The Enchanted Forest, Present, Beanstalk

Emma looks up at the beanstalk and she remarks," It's a little freakier than I remember from the story."

" Reminds me of death." Mulan states, attracting a look from Mary Margaret.

" Encouraging." She comments out.

Captain Hook turns to the group and he asks," Well, your compass awaits. Shall we?"

" Wait. If these beans...create...portals, why not just pick one and go home? Why the compass?" Zatanna asks and Hook explains," Because there aren't any more beans. Whatever story you think you know, my dear, is most certainly wrong."

Emma remembers the story of Jack and The Beanstalk and she says to Captain Hook," There was a guy named Jack and a cow and something about an evil giant with a treasure and a golden goose. Or harp."

" Sounds like a lovely tale, but the truth's a little bit more gruesome." Captain Hook explains," The giants grew the beans, but rather than use them for good, they used them to plunder all the lands. Jack was a man who fought a terrible war, defeating all but one of the evil giants. The beans were destroyed by the giants as they died. If they couldn't have their magic, then nobody could. It's really very bad form."

Emma then asks," Evil giants who made magic portal beans? Why doesn't anyone just go up and grow some more?"

Captain Hook answers," Because one giant survived... the strongest and most terrible of them all. And we'll have to get past him to..."

" The magic compass." Mary Margaret finishes his sentence and the Pirate Captain nods," Indeed. The treasure remains, and amongst it is the compass. Now it will guide us to your land. Cora has the means to open a portal with the wardrobe ashes, but she can't find your land without the compass. Once we get it, steal the ashes from her, and we're on our way."

Mulan however, is not convinced and she questions Captain Hook," How do we know you're not just using us to get the compass for Cora?"

" Because you four are far safer company. All I need is a ride back. I'll swear allegiance to whomever gets me there first." Captain Hook says to which Milo warns," Then you better not try anything."

" Oh trust me, I wouldn't dare." Captain Hook assures.

Determined to get back to Storybrooke, Emma declares out," Then we'd better start climbing."

Captain Hook agrees," Right. So...I failed to mention that the giant enchanted the beanstalk to repel intruders."

" All right, so how do we get up there?" Zatanna asks and Captain Hook answers," I've got a counter spell from Cora, if you'd be so kind."

Mary Margaret frees his hands and Captain Hook thanks her," Thank you, milady. I've got one more of these. Cora was to accompany me. So... which one of you four lovelies shall take her place? Hmm? Go on. Fight it out. Don't be afraid to, you know, really get into it."

The Land Without Magic, Past, Portland, Oregon.

Emma exits a building, checks to see if anybody is watching her, breaks into a car and steals it.

As she drives away, Emma suddenly hear a voice from the backseat of the car," Impressive."

Emma screams in fright and she turns, seeing a man behind her, smiling," But really, you could've just asked me for the keys. Just drive. It's fine."

Panting, Emma says to him," I just stole your car. Your life could be in danger."

The man simply introduces himself," Neal Cassidy."

" Yeah, I'm not telling you my name." Emma says but simply tells her," No, I don't need it to have you arrested when the robbery's in progress."

Emma reluctantly introduces herself," Emma. Swan."

" Good name." Neal compliments and Emma asks him," So do you just live in here, or are you just waiting for the car to be stolen?"

Neal simply replies with another question," Why don't I tell you over drinks?"

" Excuse me?" Emma turns to look at him and unknowingly runs a stop sign, causing Neal to cry out in shock," Hey! Eyes on the road."

Emma didn't  listen and she angrily spat," I am not having drinks with you. You might be a pervert."

" I might be a pervert, but you're definitely a car thief." Neal retorts and Emma says," I said I was sorry."

" You didn't, actually." Neal says.

At that moment, the pair hears the sound of police sirens and Neal exclaims," Oh."

Emma realizes what has happened and she curses out," Damn it."

" That's why I said, "eyes on the road." Screwdriver." Neal instructs and Emma gives him the screwdriver and he puts in the keys.

Emma pulls over and at that moment, a Police Officer goes up to her, asking," License and registration."

Emma simply smiles awkwardly," Hi."

Luckily, Neal steps in and he apologizes to the police officer," Terribly sorry, officer, but this is actually my car. I'm... I'm trying to, uh, teach my girlfriend how to drive stick."

The Police Officer then comments to Neal about Emma running the red light," She's got a lot to learn."

" I know. But, you know... women." Neal comments out, causing Emma to look at him.

The Police Officer nods and he chose not to press charges," All right, I hear you. It's a warning... this time."

" Yeah. Thank you so much." Neal thanks the Police Officer.

As the cop leaves, Emma turns him and she angrily questions his misogynistic remark," What are you, some sort of a misogynist?"

" You're welcome. Oh, go. We got lucky." Neal says and upon hearing that, Emma questions," "We"? This isn't your car either, is it?"

" Hmm?"

It suddenly dawns on Emma and she gasps out in the relevation," I stole a stolen car?"

Neal smiles and he asks her," Now how about that drink?"

The Enchanted Forest, Present, Beanstalk

At the beanstalk, Captain Hook watches as the five women argues over who should go as he turns to Kanna and Milo next to him," Are they always like this?"

" Usually." Kanna nods.

Mulan argues," All due respect, I'm the best-equipped to go. How many wars have you been through?"

" My share." Mary Margaret retorts.

