The Enchanted Forest. Past.

A crowd gathers around the stage as the puppet show is in action.

The Princess Puppet swishes around, lamenting out," I wish, I wish, but nothing changes. I wish I was better at wishing! Alas, will no one slay this fearsome dragon and win my hand in marriage?"

As the crowd is engrossed in the performance, a young boy weaves through the crowd, pick-pocketing from the unsuspecting audience.

The Prince Puppet raises up it's sword as it declares out," Aha! I will slay the fearsome dragon, milady, or die trying!"

The Princess Puppet waves to the Prince Puppet," Goodbye, dear prince. It was nice knowing you!"

As the scene ends, the princess puppet is removed, and a dragon puppet is brought in in its place, growling out," Who dares disturb my sleep?"

The Prince Puppet points at any direction," Uh, he went that way!"

The Dragon Puppet declares out," Then I will go that way!"

" Very good idea. You go that way and I'll..." The performance went on throughout the day before coming to an end.

The Enchanted Forest. Past.

In the woods after the puppet show, the puppeteers Myrna and Martin and their son Jiminy; are examining their earnings

Martin yells out to his son," Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Careful, careful."

" Don't let those coins roll away." Myrana says, only for Martin to reinterpret his warning," No, they might disappear."

He performs a sleight of hand trick, making the coin disappear and "reappear" behind Myrna's ear

" Whoop, whoop, ha! Look at that." Martin laughs out.

Jiminy pulls a cricket in a cage out of a bag, letting out an excited yelp," Oh, a cricket! I love crickets."

Myrna however, disagrees," Crickets are trouble. Noisy bugs."

Jiminy argues," But they get to do whatever they want, hopping from place to place. They're free."

Myrna spoke," You're free."

" To do what we want." Martin adds.

Myrna says," To be who you are."

Martin concludes," And you are who you are."

Jiminy looks down, saying to his parents," Well maybe I want to be something else. Maybe I don't wanna steal. Maybe I wanna be good."

Martin shakes his head," All that from a cricket."

" Told ya. Trouble." Myrna says.

Martin spat out," 'Good' is another word for 'weak'."

Myrna says to Jiminy," Let us do the thinking for you."

Martin adds," That's what parents are for."

Myrna adds," To help you."

Martin concludes his sentence," You are who you are, and there's no changing it Jiminy. Right?"

" Right." Jiminy reluctantly agrees in defeat, prompting Martin to declare out," Right. Problem solved."

Storybrooke. Present day. Dr. Archie Hopper's office.

Dr. Hopper is writing during a session with Henry Mills as the boy says," You weren't always a cricket."

" I wasn't al... Oh right, because um... because you think I'm Jiminy Cricket." Archie then asks," Why... Why do you... Why do you think that Henry?"

" It's just because of who you are." Henry answers.

" And who am I?" Archie asks.

Henry answers," You're a conscience. You help people see right from wrong."

Archie the asks," So all of the crickets in Storybrooke, they were once people too?"

" There aren't any crickets here. Listen." Henry points out as he goes to the window and listens.

An owl is heard hooting, but no crickets are heard.

Archie theorises," Maybe it isn't late enough."

Henry disagrees," There's never been crickets here. You've just never noticed."

Archie asks," So you think that's proof that there's a curse?"

Henry nods," Yes, but I know it's not enough. I'm looking for more."

Archie scratches his head as he spoke to Henry," So Henry, look, I asked you this once before and you said you'd think about it. Why do you think it is so important that this is real?"

Henry simply answer with a," It... It just is."

Archie rubs the back of his head," Alright, well... Keep thinking about that answer Henry, 'cause I think there's something buried there."

Storybrooke. Present day. Storybrooke Sheriff Department.

Emma Swan and Sheriff Graham stood together, discuss the uniform and her new position as deputy sheriff.

Emma holds up the shirt and she asks," A tie? You know you don't have to dress a woman as a man to give her authority."

Graham stares at her attire sceptically," So you think you can get people to do what you want in that red coat?"

Emma defiantly throws the shirt down, speaking out," I'm getting you to do what I want right now."

Graham then offers her the badge," Well, at least wear the badge. Go on. Take it. If you really want to be a part of this community, you have to make it official."

Emma takes the badge before clipping it to her belt.

However, all of a sudden, a loud tremor shook the office briefly before loud blades of the car alarms are heard going off outside.

Instantly, all of the telephones begin to ring.

Storybrooke. Present day. Entrance to the Mines.

A crowd gathers around what appears to be a mine collapse. The Mayor, Regina Mills, exits her car and approaches the crowd as a police cruiser arrives, with Regina ordering," Everyone step back please."

Zatanna then asks," What's going on?"

" Is that a crater?" Ruby asks.

Marco looks at them and he answers," No. There were tunnels, uh, old mines, something collapsed."

Regina then ushers the crowd," Be careful, step back."

Sheriff Graham and Emma approaches, Regina instructs Graham," Sheriff, set up a police perimeter. Marco, why don't you help with the fire department?"

As Zatanna and Emma closes in, Regina says to them," Miss Swan, Miss Zatara, this is now official town business. You're free to go."

Emma protests," Well, actually I work for the town now."

Regina gives Graham a look as the Sheriff spoke up," She's my new deputy."

Regina growls," They say the mayor's always last to know."

Graham shrugs," It's in my budget."

" Indeed." She gives Graham another look, and then addresses Emma," Deputy, why don't you make yourself useful and help with crowd control?"

