9:Hi'gh Icy Cold Bliss

In life, there are moments when people get accused of something they never did and you, the guilty party actually takes the high road and confesses.

Well now, wasn't one of those times, I was the schemer but, Zach was currently facing the consequences.

"Jer, you're believing her over me. I CLEARLY DID NOT PUSH HER, she is an actress. She is manipulating you," Zach yelled, both of them had been on the argument for the pass twenty minutes.

"Em hello, am right here." They both stood a few meters away from me, my voice still hinting sadness. Damn, I was good!
Jersey looked at both of us before throwing her arms up in surrender, "that's it, am going home. There is sure to be peace and quiet there, and I thought Andrew was a spoiled brat but you two, are worse. Now if you two would.... excuse me," she said moving back to Drew's playroom, coming back out with sleeping Drew in her arms. She kinda ran to the living room with us tolling quickly behind her.

She picked her handbag from the sofa before heading towards the door and that's when Zach found his voice. "Jer, you said you were going to stay for dinner."

"Eat it yourself!" She shouted before slamming the door behind her.

A few minutes of silence passed. I could hear his hard breathing which told me. He was fuming and then, I decided to make a run for it. "I'll be in my room." Without waiting for his reply, I ran to the eastern wing. I have to admit staying with Zach for the past four days. Running as proven to be one of my frequent activity.

Although I sucked at sports.

I take a quick shower before heading to bed, I was damn exhausted.

Waking up after a few hours, I lie in bed, staring at the sky to meet the sun lowering into the horizon. It was twilight and the time read 7:30. Today was Friday and I wasn't happy because I had to film through tomorrow even on Sunday.

My thoughts wandered to my family, my dad especially. I sure did miss him, the camping, smores, storytelling and the other fun stuff he did during the weekends with Grant and I. The thought of going back to Green Bank to see him quickly comes to mind, but I push it away, I was so swamped to be free anytime soon.

I didn't even notice, tears had gathered at the corner of my eyes.

A knock pushes away all my thoughts and I quickly wiped my tears with my palm before saying a light-toned "come in."

Zach's face peered in, "Dinner will be ready in five." Managed a smile in his direction, "sure, I'll be out in a few," he gives me a skeptical look before nodding and closing the door, softly behind him.

I enter the bathroom, splashing my face with water before staring at my reflection in the mirror. No words, no comments. I just stared. Giving myself a quiet urge, I move to the living room.

Unlike last time, he was wearing a body-hugging t-shirt and an apron. He was behind the counter, cooking. Forgetting about my condition I was mourning over a few minutes ago, my mouth hung open, to be honest, I think I, drooled a little.

He went around the kitchen with ease, his body reflex with every movement. He sighted me a minute after I walked in, throwing me a real smile, "grab a seat." Eagerly, I moved closer and sat on one of the kitchen high chairs to watch him more closely.

He must have noticed but, choose not to say anything.

I took a quick shot of him while he was concentrated on the pot he was adding ingredients too. "Chicken Lasagna?" I asked as the smell hit my nose. He raised up his head to meet my face, his cheeks sorta pink due to the temperature of the kitchen. "Yeah, I started on it when Jersey arrived. It's her favorite, I hope you don't mind." "No, no, no, no I love Chicken Lasagna, it's one of my favorites," I said quickly, giving him a sincere smile and he smiled back.

Can't we just be like this for the rest of our stay together? Nope, cause we're both stubborn and also chase best friends towards the hills.

"Okay, do you want to eat right now? I have to go take a shower," he says as he removed the apron.
The word shower sends tiny shivers to my skin. I imagine scrubbing his hard muscles and his lean long legs and -' I then realized he was waiting for an answer and his expression turned smug.

"Oh, of course, I'll wait of course," I said awkwardly, way to go Ruby! Are you in high school now? A voice at the back of my head screamed at me.

"Get your mind out of the gutter Ruby," he said, grinning before walking away. I open my mouth to reply him but shut it. He was right for once, I needed my head out of the gutter.

I opened my Instagram and posted the picture with #Mr chef Reynolds #ideal husband #ladies. He is all mine. #Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds # I had no idea I posted the picture till I saw it on my wall. I didn't know why I declared as mine. I saw his account on my wall and clicked follow. It didn't work. A message flashed on the screen that the certain person had blocked me. I opened the account and it was private.

I hate this guy.

He came back in twenty minutes later, after dishing out my food he sat next to me, eating cereal. We both turned our chairs to the TV to watch the show. I had planned to give him a piece of my mind when he walked back into the kitchen but, those plans borrowed a few wings and flew away because:

One: He was shirtless, again. And
Two: I was stuffing my face with his great lasagna.

Of course, why couldn't I understand why I was blocked in the first place?

So he would be able to take embarrassing photos of me and I wouldn't find out!

Today, on the show. He posted a photo of me from earlier today. I was yelling about Jersey and I pulled off a hobo look, all in one picture! But this time I didn't do violence and Zach, was watchful every minute.

"Am not doing anything to you, I clearly don't want to be part of your babyish games anymore," I told him, sliding from my seat when the show came to a close. He raised an eyebrow at me, his expression turned rigid as he stared at my face in concentration, trying to crack my code.

I know the last I said that I was joking but this time, I was serious. I was tired of making running to my room my favorite sport.

I carried my plate to the sink before turning to him, stretching out my hand for him to give me his plate. Instead of doing just that, he turned around the counter, pulled me gently away from the sink. "Don't worry about it, I'll do it."

"No, you made dinner this is my compensation. So, I'll do it," I said, pulling him back with all my strength and he ended up hitting his back on the counter. But that didn't stop him.

I really wanted to help, his face actually seemed exhausted and stressed but he wasn't budging, he was refusing my precious help. Anyways, I was still going to do it and he wasn't going to stop me.

As he moved toward me again, I scooped up water in a small pail and turned to face him. "One more step and 'this' goes on your pretty face. Why won't you let someone help you," I pointed the pail to him as I shrugged. His tired face morphed into a mocking smile, "Aww, you think am pretty." He said in a baby cooing voice.

I roll my eyes at his comment, I sight him almost immediately from the corner of my eye when he moved towards me and in a flash, I pour the pail of water over his head. The kitchen marble tiles got wet but, who cares!

He came close with a step and I poured another, and another. I was laughing, enjoying my torment. When out of the blue he grabbed me by the shoulders, "you're so dead, Daniels." I forcefully wiggled out of his hold before running into the living room, laughing.

He was right on my heels and I lost him when I sprinted down to the west wing. I try to open Drew's playroom but, it was locked along with the library and the other rooms.

Suddenly, am lifted unto his shoulders, giving me a clear view of God help me. His butt. I stopped laughing and started hitting his back, but he didn't budge.

It was an excuse to feel his muscles though but this time, Zach was going to kill me. I was going to die.

He opened his bedroom door, carried me to his bathroom, before dropping me in the shower. I was immediately attacked by his lemon scented soap. I was drowning so bad that I had no idea, he had entered the shower. I was brought back by the violent splashing of cold water from all sides of the shower and Zach standing in front of me.

He held my arms up with one arm and the other, he used a faucet to splash water on my face. I tried wiggling out of his grip like the first time but he didn't budge. After long minutes, he stopped, dropping the faucet before putting both his arms on the wall next to my head.

I looked up at him, he was breathing heavily and the water splashing at us from different directions continued.

"This was in your imagination, am I correct, Ruby Daniels?"
