The Sims is by far the most popular game in its entire category. And why wouldn't it be? Spanning over four different iterations, dozens of expansion packs, game packs and stuff packs; the series continues to add new content for players to enjoy.

What is it? You may ask. Great question! The Sims is a sandbox doll-house simulation. The player takes care of animated people, called Sims, that either they create, or are created by the game's producers, (Electronic Arts). Over time, they will fall in love, get married, and have kids. Be careful though, or they might just get a visit from the infamous Grim Reaper, and find themselves doomed to spend the rest of their days in the graveyard.

In addition to the main game, the other attractions and selling points are the DC (downloadable content), in which your Sims live; from college to the supernatural, from the weather to careers. There are minor stuff packs expansions, which give you more clothes and other objects.

Another major appeal is the game's lore, especially in the Sims 2. Players have speculated for ages on the hidden mysteries behind the premade characters. What happened to Bella Goth that infamous night? What happened to Skip Broke? And is Olive Scepter a serial killer in love with death? It's no wonder these questions and more have had Simmers debating for ages.
