Aboard in Sky Patrol, while Sonic, Chip, and Antoine are out on a mission, Y/N and the others are listening to Knuckles' story of what happened to the Master Emerald as well as his encounter with Eclipse the Darkling, whom Shadow and Team Dark are trying to find. Y/N had a bad feeling about this Eclipse person and the Dark Arms, knowing they're still out there and will be ready once the world is saved. As Knuckles explained, Kneecaps showed them the shard of the Master Emerald.

"...So I had to shatter the Master Emerald. Again. And its shards rained down on the messed-up planet. I thought me and Kneecaps were hunting down one of the shards when I ended up getting us roped into the fighting tournament."

"Yeah, and then you kissed me out of the ring..." Y/N grumbled, glaring at him which made him smile nervously while feeling embarrassed.

"Now-Now, Y/N, don't be a sore loser!" Cream assured her with a smile.

"Yeah. You did your best. Although I never expected him to kiss you like that." Amy said with a sly smile, making Y/N smack her arm.

"What about yer island? Without the Master Emerald's power, it'll fall. And with the planet like this..." Bunnie spoke.

"No, it's still floating--just like all the continents. I guess one good thing had to come of all this."

"But that means if we fix the planet, your island will fall!" Cream gasped.

"But it's not like we can postone saving everyone..." Rotor said sadly.

"Hold on! How have you been tracking down the shards?" Amy asked.

"Uh... Same as I always do? With my innate ability to track their power." Knuckles replied with his eyebrow raised.

"Amy, you're thinking..." Y/N started, feeling where this was going as Amy smiled at her with a nod.

"Yeah, but how much range do you get on that?"

"I dunno, a few miles? Beyond that, it's guess work."

"I thought so! I think I've got a better idea!"

Amy brought out a magical flute as Y/N stood next to her with her ruby already glowing.

"When we were in Meropis, the local priestess taught me a technique she called the 'Mystic Melody.' I've been using it to help us narrow the search for the Gaia Temples, but maybe it can help us find the Master Emerald shards, too!"

"Ooh, yay! It sounds so pretty!" Cream clapped.

Amy started playing the flute with Y/N closing her eyes as she mumble a few words before their eyes widened.

"Yeah...Yeah! I can see it!"

"I can see it too! There's one in Apotos!"

"Exactly!"

"Whoa! Really?" Kneecaps said in shock.

"Then if I get to the surface, I should be able to track it from there!" Knuckles said in amazement.

"This is perfect! We can find them from a distance--"

"--and I can find them at short-range!"

"Great!" Kneecaps smiled.

"That's great and all, but remember fixing the whole planet? Amy and Y/N are our best bet at finding the temples. I mean, you guys were gone with Sonic and Antoine on a scouting mission, and the Sky Patrol almost got overrun! We can't divide ourselves, or go flying everywhere while the world suffers!" Rotor said.

"Angel Island is part of our world, Rote." Bunnie reminded.

"Mister Knuckles and Mister Kneecaps brought us a Chaos Emerald, and helped us win another! It's only fair that we help them!" Cream added.

Rotor waved his hands defensively.

"Hey-Hey-Hey! I'm not saying we don't help Knuckles and Kneecaps! We can try to think of something. But we've got to prioritize the entire world, not just a piece of it. And to do that, we've got to find the Gaia Temples."

Y/N nodded and stood out of her seat and walked off. Everyone looked at her in concern as Kirby followed after her.

"Is she doing alright?" Kneecaps asked.

"Well, ever since she got herself a new form she's been a little distant lately and can be quiet sometimes." Rotor explained. "She would always have a space out look in her eyes."

"We don't know what she's been thinking but it makes us feel worried for her." Bunnie said.

"I hope Miss Y/N is okay. It's not like we don't accept her for who she is." Cream frowned.

"Chao chao." Cheese agreed.

"I'll go talk to her." Knuckles suggested already heading off before anyone can say anything.

He looked around the hallway for any sign of her until he found her by the window with Kirby on her shoulder. Knuckles slowly approached her.

"Hey, Y/N."

Y/N tensed a bit, turning around before relaxing to see him. She turn back around the window.

"Hey."

Knuckles stood by next to her and lean against the window.

"You doing alright?"

"I'm doing fine, I guess."

"You know you can tell me anything. I can see you're troubled."

She went silent for a moment as Kirby glance at Y/N in concern. She then took a deep breath.

