The Description
Now that users are taking notice of my cover, I need a description. On a physical book, depending on whether the cover is hardcover or paperback, you can find it on the front flap of the protection cover or the back cover. I suggest using a description from a real book to help you out with your own.
Here is my description: what if hinny went to high school. what if they didnt like each other. ginny and harry hate each other and always have. the teacher forces them to be partners and they fall in love. dean is ginny's best friend and an argument about him causes hinny to break up. what will hinny do. will they get back together or will they go seperate ways.
I can't just leave it that way though! It spoils the whole book! My fanfic is pretty cliche (which is okay if it's a good cliche fanfic), so it is obvious that Ginny and Harry will get back together. Not to mention I don't have any caps for the names and the beginning of my sentences. The description also has the dreaded "what if." Sometimes I see whole descriptions that are just "what if." Please refrain from doing this!
Here is my new description: Harry and Ginny have hated each other since kindergarten. When their high school teacher pairs them up for a project, neither of their live could get worse. As they work together, their hearts open up for each other and hate turns to love. Neither of their loves could get any better... and they don't. Arguments arise and hate returns, but do they really feel that way towards one another?
Not perfect, but it will attract the reader's attention enough to read it. Someone will want to read my story.
