No. 4 On The To Do List

LilyBlizz ended up sleeping in even later than the day before. It really wasn't her fault that she was so tired to the point where she would hibernate like a bear. Okay, maybe it was her fault, but it wasn't hers entirely. UnlikelyKing woke up just fine. Well lucky her.

The girl with ombre colored hair finished her training that very morning and decided it was time to check on her friend, the ridiculously troubling archer.

"Lily......?" UnlikelyKing called softly.

The dark mage poked her head into LilyBlizz's room only to see her laying on her futon sound asleep. It was possible that one little commotion won't even be enough to get her up at this point-- she was just too tired to open her eyes.

"Oh dear.. You're going to oversleep furthermore at this rate.." the dark mage told her unconcious body.

UnlikelyKing walked over to help her get into a seated position before she pat her awake as best as she could. In response within a few minutes later, LilyBlizz groaned and cracked an eye open just a centimeter wide. The sliver of light took advantage to blind her at this point.

"Ughh... What time is it....?" she asked groggily.

"Well, it's already almost the afternoon..." she replied. "You should go eat.. And make sure to make up for the breakfast you missed."

LilyBlizz moaned disappointingly as she tried to stand up. She was completely stiff and sore from running around for two days straight. This was probably worse than training. It was not a pleasant feeling at all.

"Maaaaaaaaaaaa, help meeeeeeee...." she whined.

UnlikelyKing snickered a little and sighed as she got up to her feet to pull LilyBlizz up. It wasn't that easy since she made no effort to stand.

"I'm.. not.. your mother.." she grunted, holding onto her smirk.

"Ow, ow, ow, ow, ow, ow.....! Lactic acid in my system!!" the short haired girl screamed in pain. "It burns!!!"

"I can't help you with that. Well that's if you don't mind being cursed-"

"NOOOOOO! DON'T YOU DAREEE!" LilyBlizz exclaimed. "The last time you casted a hex on me, you made me dance in front of crowds of random people we didn't know existed until the end of the day! You could be tricking me into it again..."

The dark mage snickered and gave a quick shrug before riling up her hair further.

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. Suit yourself, really. I mean I can make you dance around during a fight if I wanted to, but that's too dangerous."

The archer sighed as she shot a soft frown at her friend once she got up from her back and to her feet.

"Let's take a break so you don't kill yourself from exhaustion."

"Ah, ah, ah! Who said WE'RE taking a break-- specifically you?" LilyBlizz replied with a smirk.

UnlikelyKing blinked and then mumbled under her breath when she remembered it was her turn to do a task worthy of being inputted to their list.

"Gods... But you need the break," she excused. "It'll be a much wiser decision than to continue it today. We end up following each other during our 'jobs.'"

LilyBlizz giggled and shook her head at the mage, holding her hand out for the list silently. Giving her the blank look, UnlikelyKing gave the archer their list of activities they wanted to do on their break times and sighed to herself.

"If I remember correctly, this task doesn't require me to be around you at all. I'll only be third wheeling you," responded LilyBlizz.

"Lily.. What are you talking about....?" questioned UnlikelyKing.

She giggled as she flicked the long list open with her wrist as if she was opening a fan for one of her little fan dances.

"A fake date with Lord Leo, wasn't it?"

UnlikelyKing's dark eyes widened as she read the fourth item on their used-to-be scrolled up list, her cheeks slowly tinting a rosy red color.

"Ohhhhh boy...." she told herself.

LilyBlizz giggled as she rolled up the list and tied it with a thin white ribbon to prevent it from unrolling itself loose before setting it back down.

"Make sure you ask him to buy you something significant for you!~" the archer sang. "Leave a crystal ball here or something for me to watch through."

"No...!"

The archer rose a brow as she reached for the scroll again.

"Okay.. Okay..! I'm not losing that soon so I'll do it!"

LilyBlizz giggled, completely forgetting about her muscle sores after standing around for a bit, and attempted to skip off for the washroom. It failed terribly once it hit her, causing her to trip and fall over.

"O-ow, ow, ow!! ACK!!"

A loud thud filled the room when her body contacted the floor pretty hard.

"Are you okay? That's what you get for teasing me... Karma bit you.." the dark mage said as she helped her back up. "I'm casting a curse whether you like it or not."

"Gods, no......" groaned LilyBlizz.

The hex worked out a lot better than the two had expected, but the lingering feeling of it kind of.... leaked off LilyBlizz's body, unfortunately enough. As long as it worked though, they supposed.

"Now where is Leo....." said the archer, taking a spoonful of her food into her mouth.

The girl was busy eating and making up for her lost breakfast while she scanned the mess hall for the Second Nohrian Prince. So far, he was nowhere to be found.

"Maybe he already left," UnlikelyKing said a little hopefully.

But at the same time, the dark mage actually wanted to see Leo as well-- she masked her excitement a little poorly for her friend to take it.

"King... It's just a mimic date... One, you're not backing out of it for sure; two, you aren't actually dating-- I can see you sweat from here; three, I know you're looking forward to it secretly.....~" giggled the archer.

"Please. I need my moment too, Lily.." she said, smiling sheepishly.

