'What'd you do?'

You looked down. Warm red seeping onto the tiled floor. It wasn't anything, that you hadn't done before.

'You said you wouldn't do it again.'

Who were you trying to kid? The minute you said that to yourself, you knew it was nothing but a hallow shell, of a promise. Why would you stop?

You weren't sure what it was. Was it the light in their eyes dimming, like the fading of a movie screen, or was it the sudden realization, of them not achieving what they had wanted out of life? You didn't know. Hell, you were a damn psychologist. If anyone should know, it'd be you.

Your job was to help people, yet you couldn't even help yourself.

"Pathetic."

You spit on the reflection of yourself, in the hanging mirror.

Nikolai was pacing between the emerald trees. The rain seemed to not care, as it drenched him, without a care in the world. How could he have been such a coward! He was going to take care of that bastard, and he gets spooked by the sound of a door.

He couldn't just let them be together.

Oh god.

What were they doing right now? Thoughts of the possible things flooded his vulnerable mind. His eyes blankly bored into that, of (Y/n)'s home.

Taking emphatic steps, he was in a hurry, to teach others what's his. Or at least he was, when he saw the figure of a body he'd know anywhere.

Nikolai had been so focused on his rage, that he had failed to notice his beloved leave her home. His heart jumped in a seemingly spastic rhythm.

It relentlessly pounded, at the sight of (Y/n) walking through the night, with her silky tresses clinging to her face. The droplets of rain, like shinning gems on a fairy, or mermaid. No. Nothing could be compared to the beauty of his doctor.

He felt all of his nerves alert, as he swore she looked in his direction. It was like tiny prickles of fire ran through his veins.

But something was wrong. She was getting into that man's car. To be precise, the passenger seat. His suspicion only increased, as the revving of the engine coming to life, was in the air. He had to follower her.

Sprinting through the heavy droplets, Nikolai tried to make it to his car. He had to take a minute, to think of where he had parked it. He wasn't going to be as obvious, as the park it in front of her house, after all.

Something was off, and he would find out what it was.