Regina moves past Zatanna and Emma before addressing towards the crowd," People of Storybrooke, don't be alarmed. We've always known this area was honeycombed with old mining tunnels, but fear not. I'm going to undertake a project to make this area safe, to rehabilitate it to city use. We will bulldoze it, collapse it, pave it."

As she speaks, Henry and Dr. Hopper arrives before the boy objects," Pave it? What if there's something down there?"

Regina turns behind, whispering to Henry," Henry, what are you doing here?"

Henry asked his mother in a whispering tone," What's down there?"

Regina answers," Nothing. Now step back. In fact everyone please, please step back. Thank you. Let's go boys."

After ordering out, Regina picks up a piece of glass, staring at it with a worried look. Unknown to her, Henry notices it.

Henry looks at Emma, asking," What was that?"

Regina sternly instructs Henry," Henry, enough. Listen, this is a safety issue now wait in the car."

She turns to Emma and Graham," Deputy Swan, Sheriff, cordon off the area."

As Regina turns to talk to the crowd, Henry disembarked out of his mother's car and motions to Archie and Zatanna," Hey, Archie. Zatanna. Over here."

Zatanna, Archie and Emma approaches him as Henry said," This requires all of Operation Cobra... all of you."

Archie widens his eyes in surprise," I didn't realize I was in Operation Cobra."

Henry spoke up," Of course you are, you know everything. We can't let her do this. What if there's something down there?"

Emma objects in disbelief," They're just some old tunnels."

Henry raises up a point," That just happen to collapse right after you get here? You're changing things. You're weakening the Curse."

Emma shakes her head," That's not what's happening."

Zatanna agreed," I may believe in the curse but it's too much of a coincidence."

Henry disagrees," There's no coincidence. Did you do anything different today? 'Cause something made this happen."

Emma touches her badge.

Just then, Regina steps towards them, calling out," Henry, I told you to wait in the car. Deputy, do your job. Since you're here Ms. Zatara, you might as well go help her."

As Archie starts walking away Regina stood him in his tracks," Dr. Hopper a word please?"

He approaches Regina, prompting the Mayor to say," Okay, we're done with this."

" Uh, excuse me?" Archie asks, not getting what she means.

Regina explains," My son. We need a new treatment plan. Everything I do he thinks is part of some horrible plot. I can't cover up a safety hazard without him thinking I'm hiding something. How am I hiding something terrible in an old mine? How is any of this logical to him?"

Archie says," He's got an amazing imagination."" Yes, that you let run rampant." Regina retorts accusingly.

Archie objects," Well I think it would be wrong to rip away the world he's constructed. I'd rather use it to try and get..."

However, Regina is not having it," Sometimes I think you've forgotten."

Regina growls menacingly at him," You work for me. You're an employee, and I can fire you. This is my town. You will lose your office, lose your house. I can cut you down to size until you're a tiny, shrunken little creature, and this."

She holds up his umbrella as she finishes her threat," ...will be the only roof over your damn head."

Archie reluctantly asks," What would you have me do?"

Regina answers," You take that delusion out of my son's head, and you crush it."

Enchanted Forest. Past.

An adult Jiminy and his parents arrived at a small market as Myrna ushers to her son," Come on, Jiminy. Oh, I remember this place. Looks like it's been a good year."

Martin agrees, addressing to the townsfolk," Yeah, you can tell by all the fat people."

Myrna chuckles out, before whispering," Maybe we can run the elf tonic scam here."

Having enough, Jiminy protests to his parent's idea," Oh can't we just... Can't we just put on a show? We make enough on ticket sales do we have to steal too?"

His parents looks at each other before making sounds of disgust, with Martin saying,"We don't need to, but it's nice. We steal from them and they steal from someone else."

Myrna adds," It's called an economy."

Martin boasts," We're a vital part of it."

Jiminy shakes his head, feeling conflicted over his good intentions and his parents philosophy," I want to change. I-I want to quit!"

Upon hearing that, Myrna rolls her eyes," Oh, this again."

Martin refuses," No, you can't leave now."

Myrna adds," We're getting old."

" It's my hip."" My liver."" I got lumps in strange places."" I've got burning sensations."

Jiminy's parents continues listing out their bodily symptoms before Martin spoke," You'd better stay with us."" Just until we die." Myrna adds.

Martin then instructs his son," Now, be a good boy and set up."

He and Myrna walks away and thunder crashes.

Later

Rain pours down heavily as Jiminy is busy setting up the wagon for the puppet show.

At that moment, young boy approaches, exclaiming out in surprise," Puppets! Wow! What a great job you have!"

Jiminy turns back to his task, looking at the boy. He notices how unhappy he is and he questions," You don't like it?"

Jiminy shakes his head," No, no I don't. Same show, same fairs, every year."

The boy asks," Well, then why don't you do something else?"

Jiminy explains," It's just who I am. Well, did you just come out here to watch us set up?"

Boy shakes his head," No, I came out here to listen to the crickets."

Upon hearing that, Jiminy widens his eyes," Oh, crickets."

Nostalgia fills the man as Jiminy remarks," Oh, I haven't listened to the crickets in a while. Hey, you'd better get home or you're gonna catch a cold."

" So will you. Here, have my umbrella. I don't live far." He offers his umbrella as Jiminy takes it.

As the boy beings to hurry back to his house, he shouts," I can't wait to see the show!"

Jiminy could only smile as he watches the boy leaves.

Storybrooke. Present day. Dr. Archie Hopper's office.

Archie is sitting in his office when Marco enters, greeting him pleasantly," Hey, Archie."

