this is were i will outline the beginning notes she had us write to give us ideas as were to GET ideas about what to write a college essay 

my senior lit teacher knows that im doing this pet project and so she sent me some links as to what she used for our class and she said she would send them to me 

i will put the links with what section they were apart of  

NOW if in the comments you want to make your own lists feel free i wont judge what you write just please be respectful to what others write and to yourself

first she had us take an 'ego trip' as she called it and make a list of traits about ourselves that we liked: this was mine (i was apparently in a very generous mood with myself)

next she had us circle 2-3 of these traits that will not get through what activities or grades you do/have i will put a (:)) next to the ones i circled

next she told us about things we shouldn't talk about in an essay

she made sure to make it clear to us that we can write about those topics bt we have to have perspective on it and she gave us this quote 'you can write about scars but you cant rite about wounds' 

she also recommended that you don't write about anything that will make a school concerned about your character 

you CAN use those topics just be VERY careful (i don't recommend ever talking about drug use ever in an essay like this)  

dont try to be funny or cheeky 

but be honest dont make up lies 

dont streach the truth 

be honest 

dont change yourself in your essey to be more like what you THINK they want in a student 

because lots of times once theyve taken all the applications with the GPA's they like then they look at your essey to find out what kind of person you are because they want to have a variety in personalities and a braud/wide range of difforent types of personalities because its better for the school enviornment 

this was the example she gave us 

'lets say you have a school were everyone loves sports that's all everyone likes 

now lets say you get hurt and can no longer play 

if everyone loves sports and that's all they have 

you no longer have a reason to be their'

so be honest in your college essay

next she had us answer these questions (and i will be putting my answers like this) {when my teacher found out i was doing this allong with showing my answers to the questions she asked me 'isnt that kind of personal' beucase in class she said that these were just for us and that she wouldnt even read them} 

what is the coolest place you've visited? (conneticon!)

what is your most memorable high school experience? (being told i will be allowed to go to connneticon and meeting my closest real life friend and meeting all of my online friends) 

what was the most difficult year in your life? (7-8-9th grade) 

most exciting moment? (arriving to conneticon) 

best accomplishment? (almost getting straight A's for the first time) 

biggest influential person or thing in your life (my mom and my fandoms and the friends i met in them) 

favorite book (harry potter)

 favorite season (fall) 

biggest disappointment in your life (being put in sped classes[special education])

if you could change anything in your life what would it be? (my past grades) 

she said that any of these answers could be what your college essay could be about (she made sure to mention that if you do the biggest disappointment one or one like it that instead of saying bad  things about how bad and stupid you ware that instead focus on who you are now and how far you've come from it) 

i decided not to use any of those but share a story about something that happened to me recently that caused me to let go of a friend that i really loved but had to decide wasn't good for me to be around 

I decided to do this to keep everything and all of my notes in one place online and to help myself and hopefully it could help someone in this sight with their college essay
