Y/N groaned and slowly opened her eyes to find herself hanging with her arms chained up above her head. She looked around to see some piles of gold and jewels around the room and tried to move, but those chains gave her a good grip on her as they hurt her wrists a little. Y/N struggled to move as she tried to move her legs up to at least flip herself over, but it was no use. The door then opened to reveal Jet who's looking down with deep regret.

"Hey, Y/N. How are you holding up?" he asked with a hint of joke.

"Doing fine I guess." she said, giggling a little.

"I'm sorry that this is happening to you and your home. You don't deserve it."

"It's okay. I'll find a way to get out of this."

"Well, I just wanted to let you know that before Battle Lord finds me your friends are already evacuating so they should be fine."

Y/N sighed in relief.

"Thank you, Jet."

"Oh, and you might need this."

He threw something towards her and she caught it with her hand that are still bind up. Y/N looked up to see a sharpened coin.

"Just... be safe."

He then walked out of the room and closed the door, leaving her alone once again. She smiled, knowing he cares and beginning to scrape the coin against the metal chains that held her above. Suddenly, she heard Battle Lord's voice all over the room.

"Hear me, my troops! My chance of fate... the Babylon Garden which we have sought since the immemorial is buried deep beneath the home of our despised enemies in one fell swoop we shall deal out vengeance and take hold of our destiny! Let the operations coo-coo-commence!"

"Oh no..."

Y/N paled at the thought of her home and her friends being gone and kept on scraping and scraping the chains as they slowly began to break loose. After minutes of scraping the chains, they finally broke as she fell against the coins with a loud thud.

"Ow! These coins!!"

She kicked them away and checked herself to see her weapons are still there with her along with the important one which is her ruby necklace and the Nephrite that's in her pocket the whole time. She then grabbed the Extreme Gear that was next to her with the rest of the gold.

"Good... You're safe."

Y/N then quietly opened the door to find no one and began rocket skating out of the room in the blink of an eye as she studied the room she was in until she found an exit. She made it out of the open but her eyes widened as the Castle of Acorn has been destroyed by the giant blast from the ship.

"NO!!!"

Once the blaster died down, it reveal a big hole. Y/N couldn't believe that the one she called home has been destroyed. She looked down to see the three familiar green, pink, and yellow zoom as they fly down into the hole along with Sonic as he spin dashed them while going down. Y/N brought out her Extreme Gear and placed her helmet on and landed on the board, giving it a boost and zoomed down after them. She made it down on time to see Sonic fighting off the Babylon Rogues and he doesn't look very happy.

"As long as you get what you want, it's all cool, right?" Sonic asked.

"Right! I'm glad you see it my way!" Jet smirked.

"Dude, you so totally don't get sarcasm!"

He spin dashed him straight in the stomach and held him by the fur collar.

"No gravity stopper doohickey this time? Guess you aren't quick enough to the dra—"

Wave trapped him in the force field bubble with the same ring Battle Lord wore.

"Neither are you, True Blue."

"Let's move before the gravity field wears off and pinhead here puts his spines where they're not wanted!"

"'Gee, thanks for the help there, Wave'. 'No problem, Jet! Just doing my part for the team!'"

"Yeah, yeah. You're a real life saver. You know, it's too bad. Once we use this key, I won't get to use that trick anymore."

They walked up the stairs as Y/N zoomed down in front of the trapped Sonic.

"Huh? Who're you?"

Y/N didn't want to reveal herself yet so she did a gesture that she's going to help him.

"Really? Great! As soon as I get out of this, we're going to kick their butt!"

She nodded silently. Then, the force field died down as Sonic dropped to the ground. Y/N helped him up and he nodded to her in thanks and spin dashed to where the Babylon Rogues have gone as Y/N boosted her Extreme Gear to follow him while not doing the spin dash that will surely blow her cover. They made it to the control room as the unknown robot they know began to speak and Y/N notice the cube and the ring are attacked to the robot as they glow.

"THANK YOU. MY IGNITION MATRIX WAS REMOVED A MILLENNIUM AGAIN. PREVIOUS NAVIGATIONAL ROUTINE MAY NOW RESUME."

