Littlefoot winced as another wave of pain washed over him. "Stupid sharptooth!" He said with angary under his breath once the pain left. It's bean three weeks sense the sharptooth attack but his neck steal heart ever five minutes in waves of pain. Bron looked at his son as he heard his angry remark, he felt bad for his son, that wound on his neck steal troubled him even thou it had long sense already healed and now was just a scar. "It's all right if you don't want to go you know." Bron said caringly. "No. I have to do this it's my job." Littlefoot said plainly. Bron side knowing that to pros pone littlefoot's scouting missions would only bring down his moral, he simple nodded. "Thanks dad." Littlefoot said wile bowing his head as he left. "Be safe my son." Bron said softly as littlefoot slowly disappeared from sight. Littlefoot smiled as he heard the silence, He loved the peace and quite that came from scouting. He loved his herd but at times it dose get pretty loud, the quite helps him think. It blocks out all the bad memories he has seen in his life. Littlefoot side "I wonder what the gang is doing right know?" he said to him self as he spotted an oasis in the distance. "It would be good to know how there doing." he continued to think as he got closer to the oasis, but his thoughts where quickly smacked away when he heard a scream in the direction of the oasis, it sounded like a child's scream! Littlefoot quickoning he's pace headed strait to the scream. At the oasis the scream did belong to a chilled her name was Jenna, She was being attacked by a very big sharptooth with red eyes and black skin making him seam like a shadow. Jenna's father jumped in front of his mate and daughter and yield "Run!" But Jenna and her mother couldn't for another, smaller, Sharptooth with green eyes and green skin jumped in front of there path. Jenna screamed again when the sharptooth appeared in front of her. "No!" She heard her father scream before she heard his scream and than the crunching sound of bones, "Jacob!" Her mother screamed as she heard he mate's scream. But It was to late he was dead. The Blake sharptooth roared with victory and turned toward the female long neck hungrily. Jenna closed her eyes as she saw the sharptooth jump to words her mother, she expected to hear her mothers scream but instead she heard the sharptooth roar, but it wasn't a roar of victory like it did with her father but more like a roar of pain. She opened her eyes to see a brown longneck standing in-between her mother and the sharptooth. The sharptooth roared with anger at the new arrival for striking him and charged forward. The longneck simply moved to the side and used his tail to trip the sharptooth sending it to the groaned with a loud Smack! The longneck than reared up on his hind legs to send the final blow, but he was nocked away, the green sharptooth had head butted him in the side. The longneck grimaced in pain, but he continued to stand. The black sharptooth got back up and charged forward with the green sharptooth, The lone longneck waited patently as the sharpteeth got closer. when they were barley ten feet away the longneck jumped into action nocking the black sharptooth to the ground again with his head, and than using his tail to trip the green sharptooth on top of the black one. The sharpteeth struggled to get up but before they could get up the longneck again went up on his hind legs and than brought all his wait on the green sharptooth crushing it's spine killing it instantly. The black sharptooth roared in pain as the weight came down on it breaking several ribs. The longneck how ever was not down he went back up and than down again on the green sharptooth which caused the black sharptooth to roar one last time before it was abruptly cut off by one of it's ribs piercing it's heart. Jenna and her mother were stunned, never had they seen a lone longneck take down two sharpteeth without dying in the process. "Are you all right?" The mail long neck asked Jenna's mother. "oh..Um yes we are." Her mother said quickly. "Thank you for saving my family." She said happily but than she remembered Jacob! her happiness quickly turned into sadness. "I'm sorry I couldn't save him." The long neck said sadly. "You did what you could." Jenna's mother said sadly, "We must leave more sharpteeth will come with the scent of death." The longneck said quickly. "yes your right we must leave." Jenna's mother said understandingly, "But where?" She asked. "To my herd. You will be safe there and we will help you with what we can." The long neck said answering her question. "Lets get going." He said as he started off in the direction of his herd. with Jenna and her mother following closely behind. "Names Jones by the way." The long neck said as they continued walking. "Oh. Nice to meat you Jones." Jenna's mother said with a slight hesitation. "This is my daughter Jenna." She said nodding toward Jenna. "Hi." Jenna said shyly, "Nice to meat you Jenna." Jones replied, "I always....." gasped in pain as a wave of pain struck him, "Are you all right?" Jenna's mother asked concerned. "Yes I'm fine it happens all the time. this stupid scar always causes me pain, he said nodding at the scar on his neck. "Where did you get that?" "Jenna!" her mother yield at hear, "He doesn't have to tell us if he doesn't want to." "it's all right ma'am" "I was attacked by a sharptooth and it got lucky. well at first." "What do you mean." Jenna asked coarsely. "well for starters my brother Literally swished it's guts out." Jenna stared at him in horror. "Gross!" She said. Jones chuckled "Yes It was gross." "Know if we head back to names what's your name little lady." He said to Jenna's mother, " Ali." She said with a chuckle, but when she looked back up at Jones she saw him stop dead in his tracks, "Are you all right." She asked confused, "Ali! is it really you." "Yes." She said concerned, "Ali it's me Littlefoot!" He said with excitement "No. You can't be." Ali said in disbelief, "Ali it's really me." Littlefoot persisted. "But littlefoot lives in the great valley with.." "His grandparents." Littlefoot Answered for her, "Yes. But he.." "Also has four friends of different species named Cara a Threehorn, Ducky a swimmer, Petrie a flyer, and spike the spike tail." He said naming all his friends. Ali was stunned he answered it all correctly like he always knew. "Than why did you say your name was Jones?" She asked accusingly. "Well you see did you relay think I was going to keep littlefoot as my name forever." Littlefoot said sarcastically "Well no in fact know that I remember I think you always Sayed you where going to change your name to Heavyfoot or something like that." "Well I find that those names where a bit to childish as I grew up." he said honestly. "Yes yo have grown up. So what have you bean up to lastly?" She asked him, "What have I bean doing, Ta.moor like what have you bean doing Miss. Longneck." He said jokingly as he nodded toward Jenna." I Started a family of course." She said matter of fact Ely "I meat Jacob a wile back and well my mother's last wish was for me to merry him so I did." she said sadly. "Wait you married some one you didn't love?" he asked "well yes I really didn't love him in fact I kind found him stuck up a little." "but when it came down to his daughter he came throe." she said sadly "Yes he was a defiantly a brave longneck." He said sadly. "So know that I said it how about you who have you met." She asked quickly changing the subject. "Well no one really I just really haven't found any one I love yet." Ali silently exhaled in relive, "Well I hop you do." she responded quickly. "So you have a herd know." Yes I do, well my dads any way." "what! you have a father." she said surprised, "Know that's a long story." "well we have time." she said as she started walking in the direction they where heeding in before they stopped. "yes, Yes we do." he said with a smile as he fallowed her. Jenna looked at hear mother and than at the longneck who said his name was Jones and than Littlefoot, and than him and her mother start talking like old friends, it all confused her so she just sighed and followed her mother.

