Chapter 16:

I landed on one of the old warehouse's by the Harbor, I glanced around, hoping Crys listened to me and didn't follow me, I hope Venom gets me before she does because I am a lot more scared of her when she is angry then him. I slipped through a hole on the roof and landed on the ground, water scattered around as my feet made contact with the wet ground. "You are stupid to come alone," A voice echoed, I instantly crouched and looked around, "Come out and face me, Harry!" I called out, clenching my fist, Harry came out of the shadows on the top balcony, he was wearing his Green Goblin exosuit, "And why would I do that?" He grinned, "If you didn't want to fight me then why did you send Venom and Carnage to StarkTower to look for me?" I asked, "You see, that was just a distraction, because I knew that the girl would stay with her dad and you being who you are, will force her to stay behind while you try to be the hero and face us alone," He explained as he started pacing, just at that moment Venom and Carnage walked out of the shadows and stood in front of me, "Parker, we missed you," Venom grinned, I froze, remembering the first time I ever wore the symbiote, "Now, where is my device?" Harry growled, "About that, see there was this deerbra and he took the device, I tried stopping it but it was too f-" I fell to the ground when something slammed into my chest, soon I felt wires wrap around my chest and the wires dug into the ground, pinning me there. "Now, tell me where my device is or I will let Venom have fun with you." I gasped as I felt his sharp claw dig into my leg, I clenched my fists tightly as I let out a silent scream, the agonizing pain took any sound out of my mouth, "Tell me where it is," Harry growled as he jumped off the balcony, I squirmed as I tried to get away but it only made the claw dig deeper in my leg, "I don't know! Stark took it away from me when I came back," I screamed, squirming harder though I knew it was useless. I looked up and saw Crys on the balcony, I groaned, 'Why can't she ever listen to me?' She looked at me and placed her finger over her lips, telling me to be quiet. "Fine, you are useless like you always have been," Happy pulled his gun out and aimed it at my head, Crys pulled out her dagger and jumped, the world slowed down when Carnage noticed her and launched a tendril at her, I growled as I broke the wires and jumped up, I kicked Harry out of the way and slid under Venom, I jumped the tendril, I grabbed it and threw Carnage into Harry and Venom then I flipped forward and caught Crys before she could slam into the ground. "I wish you listen to me," I grumbled as I set her on her feet, "And I wish you weren't so damn stubborn." Crys snapped back, "We'll finish this conversation later," I grumbled as I turned my attention back to Harry, "You can't beat us alone," Harry smirked, standing up. I went to say something but Crys beat me to it, "He isn't alone, you bastard," She snarled, I stopped, I don't I ever heard Crys use that word. "Calm down with your sailor mouth," I said to her, she shot a glare at me, "I'm still mad at you." She mumbled, "Look, you guys can fight like a married couple later, Venom attack!" Harry ordered Venom, I looked around just he tackled me through the floor and into the cold waters below, "Peter!" Crys screamed, I swam above water, "I'm fine! Run!" I said but soon I was dragged back under water. I held my breath as I struggled to push Venom off, "You can't win, Parker," Venom growled, pulling me deeper in the water, I struggled again, feeling my chest get tight as my vision blurred, I kicked Venom in the head and webbed his eyes, he let me go and I fought to get above water, I broke the surface and gasped deeply for air, I groaned as I pulled myself up on the dock, I shuddered as the winds swirled around and sent chills down my spine, I laid across the dock as I fought to catch my breath. My chest and lungs burned badly with each time I inhaled air. A screamed echoed from the warehouse, "Crys!" My voice was horsed as I scrambled to my feet and darting toward the warehouse. I jumped through the window and landed in a crouch, I saw Harry holding Crys by the throat, he was flying on his gilder, "Look at what I have," He held up the device, "No!" I webbed the wall behind Harry and launched at him just as he activated the device, we disappeared and reappeared on top of a glass roof, I tackled Harry and punched him in the face.