Princess Aurora volunteered," It should be me."

Mulan stares at Princess Aurora," You? You haven't fought in a battle."

" This is about us getting home to our loved ones. Why would you..." Mary Margaret questions and Princess Aurora explains," Because I have no loved ones. If I fail, you can still go on."

Emma then volunteers," It's me. I'm going, and I'm not gonna fail."

Mary Margaret objects to her daughter's decision," You're new here."

" It's about getting back to Henry. I don't care what I have to face. You're not gonna argue with me?" Emma questioned.

" Would it do any good?" Mary Margaret asks, knowing her daughter's personality enough to know not to argue with her.

Zatanna then insists," Actually I should go. I have magic, I'm the most suited to deal with the Giant or Hook in case he tries anything.

" Hey." Captain Hook looks at her, offended.

Emma goes up to Zatanna and she pleads," Zatanna, please, let me do this for Henry."

" You are. You're surviving for him. You're his mother Emma, I can't let anything happen to you."

Milo steps in and then agrees," You know she's right. While Mulan can fight with swords and Snow with arrows, Zatanna is the best one around here to deal with the threats like giants."

Kanna then adds," But the real question is what about Cora? Zatanna is the only one who can deal with her. Without her, what can we do against Cora should she find us?"

Mulan goes up and she holds up a bag," This...powder made from poppies. It will be useful."

Zatanna then asks Mulan," Your sword... how strong is it?"

" The most powerful blade in all the realms." Mulan answers.

Zatanna points at the beanstalk and she asks," Is it strong enough to cut through that beanstalk?"

Mulan nods," Indeed."

Zatanna then instructs her," Give me ten hours. If I'm not back, you cut it down and keep going."

Mulan looks at Mary Margaret and Emma and she says to Zatanna," I'm not sure your sister and Snow would like that."

Zatanna then says," That's why I'm asking you. If I don't get back, you get Emma and Snow home."

At that moment, Captain Hook announces to the group," Ladies. In this world, we are slaves to time. And ours is running out. In other words, tick-tock."

Zatanna approaches Hook and puts out her hand, causing Captain Hook to comment out disappointingly," As flattered as I am, I kind of hoping to go with your sister."

" Just get on with it." Zatanna growls and Captain Hook puts her hand on his shoulder," Put your hand right here. That's a good girl."

He smiles as puts the magical bracelet on her," This will allow you to climb. There are other dangers. Thankfully, you've got me to protect you."

He then points to his hand, saying to Zatanna,"  I can't climb one-handed, can I?"

Zatanna uses her magic to lift Captain Hook as she warns him," Try anything and let's see how you feel getting turned into a toad."

Captain Hook simply remarks," I would despair if you did."

" Alright. Let's go." With that, Zatanna began flying up the beanstalk as her mind uses a magic telekinesis spell to lift Captain Hook next to her.

Beanstalk

Up on the beanstalk, Zatanna flying up as Captain Hook remarks," So you're that magician's daughter all grown up."

" I remembered seeing you before." Zatanna says," Though I got to ask, how did you look the same all those years ago?"

" Aye, I spend all those years in Neverland, hoping to find the immortality I need to skin that crocodile." Captain Hook says.

Captain Hook then asks her," So this Emma Swan, I get that you're the one with the magic and all but why do you not want her to get that compass?"

" Because she is important to her family." Zatanna says.

" And you're not?" Captain Hook asks and Zatanna disagrees," No. But logically, Henry needs his mother more than ever. Who am I to deny him of that?"

" But aren't you his aunt?" Captain Hook asks and Zatanna says," Yes but I always do what is best for my family."

" And speaking of family, I didn't know the Great Magician Zatara had another daughter." Captain Hook remarks before adding," I was always under the impression his wife passed away years ago."

Zatanna nods," Yes. My mother passed away when I was born. But Emma, we met Emma in the Land Without Magic when she was 16 years old. She had a bit of a rebellious phase for some time but we still care for her no less."

" 16 years. That's still an awfully long time to be abandoned." Captain Hook remarks and Zatanna questions," Why are you so interested in knowing all that?"

" Well she has the most motivation to go up the beanstalk and that look in her eyes.  I spent many years in Neverland, home of the Lost Boys. They all share the same look in their eyes as she does... the look you get when you've been left alone." Captain Hook comments.

Zatanna argues," Hey. Emma may have been left in the Land Without Magic since birth due to The Evil Queen cursing the Enchanted Forest but she still had 11 years with a family that cares for her."

" Aye. But it doesn't change the fact that she is an orphan. And I guess been all too rare in her life, hasn't it?" Captain Hook says and Zatanna sadly agrees," Yeah. Though she has improved over the years, Emma doesn't trust that many people. Most people she knows tends to lie and cheat. Hard to believe Dad thought this Superman guy live in a world like that."

" Superman? As in the myth and the legend?" Captain Hook asks and Zatanna nods," Yup. Sadly, Superman can never be found."

" Seems he and I are more alike than I thought." Captain Hook remarks," I spent years trying to find that crocodile but to no avail while your father spent years looking for this Superman figure and yet he never found him."

Captain Hook then asks Zatanna," Say, where is your father?"

" He's dead."Zatanna answered," He passed away last year before all of this happens."

" My condolences." Captain Hook says," I know how's it like to lose a love one."