"There he is!" Called a longneck near the front of the herd, Shorty jerked his head towards the direction the long neck indicated. "Jones!" he yield his brothers adopted name. "Shorty! how's it going." Littlefoot yield back happy to see his brother again. "Oh. well considering you've bean gone for a Three days!" He yield angrily. "I kind of got side tracked." Littlefoot said nodding towards Ali and Jenna. "Oh. what! you've bean gone three days and you two already have a kid?!" Shorty asked shocked. "What!? No she's not my mate you moreon." Littlefoot said to his brother anger high in his voice. "She and her mate where attacked by sharpteeth, sadly her mate did not make it." He said sadly. Shorty ashamed Tried to apologies, "Ma'am I'm sorry I.." "It's all right Shorty." Ali said forgivingly. "So. where's dad?" Littlefoot asked shorty looking into the rest of the herd. Shorty looked down in sorrow. "Littlefoot dad went looking for you two day's ago." "what! and he's not back yet!" Littlefoot said angrily, "Have you sent any one to see if he's okay." "Weal no. but that was dads orders he said to give him a week and if he didn't return than it meant he was dead." Shorty answered quickly. "He said to meat him at stone pass." Littlefoot sighed, "than we beater be there." "Alright lets move out!" Shorty yield to the rest of the herd. Littlefoot looked at shorty puzzled, "Uh..Shorty." "Yes" "What are you doing?" "Leading." "Don't you think the leader should lead?"Littlefoot asked his brother. "Well ya. but dad's gone so that makes.." Shorty looked at littlefoot apologetically. "You leader. right. sorry." "Haha. it's okay shorty." Littlefoot chuckled at his brother, "Lets move out!" He confirmed to the rest of the herd who where waiting patiently. "So from leader of a small herd to a big herd of longnecks. Hu." Ali whispered into littlefoot's ear. Littlefoot chuckled,"Yes. yes in deed."

