Sonic, Y/N, and Kirby are at the Acorn Castle with Uncle Chuck as King Elias called them to come over for a very important reason.

"...So in light of your services to the kingdom, I would gladly return your Knighthood." Elias said to Sonic and turned to Y/N. "And Y/N, you have been the most daring and most helpful to everythig you have done. I am honored to call you as the greatest warrior to the kingdom."

"I am truly honored, Your Majesty." Y/N bowed.

"Pooteetah." Kirby said.

"I appreciate it, Elias... er, Your Majesty... But I don't need a title to keep me cool." Sonic said.

Uncle Chuck placed a hand on Sonic's shoulder.

"Come now, Sonic. Knighthood is a prestigious honor. Your sister at least agreed to be titled 'The Warrior'."

"Cooler than 'hero of everything'?" Sonic joked. "Nah, Uncle Chuck, it's cool. Besides, there's already a knight in the family-- You!"

"That's one reason I asked for you, Sir Charles. It's also why I hoped you would accept it, Sonic." Elias said, showing them the big picture of his father as a king. "Even during the Great War, my father would rely on his knights and the court of Acorn... Now I am king and my people are still at war with Dr. Eggman. If I am going to lead us peace, I need support. I need a new court of Acorn. Starting with anyone who remains from the old court."

Y/N wondered who when her wristwatch started beeping. She picked it up to see a small hologram of Nicole.

"Nicole? What's a sitch?"

"Y/N! Sonic! You two need to get to Knothole now! Tails along with his Uncle Merlin and Sir Connery are being attacked by the Destructix! The others are already on their way! Hurry!"

"Tails! We're coming!" Y/N gasped. "Let's go, Kirby!"

She grabbed Kirby and placed him on her shoulder as she and Sonic runs or skates off straight to Knothole. When they made it in time, they see Tails, Uncle Merlin, and Sir Connery are attacked by a big gorilla called Sergeant Simian. He has brown fur, blue eyes and Caucasian skin. He wears military helmet, green pants, green boots and ammo belt.

Next, is a deep sky blue hawk called Predator Hawk. He has blue eyes and wears red headband, red clawed gloves, red shoes, and bandolier. Another is a lynx called Lightning Lynx. He has light brown, black fur, and blue eyes. He wears blue boots and gloves with lightning markings. Then, there's a green frog with blue eyes called Flying Frog. He wears brown pants, brown boots, brown gloves, brown helmet with goggles, and white scarf. Along with him is a brown dog with blue eyes called Sleuth Dawg. He wears blue shirt, blue pants, and heavy army boots. Lastly, there's a white wolf with black with yellow sclera eyes called Drago Wolf. He wears purple sleeveless uniform.

Sleuth was pointing the sword at Sir Connery's neck, standing on top of him as Flying has his white scarf wrapped around Merlin's neck, and Predator standing on top of Tails with his red gloved claws out.

"Do your jugular a favor and stay down! How are you doing, Flying Frog?" Sleuth said.

"Can't cast a spell if he can't take a breath!" Flying sang. "How's your dinner coming, Predator Hawk?"

"All too easy." Predator replied with a smirk.

Y/N charged Predator and gave him a good kick to the stomach, sending him flying. He cough out a spit and crash into Drago.

"Y/N!" Tails smiled in happiness as she helped him up.

"Get that sword ready, Sleuth Dog." Sergeant ordered.

"I don't think it'll do me much good, Sergeant Simian!"

"Dude, not much sets me off, but when you go after Tails, you're asking for..." Sonic started as Antoine, Bunnie, Fiona, and Knuckles came to help.

"...serious trouble!!" Y/N growled, holding Tails close and making him blush.

"Aw, I'm okay, Y/N!"

"So— Destructix, huh?" Sonic asked.

"You heard that?" Sergeant asked with a glare.

"I think they heard you in Furville."

"We can't be the Fearsome Foursome anymore. There's six of us."

"Fair enough. Just surprised you can count."

"Numbers mean nothing. I do not fear you or your loser friends." Y/N pointed at him, causing Sergeant to growl.

Y/N helped Bunnie and Knuckles fight off against Sergeant as they both punch him right in the face before Y/N jumped up towards his face and punched him rapidly towards his chest as he fall to the ground unconscious along with the Destructix as they're piled up. Kirby stand over their body with a triumphant pose.

"New team name, same old lameness." Sonic smirked with his hands on his hips.

"Yep." Y/N placed her elbow on Sonic's shoulder.

Fiona came and wrapped her arms around Y/N's arm, causing her to blush. Tails gave the green Chaos Emerald back to Merlin.

