Storybrooke, Present, Mr. Gold's Pawn Shop

Inside Mr. Gold's Pawn Shop, Mr. Gold places a necklace on Belle, causing her to feel delighted as she remarks to him,"  It's, um... it's very beautiful. So, what's the occasion?"

Mr. Gold answers," The occasion is us. We haven't really gotten out much since Storybrooke awakened, so I thought we should see it together. Wow."

Belle smiles as she thanks him," Thank you."

Mr. Gold chuckles," Don't get your hopes up. The nightlife is extremely limited."

Belle laughs," No. That's not what I meant. Thank you for...for what you're doing, for how you're changing."

However, the tender moment between Mr. Gold and Belle is interrupted by the sudden sound of the Door bells jingle.

Leroy storms in, demanding Mr. Gold," Okay, 'Stiltskin, I want my axe."

Mr. Gold turns to him and he says," I'm sorry, but we're closed."

Leroy doesn't listen and he demands his axe," It's mine. Give it to me."

" And yet, still closed." Mr. Gold states but Leroy doesn't listen," Just 'cause you possess something don't mean it's yours. Nothing in this shop belongs to you."

"And you?" Leroy turns to Belle and he asks her, " How can you be with such a monster? Or maybe you're just another possession, too."

Those words angered Mr. Gold and he screams at Leroy," How dare you?! You want your axe? Fine!"

" Rumplestiltskin!" Belle screams out in horror as she watches Mr. Gold grabbing Leroy's axe, lifting it up over the Dwarf as he shouts at him maliciously," You can have it buried in your chest!"

Belle rushes in, trying to stop Mr. Gold from killing Leroy," Stop! Stop! This isn't you anymore!"

Mr. Gold looks at her, now having his Rumplestiltskin look as he simply sneers at her," Oh, it's me, dearie. Always has been, always will be."

Rumplestilskin turns to the cowering Leroy and he sneers," Too bad Dwarf, that meddlesome magician isn't here to save you!"

Rumplestilskin then swings the axe down onto Leroy, causing Belle to jump up from her dream.

Belle sat up, panting from her nightmare.

She turns to her bedside, only to see that Mr. Gold isn't in bed with her.

Belle then goes to investigate, trying to find where Mr. Gold is.

She heads outside, and sees him practicing magic in the basement.

The Enchanted Forest, Past, Rumplestiltskin's Home

Rumplestiltskin enters his home, calling out to his wife and son," Milah? Bae? I'm home. Bae. Hey."

Baelfire goes up to Rumplestiltskin and he asks," Papa?"

Rumplestiltskin looks around, noticing that Milah is missing before asking Baelfire," Where's mum?"

Baelfire doesn't answer, prompting Rumplestiltskin to shrug," Well, she probably just lost track of time. Grab your cloak. We'll find her."

Tavern

At a local tavern, Milah is playing a dice game with several pirates.

She then opens her palm, revealing the dice numbers and she exclaims out exclaims out," Ahoy, my three!"

" Ah!" The pirates cheers out.

Milah is so engrossed in her dice game with the pirates that she doesn't notice Rumplestiltskin approaching her.

Rumplestiltskin goes up to Milah and he tries to ask her to leave," Milah. Milah. It's time to go."

" Good. So go." Milah says to Rumplestiltskin dismissively.

" Who's this?" The Pirate Captain asks Milah only for her to casually reply," Ah, it's no one. It's just my husband."

The Captain looks down and up Rumplestiltskin before commenting out," Oh. Well, he's a tad taller than you described."

Rumplestiltskin tries to beg," Please. You have responsibilities."

Milah looks and she spat at Rumplestiltskin bitterly," You mean like being a man and fighting in the ogre wars? Other wives became honored widows while I became lashed to the village coward. I need a break. Run home, Rumple. It's what you're good at."

" Mama?" Milah heard Baelfire voice saying to her and she turns to look at him.

Rumplestiltskin goes to Baelfire and he says to him," Bae. You were supposed to wait outside, son."

Milah gets up and she takes Baelfire home, leaving Rumplestiltskin behind.

Rumplestiltskin's House

Back at the house, Rumplestiltskin goes up to Milah and he ask her," You don't really wish I'd died... during the ogre wars, do you?"

