7:Hi'gh Jersey

I was on top of Zach, punching him as hard as I could, while he, on the other hand, laughed at my feeble attempts to punch him.

I stop when I realized our position.
I was seated on his abdomen, more like I was straddling him. "You know, I kinda like this position," he said, his smirk taking it's place back on his face.

I stand as fast as I could, leaving him on the floor.

"I hate you. You know, but am not going to stoop to your babyish leveled games."

I said walking back to the loveseat to finish my dinner. Of course, I told a sweet, crafted lie. I was definitely going to stoop to his babyish level.

In fact, he was going to regret pushing the buttons first.

With ease, he pushes himself from the floor. He throws the rest of his food in the garbage.

"You punch like a baby."

I raise my right middle finger to him. Fuck him, seriously he should get fucked up.

Around 9:30, the show comes to a close, not bothering to tell him good night, I escape to my room.

I was afraid of things that could transpire if I did just that while he was strutting around with his all-male glory:
One: I might forget about my boyfriend and strip naked in front of him. Always wanted to do a lap dance anyways.
Or two: I kiss him or make up a stupid excuse to touch his arms.

I know! Am a psycho.

So far, so good I stood on Johnny's doorstep five the next afternoon, 'he was bound to be home at this hour' i thought to myself. I had rung the doorbell a little few more times than I could count. Giving up, I gave him a call.

A few rings later, he picks up, "hello," he answers with confusion clouding his voice.
"Hi Johnny, I am standing right in front of your apartment and the door is shut."

A few muffled voices are heard from the other side of the line before he answered, "am sorry Ruby, I had to fly to Mexico for a music video. I hadn't put you on my contact list before."

"Oh, okay, sure."

"Thanks, I'll be back in a few days," he said before abruptly hanging up.

I stare at my phone screen blankly, I was hurt. Not because he totally blew me off but because he had promised to save my digits nine hours ago.

"Drive Dennis," I say, entering the car Penny had pulled a few stops for me to get. Speaking of her, she was nowhere insight through the day, making me miss my filming shoot which was supposed to start today. She had left no phone call, no text, nothing at all.

"Do you believe in true love Dennis?" I asked with the thought of Johnny still fresh on my mind.

I flashed back to the few weeks I arrived in Hollywood; his weird attitude and behavior towards me. It's was an abstract, trying to paint a picture right in front of my eyes and I clearly wasn't seeing it.

"Well true love, I believe happens when it happens. For example in two weeks."

I scoff before launching into a demonstration with my fingers. One finger for Zach and two fingers for me, because hello! Am awesome, "Dennis there is no way Zach and I-," I was saying when he cut me off "but I wasn't talking about you, Miss Daniels...

The feeling of humiliation, embarrassment soared to my skin. I was beyond stupid.

....I was talking about -"

"I get it, Dennis."

"But if you want that I have no objections," he replied and I send a scowl his way.

Remembering Zach, I clicked on the picture I took of him in the morning, he was trying to get out of the house early and, Arthur, on the other hand, made sure he stayed late by ripping apart some documents in his briefcase. The look on his face was priceless and I, sat on one of the high chairs in the terrace, watching the drama.

Did I mention I opened the briefcase? Yeah I know, sucks to be him.

I couldn't help but smile at the memory of the picture on my screen. Know I just need to learn how to upload it.

I throw in a evil laughter under my breath, my day just got better and brighter.
"We're here Miss Daniels."

That's when I noticed he had parked the car in the studio's parking lot. Once I stepped out of the car, through the corner of my eye I see Desire and Nathan(he was one of the set hands) walking towards me.

"Why are you in late?"

"You're in for all-nighter -

"Melissa is pissed -

They both chorused into my ears as they got next to me, their voices laced with concern and confusion. Hearing their comments I tap on Dennis's window, he puts it down almost too quickly.