"Regardless, we must get to King Acorn immediately." Merlin said.

"Go on. The Chaotix and I will clean up this mess." Knuckles said.

Y/N patted Knuckles' shoulder before she and her friends left to the Acorn Castle.

They are now back at the throne room.

"Your timing couldn't be better! Merlin Prower! Sir Connery! Please rise and tell me what has brought you home." Elias said.

"I was called from your father's service by the Ancient Walkers. They gave me this— the Sword of Light— to purge the world of dark magic. With that duty finished, they charged me with guarding Merlin Prower and his precious captive." Sir Connery explained, showing him the sword.

"Captive?"

"Mammoth Mogul, my lord— Recently debated and trapped within his own Chaos Emerald. He fell to a trap set by the Ancient Walkers long ago." Merlin said. "Thousands of years ago, the Ancient Walkers foresaw Mogul to be a threat. While they refused to combat destiny, they did curse the emerald that Mogul has fated to obtain. Mogul used its power, and the Chaos Emerald always led him to a key misjudgment— until he was ultimately trapped within."

"So what's the problem?" Sonic asked.

"Once he was free of the Master Emerald, Mogul used the last of his strength to wound the Ancient Walkers. They have been dying ever since. If they die their charm over the emerald will break, and Mogul will be free."

"Then what can we do?" Y/N asked.

"Since you've come to me, I'm guessing I can help somehow." Elias said.

"Indeed! Your crown and its mate— the Sword of Acorn— are essential to saving the Ancient Walkers." Merlin said.

Elias removed the crown from his head.

"The crown? What's so special about it and the sword?"

"I can answer that for you, Elias." Sally said, walking in.

"Sally!"

"I dealt with both personally, brother. They were made from a pure sample of the Source of All— the substance that is the base material for everything. They can channel and produce vast amounts of magical energy. It has been the source of power for the Acorn Lineage since the first king."

"But the rest of it was probably nuked with the rest of Robotropolis." Sonic said.

"I gave the Sword of Acorns to the orphans to Uma Arachnis when it seemed to be growing too... commanding."

Merlin placed a hand on Sally's shoulder.

"I was afraid they would be separated. We must find the sword as soon as possible."

Elias held the crown to Merlin.

"You won't start your search empty-handed. I can give the Crown of Acorns to protect my people from a future threat."

"Thank you, King Elias. That means we can still hope."

"Of course you can hope. You've got the one and only Sonic and Y/N the Hedgehogs here."

Merlin smiled in gratefulness and took the crown and held up the Chaos Emerald.

"Thank you all. With your support and this promising beginning, we may now—"

All of the sudden a green light shot out of the Chaos Emerald, knocking Merlin unconscious.

"Uncle Merlin!" Tails exclaimed, running over to his aid along with Sonic and Y/N.

"A valiant attempt, Sagely Prower..."

There stood a brown mammoth with dark green eyes. He wears black shoes, golden rings, and purple suit and holding a brown cane as he stepped out of the green light. Mammoth Mogul.

"...but your efforts were too little, too late."

They all gathered around Mogul as Y/N took out her whip, ready to fight.

"Mammoth Mogul!" Sonic glared.

"We have to take him down quick!" Tails said.

"Like I'd do it any other way."

"Oh, Mercian Chaos Force...!" Merlin gasped in fright.

"Merlin! If Mogul is free, then that means..." Sir Connery started.

"I'm afraid so, Sir Connery! The Ancient Walkers are dead!"

They go to attack Mogul when he put up a green shield.

"What's with the shield, Chubby? Not such a big-shot when you don't have so much Chaos energy?"

"You will rue the day you slew the noblest beings to grace Mobius!"

Mogul blast out the Chaos energy, knocking everyone unconscious as Y/N didn't get to create a bubble shield for everyone. Kirby was hiding behind the throne chair as Mogul left with a crown Elias had dropped. Kirby then ran over to them and tried to wake them up while jumping on their body and slapping their faces.

Meanwhile, the Destructix are in jail just sitting down and doing nothing in the cell.

"Wow, I sure regret not sticking with you guys!" Snively snickered. "Big bad Fearsome Foursome— No, excuse me, Destructix— got thrown in the slammer in record time! Bwahahaha!"

The green light brightened up.

"What is that light..."

The wall behind the Destructix cracked open with a big hole. They quickly got out without hesitation as Sergeant waved at Snively with a smirk.

"Holy—!"

"See you later."

They saw Mogul and kneel down before him.

"Your Destructix pledge their Ives to you once more, Lord Mogul."