Archie looks up from his book, addressing the carpenter," Marco, what are you doing here?"

Marco motions to his mouth, prompting Archie to answer," Oh lunch. I'm sorry, I forgot. I've got another patient. Another time?"

Marco nods in understanding," Sure, of course." Just as Henry enters, Marco greets the boy," Hey. Have a good session, Henry."

Marco leaves the office as Archie greets the boy," Hey."

Henry then inquires," Are you recruiting Geppetto for Operation Cobra?"

Archie widens his eyes in surprise," You think Marco is Geppetto?"

Henry nods," Sure, he's Jiminy Cricket's best friend, and Marco's yours."

Having enough, Archie says to him seriously," Henry, Henry look. We... we really need to talk about this, okay?"

Henry stubbornly spoke," I know you're not convinced but I know where I can get proof."

Archie notices Henry opening up his backpack and he asks," What is this? A flashlight? And candy bars? Oh, wait. Henry. Henry you do not want to go down there."

Henry states," Emma and Zatanna are here, and stuff's happening. I have to look at it."

Archie then stops him," Henry, Henry. Stop. Stop, there is no proof. Look all of this, all of this is a delusion. Do you know what a delusion is?"

Henry nods," I... I think so."

Archie spoke out," It's something that's not real. And... and not healthy. And... and I thought you'd outgrow this but Henry, you know... know it's turned into a psychosis. Do you know what a psychosis is? That's... that's when you can no longer tell what's real and if that continues, then... then I have to lock you away. Henry, look this has to stop for your own good. You gotta wake up. This nonsense must end."

Henry gets up and leaves, feeling rather upset as he bursts out of the door.

Outside, Zatanna notices Henry leaving and she calls out," Hey Henry, how's it..." She didn't get to finish as she watches Henry run off.

Zatanna stares at him in confusion before looking at Archie, demanding out," What did you do?"

Storybrooke. Present day. Storybrooke General Hospital.

Mary Margaret Blanchard is seated down, playing hangman with David Nolan, which currently reads _AR_ _AR_AR_ _.

Mary Margaret guesses out," I don't know. 'M'?"

David nods," Two of them." He writes a letter "m" on the first space and another on the fifth before asking the teacher," Get it yet?"

Mary Margaret widens her eyes in surprise and she nods," Yes, and I'm completely mortified. I almost hanged on my own name."

David assures her while laughing," Don't worry, I would never have let you hang. I would've added toes and a hat. Maybe a horse."

Mary asks him," Was this a game you played a lot before?"

David replies," I don't know.

Mary assures him," It'll come back. They're sending you home in a week. They have to think you're progressing, don't they?"

David nods," Physically."

Mary Margaret then spoke," Well, you're making new memories just fine."

David smiles at her," Maybe I'll like these better."

Mary Margaret smiles back, touched by his words as she asks," Okay, play again?"

Just then, Kathryn Nolan enters, carrying a box of photos as she interrupts the two," Can I guess, too?"

Mary Margaret looks up, stuttering nervously," Mrs. Nolan. Oh, it's noon already. I didn't realize. I should go."

She exits as Kathryn bids her farewell," Good day, Miss Blanchard."

She then turns to David, showing him the box as she said," Honey, I brought more pictures. Maybe they'll jog something."

David watches Mary Margaret leave as Kathryn takes out a picture of a dog, saying," It's our old dog, Ajax. Remember?"

David turns his attention back to Kathryn, nodding," Yeah, yeah. Ajax."

Storybrooke. Present day. The Blanchard loft.

Mary Margaret is talking with Emma as they are making s'mores with Mary saying,

" Well, it sure was easy juggling things with David and the school after Zatanna began working as a substitute teacher."

Emma agreed," Yeah. Heard she even took Henry to his therapy sessions recently."

Mary suddenly sighs out in exasperation, prompting Emma to ask," You wanna talk about it?"

Mary Margaret throws her hands up as she declares out," I am the worst person in the world."

Emma raises an eyebrow," Really? In the whole world?"

Mary Margaret explains," If Kathryn was horrible, it would be easier, but she's so nice."

Emma inquires," And what exactly would be easier?"

Mary shakes her head, answering her question," Nothing."

Emma nods in approval," Nothing's a good idea. You're smart. You know not to get involved with a married guy. It's not worth the heartache. Trust me."

Just then, there was a knock at the door, prompting Emma to walk towards it," I'll get it."

Upon opening it, she was met with an unexpected surprise.

Outside stood Henry, sobbing out hysterically as Emma asks him in concern," Kid, what happened? Come in."

Storybrooke. Present day. Dr. Hopper's Office.

At the same time, Archie is seated down, stroking Pongo as Zatanna sat across him with her arms crossed.

Archie then asks," Well, are you gonna sit here all day or are you gonna talk Ms. Zatara."

Zatanna then spoke out," You told me and Emma not to take the fantasy away. You told me it would devastate him."

Archie wipes his glasses and he explains," When a course of therapy stops working, you adjust it."

" Adjust it? What for? Henry is not delusional or crazy? What reason do you have to change your methods?" Zatanna questions out.

Archie shakes his head," I don't have a choice. I cannot keep entertaining all this...fantasy...all this...nonsense."

Zatanna narrows her eyes as she probes the psychiatrist," Is it her? Did she threaten you? What could be strong enough to drown out your own conscience?"

Archie spoke out defensively," I do not need to defend my professional decisions to you, okay?"

" Really?" Zatanna scoffs out," So it is a professional decision to hurt a boy emotionally?"