It did a loud z sound.

"What was your previous navi—" Wave started.

But she was cut off by Sonic was he spin dashed all three of the Babylon Rogues as Y/N made her entrance, silently staring at them.

"So this pile of junk is what you had to blow up New Mobotropolis for?"

Jet sat up with a grin.

"Hey, blowing up your town was just icing on the cake! This 'pile of junk' is proof that I accomplished something no one else could."

"You accomplished?!!"

Sonic glanced at Y/N who nodded and grabbed Jet and threw him over to Wave and Storm.

"You needed these two and the whole Armada dig this thing up! What is it, anyway? Why in the name of chili dogs did Nicole build right on top of it?!"

As if the robot heard the question, it began to explain.

"THE PROGRAM NICOLE DID NOT BUILD THE NANITE CITY. SHE HAD NEVER PROBED TO THIS DEPTH AND THUS NEVER DETECTED MY PRESENCE. THE CITY WAS CONSTRUCTED BY THE PROGRAM A.D.A.M. HE DETECTED MY SYSTEMS AND INTENDED TO TAP INTO THEM TO EXPEDITE THE TRANSPORT OF MYSTIC GEMS ACROSS THE VAST REACHES OF SPACE."

"What? Those Chaos Emeralds were spread across the galaxy. How could you have helped?" Sonic asked.

"I AM EQUIPPED WITH A WORMHOLE GENERATOR THAT CREATED SHORTCUTS ACROSS SPACE-TIME. HOWEVER, MY SYSTEMS COULD NOT BE ACCESSED WITHOUT THE IGNITION MATRIX, SO A.D.A.M. SOUGHT OTHER METHODS."

"So this is a spaceship?" Wave questioned.

"AFFIRMATIVE."

Sonic crossed his arms while Y/N was surprised. Jet glanced at Y/N who looked away from him.

"More alien losers. Just what this planet needs!"

"So who removed your key, your 'ignition matrix,' and why?"

"IT WAS REMOVED BY THE BABYLONIANS DUE TO AN IRREPLACEABLE MALFUNCTION IN THE WORMHOLE GENERATOR THAT WOULD CAUSE THE CREATION OF A BLACK HOLE IF USED. DESTRUCTION OF THE PLANET WOULD RESULT. THEY REFUSED THAT RESPONSIBILITY, AND SETTLED ON THIS WORLD. THE SHIP AND THE MATRIX WERE HIDDEN TO PREVENT THIS OCCURENCE IN THE FUTURE."

"Astounding! If these Babylonians settled on Mobius, then that means..." Wave said.

"You guys are the alien losers!" Sonic pointed at her.

Just then, Storm grabbed Sonic.

"Hey!"

"Ow! This guys is pointy!"

"Aliens??" Jet, Wave, and Y/N questioned.

"WITH THE IGNITION MATRIX RESTORED, I WILL PROCEED TO ORBIT FOR OPTIMAL GRAVITATIONAL BALANCE AND INITIATE WORMHOLE JUMP. I SUGGEST THE EVACUATION OF THE PLANET, AS IT WILL BE DESTROYED."

"WHAT?!!"

They all exclaimed in shock. All of the sudden, the room began to shake.

"Um, can someone explain what's going on?" Storm asked.

"The ship's pilot is going to open a black hole that will swallow Mobius!" Wave exclaimed.

"The Lightless Black..." Jet murmured, remembering Angelus' words.

Sonic knocked Storm out of his arms and zoomed towards the robot.

"Thanks for waking up the doomsday machine, genius! Let me put it back to sleep... permanently!"

Jet grabbed Sonic before he could reach the robot as he fell to the ground.

"No!! I need to know more about Babylon! Au-Autopilot! I... I am a... descendant of Babylon! I order you to stop!"

"ORDER DENIED. YOU LACK SUFFICIENT SECURITY CLEARANCE. I MUST RETURN TO HOMEWORLD FOR REPAIRS." Robot said.

"Homeworld?! Wave—! Could you reprogram this thing?"

"Maybe, but it will take time. My readings show that we only have minutes before the wormhole jump! If we don't get that key out now, Mobius is done for!"