"Destructix? How... quaint. Rise my minions. A monumental quest lies before us to acquire the Sword of Acorns we shall begin searching—"

A yellow light appeared before them as they reveal Ixis Naugus and the Arachne Clan.

"Ah, Knothole! It has grown prosperous of course, the Crown of Acorns would be there."

"How serendipitous. The acquisition of the Sword of Acorns has become infinitely less onerous."

"Ah!" Ixis exclaimed.

"You! Hand over that relic! I will possess the last of the Source of All!" Ixis and Mogul said together.

"Fool! I am Ixis Naugus, master of the elements! He that fused the void with the Zone of Silence! The last great lord of the Order Isis!"

"You can not fathom how inferior you are in comparison. Nor are you the last order of the order. My order."

"For your sakes, guys..."

They looked to reveal not only Sonic and Y/N, but the rest of the gang along with the Chaotix.

"...I hope you can fight as much as you can talk. We'll be taking those back now, by the way."

The fight started as they all fought to get back the Sword and the Crown of Acorns. Kirby saw Drago and charged him with a war cry. Drago turn and snicker at how pathetic the little alien is. Kirby jumped onto his shoulder and dug himself inside his shirt and move around very fast. Drago started to laugh, trying to get him off. Kirby jumped out of his shirt from the chest and poked him the eyes and pulled his ears, causing him to yell in pain. Sonic ran over to Drago and punched him square in the face. Kirby jumped and landed on Sonic's shoulder. Sonic gave him a high-five for doing a good job.

Meanwhile, Y/N saw Tails and Ray fly up to Predator as he easily took them down. He goes to bring out another attack at Tails the most. Y/N glared at Predator in anger, feeling her power radiating from the ruby as it brought out something. She grabbed it and took it out to reveal the pink hand fan as she unfanned it.

Y/N threw it towards Predator and hits him straight in the beak as it flies back to her like a boomerang.

Predator shook his head and glare down to see Y/N who caught the hand fan and brought out her katana in a fighting pose.

"Back off, feather face!"

Instead of getting mad, he smirked as if the Cupid's arrow struck his heart.

"Sure thing."

He flew down and charged her. Y/N quickly backflipped away from him when he was about to claw her. Predator spins and kicked her straight in the chest as she fall backwards. But he caught her by the hand and spin her and dip her down, shocking her.

"Call me what you will. I am... the most interesting hawk in the world."

Tails got up, hearing it and growl in anger with eyes burning with fire. Predator spin her away and make her crash into Espio who was fighting off Lightning. Tails flew up after Predator to give him a piece of his mind. Y/N looked up to see Lightning who's in awe at her appearance and brought out her fan and fanned him as it created a gust of wind blowing him away. She got up and helped Espio up.

"Sorry I crash into you."

"It's okay. At least, you help me fight off Lightning."

Y/N smiled and turned and her smile dropped when Merlin and Sir Connery were sent flying over her head.

"Sonic! Knuckles! Heads up!"

Sonic and Knuckles jumped up in the air and caught them.

"Would you mind not dying? Tails is fond of having a family again!" Sonic said to Merlin.

"Sir Connery! Good to see you again." Knuckles said.

"Ugh... You, too, lad."

Y/N turned to see Mogul and Ixis talking.

"Y-You... You with a mastery of the Ixis magics... You who called it your order... Can it be? Are you truly...?"

"Yes, but that was long, long ago." Mogul said. "I once ruled Mobius, but with an ignorant control of my power. An ignorance that lead to my downfall. I learned the basic principles of my power. The very essence of nature and grew wise and powerful. Such power drew the attention of others eager minds and those who would serve me. But my order of Ixis was not meant to be. Our bid for world domination was crushed during the Forgotten War with the Albion Knights of Aurora. I thought all of my followers had been eradicated In that confrontation. I see that at least one had remained."

"Then it's true! Your power, your knowledge, it must mean...!" Ixis said.

"Yes, Naugus, I was once known as Ixis Mogul."

"This changes everything to me, children of Arachnis!"

"Destructix! Stand down and regroup!"

Y/N's eyes widen in surprise.

"Great! Now what are they up to?"

Sally helped Sonic up to his feet.

"You okay, Sonic?"

"Awesome as always. How about you, Sal?"

"I'm fine."

"Whatever they're doing, we'll stop them. Geoffrey St. John is rallying the Palace Guard." Elias said, rubbing his head.

"What's going on, Uncle Merlin?" Tails asked.

"The past has come back to haunt us, Tails. The ancient order of Ixis is returning after thousands of years."

"Fear not. They... they will be vanquished." Sir Connery assured.

Ixis kneel down and present the sword to Mogul.

