"Oh, Ms. Y/N. May I talk to you alone?" Constant Vigil asked, looking straight at Y/N and making everyone stop their leave.

"Oh, uh, sure. Why?"

"You'll see once your friends leave. I like to have you here for a while."

"Huh? How is she going to get back? We kinda need her." Sonic asked in confusion, first it was Bride of Endless Reach and now Constant Vigil.

"I'll send my ninja to take her home."

Sonic looked at her in concern, but she reassured him with a smile.

"Don't worry. You can deal with other things without me."

She handed Kirby to Ken and patted his orange fluffy head.

"Pooteetah?"

"It's alright. You'll be fine without me. Be strong for me."

Kirby eventually nodded and Sonic left with Sally, Ken, Kirby, and Tails, leaving her with Constant Vigil.

"Espio told me that your katana was broken. He told me a lot about you and your abilities. I'm very much eager to know what you're capable of in person."

Y/N bowed to her.

"I'm honored to hear that. What's the ocassion?"

"I want you to get the katana called the Crystal Ice."

"What's that?" Y/N asked, looking interested to hear it.

"It was crafted from crystals found deep in the Northlands, the weapon will never shatter, no matter how fragile it looks." she explained. "I want you to get that katana and prove me how worthy you are if you wish to accept this challenge."

Y/N was surprised to hear this. This is her first time being asked to do the training that will be more challenging. She bow to her.

"I will gladly accept your offer."

Constant Vigil nodded.

"Good. Tonight, you go to the temple at night at 7 pm sharp. Be there before midnight."

Y/N nodded without complaint, bowing to her once again while feeling determined to complete this mission she's excited on.

Y/N woke up as it is almost night time and it's 6:55 PM. She quickly got herself ready and grabbed the blue metal mask to cover her face along with the new outfit (Picture on top and she still wears a rocket roller skating shoes, but in different color which is black) she's was given as a gift.

Y/N bowed to Li Yuen and Li Moon for taking care of her and bid them goodbye before she went off. She jumped over the rocks that leads to the river towards the temple at the highest mountain.

Once she comes across, she could see some pink petals falling from cherry blossom tree. Y/N brought out her whip and lassoed to the rock as it got caught before she kangaroo jumped high from her roller skates and landed on the small edge of the cliff. She catapulted herself to the branch and quickly jumped to the next edge as she kept on going. She then made it to the top and gracefully landed to see a red temple with two lion statues in front on each side. Y/N could see a wonderful view of the waterfall that's far away and a field of pink cherry blossom trees.

Y/N took a step forward to the entrance and slowly and cautiously open the door. She looked inside to see nothing but a nice room area as she close the door behind her. As she walk in, she didn't notice she stepped on the button from the floor with a loud click. Y/N gasped and quickly backed away as the room activate into a one heck of the obstacles filled with spikes and other kinds of dangerous things as this is her first training. Get through the obstacles without getting hurt.

She started to run towards the Serpent Logs that are spinning and jump over without slippining while standing. She dodges the swinging spiked clubs and manages to smash one with her fist. Y/N then leaps onto the jade-colored turtle shell and balances on it, nearly doing a split. Her ears twitches and brought out her whip and deflect the arrows that are shooting her out of nowhere. Jumping down, she made it to the army of wooden crocodile warriors.

Y/N took a deep breath and activates her rocket roller skates to help go even more faster thanks to the upgrades from Tails. She then weaves through them as they spin rapidly while she dodges and punches them. Finally, she made it out without a single scratch and stopped to the Field of Fiery Death. On cue, one of the fire spurts out of the hole.

"You can do this... You can do this." she took a deep breath and took a step on the Field of Fiery Death.

She hears a weird screech sound and quickly dodges the fire that spurts out. Y/N starts running and dodging as more fire comes as it looks like she's dancing. Just as she thought she was going to make it, a huge wall of fire blocks her. She glared in determination and kanagaroo jump over the fire with a backflip and landed gracefully. She look back as the fire faded away. Y/N had successfully went through the dangerous training course without getting scratched or worse burned. She walked away to continue searching for the sword.