" I wish you'd fought. Don't you?" Milah questions, prompting Rumplestiltskin to stammer," Well, I- I'm alive, and I'm here with you, with Bae."

Milah shakes her head," This isn't a life, not for me. Why can't we just leave?"

" We... we've talked about that." Rumplestiltskin whispers and Milah shakes her head," You don't have to be the village coward. We could start again, go somewhere no one knows us, see... the whole world beyond this village."

Rumplestiltskin places his hands on Milah's shoulder and he says to her persuasively," I know this wasn't the life you wanted, but it- it can be good here. At least try, if not for me, then... for Bae."

Milah nods and she whispers," Okay. I'll try."

Storybrooke, Present, Mr. Gold's House

Morning comes and Mr. Gold is standing around in his kitchen.

At that moment, Belle enters the kitchen and Mr. Gold greets her," Hey."

" Hey." Belle greets before asking Mr. Gold," What are you doing?"

" I was uh, gonna make you breakfast." Mr. Gold says but Belle clarifies her question," No. In... in the basement. I saw you practicing magic."

" Want some breakfast?" Mr. Gold tries to change the subject but Belle brushes him off," No, we need to talk about this."

Mr. Gold replies," It was just a couple of spells. Nothing to be concerned about."

Belle then questions," Okay, then be honest with me. Why did you bring magic here?"

" I've told you. Magic is power." Mr. Gold says but Belle continues to probe further," Why do you need it? Tell me."

Mr. Gold simply stays silent as Belle says to him," You don't need power, Rumple. You need courage... to let me in."

The Enchanted Forest, Past, Rumplestiltskin's House

A woman goes up to Rumplestiltskin's house and she knocks on the door.

Rumplestiltskin answers the door and the woman says to him,"  Rumplestiltskin, you need to get to the docks now."

" The docks? Why?" Rumplestiltskin ask and the woman answers," The men who came into port last week... they've taken Milah. They're setting sail. You must hurry."

Docks

At the docks, Rumplestiltskin limps towards the ship called the Jolly Roger.

He climbs the stairs to get on the ship and falls down on the deck, causing him to scream out in agony," Uhh!"

" On your feet for the Captain." One of the ship's crew member said and he hauls Rumplestiltskin to his feet before thrusting his walking stick at him.

Rumplestiltskin's eyes recognises the Pirate Captain and he points out," I...I remember you, fr...from the bar."

" It's always nice to make an impression. Where are my manners? We haven't been formally introduced. Killian Jones." Killian Jones introduces himself before questioning Rumplestiltskin," Now what are you doing aboard my ship?"

Rumplestiltskin stammers timidly," W- well you have my wife." Only for Killian Jones to say to him casually," I've had many a man's wife."

Rumplestiltskin tries to beg," No, you... you see, we... we have a son, and he needs his mother."

Killian Jones only coldly tells him," And see, I have a ship full of men who need... companionship."

Rumplestilskin knocks the ship crew back, surprising Killian as the old man begs the Captain," I...I'm begging you. Please let her go."

Killian Jones then says to Rumplestiltskin," I'm not much for bartering. That said, I do consider myself an honorable man, a man with a code. So... if you truly want your wife back..."

Killian throws a sword in front of Rumplestiltskin, finishing his sentence," All you have to do is take her. Never been in a duel before, I take it? Well, it's quite simple, really. The pointy end goes in the other guy. Go on. Pick it up."

Rumplestiltskin does nothing, prompting Killian to say to him scornfully," A man unwilling to fight for what he wants deserves what he gets."

Rumplestiltskin's voice breaks as he begs Killian sadly," Please, sir. What am I gonna tell my boy?"

Killian Jones simply suggest," Try the truth. His father's a coward."

Storybrooke, Present, The Mines

The dwarves and David Nolan are mining a wall with some pickaxes as Leroy watches their progress, ordering them," Keep swinging, dwarves."

Henry is watching as Ruby joins in, asking him," Did they find any fairy dust yet?"

Henry Mills shakes his head," No, not yet. But they will, and when they do, we'll figure out a way to get Zatanna, Mary Margaret and my mom back."