"It's just... ever since I got turned into a werehog, I feel like I'm forgetting who I am. Not only that, I still can't stop thinking about what Endless Reach said about me not being just a hedgehog. What am I? Am I something more than I am right now?"

Knuckles raise his eyebrow in confusion.

"Why would you say that? You're still the Y/N I know."

"But what if I'm different? Too different..."

He placed a hand on her shoulder, making her turn to him again. Knuckles then kissed her on the cheek. Her face turned pink as soon as he pulled away and stared at her seriously.

"We will always find a way to help you. I promise you that."

"You're right.. T-Thank you, Knuckles." she nodded still blushing.

"No problem. That's what friends do."

Though, he winced to say the word "friends", but he'll get over it and wait for her. Y/N suddenly collapsed on her knees and grunted until the puff of purple smoke came out and her form changed into werehog once again.

"GEEZ... I REALLY NEED TO STOP CHANGING EVERY NIGHT."

"Pooteetah." Kirby assured her by placing a paw on her clawed hand.

"YEAH... I HOPE SO. IS MY CLOTHES GETTING A LITTLE TIGHTER?"

This made Knuckles turn away, trying not to check her out of her werehog form. He had to admit, he finds her pretty hot and the way she looks and acts so tough. All of the sudden, alarm went off. They ran over to see the screen blinking red and it showed them the map. To where Sonic and Antoine are when they're on scouting mission.

"TROUBLE!!"

Meanwhile at night, Werehog Sonic and Antoine are fighting against the dark monsters that are scaring the citizens when they heard a loud thoom. They looked up the giant one eyed monster holding the wooden bat with a big spike on top that was carved.

"UH... CAN YOU DEAL WITH THAT?" Sonic asked nervously.

"Oui--But I am really wishing I did not have to!"

"CHIP! CALL ROTOR! WE NEED BACK-UP!"

Without being told twice, Chip quickly clicked on the buttons of the machine as the screen glitched.

"C'mon! Pick up! Pick up! Pick--!"

The screen showed Rotor on screen.

"Rotor! We need help down here!"

The giant dark monster goes slam its wooden spiked bat on them when Sonic swiftly grabbed Antoine up as it hit the dark monster instead, smashing it like a jam. He placed Antoine down as he stepped his foot on the dead monster.

"KEEP THE SMALLER MONSTERS OFF MY BACK! I'LL TAKE CARE OF 'TINY'!"

"Understood!"

The giant monster slam its wooden spiked bat again as Sonic blocked it with his bare hands as he struggled to hold it.

"RRRRRGH!"

It was too strong as the bat nearly squished his face if it wasn't for the people that saved him. Bunnie, Y/N, Knuckles, Kneecaps, and Amy as they brought all their attacks on the monster.

"Havin' fun, Sugar-Hog? Sally called and says her team is fine, by the way!"

Y/N and Knuckles landed next to Sonic as Bunnie, Kneecaps, and Amy deal with the monster.

"Great--Another one of these..." Knuckles muttered.

"FRIEND OF YOURS?" Y/N and Sonic questioned in unison.

"The Chaotix, Kneecaps, and I had to fight one to get the red Chaos Emerald..."

"HOW'D YOU GUYS BEAT IT?" Sonic asked.

"Uh... Tricked Bean into bombing the crud out of it, and then I punched it lots...?"

Sonic punched his chest like a gorilla with a big grin.

"'PUNCH IT LOTS' IT IS!"

Y/N grinned and fist pumped herself.

"HECK YEAH! LET'S CRUSH 'EM"

Knuckles punched his fist in excitement.

"I like this version of you two!"

Behind them, Antoine looked at them like he's being surrounded by knuckleheads while Kneecaps who's helping him smirked. Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles charged at the giant monster as they both punched and clawed it right in the chest together with the hedgehog siblings howling.

"ARRROOOOOH!"

Its chest gushed out dark pink to reveal something pointy and green. Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles' immediately recognized it.

"HEY! ISN'T THAT ONE OF YOUR MISSING SHARDS?"

"I thought it felt awfully close!"

"GRAB IT NOW!" Y/N urged them.

Sonic quickly grab a hold of the shard.

"DRIVE IT BACK! I'LL PULL THE SHARD FREE!"

"With pleasure!" Knuckles grinned.

"RIGHT!" Y/N nodded.

