"Baby do you know it's been a long time since you have spent some time with me? Cmon these games have made you forget me Manik!"
"Alya babes you know it's nothing of this sort! Can I ever forget you? Not in this lifetime! But now I need to complete whatever I have started with! You know I don't like loosing!" She smiled widely and placed a long smooch on my cheek.
"Meet you soon" I bid her goodbye after all my lovey dovey stuff with her and drove to Nandini's place. Navya had called up sometime back asking me infact us that is all of my friends to dance at her ceremony. I tried refusing but she nagged like a baby saying this would be like a wedding gift for her! Left with no option I had to finally give in! Frankly I was finding all of this very interesting. Soon I halted the car in front of Her place and stepped in.

"Chachi" I saw Chachi sitting alone and that was it she came running to me, caressing me, showering her love on me. "Manik beta in sab mein toh main tumse puchna hi bhul gayi kya kaam hai beta?"
"Aree absolutely no problem chachi woh Navya ne bulaya tha for some dance toh.."
"Haan Haan woh Upar Nandu ke room mein ho raha hai!" She pointed out and thank god finally she let me go. "Achese karna" I heard Chachi say as I was climbing up the stairs.

I could hear the song playing in the room when I saw her twirling around and within a minute I hid myself behind the pillar peeping in. She was one ethereal woman who was tapping laughing and enjoying the dance.
"Nandu tu akele yeh song pe dance karegi?" I heard Navya's chirpy voice and she stopped. Damn! It was such a pleasure to watch her dance.

"Navya I am going to dance alone! Be it whatever I won't dance with someone"
"You know it's a couple dance thing! Now I am going to find a partner for you. Wait I don't need to do that! Yeh Mr.Malhotra hai na who is secretly peeping in to watch you dance!" I straightened myself on being caught and cleared my throat indicating my innocence. "Wh....What Peeping in? I..I wasn't doing that!" Navya came towards me and pulled me in dragging me beside Nandini when finally she made me stand with her she said "Keh do na tumhe Nandini ke saath dance karna hai! Hum kuch nahi kahenge! Ab decide ho hi gaya hai toh chalo let's give it a shot"
"Nav....Navya main kaise" Nandini stammered while looking at Navya but I was too engrossed in her as I slightly wrapped my hand around her waist and pulled her ahead. She hit my chest and I entwined the other hand with hers. The song continued as we matched up with the beats playing.

All this while I kept dancing with her sometimes twirling her around, sometimes pulling her back towards me and sometimes just moving with the sync. All this while our eyes did not break the gaze on each other. It seemed that her petite figure was just made for me. It fitted perfectly in my arms. Her lips which spoke of pure love each time and her eyes! Which still did not break the stare! They had a shine! A shine which twinkled each time they blinked! While moving we did not realise when did the song change.

I think I would have kissed her then and there if Navya wouldn't have shouted "ohh Fab 4! Finally! Nandini aur Manik Tum dono issi song pe dance karoge! Tum dono ko toh practice ki bi jarurat nahi hai" I parted away the moment I realised where we would have got carried away if they wouldn't have come! My gaze shifted to Alya. It seemed like she was annoyed. Did she notice everything? Shit! I hope I am not screwed! The practice continued for some more time and thankfully everyone was practising there so the situation between both of us did not get awkward.

"What was that Manik?" I heard Alya say coming in my room. "Alya it was just a practice! You know I have to let her fall for this trap! Now no more questions and complaints let's go and have some fun in the ceremony" She fixed my suit and circled her arm around mine as all of us left for the ceremony.

I could see people running around to complete the preparations while the venue was decorated beautifully. Walking inside staring at the beauty of the place I noticed her! Well I could only face her back till now. She finally turned around clinging her hair tress behind her ear. I had never imagined she could look this gorgeous.