Foot Of The Beanstalk

Down below, Emma, Kanna, Milo, Mulan, Mary Margaret and Princess Aurora sat together.

Princess Aurora notices Mulan taking out a pocket watch and she asks," What is that?"

" Keeps the time." Mulan answers.

Mary Margaret approaches her suspiciously and asks," You have somewhere to be?"

Mulan quickly explains," We can mark watches, take turns sleeping. We'll most likely have to walk through the night again, so we should rest while we can."

Mary Margaret then volunteers," I'll take first shift."

" I'll stay up with you." Princess Aurora volunteers as well and Mulan nods approvingly," Okay. Kanna, Milo, Emma, you three go get some rest."

" Wake me up when it's my turn."Kanna says before she lies down to sleep.

Mary Margaret and Princess Aurora sat together as Mary Margaret asks her," When's the last time you slept?"

Princess Aurora simply answers," I don't really sleep now. Not after what I've been through."

Mary Margaret understood what Princess Aurora is talking about and she says," Sleeping curse."

" The one time I did sleep, I had horrible nightmares." Princess Aurora shares and Mary Margaret emphasizes with her," It's a side effect. Same thing happened to me."

Upon hearing that, Princess Aurora looks at Mary Margaret," It did?"

Mary Margaret nods," Mm. I had them for months."

Mary Margaret reminisces over Prince Charming and she shares," Charming... my husband... he used to wake me. When I cried out, he'd light a candle. He said it would capture the nightmares. He'd watch over me as I fell back to sleep."

" Sounds like he lives up to his name." Princess Aurora smiles.

" Yeah."

Mary Margaret agrees before she pause, quickly changing the subject," Um... why don't you try... to sleep? I'll watch over you. You'll be safe."

Princess Aurora smiles as she whispers a thanks to Mary Margaret," Thank you."

Meanwhile, Milo sat next to Emma and he asks," What was your life like back in this Land Without Magic?"

" Well it wasn't fantastic." Emma says and Milo asks," Why?"

" Well have you ever grown up for 27 years not knowing who your parents are?"

Emma asks and Milo says," Well, my parents did pass away when I was young though I was raised by my grandfather. He was why I have passion in  languages and antiquities."

Emma nods," Well at least you have a grandfather. I got no one."

" I remembered Zatanna telling me and Kanna that her father who is the Great Magician Zatara took you in when you were 16 years old."

" Yeah, and till this day, I never knew Zatara turns out to be a real magician." Emma adds," He kept talking to us about Superman, a character I read from a comic book."

Milo adds," Yeah. Superman is also considered a myth to some. Kida's ally, Aquaman did mention having known Superman before."

" Wait Aquaman is real here?" Emma stares at Milo in shock and Milo nods," Yes."

Emma then quickly changes the subject," So believe it or not. I have watched a movie in my world where you appeared in."

" Really?" Milo remarks," What is the movie called?"

" Atlantis." Emma answers," And I remembered in the movie, you stayed in Atlantis to live with Kida. So how is she?"

" She's good." Milo replies," She asked me to go to the surface world to help with the people up there while she deals with the oceans. Apparently, Atlantis was among the many affected by The Evil Queen's Dark Curse."

" I see." Emma says.

Milo then asks Emma," What about you?  Have you ever been in love?"

Emma looks at him and she lies," No. I have never been in love."

The Land Without Magic, Past, Convenience Store

Neal and a "pregnant" Emma enters a convenience store.

Neal then says to Emma," I think this little guy is hungry. Go ahead and get whatever you want, sweetie. I'm gonna get directions."

Emma nods," I will."

Neal goes up to a store keeper going by the name Kent Nelson," Hey, man. How are you?"

" I've been better." Kent Nelson says indifferently as Neal asks him," Listen, my wife and I...are really lost. I'm trying to get to Eugene, and I think we've been going the wrong way. Can you show me what's going on here? Where are we, first of all?"

" Okay, wait. Do I look like a tour guide? Why don't you buy the map? Then I can help you." Kent Nelson says.

" Okay." Neal says and he gives him money, which prompts Kent to say," Okay. Now your problem is... Is you're way up here. You see that?"

Neal stares at the map and he gasps," Oh, my God. That is a problem."

" Yeah. Now what you wanna do is you wanna go all the way south. You have to take 5 all the way south towards Salem." Neal steals chocolate bars as Kent continue to explains," That's right down there. You see that?"

However, another customer at the store notices Neal stealing the chocolate bar and he tries to get the shop keeper's attention," Hey."

Neal realises what is going on an he quickly nods," Okay."

" That's where you're going. You got it?" Kent asks as the Store Customer goes up to him," Hey, mister, that guy's stealing that..."

Emma realises what is happening and she clutches her stomach, crying out in pain," Oh, God! Oh, God."

" Honey?" Neal looks at her as Emma says to him worriedly," Oh. Oh. I think... I think it's time."

Neal asks Emma," He's ready?"

" Oh, yeah." Emma nods.

" You didn't see him take the chocolate..." The customer tries to alert Kent but Emma screams out loudly," Oh! Oh! It hurts really bad!"

Store Keeper goes up to the pair, asking in concern," You guys need help?"

" No, no, mister, you didn't see..." The customer keeps trying to get Kent's attention to which Emma screams out louder," Oh, my God! It hurts really bad!"