"Allow me!" Sonic said.

Suddenly, Speedy flew in and knocked all of them down.

"No, allow me! Well, Jet... It looks like the 'Great Destiny' you and my dad have been chasing is about to blow up in all our faces. Maybe I should leave the key where it is, and let you be responsible for the doom of an entire world. How'd that be for a 'Great Destiny'? Nah. I'd rather savor your defeat. Dad is going to pluck you bald and I'll be hailed as the savior of Mobius. All I have to do is pull out this—"

He stopped in his tracks to see the key was gone.

"—key?"

"WARNING. WARNING."

"You birds are lucky I'm the good guy."

The birds all turned and saw Sonic holding the key with Y/N standing next to him.

"If I weren't, I'd make sure you jerks couldn't fly out of here because this heap comes crashing down. Plus, my sis would be disappointed in me and she would want you guys to have a life and a second chance to fix your mistakes."

Y/N felt heart warmed and flattered to hear that as Sonic did the spin dash and destroyed the key.

"NO!!" Jet and Speedy exclaimed.

"LOSS OF POWER TO ENGINES. ALL SYSTEMS FAILING. CRASH LANDING IMMINENT."

"I'd like to stay and make stuffing out of you turkeys, but I need to get back to make sure my friends, Sally, and family are all okay! If anyone isn't okay, then you'd better hope you can ran faster than me."

Y/N was surprised by his tone and felt a little scared on that, but smiled in proudness. She hopped onto her Extreme Gear as he opened the door behind them and Sonic was sucked out because of the air pressure. Y/N stayed there as she held on tight on the wall and looked back at the Babylon Rogues before flicking the shade of her helmet to show them her disappointed look. Jet frowned, looking down in shame.

"I forgive you guys."

With that, she flicked the shade back on and boosted away. She headed towards the New Mobotropolis as the Babylon Garden and the Battle Fortress crashed into another mountain behind her. Soon, they made it to where their friends are waiting.

"Sonic! You're alive!" Sally shouted in relief, running towards him.

"Hey, Sonic! We were worried about you!" Tails said, running towards him as well.

Sally hugged Sonic who happily hugged back.

"Don't worry about me. How's everything here?"

"No casualties." Tails said.

"So what else is new?"

"Nicole is getting started on reconstructing the New Mobotropolis." Rotor explained.

"Hey, who's that?" Sally asked, pointing at Y/N.

"Oh, I don't know. I just met them and they didn't give me their name."

They all looked at Y/N who looked at them nervously and hopped off her Extreme Gear and slowly removed her helmet. Once it was fully removed, she flicked her quills back with her head like a sassy girl as everyone gasped.

"Y/N?!" Sally, Rotor, Bunnie, Antoine, and Tails exclaimed.

"Sis?!"

"Surprise!" Y/N smiled.

Sonic immediately hugged her very tight as she could have swore she heard her back crack.

"I missed you so much!! Where have you been?! Everyone's been so worried about you!! How's your face?? Did anybody touch you? Are you hurt? Let me see!"

"Sonic, Sonic! I'm okay! I'm okay! I just had a little time travel incident and some new powers I discovered on my own."

"Cool! But all that matters is that you're here and okay!"

"Y/N!!"

Sally pushed Sonic off of Y/N much to her amusement and hugged her.

"It's so good to have you back."

"Same, Sal."

Sally then let go of Y/N and gave her a light punch on the arm.

"That's for scaring me to think that you are gone."

"Sorry. It wasn't my intention."

"I know."

"Y/N!!"

Tails swooped in and hugged Y/N as he started crying.

"Y/N!! You're here! I missed you!!"

Y/N giggled and patted his head.

"I missed you too, Tails."

"Pooteetah!!!"

"Kirby!"

Y/N gasped and turned to see Kirby running towards her with three tears coming out of his three eyes and jumped onto her. She happily hugged him while he snuggle into her.

"I know. I miss you, Kirby. Don't worry. I'm home now."

She turned to everyone who are beyond happy to see her.

"I'm back."