It was until then the prince suddenly appeared, entering the mess hall not much with poise, but more like his nose buried into another book. He nearly crashed into the tables out in front of him as he walked, often tripping on the foot of the furniture as he passed on through.

"... What a scatter brain he can be sometimes..." commented LilyBlizz.

"But... But.... But.. That's not a bad thing... Right...?" UnlikelyKing asked in response.

Her friend rolled her eyes as her giggle grew low and dark as if she was mimicking one of her characters she always drew on her scrolls for fun.

"Of course not.... Now go get 'em!~" chimed the girl.

LilyBlizz gently nudged her friend forward and smiled innocently as UnlikelyKing was forced to go on and talk to the blond tomato-loving prince. It was a little awkward since he was now looking on over at them.

"Gods, I'll buy myself the souvenir..." mumbled UnlikelyKing.

She felt around herself to make sure she still had her currency on her, but unfortunately enough, it was no longer there. She did secure it onto her person fairly well, so she now wondered how she los-- Oh. The dark mage turned around slowly as she looked at her friend who now held her pink mini wallet in her own hands, a wide grin growing on her face.

'I'll get you for this, Lily...' she murmured quietly, undoing her curse.

Pain suddenly coursed through her body again, her grin slightly furrowing into a frown. It was hard to hide the pain, but she continued to, only to save the pity from everyone in the room for later. Later as in war.

'Sorry,' LilyBlizz mouthed.

"Leo... I have a request," UnlikelyKing told him as boldly as she could.

She didn't want her voice to waver as she spoke with the prince, but it was hard to keep it up.

"And what could this possibly be...?" he replied calmly.

The female dark mage gulped as her eyes darted around franctically for an answer and her fingers played with her kimono's giant sleeve.

"A d-d-da-- Walk! Yes, a walk...! Out in the towns! May we?"

The dark knight blinked at her as his brow gently rose in comfusion.

"Okay... I'm not busy until later today anyways..."

The archer was now mentally laughing as she limped away back to her room.

'I wish we never added such a thing on the list... What was I thinking...??' UnlikelyKing groaned mentally.

"Shall we go now? I was only headed back here for a tomato.." Leo told her as he grabbed one.

The archer sat in her room quietly as she watched her dark mage friend walk around stiffly with the prince who now held his book in his hand instead of reading it. It was a bit funny, but that only made her feel guilty.

"At least you weren't chased by multiple people straight in a row.." she giggled. "Enjoy...~"

Meanwhile, UnlikelyKing was busy looking around for an item she could have the prince get for her. It was a little bit of a hassle since nothing interested her, it would be a waste, and or it was just pricey. Eventually, her interest fell onto a simple looking journal book with little intriguing designs on the hard cover. Her eyes gleamed.

"Did you see something you like?" the prince asked, noticing the spark of interest lingering in her eyes.

In fact, he already knew due to her looking around so every often.

"Uh-- No! I mean, yes? Err... Maybe...?" she squeaked.

The prince chuckled a bit as he passed his book over to his other hand for a change.

"What is it then?" he asked, looking through the items.

Sighing in defeat, the mage quietly pointed at the maroon journal book, looking away embarrassingly. Either way, she was going to have to find something sooner or later. Nodding a little, the prince went over to pick up the item for her and paid the amount of twenty gold. Not bad.. Not bad at all...

"Thank you..." she mumbled awkwardly.

Smiling, Leo nodded again and continued to walk around, eventually heading back.

"A win for us both," LilyBlizz said as she pulled the list out. "At least King enjoyed her walk."

The archer smiled softly as she wrote down UnlikelyKing's name next to the fourth item of the list and a pass. Her eyes went back to the crystal ball as she pushed up her glasses.

Extra:

"Lily... I got a journal from him..."

The archer giggled and nodded as she looked up at UnlikelyKing, her view upside down.

"Yes, you did," she replied.

"I got a journal from Leo..."

She was still broken after the short walk. UnlikelyKing most certainly did make her time with the prince worthwhile.

"I'll be sure to not use this book ever."

"Wait-- huh."

The archer blinked as she carefully sat up to face UnlikelyKing.

"But that's a journal... Wouldn't it go to waste untouched..?"

"Gods... You have a point. But I don't want to ruin it either...!" she groaned. "What do I do now.....?"

A knock came from outside the room before LilyBlizz could say anything to her friend.

"Come in," she replied.

The sliding panel softly slid open a bit, enough to reveal Takumi's head as he peered into the girl's room.

"You skipped practice this morning, Lily.. You should go make it up before Yukimura finds out and scolds you," the prince told her.

The girl's face dropped into disappointment, knowing that she was still sore. She was hoping for breaks to recover, but that's obviously not going to happen. Sighing, she slowly stood up and went to go grab her Raider Yumi and the quivers of her bow before heading out.

"King, don't think about it too much and just use it, alright? He'll be happy to hear that you indeed put it to use."

The archer flashed a quick smile before she waddled away in pain with her weapons, Takumi closing the door and helping her out.

"..... Gods, okay...." UnlikelyKing replied in more of a lovestruck tone. "My voice doesn't sound right..."