" Whoa. Whoa. Okay. Okay." Neal assures Emma as Kent asks the couple in concern," You want me to call an ambulance?"

Neal quickly declines," No, it's fine! My car's out front. I know, I know. Breathe, baby. Breathe. Let's go! Come on."

Emma cries out," Oh, God!"

" You know they were stealing." The customer says in distraught as he watches the pair leave the shop.

Behind him, a man in glasses heard the whole thing, taking a glance at the couple leaving the store before asking Kent," Say, what was all that about?"

" Eh, young love, you can never know Clark." Kent tells him, ignoring the other customer who simply gave up.

Outside

Neal and Emma leaves the store and Neal smiles as he looks at Emma's belly," The little guy saved us."

" He sure did! The miracle of birth!" Emma beams.

They get into the car where Emma pulls up her shirt, revealing to be a pile of stolen snacks and items.

" Wow. Good haul." Neal nods, impressed as Emma thanks him for the compliment," Thanks."

Neal then pulls up a key chain," I got you a key chain. Do you like it?"

" Yeah." Emma smiles and Neal then says," Okay. We gotta go."

Motel

A Motel Guest closes the door as she ushers her children," All right, come on, kids."

As the family leaves, Neal turns to Emma and the two rushes up.

Neal began picking the lock and he asks Emma," 20 minutes till housekeeping. You wanna shower first?"

Emma then notices something and she says," Oh, look, the Granola family left this."

She picks up dream-catcher as Neal asks her," What is that?"

" It's a Native American dream catcher. It's supposed to keep all the nightmares out and only let the good dreams in to protect your home." Emma explains and Neal asks," It's flypaper for nightmares?"

Emma nods," Mm-hmm."

" Let's keep it." Neal suggest and Emma asks," Yeah? Hang it where, the car?"

" It's not much of a home. Maybe it's time we get a real place." Neal mentions, causing Emma to look up," Are you saying..."

Neal smiles," Why not? We've been on the road long enough. Maybe it's time we retire the "Bonnie and Clyde" act. So I think... I think it's time."

" Together?" Emma asks and Neal grins," Don't you wanna?"

" Like where, Neverland?" Emma asks sarcastically but Neal assures her," I'm serious. We could do this.

Emma asks," Where?"

Neal sees board and he directs her to it," Where? I'll tell you where. Close your eyes and point. Whatever spot you pick...that's our home."

Emma looks before she points at a location, giving her answer," Tallahassee."

Neal immediately accepts her answer," We got a winner."

" Is it near a beach?" Emma inquires and Neal answers," Yeah, it's Florida. Everything's near a beach."

Emma then nods upon hearing that," Okay, then Tallahassee it is."

Neal smiles and he echoes," Tallahassee it is."

Emma holds Neal close and she asks him quietly," Are you sure? Is this... what you really want?"

Neal pulls her in and he simply answer," What I really want is you."

With that, both Emma and Neal kisses each other.

The Enchanted Forest, Present, Up the Beanstalk

Soon, Zatanna and Captain Hook are up the beanstalk, seeing the entire castle in ruins and Zatanna asks," Whoa. What happened here?"

" It's where the final battle was." Captain Hook explains.

The pair enters the palace and Captain Hook tells Zatanna his plan," Here's the plan. We wait for the giant to fall asleep. When he does, we'll sneak past him into his cave. It's where the treasures are, where the compass lies. "

" And then?" Zatanna asks and Captain Hook simply answer," And then we run like hell."

" We don't have time to wait for a giant to fall asleep. The powder Mulan gave us...we need to use it. We gotta knock him out." Zatanna says and Captain Hook comments," Well, that's riskier."

" Well, I'm the one with the magic here." Zatanna says and Captain Hook smiles," Point taken."

As they sneak in, Captain Hook remarks," You know. You'd make a hell of a pirate."

" No thanks. Anyway," Zatanna directs to the name tattooed on Captain Hook's hand and he asks," Who's Milah on the tattoo?"

Captain Hook removes his hand and he answers somberly," Someone from long ago."

" Where is she?" Zatanna asks.

Captain Hook walks away from her before he gives her his answer," She's gone."

It dawns on Zatanna and she asks Captain Hook," Rumplestiltskin. He took more than your hand from you, didn't he? That's why you want to kill him."

Captain Hook nods and he says," Yeah, now you know how I felt about losing someone you care about."

The Land Without Magic, Past, Town

At a town, Emma goes up to Neal, holding up a bag and she says to him,"I got doughnuts. I got jelly."

She then heard Neal emit a fake laugh and she asks in concern," What's wrong?"

" Nothing." Neal denies but Emma assuringly asks him," No, no. Hey. What's wrong?"

" This was on the wall at the post office." Neal answers as he shows her the wanted poster of himself,

" I didn't even know they did that still."

Emma looks at it and she questions," When did this happen?"

Neal sighs and he explains to her what had happened," I was a janitor in Phoenix... this high-end jewellery place. The manager was a drunk. He would forget to lock the case to the expensive watches."

" Neal..." Emma mutters

" I resisted twice. The third time, this guy's asking to get took. So I... I grabbed a couple cases of watches and I hopped on a train to Portland. The store's got insurance. Anyway, I stashed 'em in a locker at the train station. They're still there. It's hardly stealing." Neal says.