" I'll be back later with lunch." Ruby says before leaving to go to Granny's Diner to pick up food for the Dwarves.

David Nolan wipes the dust away from his face and he complains," I hate mine dust."

He turns to Leroy and he tells him," Leroy. If you find anything, I'll be at the sheriff's station."

" You taking over as sheriff?" Leroy asks and David simply states," Stepping in until Emma gets back."

Mr. Gold's House

Mr. Gold is back in his house, searching for Belle as he calls out to her," Belle? Come on. At least come and eat something. Belle?"

He goes up into her room, only to find Belle gone.

Moe French's flower shop

Moe is busy working at his flower shop when Mr. Gold enters the shop, carrying a flier as he says to him," I was wondering if you'd heard from your daughter."

He shows Moe the flier which causes him to angrily question Mr. Gold," Is this some kind of cruel joke?"

" Would I have made this flyer if I knew where she was?" Mr. Gold questions back and Moe bitterly says to him," The only reason she's missing is because of the deal I made with you, but I'd held out hope she might have survived such a wicked trade."

Mr. Gold tells him," And she has."

" Why hasn't she come looking for me?" Moe questions and Mr. Gold answers," Well, she did. She even made the flyer like this one."

Mr. Gold shows Moe the flyer to which the shop owner spat," And let me guess. You took care of it by throwing it in the trash."

" I don't expect you to help me. I just wanna know she's safe." Mr. Gold say and Moe haughtily tells him," And now, thanks to you, neither one of us knows where she is. You're a monster, Rumplestiltskin."

The Enchanted Forest

While walking back to the Safe Haven, Kanna and Zatanna walks next to each other behind Milo, Emma, Mulan, Princess Aurora and Mary Margaret.

Kanna then tells Zatanna" By the way, have you ever met a pirate?"

" As a matter of fact, yes. I remember seeing one when my father got a Magic Bean from a Trader he paid." Zatanna says.

" Speaking of pirates," Zatanna then asks Kanna," How did you come to this land?"

" A pirate brought me there, he seems to love his ship as he calls it the Jolly Roger." Kanna says.

" Jolly Roger? Now where did I hear that name before?" Zatanna asks as she thinks.

The Enchanted Forest, Past, Tavern

" Alright, thank you very much." Zatara says as he and Zatanna takes a bean from a Trader, who nods in acknowledgement.

Zatara then tells his daughter," Come Zatanna, let's go."

Zatara and Zatanna then gets up and leaves, passing by Killian Jones and his crew.

Killian Jones takes a glance at a young Zatanna who also exchanges glances with him before the Father Daughter pair leaves the Tavern.

The Trader then gets up  and he approaches Rumplestiltskin who is now in his Dark One form before whispering out," It really is you. The Dark One, in the flesh. Or whatever that is."

Rumplestiltskin hisses at The Trader," You've gone to a lot of trouble to meet me. You better hope I agree it's worth...my...time."

The Trader says to Rumplestiltskin," I've heard you've been looking for something, and as luck would have it, I'm a man who trades in hard-to-find objects. Like a bean. A magic bean that can transport you between worlds."

Rumplestiltskin stares at him and he dismisses the Trader's sentence," I've been told they no longer exist in this land."

The Trader shakes his head," Not in this land, no. But the ships that dock here often return from far off lands with treasures they don't always understand."

" And yet you do." Rumplestiltskin states and the Trader simply shrugs," It's my job, as is knowing the rumors of who might pay the highest price for said treasures."

Rumplestiltskin then asks him," And what rumors could they be?"

The Trader nervously answers," That you were once a great coward but that you became The Dark One to overcome that and protect a- a son who you lost despite all..."

Before the Trader could continue, Rumplestiltskin uses his magic to stop the trader from speaking before hissing," It's not nice to spread rumors. A bean! I saw you gave that Magician one! Where is it?"

The Trader chokes as he speaks," I don't have any on my right now! But I can get it. I...I swear. You haven't heard my price."

" I spin straw into gold. Price shouldn't be a problem." Rumplestiltskin dismissively says but The Trader tells him," Oh, I don't want money. I want eternal life."