"Peter!" Crys screamed as she slid down the glass, "Crys!" I grabbed Crys hand as I struggled to stop us from sliding, Harry shattered the glass, causing us to fall. I pulled Crys closer to me as we slammed onto something hard. "Are you okay?" I asked as she nodded, unable to find her voice, I groaned as we stood up, "Hey, Parker. Take a look around us," Harry said above us from his gilder, I looked around and froze, my heart shattering. The cogs, the glass ceiling shattered, I looked down at the spot where Gwen fell to her death and I was too slow to save her, we are at the Clock Tower, "Peter don't listen to him, he did this to throw you off," Crys whispered in my ear, "And it worked," Harry tackled me through the cog, landing on the railing, He punched me in the jaw, pain coursing through my jaw as I struggle to push him off, "Face it, you will never get over the fact that you are too weak to be a hero," He snarled, pinning me to the floor, I bit my lip as I struggled against him then I remember something Tony thought me.

Flashback:

Two months ago at Avenger's Tower.

I fell to the floor with a thud and rolled, "You can't keep relying on your senses to win a fight," Tony said as he pulled up his faceplate, "Why it's useless, without my senses, I'm weak." I mumbled as I sat up and pulled my mask off, "Its not about being weak or strong, its about having the will and desire to fight for those who can't," Tony stated wisely, holding his arm out, I grabbed his forearm and he pulled me to my feet.

Present day:

I blinked as my mind came back to the problem at hand, I punched him in the face and threw him off of me, I flipped onto my feet and looked at him, I swung at him but he blocked my arm and picked me by my throat, "Give up, Parker." He growled, "Heh, what's the fun in that?" I webbed his face, I twisted where I wrapped my legs his throat and flipped him into a wall. I landed on my feet and glanced over at Crys who was still on the cogs, kinda frozen in fear, "I'm coming Crys!" I flipped onto one of the cogs and jumped over to her, "Are you okay?" I asked her, cupping her cheeks, she nodded, "Y-yeah, Peter look out!" She pointed to Harry throwing a pumpkin bomb at her, "Shit," I grabbed Crys and jumped but the impact of the explosion sent us flying through a window, Crys slipped out of my grasp and I quickly webbed her waist then I webbed the wall to stop us from falling to our deaths. "Are you okay?" I called out to her, she nodded, gripping onto the webbing tightly. I glanced around, trying to figure a way down, I froze when I heard Harry laughing above us, I cursed under my breath then I looked down at Crys, "Do you trust me?" I called down to her, she looked up at me and stared at me for a moment then glared, "Don't you dare do it," She snarled, I shook my head, "I have no choice, do you trust me?" I asked her again, she was silent for a few moments before she nodded. I nodded and took a deep breath, I waited till Harry got close to us then I let go with both webs, he slammed into the wall where I was hanging as Crys and I free fell, I took a deep breath and shot a web nothing came out, I cursed and did it again, nothing. "It will be good to catch me now!" Crys screamed, fear clear in her voice, "I'm trying," I glanced past her as I see the ground getting closer, I took a deep breath and reached out my arm, a web shot out my web shooter, as soon as the web made contact with Crys I pulled her toward me with a grunt and I flipped over, causing me to slam into the ground. I groaned, pain coursing through my body, "Peter, Peter, are you okay?" Crys asked as she slowly stood off of me, "Yeah, just a few broken rib, a ripped muscle and I think I got a concussion but other then that I feel great." I said sarcastically, rubbing the back of my head, "Are you okay?" I asked, looking at her. She nodded and rubbed her arm, "Yeah, thanks to you. Oh by the way, don't you ever drop me like that again!" She yelled, hitting me in the arm, "Ow, what was that for?" I asked, rubbing my arms, "You dropped me," She muttered, crossing her arms, "Yeah but I caught you," I reminded her, she rolled her eyes, "Barely." She murmured, I rolled my eyes but looked over when I saw figure limping toward her, I turned toward the figure and realized it was Harry, I heard Crys groan behind me, "Just die you ugly Goblin." She yelled at him, Harry laughed and jumped on his gilder, "You cannot kill a demon, you only make them stronger." He laughed, I grinned, "We'll see about that." I grabbed Crys' hand and pulled her into the power grids, "What are we doing?" She asked, glancing behind her, "I got a plan." I told her.