" So you got away clean." Emma states but Neal disagrees," I didn't get away clean. The manager may have been a drunk, but the security cameras are stone sober. I thought this heat had died down, but it hasn't. I'm sorry. Tallahassee's out. I gotta go to Canada."

" That's fine. I like maple syrup." Emma says only for Neal to tell her," I gotta go to Canada alone."

Shocked, Emma questions," Why?"

" If I get caught, and you're with me, you're in trouble..." Neal explains.

" You're not gonna get caught." Emma assures him only for Neal to exclaim," How can you say that? You think crossing the border's easy?"

" We get fake I.D.s and passports." Emma suggest but Neal states," Those cost money. We have a stolen car."

" We make it legit. We take a V.I.N. number off of another car." Emma says but Neal shakes his head," Emma, I'm not gonna have you in the seat next to me with $20,000..."

Upon hearing that, Emma quickly stops Neal," Wait. Wait. Seriously, wait. Wait. Wait. What if I go and get the watches out of the locker? No one's looking for me. We can... we can fence them and then we have the money. We can do whatever we want. We can go wherever we want, right? We could change our identities and go to Tallahassee."

Neal stares at Emma and he asks," So you... you want to steal the watches to help me with get away with stealing the watches?"

Emma nods," Yes. That is exactly what I want to do."

Neal sighs and he shakes his head," I can't let you risk everything..."

" I love you." Emma affirms her willingness to do it as Neal asks," I love you, too. You think you can do it?"

" I know I can." Emma says as they both grin.

The Enchanted Forest, Present, Giant Chamber

Captain Hook and Zatanna prepares to put their plan in action as the Pirate asks the Magician," You ready?"

" Whenever you are." Zatanna says.

Captain Hook uses a giant bone to hit a giant shield.

The sound alerted a Giant which pops out.

" Oh, damn it." Captain Hook curses to himself.

As the Giant searches for the source of the sound, he heard a voice shouting," Oi! Hey! You big git!"

The Giant turns around, seeing Captain Hook who began to taunt him," Yeah, you. Huh? You wanna kill a human Huh? You want to kill a human? I'm the worst human around. Come on! Come on then! Come on then!"

The Giant closes in, crouching down and he swipes, only for Captain Hook to disappear.

At that moment, a bug flies past the giant, sprinkling his face full of the powder.

The Giant lets out a loud sneeze before he felt himself getting sleepy.

The Giant then collapses onto the ground, fast asleep.

The bug then transforms itself back into Zatanna as she remarks," Whoo! Still got it."

Captain Hook rushes out and he compliments her," Aye. Not bad Zee. That projection of myself sure did me justice."

" Oh don't thank me yet. How's our big friend over there?" Zatanna asks.

Captain Hook looks and he answers," He's out cold. You know, I think we make quite the team."

Zatanna rolls her eyes and she tells him," Let's go steal a compass."

Foot Of The Beanstalk

Mary Margaret notices Princess Aurora stirring in her sleep and she goes to her," Hey. Aurora? It was just a dream. It was just a dream."

Princess Aurora pants as she tells Mary Margaret," It was horrible."

" Why don't you tell me about it? Do you want to tell me about it? Come on. Let's stand. Tell me." Mary Margaret gets Princess

Aurora to stand as she reflects on her nightmare," It was the same as last time. I was in this room... this... this red room.It was bright. Blood-red curtains. There was no windows or doors so it didn't make sense, and I couldn't get in or out. I was trapped. The curtains... they were on fire. It was horrible."

Mary Margaret puts her hand on the trembling Princess Aurora and she assures her," It's okay."

" I was hunched in a corner, and I looked over into the other corner. In the shadows, there was someone else there. I just see his eyes. He was looking right at me." Princess Aurora continues and Mary Margaret tells her comfortingly," It's okay. It's over now. These nightmares... they will fade away. I promise."

Princess Aurora looks at her and she asks," Did they for you?"

Mary Margaret nods," Yeah. Come on. Come on. I'll sit with you until you fall back asleep. Who else do I have to take care of?"

Giant's Castle

Back in the castle, Zatanna and Captain Hook enters a room with a huge pile of treasure.

Captain Hook then tells Zatanna," They hoarded all of their greatest stolen treasures in here—piles of jewels, and every room filled with coins."

" Let's get to it. The compass." Zatanna urges and Captain Hook questions," What's your rush?"

Emma arrives at the train station and stands in front of the lockers.

She notices two cops talking to each other," Talk to that guy, uh..."" What'd he say about our hours?"

Holding the key, she scans for the correct locker. She unlocks it and pulls out the bag of watches. She then exits the station, successful.

The Enchanted Forest, Present, Giant's Castle

Zatanna stares at the pile and she questions out," Great. Just great. How we going to find a compass in this mess?"

Captain Hook goes to the pile and he answers," By looking. Start searching. I wonder how much treasure we could carry down the beanstalk... in addition to the compass, of course."

" What the hell?" Captain Hook turns, seeing Zatanna staring at a skeleton lying on the floor and Captain Hook introduces her to it," That... would be Jack."

" As in Jack..." Zatanna wasn't given a chance to finish as Captain Hook completes her sentence," The giant killer."

" With that toothpick?" Zatanna asks as she looks at the sword and Captain Hook tells her," Well, it packs quite a wallop. You'd be surprised."

Zatanna notices something and she grabs Captain Hook," Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!"

