Chapter 20

"Holy-"

"Pinkness!"

"Wow, this is awesome," Asher said with a chuckle, entering behind Pete and Nathan.

"You only say that because you're color blind," Nathan rallied.

"I did warn you not to leave the girls unsupervised..."

Wes and Matt weren't joining in with this conversation, because they were too preoccupied with a certain message taunting them from the wall.

The grass is green.

You can be mean.

But I ain't any better ;)

hehe

"You don't think it's true do you?" Wes asked Matt.

"Yeah, you are a little mean sometimes."

"Not that! The underwear," Wes said.

"How would I know?"

"Well you are her brother aren't you?"

"Not sure about that one anymore, she always insists we're not biologically related."

Wes just raised an eyebrow at this. "In any case, you have lived with her your whole life."

"Lived with her, maybe, but it's not like I sit and watch her getting dressed.  Jeez, she's my sister. That's just sick."

To you maybe. Wes thought with a smirk. "I could have sworn a moment ago you weren't so sure about the sibling's part."

"Hey guys?" Nathan interrupted "What are we going to do about this?"

"hum....Let's ignore it. Maybe it'll just go away on its own," Matt suggested as though it was a very plausible solution for the paper and paint.

"Okay." Nathan was quick to agree with the minimal effort idea. "But in the meantime where do we sleep?"

"Um, I don't see anything wrong with our beds," Asher said.

"I'm not sleeping in the same room as that message," Wes stated in a final tone. "Not to mention, how do you know they didn't put poison ivy, or I don't know...arsenic or something in our beds?"

"Good point," Asher said.

"Where would they even get arsenic, or poison ivy for that matter?" Matt asked. For once it seemed he was the voice of reason.

"Outside? I doubt they could get a hold of the arsenic though," Nathan answered.

"I call the Lazy Boy!" Pete shouted. He was unconvinced that his bed was arsenic-free.

"Whoa, hold your pigeons!" Wes said before the other living room sleeping surfaces could be called. Knowing his luck, or more accurately, lack thereof, he would probably end up with the dining room table. "There isn't enough room in the living room for five guys to be sleeping and living. Why don't we just set up a few of the tents or something?"

"Okay, you can sleep in the tent," Asher said while grabbing his pillow before heading to the living room. "I call the couch!"

And so it went until Wesley was predictably left with the dining room table, or as he preferred, the floor beneath said table. In all actuality, it wasn't half bad with the sufficient pillows and blankets he managed to collect while the other guys were arguing about the new territorial boundaries of the couch.

It was only when everyone began to settle down for the evening that their thoughts shifted from shelter and overall survival to that of retribution!