I took a deep breath and webbed two power grids then tied them together, "Okay, I stole this from Harry when he and I was fighting in the Clock Tower," I pulled out a pumpkin bomb and placed it on the webbing, "Crys I need you to push this button and launch the bomb when I say," I told her, she walked over to me, "Why?" It clicked in her head and she shook her head, "No Peter, I know what you are planning and I'm not going to do it, you can't make me!" She snarled, I sighed, "It's always a fight with her, why can't she just listen to me?" I thought to my self then I shook my head, "Please Crys, just do it please." I begged, "If I do then you could die," She argued, shaking her head, "And if we don't do this we both die!" I snapped, causing her to back up, "And I can't let that happen, not if there is breath in my lungs so please do this." I begged again, she stared at me for a moment then nodded, "Fine, but if you don't make it out of this I will kill you," She grumbled, grabbing the webbing from me, "I'll keep that in mind," I started for one of the power grids, I stopped and looked at her, "Oh Crys, if I don't make it back I just want to say, I love you, I really do. And I always have and I always will." I turned and crawled up one of the power grids.

I waited till the right moment then I jumped behind Harry on the gilder, "Damn you Parker," Harry growled, I ducked under his elbow and punched him in the side, I then put him in a head lock and placed my foot in front of his to stop him from moving. "You need to stop this," My voice strained as I struggled to keep him still, "You did this!" Harry flew backwards and slammed me into one of the power grids, I grunted as my grip started to loosen, I shook my head and tightened my grip. I looked over at Crys, "Now!" I called to her, she shook her head, "I can't!" I heard her call out, I groaned, "We don't have time to argue about this, just do it!" I argued, Crys groaned and let the sling shot go, the world slowed down when the bomb as inches away, I tried to jump away but Harry held onto me, "If I go down, you're going down with me." I closed my eyes and braced for impact. The bomb slammed into Harry's chest and the impact caused me to fly backwards and slam through some power grids, I slammed onto the ground and just laid there, my body felt like it was on fire as pain coursed through every vein, "Peter! Peter!" I heard faint screaming but I couldn't move, I closed my eyes and let the darkness take over me.

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around, "Ugh, where am I?" I called out as I slowly stood up, "Peter," I heard behind me, I whipped around and froze, "G-wen?" I asked as I backed up, I can't believe it's her, it's really her. She smiled and nodded, "It's me, Bug Boy." She smiled warmly, I blinked a few more times then I ran up to her and hugged her tightly, she hugged me back but pulled away, "What is it, Gwen?" I asked, kinda worried, "Okay, even though we are together and I love that but I need you to go back." She told me, cupping my cheeks, I raised a brow, "Back? Back to where?" I asked, clearly confused, "Peter, you are on the brink of death but I need you to fight it, the world needs you to fight it, Crys needs you to fight it." She told me, I blinked back a few tears, "B-but Gwen." She shook her head, "I love you Peter but right now they need Spider-Man more then I do." She pressed her lips against mine then disappeared and the world went dark again.

My eyes shot open, "Gwen!" I shot up and let out a cry of pain. "Hey, take it easy." Crys was next to me and pushed on my chest, I looked around, "Where am I?" I rubbed my face as I lay back down, "You're in the Infirmary, you almost didn't make it," She frowned, "Tell me about it." I muttered then looked down as Crys tightly wrapped her arms around me, "I thought I lost you for good," She muttered against my chest, I frowned as I wrapped my arms around her, "And the worst part it would have been my fault." She added, burying her face in my chest, "Hey, it's okay, all that matters is that we are both alive." I whispered, rubbing her shoulders. She nodded and stayed the way she was, I took a deep breath, "If I made it out alive, did Harry?" I asked myself, could he still be alive? Only time will tell.