" Then what about you?!" Archie questions back," You have been going around acting like you actually believe him. Aren't you basically lying as well?"

" I'm not lying." Zatanna shakes her head,
" I actually believe him because I believe in happy endings and I will stand by him no matter what others think of him. He thinks you are Jiminy Cricket right? Well, I'm willing to bet that Cricket didn't tell Gepetto everything like that even though most people think turning a puppet into a boy is impossible."

Right at that moment, Zatanna's cell phone begins to ring. She answers it," Hello? Oh Emma, what is it?"

As Zatanna listens, she answer," Uh no. I am at Dr. Hopper's office. No I haven't seen Henry. I thought he was with you?"

Archie listens in as Zatanna spoke through her phone," Well what about Regina? Did you drop him off?"

" I did. But Regina just called me, telling me he's not there." Emma's voice answer through to the other side of the line, causing Zatanna's eyes to widen.

Shocked at the news, Zatanna questions back to Emma," If you don't know where he is, Regina don't know where he is and I don't know where he is. Where could he go?"

Archie sighs out and he answers Zatanna's question," I do."

Storybrooke. Present day.

Henry is standing in front of the mines where the tunnel collapse occurred earlier, and enters.

Enchanted Forest. Past. The Dark castle.

Rumplestiltskin is at his spinning wheel, spinning straw into gold when Jiminy enters, carrying a small bag.

Rumplestiltskin chuckles out upon receiving his merchandise," Thank you very much. And the names? To whom did these treasures belong?"

Jiminy takes out a small piece of parchment and places it on top of the bag. Rumplestiltskin hands him some of the gold he has just spun as payment," Gold thread, for your thievery. Thank you, you can go."

Just as Jiminy begins walking towards the exit, Rumplestilskin adds," But you want something else, don't you?"

As he continues speaking, he pours a potion on another gold thread, melting it and putting it into a little bottle before holding it up, finishing his sentence," Something with... magic?"

Jiminy pouts," Every year, I'm stuck in that damn wagon. I wanna be free. I wanna be someone else. But something keeps holding me back."

" Something or someone?" Rumplestilskin asks. Jiminy looks down and he answers," It's my parents."

Rumplestiltskin declares out," Then I have exactly what you need."

He then offers Jiminy the potion he has just created, briefing to him," This will set you free. Pour it, sprinkle it, put it in their curds and whey. Anything will work."

Jiminy reaches for the bottle, only for Rumplestiltskin to grab it back," Ah! But you have nothing more to give to me."

He chuckles out before saying," Tell you what...after the potion has... done its work, leave them where they are and I'll come collect them. It'll be my fee!"

Jiminy then asks," What will become of them?

Rumplestiltskin assures the man," Worry you not, they'll be in safe hands. And you'll be free."

He hands Jiminy the potion and Jiminy exits, leaving the castle.

Storybrooke. Present day.

In front of the mines. Archie and Zatanna are looking for Henry when Emma runs up towards them, asking," Did you see where he go?"

Zatanna points at the mines, answering her sister's question," I think he went in there."

Emma then calls out," Henry! Henry!"

" Henry!" Archie calls out.

Pongo enters and runs to the entrance into the mines, sniffing as Archie asks," What you got there, Pongo?"

Pongo answers by barking, prompting Archie, Zatanna and Emma to look down through the mine.

Storybrooke. Present day.

Inside the mines. Henry, flashlight in hand, explores the area when he notices a mysterious shard of glass among the stones.

He picks it up and examines it when all of a sudden, he hears the gravel rustling.

He looks up, his eyes widens in horror just as an avalanche of rocks began crumbling down, forcing him to retreat.

Outside

At the same time outside the mines, the ground began shaking, causing Emma, Zatanna, Archie and Pongo to stumble.

Realising the danger the boy might be in, Archie calls out," Henry! It's not safe!"

Archie climbs into the collapsing mine to find Henry, shocking both Emma and Zatanna," Archie?! Henry!"

Storybrooke. Present day.

Inside the mines. Archie lights a match, picks up his lucky umbrella, and proceeds to look for Henry, calling out through the dark tunnels," Henry? Henry?"

Suddenly, Henry comes out with the flashlight shining on Archie, the boy exclaiming out," Archie! You're here to help me!"

Archie begs," No, I... Listen, we gotta get out of here."

" So you're still against me." Henry bitterly states.

Archie urges," Henry, there's no time for that. Come on, Henry, come on!"

Henry backs away from him, saying,
" You don't believe me? You'll see. You'll see."

Henry runs away from Archie, prompting him to yell out," Henry! Henry!Come back!"

Archie turns to look towards the exit before reluctantly turning back chasing after Henry through the mines, shouting," Hey!"

The Enchanted Forest. Past.

Jiminy, Martin and Myrna walks towards a house, preparing to cheat people for money.

Jiminy stops at the door and turn to his parents, attempting to dissuade them from their swindling," Look, can't we skip this tonight? We don't need the money!"

Myrna says to him," Everything isn't about money, Jiminy. It's about the principle."

Martin produce a small bottle of liquid appears in his hand, speaking," A commitment to excellence."

" Excellence... at stealing money. " Myrna finishes.

Martin instructs his son," Now and take the "elf tonic", Jiminy."

Jiminy reluctantly takes the bottle while Martin and Myra laughs together in unison.

Myrna gives the door a knock and a young couple, Stephen and Donna, answer the door.

Myrna falsely compliments the pair," Oh! Such beautiful young people."

