Part 1
There was once a girl called Amber who loved the sea very much. She lived near the sea with her older brother. She swam in the ocean every day. All the other kids at her school were more interested in other things than swimming or being her friend. Then halfway through her first year of senior high school three boys transferred to her school.
'Why would people come halfway through the year?' Amber thought as she sat down at an empty table and a book. She didn't hear three other people pull out chairs and sit down.
"Hey, what's your name? Hey!"
"Huh?" Amber looked up to see three boys sitting on the on the other side of the table. To say she was surprised would be an understatement.
"So you like mythical creatures?" The blonde boy spoke again.
"Well I dreamed I was saved from drowning by mermen once." The brown haired boy sitting in the middle of the other two started choking on the water he had been drinking as the boy with blue-black hair slapped him on the back as the first boy just laughed.
"Who the hell are you?" Asked Amber.
"Sorry where are my manners? Where you're guardian angels of course." The black haired boy scowled even more if that was possible except now it was directed at the blonde guy.
"Bro you're in trouble." The brown haired guy said.
"Okay, okay I'm just kidding! Ahh-ha-hah-haaa! Don't hurt me!" The guy with the back hair looked like he didn't know what to do and it was the brown haired guy's turn to laugh.
Amber ran her hand down her face and looked at the three boys. The blonde haired guy had hair just short enough that it looked a bit spiky and brown eyes. The boy sitting in the middle had longer darker hair and deep green eyes the colour of emeralds. The last boy had bluish black hair and blue eyes. The blonde haired guy looked to be the youngest and the black haired was clearly the older one but while the youngest was a jokester and the brown haired looked ready to smile the eldest was really serious and almost scary looking. They were all pretty strong and she had to admit they were pretty good looking.
"Seriously who the hell are you people?!" Amber almost shouted out.
"I'm Ash, that's Shay and the serious dude's name is Gabriel." The blonde announced.
"You do realize that I am capable of introducing myself right?" Shay questioned.
"Oh sorry I just figured that you were as incapable at introductions as Gabe." Ash said.
"Isn't that kinda mean?" Amber injects.
"It is. Gabriel is not good with people. Ash is just being his usual self." Shay says.
"We think Gabe has social anxiety." Ash quickly adds.
"We do not!" Shay replies.
"...I do not have social anxiety. I just don't like speaking unless necessary." Gabriel interrupted.
"Well nice to meet you too Gabriel, my name's Amber." Amber said.
"You're name's Amber." -Gabriel
"Yeah...?" -Amber
"Well it's a nice name." Gabriel stayed quiet after that.
The rest of the lunch break was rather awkward with Ash and Shay trying to lighten it up but failing miserably.
After school Amber decided to go straight home after getting Ash to leave her alone, rather than going to the pier like she usually did.
"Your home early." Her brother said. He had the same red hair as her but he had reddish brown as opposed to her lighter brown.
"Yeah. I didn't feel like swimming today, frattelo."
"What's wrong?" Something had to be wrong, Amber would never pass up a chance to be in or around the water.
"Well, today these three boys transferred..."
While Amber is talking to her brother about the boys the boys were also talking about her.
"Are you sure it's her? There's a lot of people at that school we could be wrong." -Shay
"No way this girl I asked said she lives with her older brother. And did you see her hair? No one else has fiery red hair like that!" -Ash
"And she remembers us saving her that time. It's definitely her." -Gabriel
The next day of school passed with the boys sitting with her at lunch break and the classes they shared with her.
That afternoon after school the boys started walking towards the front gate but Amber hung back.
"Come on Amber! For all you know we might live really close." Ash exclaimed loudly.
Shay noticed Amber's hesitation. "You're... coming with us?" Shay asked turning to face Amber.
"N-no I'm uhh staying back to study in the library." -Amber
"Oh well see you then." -Shay
Ash just looked disappointed and didn't say anything for once. Whereas Gabriel smiled at her.
"See you later." He said.
Amber looked surprised for a moment before smiling and turning away. Shay watched her walk inside the school's library before turning to this others.
"You guys want you to hang out by the old pier?"
"Sure lets go! Race you there!" Ash yelled grabbing Gabe's arm and taking off, consequently dragging Gabe behind him.
"Hey no fair, wait up!" Shay yelled and took off after him.
Amber didn't take long to finish the school work she had wanted to do and she started making her way to the old pier where no body ever went. She didn't know that Ash, Shay and Gabriel were there, sitting on the edge, talking about her.
"She's really pretty, I can't believe she doesn't have any friends." Shay stated."
"That's because she does. She has us silly." Shay said pushing Ash into the water.
"Hey!" Ash exclaimed spitting out sea water. He grabbed onto Shay's leg and pulled him in. Shay grabbed hold of the closest thing to him, Gabe, dragging him in too. After a few moments of struggling Shay found his footing and stood up in the water, finding that it only came up to his chest. Gabe was standing beside him. Really close by him. Shay blushed, realising that he was still holding his hand from when he'd grabbed in an attempt to keep from being dragged into the water and quickly let it go. Gabe was thought he looked cute blushing like that and considered taking Shay's hand in his own but decided against it instead telling Ash off.
"People could have seen." He said.
"There's no one here." Ash replied, turning a somersault in the water and diving, flicking his amber colored tail out of the water. Shay heard someone gasp.
"You're an idiot." Shay said, looking up to the pier. Shay hit the back of Ash's head making him look up and notice Amber staring at them.
"Umm hi!?"
Ash said waving and trying to sound normal.
"Well at least you know now." Gabe said. "Come on let's get you to your brother and we'll explain everything."
