We start exams in first grade

I was having panic attacks about failing in first grade

And its only gotten worse bc my school does this thing where if you get honor role or honorable mention there is a huge ceremony where they call everyone up and get ribbons, leaving behind  everyone who didnt get one, while embarrassing them and shaming them.

yes its good to celebrate your achievements but not shame the ones who couldnt meet your standards

and little thing if you want to get honor role at my school your average for the term has to be a 93.5% or above

honorable mention is 92.7%

and ofc a TON of kids manage to get honor role every year

it fucking sucks bc i am always one of the kids left behind
