Y/N, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Mighty, and Mina are all sitting in a crisscross position in a circle around a green flaming candle as Merlin performed the spell with green smoke filling up the room.

"Monstaris Exsecratibus Me!"

A green light brightened up the room, causing them to cover their eyes. It then died down.

"Merlin? Does this mean...?" Y/N asked.

"Yes, Y/N. The curses laid upon all of your friends is no more."

"Thank you, Mr. Prower. It's a load off my mind." Knuckles said.

"But not mine. I was never cursed. It was a nice light show, but why include me?" Sonic asked.

"The hex Dr. Finitevus placed on the Master Emerald was an incredibly powerful one. You should not have been able to draw power from the gem. I wanted to be sure there were no ill effects on you."

"Good common sense." Y/N said.

"Okay, now it's a load off my mind. But how did I turn into Super Sonic if its power was 'locked?'"

"That, I'm afraid, is a mystery. Which brings me back to my next order of business." Merlin said, packing up his things.

"Right. You sure you'll be okay on your own?" Tails asked, handing him his staff.

"I'm sure. I have friends in high places."

"Why can't you do your meditations here? Nicole could build you whatever you need..."

"I'm sure she could, but if I am to come closer to the Chaos Force, I must do so by my own means."

Tails hugged his uncle.

"I'll miss you!"

Merlin hugged back.

"And I you. My precious nephew. Give my love to your parents. I truly cannot afford to tarry any longer."

With that, Merlin left with a wave.

"You gonna be okay, Tails?" Y/N asked, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Tails wiped his tears away.

"Y-Yeah. I think I need to work on something."

"Okay."

"Give me a shout if you need me and sis, okay?" Sonic said. "I'll be with Sally. She said she wanted to see me."

"I bet it's to kiss you, bro." Y/N smirked.

Sonic rolled his eyes playfully and shoved her away, causing her to chuckle.

"Shut up, sis."

Y/N was taking a walk alone almost far away from her home as she had speed up with her rocket roller skates to go a little faster. She stopped to see the old bar and quietly snuck in and looked through the window. She was shocked to see the Destructix, Bounty Hunters, and worst, Mogul.

"What are you up to now?" Y/N whispered and brought out her communicator with a record as it blinked red and held it up where they won't see it.

"Good morning, gentlemen. Shall we get down to business?" Mogul greeted.

"I'm not sure the Destructix are for hire for you, Mogul. You would have let Dr. Eggman destroy us, and now word is you're going soft." Sleuth said.

"'Soft,' you say?"

"You get your Chaos Emerald back, and what do you do? You let Sonic go, and you free these jokers. What would you call that?"

"A cautious investment. Do not play the wounded heart with me, Sleuth. You and your cadre are in it for the money. Your being here is proof enough. And your mutual vendetta with Sonic is something I wish to endorse."

Sleuth punch his fist with a grin.

"So this is about Sonic."

"Shiiiiny!" Bean exclaimed, looking at the silver spoon.

"I'll pay handsomely for the shoes of Sonic the Hedgehog. It is up to you if his feet are still in them."

"What would that girl Y/N? She's much more dangerous than the others." Nack asked and shivered. "She scares me."

Y/N grinned evilly that the villains should be scared of her.

"That would be a little complicated. I suggest you capture her. I'm sure one of you wanted her."

"With pleasure." Sleuth smirked.

Their conversation continued on and those next words made her mad. They're planning on making Sonic look bad as Mogul had planned. That's all she needed to hear. She quickly saved the recording and made sure it's kept safe and hidden. A finger tapped her shoulder and she turned to see Lightning and Predator.

"Y'know it's rude to eavesdrop on them." Lightning smirked.

Y/N said nothing and stood up, staring deadly at them.

"How about we take this somewhere where we won't interrupt their drink?"

"With pleasure, sweetheart." Predator smirked.

Once they made it to a quiet place, Y/N got into her stance as Predator and Lightning surround her in a circle.

"Give us that record and we won't hurt you."

"Over my dead body." she said.

"That makes us sad."

"Shut up."

Then, Lightning charged first bringing out his fist and Y/N dodged it. She tried to punch him back but he dodged that while attempting to punch her again as they dodge from each other's fists. Y/N managed to block his fist with her arm and kneed him in the gut, sending him flying. Lightning was slammed against the tree and collapsed on the ground as his head spins with stars flying around his head.

Predator let out a battle cry and Y/N looked back to see him bringing out his claws to scratch her. She quickly ducked from it and backed away for a bit. Predator turned to her who brought out her fists. He charged her again when she grabbed his wrists and threw him over her shoulder before kneeing him in the gut also. He collapsed on the ground with a grunt. Y/N was about to get away as she thought they're done when her ears twitched to hear Lightning. With her quick reflex, she brought out her katana just in time to block the big ninja star he's holding. This surprised her at how big it is. She then brought out her shield from her arm to block the claws of Predator. They tried to put her down as she struggled to hold them back.