I have been with a lot of girls before but she was different my heart felt. A bundle of all the beauties maybe? Now I feel how much she deserves to become a model! But soon I noticed her running like a maniac. She did not watch ahead and banged into my chest. "Bhoot dekh liya kya?" I asked her but she looked scared as well as worried! "Ma..Manik I.. I saw Harshad"
"Haan toh?" I asked smiling "I saw Harshad kissing some other girl Manik" now this wasn't good. "What? Are you sure?" She nodded and I pulled her outside as we both searched for Harshad! He was no where. Infact there was no one! "Dekho Nandini yaha koi nahi hai! It must be your illusion" Worry still did not leave her face. "Nahi nahi Manik" I shushed her placing my index finger on her lips. "Nandini you have no idea what you have turned into! Your look is making me fall for you! Look at yourself. You are no less than an angel" She lowered her eyes as blood rushed to her cheeks! "Here take this" I said handing her a glass of water as I saw a waiter passing by.

"So the most awaited dance performances have started! Let's call upon our first couple Desi Kudi Nandini and Videshi Munda Manik! Give a round of applause for them." The announcement hit our ears making us realise we still had a BOOM performance to give. I caught her hand and pulled her rushing to the dance floor.

This time as we twirled and danced I could sense something unusual and different. It was like she was clinging to me. Jumping on me! For the first time I thought it must be my thought so I let it go.

But again I felt the same until I smelled wine stopping her from kissing me! "Nandini!" I held her shoulders trying to awaken her. "Are you drunk?" Well she just smiled and nodded in a no which was an indication that she was already drunk. Now what should I do? I couldn't let Chachi see her this way! Or else she was screwed. Somehow I managed her through the entire ceremony where in she created a havoc when she screamed "Yippee Navya is engaged" I shut her mouth and pulled her aside this time so that no one notices us. "Shhh Nandini Kya kar rahi ho?"
"Aree can't you see I am enjoying my Navu's engagement." She screamed in excitement. "Okay fine fine! Now tell me where's your phone?"
"Kyu? Why do you want to know!" I glared at her and her face went dull. "Aise gussa mat karo! It is here" She pointed her finger at her purse which was hanging on her waist. It made me feel quite weird but I curled my hands around her waist and pulled her sliding my hand inside her purse and I grabbed her phone. Quickly I dropped a message to her Chachi saying that she would stay with Navya at her place that night and hit send. First problem solved! "Chalo" I exclaimed as I figured out to take her at her place itself. "Kaha I am not going anywhere!"
"Nandini don't trouble me! Keep your tantrums away and come or else" I threatened her but she was not scared at all. "Nahi toh Kya?"

I swiftly grabbed her and picked her up in my arms tightening my grip because she was jumping in my arms."Manik! Nahi jaana mujhe tumhare saath" She kept hitting me but now I had to do this. Making her sit in the car I tied the seat belt around her body so that she sticks to the place. She kept blabbering but I paid no heed and drove away speedily and halted my car at her place. Thankfully I had found the keys of her place when I was searching for her cell phone. I shut the door and climbed the stairs up! "Put me down!" She danced in my arms again. I placed her on the bed and covered her with the duvet. "Sleep now" I turned to leave but her words stopped me
"Why should I listen to you? You are very bad" I could feel her sobbing. "Hey hey why are you crying Nandu?" I cupped her cheeks as her tears scared the shit out of me. "Tum bohot bure ho Manik! I hate you" She pushed me with her little finger. "No Nandu see I am your best friend"
"Nooo" She yelled "You aren't! You are very bad! Kitna hurt kiya hai tumne mujhe! I hate you but the worst part is I can only say it but I can't hate you for real! Manik Why did you do this? Kyu kiya mere saath aisa? You know how much courage it took me to come up and tell you? Par Tum chale gaye! Chale gaye without turning back. You know how much I missed you? I Lo...." She left me speechless. My heart and head wanted her to complete her words but she dozed off! What did she want to say? I hurt her? What did her words mean? I gently kissed her forehead and left as I drove home. Her sentences kept roaming in my head till sleep acquired Me!