Knuckles punched the monster where the head is while Y/N bit its neck shaking her head with a growl. Sonic extended his arms, struggling to pull the shard out. Bunnie and Amy helped him by hitting and blasting the monster. Suddenly, Antoine jumped on top of Sonic's furry arms and ran over to the shard, shocking everyone.

"Je dois etre fou..."

He stabbed its chest right where the shard is and pulled it out fully, sending himself and the shard flying in the air. Everyone got off of the monster as it roared in pain, holding its chest. Bunnie launched herself and caught Antoine in bridal style.

"That's mah man!"

"Heh! Let us be saving ze world so I am never having to do zat again."

Sonic also caught the shard in one hand. Knuckles and Y/N who landed safely faced the monster that's now weak before glancing at each other with a smirk. They then charged the monster and together they uppercutted the monster straight in the face, causing the eyeball to go flying as well the chunk of it as they disappeared in a smoke. Y/N cracked her neck with a sigh while rotating her shoulder.

"NICE WORK, KNUX. THIS ALMOST MAKES UP FOR THE TOURNAMENT."

"Oh, c'mon! I said I was sorry! I was only trying to win! You can't seriously let go of that!"

"NOPE. I WILL NEVER FORGET IT."

"She's right, bro. It will be remembered forever." Kneecaps teased.

"Shut up, Kneecaps..."

Sonic hands Knuckles the shard.

"HERE WE GO, KNUX. I HEARD YOU WERE COLLECTING THESE."

Knuckles takes the shard.

"Thanks! One more down... er... a bunch to go."

Y/N and Amy glanced over to see Bunnie still holding Antoine bridal style. He looks rather embarrassed while she's giving him a smug look.

"Can you be putting me down now? Ze others--Zey are starting to look!"

"Aww... But yer cute like this."

The girls silently snicker at the cute sight. Chip flew over to them with the pad as the screen showed Rotor and Cream.

"What's going on? Do I need to come down?"

"Or me and Cheese? We can help!"

Sonic and Y/N wrapped their long arms around the Freedom Fighters, causing some people to get embarrassed.

"WE'RE ALL GOOD DOWN HERE! WE THINK THAT'S ALL THE MONSTERS FOR THE NIGHT!"

Chip look down at the screen.

"And-And-And we got a list of all the people we need to talk to, so we can use a super-handy magic shortcut to all the Gaia Temples!"

"WAIT--DOES THAT MEAN WE KNOW WHERE ALL THE TEMPLES ARE NOW?" Y/N asked in surprise.

"WE DON'T NEED TO KNOW. ALL WE NEED TO DO IS BRING A BUNCH OF KEYS HERE AND WE CAN GET TO THEM ALL FROM ONE SPOT." Sonic informed.

"THEN WE DON'T HAVE TO DIVIDE OUR ATTENTION! KNUCKLES, KNEECAPS, I CAN GO WITH YOU, WE CAN FIND THE SHARDS, AND MAYBE SAVE ANGEL ISLAND BEFORE THE WORLD IS REPAIRED!"

"Best news I've heard all day!"

"You sure it's not because you get to spend time with her?~" Kneecaps cooed.

"Shut up, Kneecaps...!"

"HOLD ON, SIS... YOU'RE LEAVING US?"

"JUST UNTIL WE FIND ALL THE SHARDS AND RESTORE ANGEL ISLAND. DON'T WORRY, I'LL COME BACK BEFORE YOU CAN HAVE ALL THE FUN. PLUS... SOMEONE HAVE TO KEEP KNUCKLES AND KNEECAPS SAFE."

Knuckles crossed his arms with a smug look as soon as Y/N turn around to face Amy.

"Wassamatter, Shaggy? Jealous?"

Sonic growled and pointed at him.

"DO NOT EVEN START WITH ME, KNUCKLEHEAD. I KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TRYING TO DO AND THERE BETTER BE NO FUNNY MOVE ON HER."

Knuckles pretend to have a thoughtful look.

"Hmm... I'll try."

"GRRR!!"

"AMY, WANNA COME WITH US? WE COULD USE YOUR MYSTIC MELODY TO HELP LOCATE THE SHARDS."

"Nah, I'll stay here. They could use a help with finding more Chaos Emeralds."

Amy suddenly gave her a smirk, which Y/N didn't like where this is going.

"Also... so you and Knuckles can get some... alone time."

This made her face turn dark blue. She turned away with a pout.

"Q-QUIET, AMY..."

Amy just giggled.
