Storm

Isn't it lovely, all alone

Heart made of glass, my mind of stone

Tear me to pieces, skin and bone

Hello, welcome home

Connor's POV

After (F/N) hugged me(which I sort of wanted her to forever) she let me go and gave me her signature smile.

"Come on, let's go on a stroll," she said. She takes my hand and we walk out of the Eden Club. Her hand was so soft; it was silky like the ice cream I had today, except it wasn't cold of course.

After a long walk(I don't think she knew where she was going) we made it to a park. This park didn't have swings like the other park we went to today but rather, a park that people just walked through.

The snow covered most of the benches with a small blanket of snow. As the snowflakes fell on (F/N)'s face, it immediate melted.

"Ah, it feels just like Central Park..." She whispers.

Central Park? Where's that? I search it up and I found out that Central Park is a big park located in New York City.

"You're from New York, right?" I asked her.

She looks at me with shock. "Who told you that?"

"Hank did." Was that something she wanted to keep private?

"O-oh, haha..." she laughs nervously.

After a long silence, she decided to talk again.

"Today was a really interesting day huh?"

I think about the deviants that I didn't shoot. "Y-yeah..."

"The deviants... they looked like they were in love," she said.

I didn't know how to respond to her. But, I told her what I had in mind, "Androids cannot feel human emotions, they can only express it though,"

After the words came out of my mouth, she looked really sad and looked away from me, hiding her face from my sight.

"So, is our...friendship nothing to you? Just something you do to accomplish your mission?" There was a slight tint of pain in her voice.

"N-no, I don't mean that of course..." I then remembered the conversation I had with Amanda.

*Flashback*

I woke up and found myself in the Zen garden. Immediately, I go to find Amanda. I look around and I found Amanda on a boat with a red umbrella on her hand.

"Hello, Connor" Amanda greeted me.

I enter the little boat Amanda was sitting on.

"I thought you might enjoy a little cruise..." she said. I push us off and started to row the boat.

Amanda looks at the view. "I love this place...Everything is so calm and peaceful...Far from the noise of the world." The birds fly through the air as the leaves on the tree slowly fall off and land on the ground or the water.

She turns around and looks at me, "Tell me, what have you discovered?"

"I found two deviants at the Eden Club." I rub my hands and look away from Amanda. "I hoped to learn something but...they managed to escape."

"That's too bad." Immediately, I knew that Amanda started to distrust me. "You seemed so close to stopping them." The boat started to slow down so I started to row again.

"You seem...lost, Connor. Lost and perturbed..." Amanda said

"I thought I knew what I had to do..." I told her sincerely. "But now I realize it's not that simple..."

"You had your gun trained on those deviants at the Eden Club." I had a flashback of the two Tracies back at the Eden Club. I did have my gun at one of them, but something, no. Someone told me to not shoot them. I wanted to tell Amanda that, but I was afraid that Amanda might take me back to Cyberlife.

"Why didn't you shoot?" She asked.

"I-I don't know..." Was what came out of my mouth.

Amanda was silent for a while. "Tell me about the new girl."

"(F/N)? What about her?"

"(L/N) just started to join Anderson and you in the investigation?" I nod at Amanda.

"She's not pulling you away from the investigation, right?" I look up at her.

"Of course not." Amanda was taken aback by my response. I correct myself.

"(F/N) is actually really helpful with this investigation. She was able to find Hank on time. If she wasn't there when I went to Hank's house first, I would've wasted my time trying to look for Hank at the bars."

Amanda looked pleased with my response. "That's, good to here..."

"However," her tone changed. "if she starts to derail you away from your investigation, then we will have no choice but to take her out."

Her threat sent chills down my spine.

"I-I'm sure that she will help make progress in the investigation."

Then, a small roar was let out. Amanda looked up at the sky."Something is going to happen. Something serious."

She looks back at me. "Hurry, Connor."

*End of flashback*

I tried to word my words as carefully as I can. I wanted to tell her that everything was real, but I was afraid that she might get hurt by Cyberlife.

"It's okay, you don't have to answer me." (F/N) said. I looked at her with confusion.

She looks up at me and smiles once again, but this time, it looked different. Different than the other times.

Your POV

"N-no, I don't mean that of course..." Connor said.

I didn't know what he meant at first, but I remembered someone in particular. Someone in the game that was always giving instructions to Connor.

Amanda... I thought. Immediately, I was teleported to a really familiar place. Then, I remembered... THIS IS WHEN CONNOR IS TALKING TO AMANDA ABOUT THE EDEN CLUB!

I hid in one of the bushes and listen to their conversation. Their conversation was exactly how I remembered it. All the choices I picked were the exact same ones Connor said. However, there was one thing that was different.

"However," her tone changed. "if she starts to derail you away from your investigation, then we will have no choice but to take her out."

Me? How does Amanda know me? Does this change the story?

Suddenly, I am back with Connor at the park. He was still confused on what to say about our friendship. I didn't want him to worry about it so I just gave him a smile, even though I knew that he could tell it was fake.

He took my hand and gently squeezed it.

"Whatever I do, I promise that I will never intentionally leave you or hurt you, okay?" He looked into my eyes.

I knew he was in distress and wanted to protect me, but I knew that I needed to protect my potato too.

I nodded my head.

"Tomorrow is Monday. I think you should go home and get some sleep." Connor said. He closed his eyes for a moment.

"Your apartment is not that far away from here. Let me walk you back home."

As we walk back home, I accidentally slip on the snow(Since I'm still wearing boots) and twist my left ankle a little.

I groan in pain.

"Are you okay?"Connor immediately takes off my boot and examines my ankle.

"It's starting to turn purple. Here, let me give you a ride" He turns around, facing his back on to me. I wear my boot back on and I use my other feet to support myself and put my body on his back. He lifts me up(Which he did without any trouble) and started walking.

He must've turned the heater from his inside on because his back was getting really warm. My eyes started to get droopy and before I knew it, I fell asleep.