It was now sunset after a great reunions with her friends and her family, Y/N was back in her treehouse with Kirby as she placed her Extreme Gear to the side of her room and the Nephrite in a jewelry boxes where all the other jewels are that she likes to keep. She lie down on her bed with a blissful sigh as Kirby jumps in next to her with a same sigh she did.

"Ahh... It feels good to be home and to be in this soft bed and with you Kirby."

"Pooteetah, pooteetah." Kirby agreed.

"Yeah..."

They both closes their eyes as they take a good nap with a small snore. Just as they were having a 5 minutes of sleep, they suddenly heard a knock on the door. With a groan, Y/N sat up from her bed and got off of it, heading towards the door.

"Who could that be for waking me up in the middle of my sleep?"

She opened the door and was then wide awake as she was shocked to see a certain she never expect to see again. It was Jet. He looked away, rubbing the back of his head.

"Jet? Wha-? How did you find me? How did you know I live here?"

"Uh... I may or may not have told Wave to place the tracker on your Extreme Gear..."

Her eyes widened and ran over to her Extreme Gear and flipped it to see it was indeed the tracker as it blinked red. Y/N turned her head to glare at Jet who laughed nervously. She took out the tracker and crushed it with her fist.

"What do you want?"

"I just... wanted to apologize to what happen to your home. I know that you already forgive me, but I still feel really bad and wanted to make it up to you. I was thinking... maybe we could go for a fly?"

She raised her eyebrow, not expecting it. Y/N looked away.

"Fly to where? I don't know..."

"I can at least show you. Trust me."

She stared at him to see him sincere about it before she sighed.

"Alright."

His eyes widened in surprise.

"Really?! *ahem* I mean, great. Grab your Extreme Gear. I think it's time for some little fun that will surely get you surprise."

"Okay."

Y/N puts on her regular bodysuit and grabs her Extreme Gear as she silently closes the door to make sure not to wake Kirby up before her and Jet boosted off into the sky as the sky begins to darken.

"Come on."

Jet led the way as Y/N follow after him to the place that she will never forget.

As they fly, Y/N could see her own shadow on a cloud along with Jet's. They fly into a vortex and Jet flies through the cloud which makes him invisible for a second before he appears before her covered with clouds. He invites Y/N to do the same with a playful grin. Determined, she closes her eyes and flies through the cloud. She then appears as she got some clouds above her lips that looks like a mustache. Jet laughs, making her pout but end up laughing with him as she dusted out the clouds. Next, they fly with each other, almost romantically. They fly up together to where the moon is that glows brightly as they face each other with their eyes sparkling with... love. Jet gives Y/N's head a light kiss, making her blush, and then they fly back down again. The Northern Lights are seen as they fly above the ocean. Y/N was amazed at how beautiful the lights are, making Jet smile. She look down at the reflection of herself on the ocean with the addition to the Northern Lights and places her hand on it as they splash through. Jet looks very happy for himself that she's enjoying the flight.

They then boosted their Extreme Gear to the next flight as they head over to the wave that are beginning to rise and they quickly surf through. Y/N place her hand through the wave to feel the water once more as they surf while Jet did the same. Once they made it out of the wave before the wave dies down, they let out a cheer as they're having fun. They did it again with the rest of the waves that rise up.

After they were done, Jet took her hand and guided her to a spot where they can sit there and enjoy the show as they got off of their board and sat down, watching the beauty of the Northern Lights as they dance in unison bold, watching captivates and delights bravely traverse the icy cold as they dance in unison bold, vibrant colorful swirls display bravely traverse the icy cold with passion they boogie and play vibrant colorful swirls display, looking upwards through cone shaped space with passion they boogie and play as they are in a happy place. Jet looks at her in concern, but she brushed it off and smiled, knowing they're in peace and home.

"Thanks for taking me there."

Jet was surprised for a moment and then smiled.

"You're welcome."

Y/N leaned her head against his shoulder, causing him to turn red for a minute. He gulps and wraps his arm around her to hold her close. She smiles and closes her eyes to treasure this beautiful moment she has with Jet as he smiles down at her and look back at the Northern Lights once more.