"Am going to be stuck here for the rest of the night, thanks to Penelope. Could you come by to pick me up four in the afternoon, I need to catch some beauty sleep first before moving ...
I instruct while he nods to my every sentence.

... And my name is Ruby, not Miss Daniels, God! Am not my mother."

"Sure Miss Ruby," he nods with finality before speeding off, the temptation to call him to come back and say goodbye to the two angry birds standing before me is tempting.

Quickly saying a prayer, I turn to the angry birds. It's now or never, I guess. "What's up, guys?" I throw a fake smile and drawl at them before walking to my trailer, with them trailing behind me.

The next day at 4:30, I was exhausted. I know I said beauty sleep and all but, because of Penny's slip up, I had to shoot till two in the afternoon.

ANIMALS!!

Lucky was I that the elevator up to Zach's room was private, because I spent an hour in there, sleeping on the soft and cozy carpet. The elevator sound modified into a lullaby in my brain.

I was feeling quite achieved though, I was currently on Facebook, What's app and Instagram which 'Penelope' was supposed to help me through. But, Desire helped instead, posting a picture I took on set. I looked like a hobo but, ooh well!

The thought jolting me from my sleep in the elevator was, the sarcastic great news I got yesterday! Denise was trying her hand in acting and she got a role to play a minor character on Swapped up, my younger sister. Score one for Ruby and zero for Denise.

But that didn't stop the death glares she was throwing in my direction before strutting away from the set.

Opening the penthouse with the keycard Sandra grumpily offered me yesterday. I walk into the sound of female giggling and a male(obviously Zach) husky, deep laugh from the living room.

I strolled into the living room, bright and sheepishly and they turned their head to look at me.
I threw on a forced smile at the lady's direction before turning to Zach. I was feeling bitter and damn! I didn't like the feeling. The lady was beautiful and beside her was a cute little boy, probably four to five year old.

Wait what a child! Oh my God! What kinda idiot was he, to get a lady pregnant? I felt the need to collapse to the floor and blame myself for getting attracted to my hot fake husband. I wanted to cry and cuddle in a dark corner.

Screw you, Reynolds.

"You clearly couldn't wait for me for a night honey, and you got back together with your old ex," my strained voice said. I honestly hoped it would come out way better than how it sounded in my head.

Zach looked lost at my reprimand, he opened his mouth to say something but, the black haired lady beat him to it.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa there is some kind of confusion in here, Ruby."
I spun my head towards her, her almost dark eyes held laughter in them.

How the hell did she know my name? Oh, right am famous.

"Mommy, why is the strange lady looking at you like that?" The boy said taking cover behind his mum's leg.

The look on my face definitely scared him, ha! take that cutie.

"Am Jersey, Zachary's best friend," she said, waving at me. Stupidity probably took a permanent plaster on my forehead as I start laughing, hard.

A few minutes later, I compose myself because of the weird look Zach throws in my direction "so Jersey huh!" Even her name sounded funny, it was like

"New Jersey. My parents named me after the city cause I was born on the train there."

"Ooh! Am sorry for coming at you like that," I say clearly apologetic. "No worries, I get much worse at times from what this dufus does."

I chuckle at her comment when Zach throws in a "hey!" as a protest.

I feel a slight tug on my stone washed jean trousers, I remembered the dog incident but this time, I look down happily to see the little cute boy, smiling at me.

I crouch down to my knees, meeting his height, he was holding a wonder woman action figure. I stare at it confusingly, why was a little boy holding a wonder woman action figure?

As if he caught me staring, he answered my question "wonder woman is my mummy and Batman, is my daddy," I couldn't help but smile at his words. He was so cute.

"Am Ruby what's your name?" I said softly as I could not wanting to frighten the little guy.

Grant and I was a different tie tossing! When he was a baby, at first he came out cute and happy but a few months later, it was torture. I had to speculate shouting at him from when he was a baby to this current time, a teenager.

"Ruby, you're pretty."

God help me, I was blushing at a four or five-year-old comment.

"Am Drew."