Jiminy asks them," Pardon me. Do you have a place at your hearth for an honest man and his..."

He pauses hesitantly to look at his parents before turning back to the couple, finishing his sentence,"...elderly parents?"

Stephen nods, welcoming the family," Of course. Come in."

Donna adds," I'll heat up some broth."

As they enters the house, Myrna remarks out,
" Oh, we love broth."

Martin comments about the interior of the house," Oh, what a beautiful jome!"

Myrna compliments their clothesYour cobbles are so even!"

Inside the house, Donna hands Jiminy a bowl of broth as the man thanks him," Thank you for your kindness."

Myrna turns to Martin expressing out," I just can't get it out of my mind, that family."

Martin shakes his head," Terrible way to go."

Myrna cries out," Oh."

Donna sat down at the table as she notices the way the old couple is acting, asking," What? What happened?"

Martin and Myrna looks at each other then to the couple, answering in unison," Plague."

Donna gasps and turns to Stephen as Myrna lies," The next town over, we just passed through."

" The plague?!" Donna exclaims out in horror.

Myrna nods," Well, a plague, certainly."

Stephen questions out, worries," Is it coming here? Are you okay?"

Martin shakes his head," Oh, us, no, we are immune."

Myrna adds," We have the elf tonic.

Martin adds up," Made by elves, from elves."

Myrna lies," Four out of five court physicians recommend it."

" Fifth one died before he could try it." Martin laughs out.

Myrna then asks," Well, you have it, right? Smart folks like you."

Donna however, denies," We've never heard of it."

Upon hearing that, Myrna exclaims out in false distress," Oh no."

Martin shakes his head in fake pity," Oh dear god."

Jiminy exclaims out in horror," Oh no, you're going to die. You're going to die."

Myrna sighs out," Oh, I wish we had extra." Only for Martin to say," We don't have extra."

Jiminy adds," There is no extra."

Donna tried to persuade them," We could pay you."

Martin says," We have a tiny bottle."

Myrna insists," But we need that for ourselves."

Determined to survive a non-existing plague, Stephen offers out," What can we give you?"

Donna agrees," Surely there must be something here you would want."

Myrna sly answers," I'm sure we can come up with something"

Soon

Martin puts three coins along with a few other items into a bag and flings it onto his shoulders as his wife says to him,

" Well, I guess we should start loading up."

As Martin and Myrna leaves the house, Jiminy hands the bottle to the couple,
" Here you go."

Stephen takes the bottle from him as the couple thanks him in unison," Thank you."

Jiminy turns around, leaving the house with his face full of regret.

The Enchanted Forest. Past.

Besides their wagon, Martin and Myrna puts the bags of goods onto it, loading up the wagon as Jiminy reprimands his parents," Hey, those are good people. They would never hurt us like that."

Myrna shamelessly say," That's where they went wrong."

Martin adds," It's better to be the kind of people that take."" Instead of those that get taken from." Myrna finishes.

Having enough of his parents shameless attitude, Jiminy takes out the bottle of potion from Rumplestilskin, apologising to them quietly," I'm sorry. You've given me no other choice."

Jiminy throws the potion to his parents but nothing happens

Myrna looks back and she laughs out," How frail do you think we are, son?"

" Rainwater won't hurt us." Martin agrees.

Horrified, Jiminy looks at the bottle as Martin explains," I'm pretty good at a sleight of hand, Jiminy."

Everything suddenly dawns on Jiminy as he exclaims out," You switched them?"

He then looks back to the house, whispering,
" So this is the elf tonic."

Martin exclaims out," Oh my! We must have given whatever you had to that family."

Myrna adds," Oh, hope it wasn't dangerous."

Realising what he had done, Jiminy runs back into the house.

Bursting into the house, Jiminy finds the bottle of poison on the ground used already at the door

Jiminy picks up the bottle and looks behind the doo, seeing two puppet dolls that looks like Stephen and Donna lying on the bed.

Jiminy fell onto the chair, horrified by his mistake as both Martin and Maryn enters the house.

Upon noticing the puppets,Martin remarks out," Ohh, look at that."" New puppets for the act." Myrna agrees.

Suddenly, a boy enters the house, shocked to see the trio inside.

Jiminy looks in horror and shame.

The boy is the very same boy who gave him the umbrella the night before!

The Boy looks at Martin and Myrna, asking them," Who are you?"

Jiminy sees the boy and shakes his head with regret as the Boy sees the puppets on the bed, his eyes filled with sadness and horror," Papa? Mama? Papa!"

He turns to Jiminy, questioning him in an accusing tone," What did you do to them? What did you do to them?"

Storybrooke. Present. Mine

Inside the mines, Archie scouts the tunnel, searching for Henry as he calls out," Henry? Henry? Henry! Henry!"

He then sees a light in front and finds Henry shining the flashlight at a gap on the ground, saying to him," Henry! You gotta slow."

Henry points out," There's something shiny down there."

Archie tried to warn him," Henry, this is seriously dangerous. We gotta get out of here."

" It could be something." Henry states.

Archie anxiously exclaims to Henry," Look, I'm frightened for you, Henry."

Henry pouts," Because you think that I'm crazy?"

Archie shakes his head, terrified," No! No, because we are trapped underground in an abandoned mine, Henry, and there is no way out."

Outside

Meanwhile, at the entrance of the mine, Pongo let's out a bark as Zatanna, Regina, Emma, Graham, Marco, and Ruby gather around. The group watching a group of workers attempting to open the entrance.

