The Maiden of Light
We all await,
In bitter darkness,
For the Maiden,
Who wears a colorful gown.
Everytime,
She dances with a gentleman,
Her gown sweeps across the floor,
Making the colors that are on the gown,
Dance with her.
All we see,
Is a beautiful and colorful blur,
When she dances,
With a gentleman.
She dances long enough,
For the colors on her gown to start shedding off light,
And then she herself glows.
The thing about the Maiden,
Is not her colors,
Or her dance,
Or her light.
The most remarkable thing,
Is that she doesn't care,
About who she is dancing with,
Or who is watching.
She shows her colors,
Her dance,
And her light,
To all of humankind.
She is the Maiden of Light.