" It's about bloody time." Captain Hook smirks only for Zatanna to point out," It's a trip wire. Quite a security system."

Captain Hook looks at the trip wire and he says to Zatanna," Well, that's a plausible excuse for grabbing me, but next time don't stand on ceremony."

" Let's find the compass and go home. After you." Zatanna says.

The Land Without Magic, Past, Neal's Car

Neal notices Emma enters the car and he sighs out in relief, " Oh, thank God."

Emma then says," Let's see 'em."

Neal opens the case of watches, showing Emma the watches and she remarks," That's not as many as I thought."

" Yeah, but they're super pricey. This is twenty thousand dollars, easy." Neal explains, the price causes Emma to raise her eyebrows," Twenty thousand?! Tallahassee..."

Neal then closes in and he instructs Emma," Listen, I'm going to go meet the fence. I'll meet you with the money. Remember where? The parking structure by the tracks."

" Yes." Emma nods and Neal gives her the time," Nine o'clock, sharp. This is so there's no mix-ups..."

Emma then notices that Neal isn't taking one of the watches and she asks him," So, I guess we're keeping this one?"

" How can we not? Look how good it looks on you." Neal smiles as he puts it on her, whispering," Neal: Tallahassee, baby. We're almost home."

" Home..." Emma whispers as Neal leaves.

Neal is walking down the street, when a figure appears behind him.

Neal makes a run for it and the other man chases him an alleyway.

Neal attempts to jump the fence when the other man grabs him and pulls him onto the hood of a car before he can make it. The man is revealed to be August Booth.

" You got the wrong guy, officer! I wasn't even jaywalking!" Neal screams out only for

August to tell him," It's not like that. You want to protect Emma? Come with me."

" What?" Neal questions in shock as August orders him," Get up."

Neal stares at him and he questions," How do you know Emma?"

August then introduces himself," Name's August. And it's a long story, but trust me – you want to hear it."

" Alright, August. If you're not a cop, who are you? You got two minutes." Neal demands and August simply answers," Think of me as Emma's guardian angel."

Neal looks at him and he scoffs," Guardian angel? I'd say you've been doing a pretty crap job."

" I've been looking for her for the past two years. Now I finally find her, and she's robbing convenience stores with some deadbeat. Tell me again who's doing the crap job." August retorts.

Neal then argues," Let me tell you something. I'm the best thing that's ever happened to her. Two years? Where were you the rest of her life?"

August then admits," I'm not perfect. This world? Full of temptations. Turns out I'm not that great at saying no. I'm not built that way. But, I'm here now."

" So who are you?" Neal asks and August explains," We were in the same home as kids, and I thought she'd be safe inside the system. But now that she's out? Back then, I promised I would take care of her."

" Well, we promised to take care of each other." Neal states to which August tells him," You love her. Good. That means you have to do right by her."

" That's all I'm trying to do." Neal argues and August commands," Then leave her."

Upon hearing that, Neal shakes his head," Never."

" She has a destiny. And you... this life? You're going to keep her from it. Okay? You believe in magic?" August asks to which Neal simply answers," I take it you do."

" So will you. Trust me. I'm going to show you something... something that's going to make you look at everything differently." August says as he takes out a box," And, when you see what I have in here, you're going to listen. You're going to believe every word I say."

" Yeah, right." Neal says in disbelieve and August opens the box and Neal looks inside. What Neal saw causes his eyes to widen before he nods in understanding," Okay, I'm listening."

August then explains to him," There's a curse... and it needs to be broken. Emma, is the key. I was tasked with keeping her on track and you, my friend, just got caught in the crossfire. Now, I'm going to tell you a story. And, at the end of it, you're going to have to make a decision. Will you do the right thing... or not? So... are you ready?"

Parking Structure

" The number you are trying to reach is out of service. If you think you've reached this message in error..." Emma hears the voice mail and she grumbles," Damn right it's an error."

She cuts the call and tries to re-dial.

However, at that moment, Emma hears a voice saying to her," Unless he set you up."

She looks up, seeing a police officer armed with a gun. He clicks his weapon and he orders," Hands above your head please, miss."

" Wait. Why?" Emma questions out in shock and the police explains," Possession of stolen goods. Left you holding."

" I have nothing." Emma says and the police officer tells her," Sorry to tell you, but your boy took off. Probably in Canada by now. He called in a tip – told us to take a look at the surveillance footage at the train station. Give me the watch. Now!"

Emma unfastens the watch and she the officer asks," You know your rights?"

" Yeah." She nods and she hands the watch to the cop

" Good girl. Turn around." The officer orders and as he handcuffs her, he questions," Where's the rest of the watches?"

" They're gone. They're not coming back." Emma answers and the officer then takes her away," Let's go."

The Enchanted Forest, Present, In the Giant's castle

" So it's just...in here somewhere?" Zatanna asks and Captain Hook nods," Allegedly. Give me a boost would you, love?"

" So I can't see what you're pocketing? No way. I'll fly up there myself." Zatanna says and Captain Hook tells her," Try something new, darling. It's called trust."

Zatanna sighs and she relents, " Fine. We do it side by side and fast. Who knows how long before the..."

Zatanna couldn't finish her sentence as the sound of the giant's footsteps are heard, causing Captain Hook to tell Zatanna," Someone's up. Quickly. Get under something. "

The giant charges into the treasure room causing the ceiling to cave in and debris falls onto Captain Hook.