Marco faithfully assures Regina," Archie is smart. He'll keep the boy safe until we get to that."

Just then, the ground begins to shake, prompting Marco to yell out," Watch out!"

Regina runs towards Emma, shouting at her," Stop! Stop! You're making it worse."

Emma argues," I am trying to save him. You know what, he wouldn't have gone in the first place, don't you? Because you made him feel like he had something to prove!"

Regina snarls," And why does he think he has anything to prove? Who's encouraging him?"

Emma growls," Do not put this on me."

Regina haughtily groans," Oh please, lecture me until the oxygen has run out."

She then turns and walks away.

Inside

Inside the mines, Archie heard the sound of barking, causing him to ask, " Henry, do you hear that?"

Henry immediately recognised the sound,
" It's Pongo!"

Archie quickly instucts him," Follow the noise."

Outside

At the entrance, Emma and Regina are busy arguing when Zatanna steps in between them, breaking the two up," Hey hey! As much as I would like to join in. Don't forget Henry is still down there. So rather than arguing, I suggest you two put aside this feud and help me."

Regina sighs out in defeat as she admits," I hate to admit it but you have a point Ms. Zatara. Alright."

She turns to look at Emma as she says,
" Come on Ms. Swan. It's time we work together."

Emma asks," What do you want me to do?"

Regina answers with a," Help me." Prompting Emma to nod.

Inside

Inside the mines, Archie follows the sound of Pongo's barking and he calls out to Henry,
" It's loud. It's over here."

He removes a sheet of metal on his way revealing what seems to be an old elevator.

Curious, Henry asks," What's this?"

Archie looks at it and he answers," It's like, an old elevator."

Outside

At the outside of the mine, Regina suggests," We need to find someway to punch through the ground. We need something big."

" Like what?" Emma inquires. Causing Marco to answer," Explosives."

Inside

Inside the mines, Archie steps towards the elevator, explaining to Henry," To get the mine workers in or out. It goes all the way to the top. That's why we can hear Pongo."

Henry inquires," Can we make it work?"

Archie answers," Let's give it a shot."

Outside

Outside at the entrance, Zatanna hides away as the explosives are ready.

Emma then calls out," Okay, we're all clear."

Inside

Back in the mines, Archie tries to turn the wheel of the elevator, urging out," Come on!"

Henry rushes forward to assist Archie.

Outside

Outside at the entrance, Regina promptly gives the order," Blow it."

Everyone quickly ducks to the side to find cover.

Inside

Inside the mines, the elevator starts to move a bit just as there was an explosion at the entrance.

The impact causes the elevator to shake, causing Archie holds Henry tight. The elevator drops a bit.

Outside

Outside, both Zatanna and Emma runs into the smoke caused by the explosion.

After a while both Zatanna and Emma emerges as Regina asks," Did it work?"

Zatanna shakes her head," It didn't open."

" Then what did it do?" Graham asks.

Storybrooke. Present. Storybrooke General Hospital.

Meanwhile at the hospital, Mary Margaret is about to leave for the day when all of a sudden, David calls out to her," Hey, where're you going?"

Mary Margaret answers," Home. I'm done for the day. Shouldn't you be resting?"

David rubs the back of his head," Actually, Dr. Whale asks me to start physical therapy. I'm supposed to walk thirty minutes a day on a treadmill outside with an escort. But they are kind of short on personnel because of that thing that happened in the mine."

" Oh." That was all Mary Margaret could say as
David says," So... Maybe there is a volunteer willing to help?"

Soon, both David and Mary Margaret are walking along the lake, with David remarking out," I try to remember this place. It's like, it's like I woke up on some strange land."

Mary Margaret pauses as she asks David,
" Is there anything coming back? What about when you're with her? You remember your dog."

David simply answered with a," Yeah, I lied."

Mary Margaret widens her eyes," You did?"

David explains,
" She's so lovely. I didn't want to disappoint her. But none of it feels right. A dog named Ajax? Who'd name a dog that?"

Mary Margaret smiles as David continues," None of it make sense. None of it, none of it feels real."

Mary Margaret remarks," That sounds so lonely."

David however, disagrees,
" Actually, one thing does feel real, you."

" What?" Mary Margaret looks up as David spoke," I know it's crazy, but I swear, you're the only thing in this whole place that feels, that feels right."

Feeling happy, Mary Margaret began closing in onto David, only for him to stop her

" Kathryn."Mary Margaret lowers her head, nodding in understanding of David's words,
" Right."

But to her surprise, David walks passes Mary Margaret while saying," Kathryn."

Mary Margaret then turns around, seeing Kathryn standing there.

" You're here." That was all David could say.

Kathryn says," I know it's outside of visiting hours. But I needed to see you."

She hands a basket to David, finishing her sentence," I made some cranberry muffins. They used to be your favorite."

Mary Margaret stands up and she says," Well, I should leave you two."

She then starts walking away.

At that moment, David chases after her, shouting out," Wait, Mary Margaret, see you tomorrow?"

Mary Margaret turns back then smiles and continues walking away.

Mine

Back at the entrance, Regina runs up to the workers, angrily shouting at the workers," What was that? What the hell was that? You said you could do this."

Emma steps forward, trying to calm the mayor down," Madame Mayor."

Regina accuses out," They could have killed my son."

Emma reasons," I know. But this isn't helping."

" If we knew exactly where they were, we could drill down to them." Marco states.

Just then, Pongo began barking, catching both Emma and Zatanna's attention. Prompting the two to run towards the fire truck.

