"Elizabeth!" Race shouted, "ELIZABETH!" He shouted again as the two turned the corner that led back to Jack and Kathrine's apartment. She finally paused, "What?" Elizabeth asked as she turned to face Race.

"Why did we leave so quickly? You looked scared!" He asked, concern all over his face,

"I'll explain later." Elizabeth replied as she began to walk towards the apartment. He didn't move, "Come on," she pleaded, still holding his hand.

"I want an explanation now." Race shouted. Race noticed that Elizabeth looked scared, "Elizabeth," He said lowering his voice, "I love you, you know that. But, you have to tell me what's going on..."

"That's not Rowan." She whispered, cutting him off,

"What?" Race asked confused

"That's not the Rowan I know. Rowan's father worked for a railroad company. Her mom raised her and her brother. Her father left them when she was ten, that's when I met her. He was so poor that they were homeless for years! He couldn't have left behind any sort of inheritance!" She said very quickly. She stood there breathing heavily. She felt as if a huge weight was lifted off of her shoulders, but that she laid the weight right on top of Race. He looked even more confused than before. "Could it be?" Race asked

"Maybe." Elizabeth replied, "You know what. Let's do something fun. How about," She paused, "if we... go to Jacobi's and get a drink?"

"What about Snyder's men?" Race asked.

"Oh, right. What about going to a boxing match?" She asked with her face lighting up.

"I didn't bring any money." Race said feeling in his pockets.

"I did!" Elizabeth giggled as she pulled out a wad of cash from her hand bag, "I'm not an idiot. Don't get on my bad side." She finished as she kissed Race on the cheek, "Let's go!"

The two walked the streets of New York hand in hand to a tune corner store called Washington Heights Corner where they both bought a candy bar and soda, "I want to show you something." Elizabeth said as the two finished eating, siting at a table for two just outside the store, "Follow me?" Elizabeth half asked half said. Race nodded and stood up.