" Hook?!" Zatanna calls out to Captain Hook just as the Giant charges at Zatanna, reaching to grabs her.

The Land Without Magic. Past. Vancouver, Canada

August sees Neal walking over and he greets him," Been a while. Where'd you go?"

" Tried to lose myself. It didn't work. I want to talk to you about Emma." Neal says and August warns him," I hope you're not trying to reach out."

Neal then says to him," I just... I feel like... if... if I knew that she was okay, then I could move on. Is she?"

August assures him," She will be. She got eleven months."

Neal exhales out and he exclaims in frustration," That should be me! I should be doing that time."

" No. We went over this. It's good." August states which shocks Neal," How's it good?"

August explains to him," It's a minimum security place in Phoenix, and no, I am not going to tell you which one. She'll get out of there and she'll be fine. You keep your promise and steer clear, and she can have a good life. She can do what she's supposed to do."

" And if I can't be there for her, man, you got to promise me that you will be." Neal begs and August promises him," I promise."

Neal then says to August," Then you should do something for me. I was able to fence the watches. Don't judge me. I'm giving it all to her. And the car – I got a clean V.I.N number for it, so it's legit. I just... it'll feel like I'm there with her, you know?"

" Money is not what she needs... not for what's ahead." August states but Neal begs," Can you just see that she gets it?"

August hesitantly agrees to the terms," Sure."

" And one more thing – if anything changes, and she does her job, this insanity ends, and she's free..." Neal doesn't need to finish and August simply says," I'll send you a postcard."

The Enchanted Forest, Present, In the Giant's castle

Zatanna is held by The Giant and she says to him," Look, it's not what you think."

However, the Giant isn't having it," You're a thief, and you poisoned me, so yeah, I'm pretty sure you're exactly what I think."

" No. Look, you have a compass. I need it." Zatanna says but The Giant doesn't care," I don't care what you need."

" No, for my nephew! To save my nephew! Don't you have a family?" Zatanna asks.

The Giant shakes his head, coldly saying to her," No. Because humans killed them all."

Zatanna bites the giant's hand, causing him to yelp in pain and he drops her.

She runs to Jack's skeleton and then uses his sword to set off the trap from earlier, trapping the Giant

As The Giant in trapped, Zatanna compliments the trap," Nice security system. Efficient."

She then points the sword at the Giant's face, causing him to protest out in fear," No. No! No! No! No!"

" I can tell by your face you know what this is. Let me guess... it's dipped in some sort of poison. You have a compass. I need it." Zatanna says but The Giant coldly growls," You're going to kill me either way. Go ahead. Kill me."

" No. What makes you think I will?" Zatanna asks and The Giant bitterly answers," I know your kind. They massacred us, and destroyed our beans.

" That's not what I heard." Zatanna says and The Giant retorts," That's because the victors get to tell the story."

Zatanna draws the sword closer and The Giant yells out," Okay! Stop. Here."

He gives her the compass and he says to Zatanna," See? I'm not the bad guy."

Zatanna then uses the sword and she points at the cage, using her magic to cause it to disappear.

The Giant gets up but doesn't attack her.

Zatanna then says to him," Maybe you are telling the truth. Are there anymore of you?"

The Giant shakes his head," No. I'm alone."

Zatanna then notices something in the satchet The Giant is wearing and she asks him," What's this? Is this a bean? Can this make a portal?"

" Not anymore. It was destroyed like the rest of them. I wear it as a reminder... a reminder that you're all killers." The Giant spat and Zatanna tell him," Maybe most of them are but we're not all the same."

The Giant removes a boulder that leads outside and he ushers to Zatanna," Go."

" Why?" Zatanna asks and The Giant explains," Because you could've killed me, and you didn't. You get one favour. Now go, before I change my mind."

Zatanna however, negotiates," Actually... can I get two favours?"

The Giant looks at her in confusion," What? Why?"

" Well, the way I see it, I could've killed you twice... the poison and when you were knocked out. I didn't." Zatanna says.

The Giant, knowing full well of Zatanna's capabilities, then asks," What do you want?"

To which Zatanna smiles.

Soon

Back in the treasure room, Zatanna pulls Captain Hook from under the debris.

" Hook." Zatanna pulls him out and Captain Hook smiles," Ah. Zatanna good to see you lass."

Zatanna sat him down and Captain Hook asks," You got the compass?"

Zatanna nods and Captain Hook compliments her," You are bloody brilliant. Seems the reputation runs in the family. May I see it? The compass."

She shows him the compass and he remarks," It's more beautiful than legend. Come. Let's go."

He extends his hand to Zatanna but she uses her magic, restraining him onto the ground, shocking the pirate captain," What are you doing? What are you doing?"

" Sorry Hook. Nothing personal really." Zatanna apologises.

Captain Hook began to frantically begs," Zatanna, look at me. Have I told you a lie? I brought you here. I risked my own safety to help you. The compass is in your hand. Why do this to me now?"

" At the risk you may be working with Cora? I can't take a chance that I'm wrong about you. I'm sorry." Zatanna says which angers CaptainHook," You're sorry? You're sorry?! I got you here! I got you the compass!"

" I got the compass." Zatanna corrects him.