At the same time, the residents are still in the midst of discussion with
Marco saying," Maybe, maybe make something to bring them back up."

Graham suggests," A driller."

Regina asks," What do you think we..."

Before Regina could finish her sentence, Emma opens the fire truck's door and let Pongo out, calling out to the trio," It's Archie's dog."

As Pongo began sniffing the ground, Zatanna points out," He's found something. Look, this is where they must be. What is it?"

Graham and Marco removes a metal covering and a hole blocked grate bars is shown.

Curious, Emma asks," What is that?"

" It's an air shaft." Graham answers

Inside

Inside the elevator of the mines, Henry apologises to Archie, feeling ashamed of the trouble he got then into," I'm really, really, really sorry."

" It's alright." Archie assures him as Henry explains," I just wanted to find proof."

Archie shakes his head as he apologises to him," No, it's really alright, Henry. You know, I'm sorry too. Okay, I don't think you're crazy. I just, I just say to you that you got a very strong mother, who's got a clear idea of a path that she wants you to be on. When you step off that, she, she is scared. You know, it's natural. But, it's also natural for you to be able to be free, to think the things that you want to think. So, anyway, I didn't mean those things I just said to you. I never should have said them."

Henry asks," Alright, why did you?"

Archie sighs out," I guess I'm still not a right person. I'm not the man I wanna be."

The elevator suddenly began shaking as outside at air shaft, the workers remove the metal grate, prompting Emma to exclaim," Alright, we got it."

Emma, Zatanna, Regina and Graham look down to the deep shaft as the Mayor asks," So, what's next?"

Inside

Henry says to Archie," I think you can be him. I think you can be a good person. I mean, you're Jiminy Cricket."

Archie however, stops him," Henry, Henry, Jiminy Cricket was a, was a cricket, okay? It was a conscience, and, and I hardly think that's me."

Henry disagrees," But before he was that, he was a guy, who took a long time to figure out the right thing to do."

Archie pauses for a while, realising the similarities he has with the character," He kinda sounds like me."

" Now it's harder for you, because of the curse, to care for the voice inside of you, to be who you wanna be." Henry states.

At that moment, the elevator began shaking again.

Outside

Outside at air shaft, Marco said to the group," We need to lower someone straight down, or the line would collapse with the sides of the shaft."

Graham held up the harness, stating," I've got the harness."

Regina steps up," Lower me down." Only for Emma to object," Oh, no way. I'm going."

Regina protests," He's my son."

Emma strongly states," He's my son too. You've been sitting behind your desk for ten years. I can do this."

" She's right you know." Zatanna agrees.

Reluctantly, Regina steps back, instructing Emma," Just bring him to me."

Inside

Inside the elevator of the mines, a few stones drop to the elevator.

Archie then ask Henry," Hey, can I ask you again?"" Of course." " Why do you think it's so important that your, your fairytale theory is true?" Archie inquires only for Henry to answer with a," I don't know,"

" Give it a shot." Archie suggests.

Henry hands Archie a chocolate bar as he answers," Cause, this can't be all there is."

" I understand." Archie nods, understanding where Henry is going.

" I thought if I've found proof... But I didn't find anything." Henry said.

Archie however, disagrees," That's not true. I was lost when you found me, right?" He smiles as he hands a piece of chocolate to Henry.

" You mean, you remember?" Henry questions, looking up only for Archie to shake his head," No, I don't remember. But I do remember that I'm a person I wanna be."

Right at that moment, some noises erupts from the top, shocking the pair.

" What's that?"" It's a rescue." Archie answers the boy's question.

Archie's answer was rewarded when Emma appears lowering from the top, asking them," You guys okay?"

Archie nods," Yeah, we're both okay."

" Hang on, Henry." She spoke to the walkie-talkie," Okay, let's get a stop."

Emma removes the roof of the elevator and grabs Henry, who is hed up by Archie, while urging him," Come on, I got you. Okay."

She looks down, saying to Archie," I got him."

Archie instructs her,
" You get him to safe..."

But before he could finish his sentence, the elevator starts to rumble.

" Archie!" Emma cries out as Archie cries out in terror," It's gonna fall!"

Emma apologises to him," I'm sorry."

Archie assures her," It's okay."

Both Emma and Henry screams out to him in unison," Archie!"

The elevator falls with a loud noise. But Archie is seen in safety becuse his umbrella has hooked onto a carabiner on Emma's trousers.

Emma laughs with relieve and Henry holds up a thumbs-up signal, signalling Zatanna and the workers you pull them up.

Outside

Outside at air shaft, the crowd all clap their hands as Marco and other workers pull out Emma, Henry and Archie.

Regina hugs and pull Henry away while Zatanna checks on Emma.

At the same time, Archie and Marco hug each other with joy.

Emma rushes towards Henry, asking him in concern," Are you okay, Henry?"

However, before Henry could answer, Regina shoves Emma away, ordering her," Deputy, you can clear the crowd away."

Emma watches unwillingly as Henry is taken away as Regina walk towards Archie, thanking him," Thank you, Dr. Hopper."

Archie however, did not return her gratitude," I, uh, I have something to say."

Marco leaves and Regina follows Archie.

Once the pair are alone, Archie spoke," I'm gonna continue to treat Henry and I'm gonna do it my way."

Angered at what she heard, Regina growls," My relieve at his safety hasn't change a thing, Dr. Hopper. You will do as I say, or you...

Archie however, is no longer intimidated by her threats," Or what? You'll ruin my life? You'l do your worse? Because I will always do my best."