"Ixis Mogul, master of the Dark Order. I submit myself to your wisdom, so that I may grow as powerful as you."

"A noble, if futile ambition, my new subordinate."

Mogul took the sword and held it up as it started glow bright yellow, blinding everyone.

"Elias, I hate to say this, man, but I think your stuff just got a lot harder to get back." Sonic said.

Mogul's eyes glow green as the Arachnis, Ixis, and Destructix stand by him. This fight is going to be much more harder.

"Now then, gentlemen... who's up for some revenge?"

Battle went on once again, but against a lot of enemies against the Freedom Fighters and the Chaotix. Y/N is right now dealing with Predator and Lightning that decided to gang up on her.

"You two are making a mistake on gaining up on me. Like I said, numbers mean nothing."

"Where's the fun in that, sweetheart?" Predator smirked.

"We just want to get to know you better." Lightning added.

"Oh? Then how about to get to know me through this!!"

Y/N charged Predator and kicked him to the side. She was suddenly kicked down by Lightning. She growled and got up and grabbed Lightning's wrist from behind and turned and hit him in the chin, then threw him over her shoulder. Before Lightning was send flying, he threw some ninja stars at her. Y/N dodged them and caught one of the stars and threw it towards Predator who quickly deflect it with his claws.

Lightning charged her and she rapidly punch him in the chest a couple of times and elbowed him, causing him to grunt. Then, she threw him over her shoulder again and made him crash into Predator. Y/N heard a loud stomp with a growl and turned to see Sergeant. He raised his fist when Y/N quickly skated over to him and kicked him in the stomach. She flipped over his head and grabbed his helmet head and flip him over with a loud thud.

"How... are you... so strong?" Sergeant grunted.

"I've been training my whole life for it."

Predator and Lightning look on as they thought the same thing with heart eyes.

"What a woman.."

Just then, she heard a yell and turned to see Sonic and Elias struck by the Chaos Energy from the crown that was placed on Elias' head. She ran over to them to check if they're okay. The crown floated back to Mogul.

"Had you been bound to them when they were created, you might have stood chance. Instead, the Source of All is permanently changed. It is mine."

"Varlet..."

They turned to see Sir Connery with a sword.

"...I say to thee— nay! The Ancient Walkers charged me to purge this world of dark magic. I thought I was finished when I has slain Domoleces the elder and so many before him. I see now that I have but one more task at hand."

"Alright, Sir Connery! Let's do it to it!" Sonic grinned.

"Stay out of this for once in your miserable life, you insufferable wretch."

Mogul trapped Sonic in a giant hand made of stone along with Y/N as he didn't forget her since she's also a threat.

"Hey! No fair!"

"Unhand us!!"

"Pooteetah!"

Kirby ran over to Y/N and tried to get her out of the hand stone. Mogul faced Sir Connery.

"Your patron spirits are no more, Connery. You are at my mercy."

"Nay, Mogul. They are with me now in my final act."

Mogul and Sir Connery clashed their swords against each other as the wave of Chaos energy was sent out from every clash.

"Urnf! They gave me this! The sword of light. Blessed with the power to destroy the darkness!"

Mogul tried to attack him when Sir Connery deflect every attack he sent as the stones rumbles beneath them from the big clash.

"I am sorry, my king. I must destroy the Source of All. I am Sir Connery! Paladin of the Ancient Walkers! Bringer of the Light and Enemy of Darkness!"

"And they chastise me for verbosity..." Mogul stated.

Sir Connery's sword glowed light blue.

"By the power invested in me by the highest of Powers..."

"No. No!" Mogul's eyes widen in fear.

Sonic managed to get from the stone hand by wiggling himself out while Y/N managed to take out her fan from the ruby and made it spin around for a sec before it flew to her towards the stone hand and broke it into pieces, freeing her. Y/N caught the fan and made it disappear back into the ruby.

"C'mon, Sir Connery! Show him how it's done old-school!" Sonic cheered for him.

"You can do it! We believe in you!" Y/N cheered along as Kirby climbed up to her shoulder once again as he cheer along.

"I smite thee!"

With one swing, he destroy the Sword of Acorn into pieces with the bright green light that blinded everyone for a sec.

"NO!"

Once the light died down, Mogul was unconscious and Sir Connery's clothes, piles of ashes, and Sword of Light.

"Sir Connery!" Sonic gasped.

"Oh no...!" Y/N gasped.

"No...!" Elias gasped.

They all gathered around the remains of Sir Connery as Tails held the sleeve of Sir Connery while Elias held the sword in grief and sadness.

"He used his very life to destroy the corrupted source. He gave everything." Merlin sadly said.