Three days later at stone pass, "He's steal not back yet?" Shorty Asked littlefoot, "Ya, I'm getting worried." "Mabey we should go looking for him?" Shorty suggested. Littlefoot thought about this for a seconded but than shook his head and answered. "No he steal has two days left we wait tell than thane I will go look go him." "What! you can't go alone." Shorty said unbelieving at his brother. "What about Ali?" Shorty asked "What will she think." Littlefoot winced at that. even thou they just meat again he and her had started to get closer. in fact they where so close that some travelers thought they where mates. "Don't you plan on asking her." Shorty asked seeing littlefoot wince. "Yes but I hope to wait until dad comes back." littlefoot answered. "I don't want to leave her as soon as I asked her to be with me." "Well maybe you should reconsider. I mean dad was going to die any ways it was just a mater.." Shorty stopped him self as he realized what he had just said. "What are you talking about." Littlefoot asked shorty shocked, "Well.... you see... dad's kind of dying." Shorty said honestly. "What! how? And cense When." Littlefoot asked concerned. "Cense two months ago." "He didn't want you to worry." Shorty replied. "How is he?" Littlefoot asked. "There's something wrong with his heart." "It's just not working so weal." Shorty answered. "He didn't have long a month at most." "Than why did he go?" Littlefoot asked. "He thought that if he found you than he would be forgiven for never being there for you." Shorty sighed, "He loved you so much." Littlefoot nodded "He loved us both." Bothe brothers sat in silence for several minutes before littlefoot said. "I'm going to askew her." And with that he left.

Ali was eating some tree sweets when she saw littlefoot coming towards her. "Good evening Littlefoot." She called out to him, "Good evening." Littlefoot said. he long before stopped trying to get Ali to call him by his adopted name, she just loved his old one to much to call him his new one. "Ali there's something I would like to askew you." Littlefoot said nervously. Ali's heart ponding hard in her chest, answered back as calmly as she culled, "yes?" "Would you....uh....will you be my mate?" Littlefoot asked with care and love. Ali filled with so much joy quickly let it out, she leaned forward and kissed him."Dose that answer your question?" She asked jokingly. Littlefoot hesitated only for a second before he kissed her back and answered "Yes it dose."

That morning at stone pass was deferent. There was something in the air that morning, The herd felt it as they wok up that morning. That's when they noticed Littlefoot and Ali walking side by side towards them with smiles on there faces. "Good morning every one there's some good news that I would like to tell every one." Littlefoot called to the herd. "I think we all know what that is Jones!" Shorty called out to his brother smiling wickedly. "We yes. anyways. I am proud to announce that... well me and Ali are oafishly mates." He said with joy. There was a moment of silence before every single herd member cheered with joy and encouragement to the new couple. "Congrats Jon." Shorty said to his brother. "You know I hate that neck name right?" Littlefoot said jokingly to his brother. "Ya, ya so what's new." he answered mockingly. "So where's Jenna?" Ali asked Shorty. "She was with some of her friends down by the watering hole." "Well should we go tell her dear." Ali asked littlefoot, "Of course. lets go."

"Hay! no fair!" Champ yield as Jenna splashed water in his eyes casing him to stop his chase. "What are you talking about there's no rule saying I can't splash water." Jenna said innocently. "Ya well now there is!" Champ said angrily at her. "Fine than I wont do it again." She said. "Jenna are you playing nice?" Jenna froze, "Yes mother." She answered innocently, "Are you Shure?" Ali said staring her daughter down. "Oh, leave her alone Ali you used to do the same thing when you where a kid to me." littlefoot said teasingly, "Well ya. but you disserved it." Ali said teasingly, "Hay!" Littlefoot said pushing her playfully. "I wasn't that bad." "Mm hum. You where talking to me." Jenna said anoid at her mother for interrupting her play. "Oh, yes Jenna dear I have great news." Ali said excitedly, Jenna know interested, looked at her mother coarsely, "Littlefoot and I are together." "What!" Jenna yield in surprise. "You replaced dad. for him!" Jenna yield at her mother. "Jenna! I would never replace your father." Ali replied shocked at her daughter's outburst. "Jenna I know that this is hard for you but I will try to be a good father like yours was." Littlefoot said comfortingly, "You will never be like my father!" Jenna screamed at him. "Jenna!" Ali scolded, "I don't like your tone." "So what! you never Liston to me anyways!" Jenna yield at her mother angrily. "Ok I think we need to calm down know." Littlefoot tried to say, but Ali didn't hear him. "You listen to me young lady I am your mother and you will do what I tell you to do and I don't want to hear you raise your voice at me again!" Ali scolded, "You are grounded to the nest for two! weeks!" Jenna's jaw dropped, "What! you...you can't do that." "Oh. yes I can!" Ali retorted. "Know march!" Jenna looked at her mother to Champ "But.." She started but Ali wouldn't take it "No! buts, march!" Jenna slowly started walking toward her nest away from Champ. "Don't you think you where a bit hard on her." Littlefoot said as they followed Jenna toward the nest. "I..." Ali started but than stopped to think "Maybe your right I shouldn't have bean that hard on her she was just chocked at me for moving on so quickly." Ali said to him sadly, Littlefoot looked at her and than at Jenna, "Mabey I should sleep away again to night." littlefoot said sadly, "Maybe your right. that might give her some comfort, she might feel more open if your not there." Ali agreed sadly. "Mabey tomorrow night?" She asked with curiosity. "Mabey." He gently kissed her on the chick and than headed off towards his original sleeping area.