Regina growls at him threateningly," Don't test me."

However, Archie is not a least bit intimidated by her," Oh, I don't need to, because you're gonna leave me along and let me do my work, in peace."

Regina asks," Really? Why is that?"

Archie vows, venom dripping in his voice as he spoke to her defiantly," Because someday, Madame Mayor, you may find yourself in a custody battle. And you know how a court determines who's a fit parent? They consult an expert, particularly one who has treated the child. So, I suggest that you think about that and you'll allow me to do my work and let me do it the way my conscience tell me to."

Archie then turns to leave, leaving a Regina seething in anger.

The Enchanted Forest. Past.

Jiminy is listening to crickets chirping alone, still saddened by the events that happened.

Just then, Jiminy sees a blue star in the sky. Knowing what it meant, he closes his eyes as he whispers out," I wish...I wish..."

Right at that moment, there was a flash of light, surprising Jiminy.

Jiminy looks up, finding two figures standing in front of him. One is a tall man cladded in a tuxedo and the second one is a young girl, no older than eight dressed in a gown.

Jiminy widens his eyes in surprise, exclaiming out," No way...you're Zatara...the great magician!"

Zatara nods as Jiminy looks at the girl, acknowledging her," And that must be your daughter, Zatanna."

Zatanna smiles back at him.

Zatara then asks him," My dear boy, what is it you have summoned us for?"

Jiminy requests," Zatara. You are the greatest magician of all time. I have done something terribly wrong and I only wish you can turn that boy's parents back to the way they are."

However, Zatara simply shakes his head sadly, saying," I'm sorry but it is not possible. I cannot bring back the boy's parents."

Jiminy shakes his head in shame," It's my fault. I have to make it right. I... I will trade my life to make it happen."

Zatara however, shakes his head," What's done is done. But there may be another way."

" Tell me, please." Jiminy begs.

Zatara explains," The little boy, he will grow up to face many challenges. Do you want to help him?"

Jiminy twiddled his fingers," Um, I can't get away from these people, my parents, they're who I am."

Zatara then says," No, they are not. You are who you are as a person. It's your decision to make, not yours. Now, what would you like to be?"

Jiminy pauses and hears the chirping of the crickets, before he answers," I would like to be a Cricket."

Zatara smiles," Then your wish shall be granted."

Zatara twirls his hands, summoning a sphere of magic as he releases it, engulfing Jiminy in a blue sphere of light.

Jiminy's body began glowing before transforming into a cricket.

Jiminy looks at himself, letting out a laugh as he admires his new body.

" How do you feel?" Zatara asks as Jiminy Cricket chirps," Free."

" Find the boy, Jiminy. You will live as many years as you need to help him. Just find him." Zatara instructs him.

Jiminy Cricket asks," How will I? I don't even know his name."

Zatara smiles as the magician answers," His name, is Gepetto."

Storybrooke. Present. Mine

Back at the mine, Emma and Henry watches Archie and Marco chatting happily.

Emma then asks," Is that Archie's father?"

Henry shakes his head," No, they are just old friends."

Emma looks at him, her eyes filled with worry,
" You really scared me."

Henry looks down, apologising to her,
" I'm sorry."

Archie and Marco are about to leave just as Zatanna turns around, prompting Emma to ask her," Hey, where are you going?"

Zatanna answers," To the pawnshop. There's something I need to get."

" Oh okay. See you back at the house."Emma bids Zatanna farewell as the magician leaves.

Emma looks at Henry, urging him," Well, come on, your mom wants to take you home."

Right at that moment, Henry shouts to Archie," Hey! Listen!"

The area began erupting in the chirping sound of crickets as Archie breathes out,
" Crickets."

" They are back." Henry turns to Emma, saying to her in an optimistic tone," Things are changing."

Storybrooke. Present. Mr. Gold's pawnshop

In Mr. Gold's pawnshop, Mr. Gold walks pass the pair of puppets on the desk.

Storybrooke. Present day. Storybrooke General Hospital.

At the same time, Mary Margaret puts her letter of resignation into the mailbox at he counter before walking away, leaving the hospital.

Storybrooke. Present. Mine

Outside the mine, the worker and the crowd chat and drink to celebrate as Regina takes out the piece of glass she picked up earlier that day before throwing it down to an air shaft.

The piece of glass keeps falling until it hits the ground near a glass coffin

Storybrooke. Present. Mr. Gold's Pawnshop

As Mr. Gold is about to close his shop, just then, he saw Zatanna rushing forward, shouting to him," Wait! Hold on!"

Surprised, Mr. Gold held the door open as he greets Zatanna," Ah. Ms. Zatara. To what do I owe the pleasure?"

Zatanna answers, by making a request," I know that you are about to close but I haven't really been to your shop so is it okay if I can take a look?"

Mr. Gold opened the door, welcoming her inside," Of course."

Zatanna steps into the shop, surveying the loads of goods before stopping in front of a pair of puppets.

As she stares at it, Mr. Gold explains," Ah. A fine eye Ms. Zatara. A couple of old antique puppets from the 1940s. Quite a rare find. Interested?"

Zatanna turns to him, nodding," Uh...yeah. How much for these puppets?"

Later. Marco's Workshop

As Marco is busy closing his workshop, just then, he heard a knock on his door.

Marco turns around, his eyes widens in surprise as he saw Zatanna standing at the door.

" Ms. Zatara. What are you doing here?"

" Nothing much, just here to give you a gift." Zatanna smiles as she gives him the two puppets she purchased at the shop.
