Taji woke up and sat up. She looked up then at her clock. It was 4:27 am. 2 hours before she would get picked up by the bus. Her back was sore and she had a splitting headache. It had been 2 days after these suspicious horns, wings and tail had formed on her body. All she wanted to do was see her friend chey. The girl didnt know this but taji had a major crush on her, and just the thought of talking to her made taji get butterflies in her stomach.

Taji stripped out of her clothes and slipped on a bra and new underwear. She then pulled on a skirt and put on her skeleton sweater and pulled on her stockings. After her clothes were on she looked in the mirror and saw she had a bruise on her cheek and sighed. Grabbing some makeup and taking the time to cover it. She already had a lot of questions about her demon like features, she didnt want anymore.

She sighed and crept into the living room, checking to see if her mother was in there and she let out a sigh of relief when she didnt see the woman anywhere in sight.

She quickly made herself a bowl of cereal and ate it quickly then put the bowl in the sink and started doing the dishes. She looked at the clock on the wall and saw it was now 5:27. She finished the dishes and walked back to the comfort of her room and grabbed her bag and her phone.

She sat on her bed and started texting someone

Good morning!

I'm gonna be heading over a few minutes

Chey

Okay! See you then!

Taji smiles and feels a blush cover her face as she puts her phone into her bag and starts heading back into the living room. She sees her mom, who's making coffee in the kitchen.

"B-bye mom! Love you!" She yelps out and her mother looks at her and gives her a glare "yeah yeah...whatever....love you too" she grumbled and taji gave a nervous smile and headed outside. She quickly walked to chey's house and once she got there, she saw her walking out of the house "oh hey!" Taji said and chey looked at her and smiled "hey taji!" She said and taji ran up to go hug her.

Chey was taller than her by 4 inches, though taji wore heels a lot so there was more of a 2 inch difference most the time.

"So how have you been?" Taji first asked and chey hid her hands in the pockets of her jacket.

"I've been alright for the most part, I didnt finish my homework so I need to do that during breakfast" chey said and taji smiled "you can copy off mine if you like!" Taji suggested and chey blushed and giggled "okay then. It's better than nothing" chey said and taji nodded.

The two make it to the bus stop and taji looks at the cloudy dark sky. "It looks like it might rain today. I didnt bring an umbrella..." taji said with a sigh and chey smirked "no worries, I have one that we can share" she reassured and taji felt a blush form on her cheeks again

Being so close to someone you love under an umbrella while the peaceful sound of rain tapped against the ground was just so romantic to taji. She imagined it in her head and was instantly in love with that idea.

"Would that be Alright?"

Taji snaps out of her thought and looks at chey and quickly nods "y-yeah! That's alright!" Taji stuttered and chey smiled as she found that adorable.

The bus arrives and the two get on. Taji points out an empty seat and the two agree to sit together.

Taji sits next to the window and chey sits next to her. Soon after, the bus starts moving and taji sighs as the bus was warmer than outside. She looked out the window and watched the trees pass by and some dogs trying to race the bus but they obviously fail when they run into a fence.

Taji had been so preoccupied with what was going on outside that she disnt even notice that someone had picked up a conversation with chey.

That was till she heard the girl let out a small laugh. Taji immediately turned her attention to chey and saw that a boy had taken a seat on the seat across from them.

"Awe man I wanted to sit next to you this morning but it's alright I guess." Zephyr said and chey nodded "maybe tomorrow."

'What? No! She sits with me! And me only!' Taji thought to herself and felt a little hurt "but if you do that then who will I sit with?" Taji asked and chey looked at her

"well um...I dunno...we'll just see what happens okay? Dont worry, I'm sure it'll be fine" she said and taji looked at her lap "o-okay.." taji said and zephyr smiles gently "it's Alright chey, sit with taji, since the girl clearly doesn't know how to make new friends" zephyr said and in a way it was hateful towards taji, she glared at him and frowned. He wasnt wrong though. Chey was the first friend that actually stayed with taji. For more than a year.

"Awe zeph, dont say that, look I'll sit with you on the bus ride home, later today okay?" Chey said and taji hated all of those words that came out of her mouth. "In the meantime I'm gonna get some sleep. Dont fight please" she said with a yawn and closed her eyes.

Taji looked at zephyr and he glared her down.

It was almost like two dogs fighting over dominance.

"She will be mine taj..I hate to be so rude about it but you can't do anything about it. I won't lose to a small fragile girl like you." He whispered just enough for taji to hear. And those words were like fuel to a flame that was building up inside taji.

"We'll just see about that zephyr.." she muttered back and the boy just rolled his eyes and leaned back in his seat...
