There was many things team 7 was concerned about... not the fact that they had to do D rank missions... but for the fact that the blond on their team hasn't said anything. No complaining about weeds... he easily caught Tora because he was so silent... but what confused them the most was the small smile that they never seen before on his face and the new fashion statement with the red jacket..

"Who broke Naruto." Kakashi whispered to his students who shook their heads in obvious confusion. They continued to walk before Kakashi dismissed Naruto who nodded and began to walk away slowly towards his favorite ramen stand... "New mission you two... mission... stealth..." they nodded before they started to trail the blond in nearby trees and buildings.

Naruto hummed as he walked into the ramen bar and sat on a stool and looked up towards Ayame who seemed to be staring at his Jacket. "Three miso ramen Ayame-chan!" He said rather boisterous making her smile slightly. "Just a moment Naruto." He waved his feet until he felt another presence and felt a arm go around his shoulders. "Yo. Miss me?" He saw Ryouichis grinning face fairly close to his making him go red briefly before he turned his head slightly. "As if... i'm just hungry.. normal day for me." He said in denial.

"Ooooh? Really? You wearing my jacket says otherwise." Naruto choked slightly on air and turned to see the small innocent look on the red heads face before he starting to laugh... and the laugh was like music to Ryouichis ears as he laughed as well. "Ahh another familiar face." Ayame said as she brought in two bowls and sat one in front of the boys.

"Itadakimasu!" Before they began to dig in and they turned to each other and began to laugh as the other had a noodle on their face. Ayame heard the laughter and looked towards her father who seemed to have a similar smile. "He finally found someone to talk to... and he probably will never let go of that person."

Sakura and Sasuke were surprised to see someone around there age sitting and talking to the blond in such a familar way... never have they seen this red haired boy and the surprise that they held when the blond was acting much more different then around them.

Kakashi who was watching from a far was also fairly surprise.. it seemed like a nostalgic thing to see a red head and blond sitting next to each other at Ichirakus...

Ryouichi was defiantly in a good mood... he liked Naruto.. the day he spent yesterday was the best day of his life... the kiss he gave signified that... and the jacket was just a way of confirming.. and the fact that the blond was wearing it made him overjoyed. He looked towards the blond who seemed to be staring at his jacket.. feeling the fibers with his fingers.

"You said your on vacation... for how long?" He looked up with sadness evident on his face making him frown in thought.. "..only for a week." That was the deal with his guard.. "but i should come back soon.. or well.." he chuckled sheepishly. "I'll try to anyways.." Naruto nodded slowly as he clutched the jacket but he noticed.. looking down at his hand he saw the red gem on his ring and smiled brightly at the thought and poked the blond.

"How about... you keep my jacket and this..." he held out his hand ans lightly laid his ring on the palm of Narutos hand. "It has a seal on it so it should adjust... your hands are kinda small." Ryou said with a small jab making Naruto give a glare towards him but he was smiling nevertheless. "..just a way to remind you I will be here soon.." he grabbed the ring slowly, "I don't have anything to give you though..." He said frowning. "...no one lets me buy anything."

Ryou smiled and leaned forward to whisper into his ear. "Knowing your wearing the ring is enough for me." He pulled back and saw a look that made him start laughing out loud. "Ahh whats the face Naru-chaaan?" He pouted and crossed his arms in a annoyed fashion. "You're mean." Making Ryou seemed aghast at that. "You hurt me, how can I go on now~." He put his hand up to his forehead fairly dramatically making Naruto start to give a small giggle before it turned into laughter.

Ryou smiled brightly at the sound once more before Naruto put on the ring to his right ring finger and gave the boy a hug... since he was a bit shorter he had his head on his shoulder... "Thank you..." he whispered silently as Ryou blushed and lightly hugged him back as he pulled back, running out the booth with pink dusted on his face.

The red head smiled as he pulled out some money and payed for his food. "Your welcome..." he murmured.

...