With determination, Y/N twist her katana around the big star and lift her shield up, surprising them and she turned her whole body to send the boys fly past her. Predator and Lightning sat up with a groan and when they look up they couldn't help but feel their eyes turn into hearts again as Y/N walks up to them, making her shield disappear and putting away her katana. Behind her are pink heart background as they imagined.

"You know, you two're fun. And kinda... cute."

She brought out her whip, spinning them, and throwing it towards them in a flash. Before they knew it, they are unconscious with a goofy smile on their faces as they were leaning against the bark of the tree to make it look like they're sleeping. Y/N dusted off her hands and zoomed off as Sergeant walks over to them and grabs them.

"Hey! You two! Wake up! On your feet! And wipe those stupid grins off your faces!"

If only he knew, they were actually taken down and knocked out by Y/N.

Y/N looked around for the search of her brother when she saw the nice casino and could see the whole ruckus and walked in just in time to see Sonic, Sally, Amy, Rouge, and Geoffrey.

"Mogul! Get out here and meet me face to your ugly face!"

Y/N snickered at it as she was hiding in the crowd waiting for the time to come. The robot securities walk over to Sonic.

"YOU ARE CAUSING A DISTURBANCE, SIR."

"WE MUST ASK YOU TO LEAVE."

"Please, you guys were outdated a long time ago!"

Sonic performed his spin dash and destroyed one of the robots while Amy smashed another robot with her hammer. Mogul walks over to them with a fake distressed look on his face.

"What is the meaning of this? I told you our business was concluded, boy!"

Sally walks over and points at him.

"Then why did you put a bounty out on Sonic?"

"A bounty on an innocent young man? How petty do you presume me to be?"

"How else do you explain the thugs who had Sonic trapped in your back room?"

Y/N's eyes widen to hear that and growled.

"Preposterous! Sleuth! What have you been using the old bar for?"

Sleuth walked in with a fake angry look.

"You've gone soft, Mogul. We've been using your generous gift of the old bottom of the barrel bar and grill as a front for our mercenary actions!"

"Scoundrel! See to it he and his ruffian compatriots are expelled from the premises."

"Give me a break! That's not how it was!" Sonic glared.

"Aside from your heresy, what proof do you have to counter a full confession?"

They said nothing.

"...None." Sally grimaced.

That was enough for Y/N to walk past the crowd as they recognized her and let her through.

"No. But I do."

They turned and were surprised to see her.

"Sis!"

"Y-You have?" Mogul stuttered, looking nervous along with the Destructix as Predator and Lightning were scared, remembering seeing her spying on them.

"You know, you look so convincing to act so innocent when you're not. I manage to record your entire conversation with the Destructix as well as the Bounty Hunters, those Hooligans. I nearly got caught and I should thank Predator and Lightning for letting me escape."

Y/N glanced at the certain boys and winked and blew them a kiss. Sleuth turned to them in anger.

"You two what?! Why didn't you tell us?!"

"We tried..."

Y/N smirked and brought out her communicator for everyone to see and played the record as it showed the hologram of Mogul having conversation with the Destructix and Bounty Hunters. The crowd were surprised as murmurs were heard before they gave Mogul and the villains a glare. Y/N smirked at them as they look nervous as the robot securities now turn to the real disturbance.

"Nice try, villains. Learn to be more secretive if you know there'll be spies among you."

"SIR, PLEASE LEAVE ALONG WITH YOUR FRIENDS. YOU'RE NO LONGER WELCOME HERE."

"IF YOU DON'T, WE WILL FORCE YOU TO."

"Blasted. Fine..." Mogul growled as he and the others leave. "I would've gotten away if it wasn't for that meddling sister of yours."

"Let's just say, she's a more of a detective. Detective Y/N the Hedgehog." Sonic grinned, wrapping his arm around her shoulder.

"Bye, bye, Mogul. And don't come back." Y/N waved while giving Predator and Lightning a wink again as they blush in embarrassment before they were being yelled at by Sleuth again.

"WE'RE SORRY."

"WE HAVE NO IDEA."

"No problem. I suggest we go home." Sonic said.

"Yeah, let's." Amy agreed.

"Never knew you can be a spy as well." Rouge said with a smirk, sliding her finger up Y/N's cheek.

"There's plenty of things you don't know about me."

"Good job there, Y/N. We would've been humiliated if it weren't for your save." Sally said.

"Not bad." Geoffrey said.

"Thanks you guys." Y/N smiled as they walk out of the casino towards New Mobotropolis.

It's been a week since then as Y/N was now in the middle of the battle in New Megaopolis with Sonic and the Chaotix fighting against the Dark Egg Legion.

"Press froward, Chaotix! We got 'em on the run!" Vector shouted.

Y/N was hiding behind the broken wall next to Knuckles.