She opened the door to find a rather beautiful jade palace and could see a tub filled with clear water in the middle of the area.

Y/N looked around in wonder and awe as she stopped by the edge of the water and looked up to see a golden dragon on top of the ceiling. That's when she saw a sword in the mouth of the dragon. She was about to jump to take when she stopped, feeling a presence.

"Hold on..."

Y/N looked behind her to find no one, but she can still feel that someone is here.

"This feels too easy."

She turned around and in front of her is a ninja chameleon dressed full black with their yellow horn pointing out.

She could have sworn she saw someone familiar behind that mask.

"I don't know who you are, and I know it's your job to try and stop me, but you won't."

"Don't mistake spirit for skill, ma'am. I promise you will not set foot on that crystal ice sword around the dragon. Not even a toe." he said in a deep voice.

"You might want to take out that blade. You're gonna need it."

"I gladly will."

Y/N brought out her whip as Ninja Chameleon brought out his katana. Y/N kangaroo jumps up high trying to grab the sword when the chameleon was already on top of the ceiling as he swung his sword towards her which she quickly blocked it with her shield she activate as she landed back on the ground. Y/N goes around the tub to find another way when chameleon appears before her as she quickly swings her whip and caught his sword that he was about to attack her with. She made him lose his grip on his sword as she made it go towards her and she grabbed it. Ninja Chameleon brought out two kunais.

She charges him with the sword raised when he deflected it. They struggled to push each other away until he managed to push her off as she nearly fell into the water after she caught herself on the ground and her nose slightly touched the water. Y/N glared in determination, not giving up. She got up and jumped towards him with her sword raised once again. She slammed her sword against his kunais as his arms were down a little from the hard hit. Y/N kicked him right in the face, causing him to be pushed back and then she kicked him in the stomach. He groaned in pain and looked up a little too late to see her about to slice him as he quickly moves back away from her. He dodged every swings not realizing he was heading towards the water behind him. He stopped by the edge, feeling no floor. This gave her a chance as she use the sword to knock the kunais out of his grip. He was about to fight her off when she kicked him straight towards the water as he began to fall.

Y/N quickly caught him by the collar, seeing as he has no chance in getting out not without pointing the blade at his face. He stopped, knowing he's done for. They stand there for a moment until she removed the blade away from him and out of nowhere, she booped his horn with her finger.

"Boop!"

He never expected that as Y/N pulled the mask down to reveal her face, smiling at him.

"I know it's you, Espio. You fight good."

He removed his mask to reveal that he is Espio as he gave her a soft smile.

"How did you know it was me?" he asked in a regular voice.

"Your moves kinda gave it away. They were familiar. Plus, you're bad with that voice of yours."

"I tried. I probably should've been more harder on you and give you more difficulties."

"Hey, don't beat yourself up too much. You give it your best."

Espio gaze at her, still smiling.

"You won. You truly earned the sword."

He started to climb up the wall to the ceiling where the golden dragon is as he carefully remove the sheathed katana from the mouth. Once he had it, he jumped down with a flip and landed gracefully in front of her.

"Behold, the crystal ice katana."

Y/N took the sheathed katana from him and unsheathed it to reveal a beautiful grey and blue blade.

She swings it around for a sec and could feel the powerful energy from the katana. Y/N then sheathed it back and placed it behind her back and strapped it to make sure it's there with her.

"Thanks, Espio. And to your mom as well."

"Heh. You knew after I nearly blurt it out." Espio chuckled.

"Yeah. And you might need this one back." Y/N said, handing his sword that she stole from him during the fight back to him.

"Thank you, Y/N."

Espio placed the sheath on his sword and placed it behind his back as well.

"You are a true warrior as my mother have seen you."

"I'm glad. Now, shall we head back to our friends? I have a feeling they might need some backup. Do you have the Fan of Fen Xing?"

"Yeah, and it's here with me. Let's go." he nodded.

They then walk out of the jade place and out of the building towards New Mobotropolis that's in need of a rescue along with their family and friends.