Rumplestiltskin laughs out loud," Only The Dark One has life eternal. Tell you what, my son. What I can do, what about youth? Spin the clock back till you're a little boy again."

" Close enough. Deal." The Trader agrees to

Rumplestiltskin's conditions but the Dark One threatens him,

" But remember, you fail to deliver, I spin the clock forward and turn you into dust."

" Thank you. Thank you." The Trader quickly thanks Rumplestiltskin before he lets him go.

As the Trader leaves, a server approaches Rumplestiltskin and she asks him," You sure you don't want anything?"

Rumplestiltskin listens as he hears Killian Jones voice booming across the tavern," Where's my scurvy crew?"

" Ah! Here we be, Cap'n!" The ship's crew acknowledges their Captain as Killian Jones questions out to the waitress," Where's my beer?"

Rumplestiltskin then says to the Server," You know, I suddenly find myself quite thirsty."

He places an order for a beer as he listens to Killian Jones toasting to his men," Cheers."

Storybrooke, Present, Granny's Diner

In Granny's Diner, Ruby places a glass of Iced Lemon Tea in front of Belle who then thanks her," Thank you."

Ruby then asks Belle in concern," Are you okay? That's your third iced tea this morning. Wouldn't wanna have to call you a cab."

Belle quickly shakes her head,"  No, I... I've never had it iced before. It's...it's delicious."

" I haven't seen you in here before." Ruby says and Belle explains," Well, I-, uh, I've been a kept woman until recently."

" Let me guess. Bad breakup?" Ruby asks and Belle sighs out sadly," I think I may be headed there."

" And do you have a place to stay? Any family here?" Ruby asks and Belle answers uncertainly," Uh, I'm- I'm not sure. I'm still looking. But I'm on my own for now."

Ruby then offers Belle," I could ask Granny about a room here."

Belle smiles and she thanks her," Really? Thanks. Uh..."

" Ruby." Ruby introduces herself and Belle does the same thing," Belle. What I really need though, is- is a life, a job."

" Well, uh, what do you like to do?" Ruby asks and Belle says," I- I do love books."

Ruby then remembers something and she gasps," The library. It's been closed forever, but, uh, things are changing now. Maybe they need a librarian."

Storybrooke Library

As per Ruby's words, Belle stands outside of the Storybrooke library that has been closed and barricaded.

Belle peaks into the window to look at the books inside when she heard a voice saying to her," Excuse me, miss."

Belle jumps, startled by the man's appearance and she yells out," You startled me."

The man then asks her," I- I was just wondering if you had any spare change."

Belle shakes her head and she says to him regretfully," Oh, no, sorry. I- I don't have any money."

" What- what about a friend? Are you meeting anyone here?" The man asks and Belle answers," Uh, no. Why?"

" I just wanted to make sure." The man states before he grabs Belle, abducting her.

The Enchanted Forest, Past, Alley

Killian Jones and his crew are walking along an alley as one of the crew members spoke," You said it yourself."

Just then, a cloaked figure bumps into Killian Jones, continue walking without apologising which Killian Jones to angry stop him," Hey, you! Stop. Even gutter rats have more manners than you just displayed."

" No, I'm so sorry, Sir." The cloaked figure apologizes and Killian Jones recognise the voice," Ah. I was wrong. Not a rat at all. More..."

He leans in and hits the cloaked figure's cup that he is holding, causing it to spill coins all over the ground. As he kneels down and tries to pick it all up, Killian Jones stands over him and he scornfully snarls," More like a crocodile. What's your name, crocodile?"

The figure removes his hood, revealing himself to be Rumplestiltskin and he giggles out, prompting Killian to gasp," You. I remember you."

Rumplestiltskin smiles," Always nice to make an impression. Where are my manners? We haven't been properly introduced. Rumplestiltskin, or as others know me, The Dark One. Oh! I see my reputation precedes me."

" It does." Killian agrees and Rumplestiltskin exclaims out delightfully," Good! That's gonna save us time during the question and answer portion of our game."

Killian narrows his eyes and he questions," What is it you want to know?"

Rumplestiltskin then jumps straight to the point," How's Milah, of course?"