Naruto after he ran out of the booth, he was blushing so hard he couldn't even notice the surrounding to see his team curiously watching him. They couldn't see to much behind the curtain or hear much besides laughter... but they were so surprised to see someone actually becoming friends with the blond.

They looked towards the ramen bar to see the red head come out curiously and stretch his arms and then gave a small look to the two teens who seemed to be staring at him. "Can I help you?" He asked curiously making Sakura go up to him with a look. "What did you do to Naruto?" He tilted his head in curiosity. "Besides hanging out... nothing." He shrugged his shoulders.

Sakura gave him a look before he placed his hands down to his sides and gave her a look. "Who are you to him?" He asked curiously making her frown. "I'm his teammate." His face morphed into a frown. "My teammates don't really... care for me." Narutos voice seemed to echo in his mind.. the sadness etching his voice was quite surprising at how he acts around him, his happy go lucky self...

"I see... well it was nice meeting you, gotta go talk to Hokage-sama." She nodded slowly as he began to walk off, "damn... i didn't even get his name.." she murmured before walking towards her other teammate.

Hiruzen sighed in relief as about ten clones around him seemed to be dealing with all of the paperwork with rapid succession.. he opened his eyes when he heard the door open. Seeing the familiar red head he smiled. "Ahh Ryouichi-kun... how is your stay?" The red head smiled slightly, whenever the Hokage addressed him by that the anbus would be in the room... "Great Hokage-sama. I even made a friend."

"Oh? That is great news. Whats your friends name." Ryou smiled brightly before giving a look towards the Hokage. "His name is Naruto." Hiruzen blinked curiously at that before chuckling slightly at that. "Hope he didn't prank you on your first meeting." He joked making him shake his head. "No, Naruto-kun is very much so tame around me." Ryouichi stated with a small smile, remembering the night before.

"I'm glad.. Naruto-kun needed a friend... it seems you would be a good one." Ryou nodded before he gave a small in-distinctive look. Hiruzen waved his Anbu out of the room... after a little while Ryou stood up and gave the Hokage a look. "Naruto-kun is fairly dense and selfless when it comes with his problems... so might as well report it to you."

Hiruzen raised a eyebrow making Ryou sigh and stand up straight. "His team seems to be neglecting him of his training, it might be because of the Kyuubi." Hiruzen had a small reaction but it was a big surprise to see how fast the boy found out. "Also... it seems that many people treat him unfairly cause of it as well... what kinda village are you running when he is out being treated worse then our enemies?" Ryou crossed his arms in annoyance.

Hiruzen sighed slightly, he was glad that the red haired boy was overprotective over the blond... it would keep him safe in-defiantly... "It is sad that it was much worse then before.." The kage admitted making Ryou go wide eye. "Worse? How can it be worse?" The Hokage grabbed a few files in his drawer and handed them over to the red haired boy who began to look them over...

"All of these are prisoners or executions..." he murmured before he turned them over and he went wide eye at the reason. "Assassinations?" He asked lowly while the old man nodded. "There is more..." he looked up at the Hokage and sat down. "The civilian council continues for him to be pushed out of the village or executed." Ryou gritted his teeth slightly at that. "When he became a ninja it made him safe from the civilian council.. however there are a few ninja who hate Naruto..."

The Hokage sighed before looking up. "All i can do was roadblock everything lethal... but I cant change the way they think... Hatred is always a powerful emotion... especially when its fuel is from loss." Ryou slowly nodded in understanding. "I see.. so this council... how does it have more power then you?" Ryou asked making Hiruzen sigh. "When my successor died they passed many laws before i got back to fix the mess..." he sighed making the young Damiyo grin.

"Give me a piece of paper." Hiruzen looked at him strangely before he complied by handing over a stray piece. "The Hokage has last say in everything that the council has to offer up, and all laws that seem unjust is able to be vetoed by himself." He signed it as Damiyo and grabbed a scroll from his pocket and unsealed the famous Damiyo stamp and stamped it. "Does this help?" He said making Hiruzen go gob smack at the way the boy fixed all his problems . "All I ask is for you to get rid of everything that may harm Naruto-kun." Ryou handed the bill to the Kage who nodded. "There really is a Kami."

