising." Sally said.

"Tails and Shadow... aren't freaking out about this. What the heck is going on?" Y/N thought to herself.

"This is news to me." Knuckles said with slight surprise in his eyes.

"I'm so sorry, Knuckles. I have no idea what's going on. This is all happening way too fast and I just--"

"I'm fine with it." Knuckles assured.

"Scourge, got room for a few more people?" Shadow asked, pulling out his phone.

"Absolutely. Are you guys coming with us too?"

"Yeah. With our dates."

"Date?!" Amy exclaimed in shock.

"Dates?!" Everyone exclaimed.

"You guys have dates?? Y/N's going with Knuckles, you know." Sally stated.

"We know, and we're okay with that, Y/N. We're sure you have a good reason." Tails assured.

"What in the name of Chaos is going on here? They are okay with this?! How is this even happening?! I don't understand!"

"Tails and I just asked Rouge and Cream. They'll be coming as our dates. Not that there's anything going on between us, but well, we just thought it would be nice if everyone hung out on Valentine's Day."

"I'm already informing the rest! Like Jet, Razor, Mighty, Espio, and a few more..." Tails added, looking through his phone.

"That... actually does sound nice for all of us to hang out on Valentine's together." Sally said. "I should inform the others."

"Yep, but everyone has to bring a date. It's the day of love, you know." Scourge reminded.

"Oh! Can I come?" Amy asked.

"Sure."

"Yay! I'm going to invite Khan!"

"Wait! Since when did you and Khan become close?" Y/N questioned.

"Oh, we're not THAT close! I just wanted him to come as a pretend date because I don't want him to be alone."

"Speaking of alone, I should call Eclipse and Zero. I don't want them to be alone on Valentine's Day either. I do need to find them their pretend dates."

Knuckles put out a thoughtful look.

"Hm... If everyone's going, I should inform Kneecaps. I already know who he's going to invite with."

"Sounds perfect!"

"This is awesome! Everyone's coming on a date! I better tell Sonic about this! It will be fun!" Sally smiled, looking excited.

"I just invited a few of my Destructix. They'll be coming with their dates as well."

"Wow."

Tails whispers to Shadow.

"Shadow, we need to keep an eye on them."

"That's the plan. I already alerted the others."

Y/N clears her throat and looks at Scourge.

"Scourge, can I see you a moment in private?"

In the kitchen, Y/N confronts Scourge as soon as they're away from others.

"Are you kidding me?! How could you lie to Tails and Shadow about this?!"

"I'm sorry! I didn't realize what I was doing and just came up with an excuse!"

"I just didn't want to tell them what was going on! Not lie to them about it!"

"I'm sorry!!"

Y/N sighs, knowing she can't think this through without yelling.

"It's... fine, Scourge. I know you meant well. We'll just play it by ear for now."

"Good idea. And who knows? If this goes south for everyone then, maybe we can get some... Scourge x Y/N action~" Scourge flirted, coming closer to her.

Oh, no! She's not falling for that one again! Y/N punches him in the stomach, causing him to kneel down in pain.

"Ow!! Geez!"

"Scourge, do you ever learn your lesson?"

"Eheh... Never."

Y/N shook her head, knowing this will be a long day.