" Who?" Killian asks, only for Rumplestiltskin to say," Only too happy to, uh, dig out the memory, but it gets really messy."

" She's dead. Died a long time ago. What is it you want?" Killian Jones asks and Rumplestiltskin," We didn't get a chance to finish our duel."

Killian draws his sword but Rumplestiltskin quickly stops him," Ah! Not now. Tomorrow at dawn. I am not a cruel man. Get your affairs in order. Also, you can spend tonight knowing it'll be your last."

Rumplestiltskin giggles," Maybe I am cruel. And don't think about trying to escape, because I will find you, and I will gut your entire crew"

He then finishes his sentence with an Italian accent," Like the fish."

Storybrooke, Present day, The Blanchard loft

David is in the Blanchard loft when Mr. Gold enters the apartment, asking David," May I have a word, Sheriff?"

" Uh, acting sheriff." David corrects him," And I'm already late on another busy day, cleaning up the mess you made."

Mr. Gold then apologises," My apologies. That was a moment of poor judgment on my part. And it's not lost on me that I'm now here to ask for your help."

" Well, then it shouldn't be lost on you when I say no." David refuses but Mr. Gold pleads," Hear me out first. I'm here to report a missing person."

David sighs as Mr. Gold continues," She left my home early this morning. Her name is Belle."

David remembers what Mr. Gold said in the past and he recalls," Back in our land, you mentioned you loved someone once. Is..."

Mr. Gold nods," Yes."

" You also said she died." David says and Mr. Gold states," I thought she had."

David then suggests," Well, why don't you just use the tracking spell you gave me to find Jefferson?"

"  It only works if you have something the person owned. I- I don't." Mr. Gold explains, prompting David to ask," How can you be sure she's gone missing and not run away?"

" I can't. Look, the townsfolk are less than sympathetic to my plight, but you- you're in the rather unique position to understand exactly what I'm going through." Mr. Gold says.

Mr. Gold points to a picture of Emma, Zatanna and Mary Margaret and he pleads," Will you help me?"

The Enchanted Forest, Past, Alleyway

The next day, Killian Jones comes back to the alleyway, prepared to fight Rumplestiltskin.

He spots him sitting on top of an arch.

Rumplestiltskin drops a sword in front of Killian and he orders," Pick it up, dearie, and let's begin."

Killian Jones however refuses," There's no need."

He reaches for his own sword, but Rumplestiltskin takes it from him using magic, saying to him while playing with it," Sorry, but killing a man with his own sword was just too delicious to pass up. Hmm?"

KIllian and Rumplestiltskin began their fight, their swords clashing as Rumplestlitskin spoke in between battle," Ships that pass in the night. Well, at least one ship."

Rumplestiltskin flings Killian into a pile of barrels. He gets up and continues to fight. Rumplestiltskin disarms him, and steps on his sword before he can pick it up. He puts the tip of his sword and Killian's throat.

Accepting his fate, Killian then says to Rumplestiltskin," Go on. I'm ready for the sword."

Rumplestiltskin however, shakes his head," No. Do you know what it's like to have your wife stolen from you? To feel powerless to stop it? It feels like having your heart ripped from your chest. Actually, let me show you."

He sticks his hand into Killian's chest, attempting to rip the Pirate Captain's heart out when he heard a familiar voice shouting," Stop!"

Rumplestiltskin looks to the direction of the voice and he gasps out in shock," Milah."

Storybrooke, Present, Moe's Flower Shop

The man brings Belle into the flower shop as she struggles, demanding out," Who are you? What- what do you want from me?"

The man then reveals," I'm just a man who procures hard to find objects. In this case, the object was you."

" So then who- who put you up to this?" Belle questions and at that moment, Moe steps into the room, his eyes widens and he whispers out with tears going down his eyes," Belle? Oh. Oh, how I've missed you, Belle."

Belle stares at her father, tears flowing down her face as she found herself reunited with her father once more," Father?"

Moe goes up to Belle and he apologizes to his daughter," I'm so sorry this is how we had to be reunited. Please understand. I had no choice."

" But to kidnap me?" Belle questioned and Moe explains to justify his action," After the curse broke, I searched all over for you and discovered The Dark One still had you captive."