Ryouichi rolled his eyes at that before getting up and walking towards the door before looking behind him at the old Hokage. "But don't worry about Naruto-kun... I'll make sure that he smiles." he said giving one of his own smiles towards the Hokage who seem to give chuckle at that as Ryou turned towards the door, "When is the wedding?" The red head face faulted and gave a flustered look towards the older male. "Funny..." He looked down towards his hand that had worn the ring before he gave it to the blond. "Who knows... Maybe one day."

Meanwhile in Naruto's apartment stood the said blond looking down at his hand that wore the red ring and seemed to blush at the sight of it. The boys mind seemed to be filled with images of the red haired boy smiling and laughing with the blond.. and he couldn't stop them. He screamed in the sheets as he rolled in them before a certain image made him stop. Him in Ryouichi's arms, and both of them were smiling so happily.

He blushed bright red before he rolled and then accidentally rolled off the bed and hit the floor. He groaned in slight discomfort and pain before he slowly got up and began walking towards the bathroom, as soon as he got there he looked in the mirror and he saw that he was indeed blushing very brightly. "A shower will help... yeah... clear my mind.." he began to reach for the shower nob only for another image to pop into his mind and he blushed a darker shade of crimson that made him jump straight back into his room and onto the bed "NO NOT THE SHOWERS TOO!"

He looked towards his window and saw that the sky grew dark as he continued to reminisce in all the images and memories. "Maybe I should sleep... that will help me get my mind together.." He began to close his eyes before a thought crossed his mind and he smiled as drowsiness took him. "If it makes me happy... is it really bad?" The blond succumbed to sleep.

After a little while a figure began to tap on the window making Naruto stir and sit up with a yawn before looking back and forth around the room, noticing that it was fairly dark now. The tapping happened again making him look over to the slightly lit up window from the moonlight and saw a familiar red head having a small sheepish smile on his facial features. Naruto gave him a look of disbelief before he began to write on the slightly foggy window making the blond read. 'May I come in?' the kanji said making him sigh and slowly open the window.

"What are you doing here? This late especially in the cold." Naruto yawned before Ryouichi put his hands behind his head and stretched, "I cant say good night?" he asked with a pout making Naruto punch him slightly on the shoulder with a small smile and blush on his features, glad that it was dark that he couldn't see it, "Sorry it took me a little while, had to talk to Hokage-sama." He stated before he turned towards the open window. "I guess I'll get going." he put his foot up making Naruto freeze seeing him leaving before he shot out his hand and grabbed his hand making Ryou look behind him with a curious look.

"Y-You can stay... P-Please d-d-don't leave..." Naruto stuttered as he shook, the vibrations off his hand made Ryou go wide eye, he seemed different from today.. "Okay... I'll stay.." Naruto pulled him down by the hand and laid his head down onto his shoulder with a choked out sob. "I'm scared i'm going to open my eyes and you'll be gone... gone for good." The blond whispered out between sobs before Ryouichi wrapped his arm around his waist and the other around his chest area and hugged the blond. "I'll never leave on purpose... remember, this ring signify's I will always come back, no matter what."

Naruto slowly nodded before he looked up towards the red haired boy who seemed to be calm but stern about what he said. He slowly leaned forward and Ryou's calm demeanor changed to surprise when he felt a kiss etch his cheek before the blond looked away with a blush that showed he seemed flustered about what he just did. Ryou smiled slightly and slowly brought the two both down onto the bed, Ryou having his arms wrapped around him in a protective state. "I will stay and protect you forever... Okay?" he whispered lowly while the blond closed his eyes and laid his head down onto the red headed's chest before he felt himself succumb to sleep again. 

Ryou watched him fall asleep before running his fingers through the blonds hair and admired the blonds features before he kissed him on the forehead once more... "Good night Naruto-kun."