"Already? Seriously, did you guys even need me and sis for this one? The new Dark Egg Legion is a joke." Sonic joked.

Y/N giggled and noticed Knuckles wasn't even laughing and had a down look.

"...And I note you're not laughing."

"Because I'm responsible for them."

"Knuckles. We've talked about this. Don't start this again." Y/N scolded him.

Sonic, Y/N, and Knuckles quickly ran off to dodge incoming lasers that are shooting them.

"It was my actions as Enerjak that forced them to make an alliance with Dr. Robotnik!"

Sonic and Y/N jumped over the dark cloaked echidnas.

"You were under a spell, Knux. And you didn't make them sell themselves out. They chose to do that."

Knuckles bounced off the dark cloaked echidna on a flying ship and punched another one.

"But I took their cybernetics away. And they're almost all that is left of my people. I have to try to help them. I need to get to their leader! Cover me!"

"Alright..." Y/N sighed.

"Gotcha, Mighty...! Back us up!" Sonic said.

Y/N flipped over the dark cloaked echidna and kicked them square in the face as they slammed into each other who was about to shoot her.

"Clear the way! My man's got to talk to the lady in charge!"

"Protect the Kommissar!"

Mighty came down and slapped them off, sending them flying as they scream for their life. Knuckles fly up to Lien-Da who's flying on her ship and face her.

"Lien-Da."

"Guardian."

"Listen to me. It doesn't have to be this way. Just like your ancestor before you, you can do the right thing and give the Dark Legion a chance at peace."

Y/N looked up and listened, hoping the words will get to her. She may not like her, but she needs to stop because all her attempt are useless.

"Don't pretend to know what's best for us. Your ancestors never did, and you're just as clueless now. You've done more than enough for us, anyway."

"But working for the Eggman Empire?"

"Snively! Where are my reinforcements?"

"What reinforcements? You're the standing army now!"

Lien-Da looked at Knuckles who gave her a soft smile for a moment. She turned away and flew off from him.

"Dark Egg Legion! Fall back! We've lost this position!"

Knuckles looked on sadly and fly back down to the ground.

"Why won't she listen to me?"

"She was never much of a listener. Never much of a sister, either." Julie-Su said, glaring at Lien-Da.

"I feel you. But at least, you tried." Y/N assured him.

Sonic wrapped his arm around Knuckles' shoulder to comfort him.

"So you didn't get through to her this time. Maybe once we finish taking over Eggman's trashy little city she'll straighten out. So give yourself a break and leave the brooding angst to Shadow."

"Shadow was not that brooding, you know." Y/N deadpanned.

"Good work, everyone! This sector is secure. How's our second team doing?" Vector said.

Julie-Su checked her communicator through her quill.

"Checking in with them now. Saffron, do you read me?"

"Loud and clear, Julie-Su! The boys are almost done setting all the charges. When we blow this tower, Dr. Eggman won't be able to make contact with half the continent!"

"Good to hear! Pull out, and we'll meet you at the rendezvous point."

"Um... Actually... We're going to meet some back-up!"

They could hear the distress as they knew they're in trouble. Y/N noticed Sonic was checking his communicator and checked hers as she was also on a call.

"Hang on, Saffron! We're on our way!"

"What's wrong? What happened to Charmy?" Espio asked in concern.

"Lien-Da's retreat led her right to the others. They need our help."

"Which is a problem. Apparently, something is going down back home." Sonic said.

"Then head back. Like you said, we don't need you here." Knuckles said with a grin.

"We'll turn this flanking into an ambush." Mighty added.

"Alright, Chaotix. See you back at the homestead! Come on, sis!"

"I'll be back in a sec!"

Sonic nodded and ran off as Y/N turned to Knuckles.

"Just in case you guys are in big trouble..."

Y/N unclipped her pendant and handed it to him, surprising everyone.

"Your pendant? I-I can't use this. It's yours."

She placed a hand on his.

"You might need this more than me. Use it well and use it wisely."

Knuckles looked at her and smiled, gripping her pendant softly.

"Okay. Thanks."

Y/N nodded, smiling back and rocket skated after Sonic.

"Take care, you guys!"

They sure will thank Y/N for it as they had a much bigger problem to deal with.

Sonic and Y/N made it on time to the Freedom HQ as Sonic kicked the door open, making a dramatic entrance.

"A heads-up to any jerks present: the hedgehogs are in the house!"

"At last! Sonic, Y/N, in here!" Sally smiled in relief.

Y/N turned and glared to see Fiona and the Anti-Freedom Fighters she never thought she would see them again.

"Sorry, hon, but I think you need to speed up your grand entrance!"

A green boot was brought out from the portal and it revealed Scourge with a grey crown on his head as he stepped out.

"Attention to all the scrubs of this zone: the king has arrived. Respect."

"You've got to be kidding me!" Y/N groaned, leaning her head back.
