It was Friday morning and izuku awoke to the pounding on his dorm room door,
Sighing he covers his head with his pillow

'I'm not in the mood for this shit'

The pounding got louder and more persistent making the greenette fume with anger.

"I HEARD YOU OKAY?! WHAT THE HELL DO YOU WANT!"

The person on the other side of the door was obviously surprised at his sudden outburst and hesitated in answering

"I-uh c-could you let me in?"

It was ochako?
'What did she want this early? we don't have classes today so it must be important'
Izuku got out of bed and dragged himself over to the door

With a yawn he answered
"Urachan? What are you doing here?"
"Uhm.. d-deku I think.. we have a problem"

Izuku opens the door wider so she can step in, she gave him a thankful and relieved smile when she realized he was inviting her inside

He watched as the girl shakily walked over and sat on his bed

"So what's up urachan?"

"W-well.. I found my soulmates.."

"REALLY? That's awesome-.. wait.. soulmates, as in more than one?"

"Yeah.. I-I have two.."

"Well you don't seem really happy.. do you not like them? I'd give anything to know if my soulmate was okay or not.." he mumbled the last bit to himself and looked at his hands that rested in his lap

'I'm sorry ma'am it's not gonna happen he's quirkless'

'W-what?!'
'There has to be a mistake!'

'I'm afraid not..'

Hesitant, Inko swallowed her worries and asked 'Does he at least have a soulmate?!'

'We won't know until he meets them,
Unlike most children his soulmate mark is faded and has no colour which probably means his soulmate is deeply hurting or doesn't know they have one.. after all not having a soulmate is pretty rare but so is not having a quirk.. only time will tell..'

"Oh dekukun I'm sorry I didn't mean to make you sad!"

"O-oh it's fine uraraka"

You see, soulmates are connected through three ways

The soul: making them a perfect match for each other, balancing out the other and strengthening each other as a whole

Pain: they can feel a tingling sensation when ever there soulmate is in pain
(ex: if you stub your toe your soulmate will sense the pain and or feel it)

And skin: if you were to write on your hand with the intention of contacting your soulmate or wanting help they will see the writing/markings

Izuku has never tried contacting his soulmate sense the incident when he was six years old

(Le nother flashback)

'Mommy! Mommy loo-'
Izuku was stopped half way through his sentence by a sudden overwhelming burning pain in his face

He dropped to the ground, choking off cry of pain
'Gah! M-mommy!' Tears began to form in his eyes as he continued to hyperventilate 'help me it hurts!'

Inko rushes out of the kitchen to see the boy on the ground clutching his face
'MOMMY IT BURNS! IT BURNS!' He cried out

Inko quickly picked up her son and called the ambulance
The hospital

'W-what happened to him?!'

'He's fine, I have some good news'

She breathed out a sigh of relief
'What is it doctor?'

'Your boy does have a soulmate'

'Really?! Oh thank god..' inko brought a hand over her heart and bit her tongue to stop the wave of happy tears from falling down her face

'The bad thing is.. the burning in his eye was caused by his soulmate this could mean one of two things, they are in pain from some freak accident, possibly in critical condition... or- maybe even a victim of some kind of abuse at home or school, now that his soulmate and him has hope the other is out there izukus brain will want to feel any pain his soulmate feels,

such as emotionally drained when they are, irritation when they are, and sad as well as lonely when thinking about the other for too long and in rare cases physical pain but only small things like stubbing a toe or scraping their knee'

'I guess that not to bad.. but how do we tell izuku his soulmate is in pain?'

'We don't, we'll tell him his soulmate
tried contacting him and that caused a headache, knowing the one he was desisted to be with is in this situation and possibly even being abused will take a toll on his heart'

Inko hesitated 'I don't like this b-but it's for his own good.. right?' The doctor nodded

Little did they know, he had been listening in on there entire conversation and knew exactly what had happened

His eyebrows furrowed and he paced the room for a moment, thinking

Suddenly an idea came to mind and he grabbed a marker

After successfully finding one he sat back down and wrote a message

,helo I kno that ur in pain but pls stay hapy!'

Izuku wrote a small and sweet message on his arm finished with a smiley face and waited for a response

,I'm sry did u feel any ov the pain? Are u hurting?'

,yea but I'm ok pls dont b sad'

,ok ill stay hapy for u'

,yay! I lov u pls get some slep'

,ok.. goodnite solemate'

Ever since then he only sends occasional doodles and drawings to let them know he still cares

He snapped back into reality and to his horror, realized Uraraka had been talking this entire time

"A-anyways thank you for letting me vent I really had to tell someone"

He gave a sheepish nod and smile, going along with it

"It's okay! And I apologize for yelling I think I'm just having a bad day or something.."

"It's fine!"
Uraraka got up and brushed nonexistent dust off her skirt
"Cya later dekukun!"

And just like that.. he was all alone