" Well, you're just going to leave me here to die? Have that beast to eat me, to crush my bones?" Captain Hook questions and Zatanna tells him," He's not a beast. And you're not going to die. I just need a head start. That's all."

With that, she leaves the castle, leaving Captain Hook alone to deal with the Giant.

" Zatanna! Zatanna!" Captain Hook screams as The Giant closes in onto him.

Beanstalk

At the foot of the Beanstalk, Mulan checks the sundial.

She sees it has been ten and she goes up with her sword, proceeding to cut down the beanstalk.

Mary Margaret saw what is happening and she rushes to stops her," Whoa. Wait! What are you doing?"

Mulan commands," Just stay back. Zatanna gave me ten hours."

At that moment, Emma, Princess Aurora, Kanna and Milo joins in they saw Mary Margaret shouting at Mulan in protest," No! No! No!"

" Hey, what's all this?" Emma asks and Mary Margaret tells her," Mulan told me Zatanna wants her to cut the beanstalk down."

Princess Aurora stares at Mulan and she questions her," What, you're just going to leave her to die?"

" Ten hours. She may already be dead." Mulan states and Milo tries to stop her," Wait, Mulan! Aren't you being a bit too hasty."

" If The Giant or whatever is up there knows about us, we're in grave danger." Mulan says to Milo.

"No, st..." Princess Aurora wasn't given a chance to finish asMulan strikes the beanstalk and a surge of magic is released upward.

" NO!!!" Emma screams as she charges towards Mulan.

" No, stop!" Princess Aurora, shouts as Kanna and Mary Margaret rushes in to pull Emma and Mulan away from each other.

" Aurora's right, we don't have to do this." Kanna says to Mulan but she argues," This was her wish!"

" I don't care what you say! You do not put my sister in danger!" Emma shout;s

" Stop!" Emma and Mulan stops and they saw Zatanna jumps down from the beanstalk.

" Zatanna! You're okay?" Kanna and Mary Margaret releases their grip off Emma and Mulan.

" Two earthquakes and a jump from a beanstalk. I think my brain's still rattling around a little." Zatanna says and Mulan states to Emma," I did what she ordered, nothing more than that. Did you get it?"

" Yes I did." Zatanna says as she shows the group the compass.

" Wow. You actually did it." Milo remarks out.

Princess Aurora then realizes that Captain Hook is not with her and she asks," W...Where's Hook?"

" He's detained. Let's go. Get your stuff. We got ten hours before he follows us." Zatanna instructs to whichMary Margaret asks," What? How?"

" I got a friend looking after him till then." Zatanna answers.

As Zatanna starts to follow Mulan, Emma pulls her back, questioning her," You told her to cut it down?"

" Yes. I couldn't risk..." Zatanna says and Emma slaps her.

She grasps onto Zatanna's shoulder and she sternly tells her off," Don't ever do that again! We go back together. That is the only way. Do you understand?"

" Yeah." Zatanna nods and Emma hugs her.

Mary Margaret goes up to them and she says," Good. Now that's all settled, let's go get that dust from Cora."

Emma nods," Yeah, and go home."

" I'm with ya." Zatanna nods as well to which Mary Margaret gave both women an approving nod," Mm-hmm."

The Land Without Magic, Past, 10 years ago, Phoenix, Arizona, Minimum Security Prison

In Emma's cell, Emma sat alone when a Female Prison guard going by the name of Renee Montoya enters with a brown envelope," Swan, your time for release is here. But before that, you got mail. Know anyone in Phuket? I've got to open this in front of you. Those are the rules. Okay."

Renee holds up a set of car keys, showing them to her," Look. Car keys. Hope you got the car it goes with. But good news. You get a car when you get out. And a baby. Congratulations. Now pack up and get ready to leave."

The guard leaves and Emma looks at the positive pregnancy test is shown in Emma's hands.

Soon

Renee walks with Emma as she passes by a Detective, even greeting him," Morning Gordon."

" Morning Montoya." Commissioner Gordon greets her back.

Emma steps outside of the prison, finding herself looking at Zatara and a younger Zatanna waiting for her.

Zatanna scowls as she say," Well you've been looking well."

However, Zatara says to her," Zatanna enough. We'll talk more when we get home."

Zatanna gets into the car as Zatara beckons to Emma," Come on. Let's go."

Emma silently follows her adoptive father into the car.

Storybrooke, Present, The Blanchard Loft

Henry is sleeping when he suddenly sat up, screaming," Aah!"

David rushes in and he comforts the boy," Henry? Henry? Hey. Hey. Hey. Hey. You're okay. You're okay. You're okay, you're okay."

Henry pants and he says to David," I j...just had the worst nightmare."

" It's over now." David assures Henry and the boy nods," Okay."

" Okay? Here. This will help." David says as he lights a candle

" A candle?" Henry asks in confusion and David nods," Yeah. They keep the nightmares away. Now, talk to me. What was so bad?"

Henry shakes as recounts his nightmare in a terrified tone," I w... I was in this room, and... and it was red. And there was no doors, no windows."

" Mm-hmm" David nods and Henry adds," And these curtains... and they were on fire. And I was in this corner."

" Right." David nods again and Henry continues," And... and... and... and I was looking up, and there was someone else there. She was staring at me through the flames. Th-Then I woke up and..."

David hugs Henry and he assures him," Hey, don't worry, alright? It was just a bad dream."