Groan was heard and they turned to see Mogul waking up with the help of Ixis.

"Master?"

"Rrgh! This means nothing... nothing!"

"Nothing?!" Sonic exclaimed in anger. "We lost a life to take away your toys! That's giving too much!"

"You have no soul!" Y/N growled in anger, bringing out her katana.

"This day may be weary with the toil of battle, but it is not over! I still command incredible power!"

"What a coincidence!"

That voice! They looked up to see Eggman and his planes.

"So do I fire at will!"

Then, millions of missiles are shooting down towards Mogul, Ixis, Arachnis, and Destructix, instead of the Freedom Fighters and Chaotix.

"Now that they're properly corralled, tag 'em!" Eggman ordered.

Then, yellow shards are thrown towards the villains as it tased them like an electric shock.

"I... won't... let... won't... no... NO!!!" Mogul shouted before he disappeared with the rest of the villains.

"HA!" Eggman grinned and flew down towards the Freedom Fighters and the Destructix.

"Wake up, folks! We're not finished!" Sonic warned.

"Don't let him fool you!" Y/N added.

Kirby growl at Eggman.

"Relax, hedgehogs. I'm not after you today."

"Likely story." she rolled her eyes.

"Right. Pull the other one, Doc."

"I'm being sincere, rodents. Mammoth Mogul and Ixis Naugus were far more of a threat to me than you two. I've lost a lot today because of them."

"So you just blasted them? You usually aren't that clean-cut..."

"On the contrary, Sonic and Y/N, they've been teleported away using the technology I wasted on Hunter. They are my captives now."

"What about us then?" Y/N asked, still glaring at him.

"What about you two? Look at my Egg Fleet! I could wipe you off the map! But not yet."

"No need to be shy. Let's go, Eggman!" Sonic declared.

"I will crush your pithy resistance when I want to, rodents! You will meet your end of my terms, and mine alone!"

Sonic goes to charge him.

"We'll see about— Hey!"

Eggman's plane flew away.

"Wah-hahahahaha! Too slow, Sonic! You're all too tired to be worth my effort. Until next time, Sonic and Y/N!"

Eggman and his Egg Fleet flew away.

"Whenever you're ready, Robotnik!"

"We'll take you down, down, down!!!"

Kirby stuck his tongue out with a raspberry sound.

Sonic, Y/N, Kirby, Tails, Merlin, Sally, Elias, and Knuckles are at the Knothole Graveyard, standing in front of Sir Connery's gravestone.

"I wanted to take back so much of the old kingdom... and so much was taken away in one day." Elias said.

"Oh, Elias..." Sally frowned.

"He gave his life defending his kingdom and his world. For a Paladin, he could receive no greater honor." Merlin said, placing a hand on Elias' shoulder in comfort.

"I owed you my life, Sir Connery. I promise to repay that debt by protecting the world as well." Knuckles said.

Kirby sniffed with tears rolling down from his three eyes. Y/N comforted him by hugging him close to her chest.

"How can I reform a court when one life is too much to ask for my kingdom?"

"You're kidding, right? Do you think we're just going to cut out the hero stuff just because we lost someone?" Sonic asked.

"He's right. Sir Connery wouldn't quit if I'd bit it. I won't dishonor his sacrifice by quitting. Are you going to quit the kingdom Sir Connery died to save?" Y/N said.

Elias leaned his head against the handle of Sir Connery's sword with tears rolling down his face and stood up with the sword in the air.

"No. His sacrifice will not be in vain. The Kingdom of Knothole will be as valiant as he was. I will try to be as brave, and his sword will be passed down the Acorn Line. A symbol of our commitment and testament to his bravery!"

"For someone who avoided the crown for so long, you sure got the speech-making down. Good one, you majesty."

"Heh. Thank you, Sonic and Y/N."

"Come on, brother. Let's get you some rest." Sally said.

"There's no rest for the king, Sally. I promise to sit down for a minute, though."

Before they left, Y/N placed a bundle of rose by Sir Connery's gravestone.

"May you rest in peace, Sir Connery."

"Okay, so we've lost the Ancient Walkers. Now who do we turn to for a deus ex machina?" Sonic asked.

"I should consult my mother about Aurora." Knuckles replied.

"And we know Athair's spirit is still strong, right?" Tails asked.

"We do, Tails." Merlin said. "And I have a few connections."

"Besides, we're the best of the best!" Y/N said with as smile.

"Pooteetah!" Kirby nodded.

"Yeah! We can make do as long as we can count on each other." Sonic said.

"We can do it together!" Tails added.

"Sure!" Knuckles smiled.

"Who's up for Chuck's?"