Belle however, disagrees," He wasn't holding me captive. I chose to be with him."

" Are you saying you fell in love with him?" Moe questioned his daughter, distraught by the thought only for Belle to sadly state," But I fear it may be over now."

" It must be." Moe grabs Belle by her shoulders and he forcefully begs her," Promise me you no longer love him, that you will never see him again."

Belle however refuses to listen," I'm not- I'm not a child."

Moe says to her," You don't understand what that man will do to you, what he's already done."

" No, you don't understand. It's my life." Belle argues which causes Moe to sigh sadly," Then I don't have a choice. I'm sorry."

Moe then tells The Trader," Do it."

The Trader grabs Belle as she began yelling out," What? Father? Father, what- what are you doing? Stop!"

" Good-bye, Belle. I love you." Moe sadly says, ignoring Belle calling him," Father!"

Street

David Nolan and Mr. Gold walking along the sidewalk as they overhear a Man whispering to his friend as they lay eyes on Rumplestiltskin," Yeah, that's him, all right."

" Do you remember turning a butcher into a pig?" David asks and Mr. Gold simply answers," Can't say that I do. Why?"

David then replies," Well, he does. And apparently, it was his father. I'm beginning to understand why nobody wants to help you."

" Well, what h- has he seen Belle?" Mr. Gold ask and David shakes his head," Afraid not."

Mr. Gold sighs in disappointment," Okay, so what's next?"

David then remembers a place," Granny's. We can see who else you terrorized there."

" Look, uh, can I ask you a question about you and Mary Margaret? H- how- how does that work?" Mr. Gold asks which causes David to look at him," Are you asking dating advice?"

Mr. Gold quickly denies," Of course not, no."

David sighs and he explains to Mr. Gold," Honesty. That's how we did it. Hard work and being honest with one another."

" Well, I don't lie." Mr. Gold frankly states but David clarifies," There's a difference between literal truth and honesty of the heart. Nothing taught me that more than this curse."

The Enchanted Forest, Past, Alley

Rumplestiltskin saw Milah and he pulls his hand out of Killian's chest, gasping out in shock," Milah. How?"

" Milah, you have to run." Killian urges but Milah refuses," No. I'm not leaving without you."

" Oh, how sweet. It appears there's more to this tale than I know. Tell it to me, Milah." Rumplestiltskin sarcastically remarks and Milah begs," Please don't hurt him. I can explain."

" Tick-tock, dearie. Tick-tock." Rumplestiltskin says impatiently as Milah began confessing her acts of adultery," That first night, when Killian and his crew came into the tavern, he told stories about the places he'd been, and I fell in love with him."

Rumplestiltskin sticks his sword into Killian's side angrily and Milah quickly apologises," I didn't mean for it to turn out this way. I didn't know how to tell you the truth. I'm sorry."

" And so here we are. You've come to save the life of your true love, the pirate. I didn't realize the power of true love before. It is impressive. I'd hate to break it up. Actually, no. I'd love to." Rumplestiltskin laughs as continues to stick his sword in to Killian's side.

Milah quickly exclaims," Wait. I have something you want."

" Well, I find that very difficult to believe."Rumplestiltskin remarks as he pulls his sword out of Killian's side and Milah shows him the trader's red hat, causing him to question," Where did you get that?"

Milah explains," You know who I took it from. I may not know what The Dark One wants with a magic bean, but I have it."

" Oh, I feel a proposal coming on." Rumplestiltskin sneers as Milah negotiates," The magic bean in exchange for our lives. Deal?"

Rumplestiltskin insists," I wanna see it first."

Storybrooke, Present, Granny's Diner.

In Granny's Diner, Mr. Gold and David are asking Ruby about Belle to which she denies," Belle, huh? Sorry. Doesn't ring a bell."

" Ruby, listen to me. If you've come across her, you gotta tell me. I'll make sure nothing bad happens." David begs and Ruby directs to Mr. Gold, asking," Yeah, but what about him?"

" I've got him. Trust me." David assures and Ruby answers," She was in earlier. She was looking for a job. I pointed her in the direction of the library."

" When do you think she went there?" Mr. Gold ask and Ruby answers." Don't know. But when you find her, give her this. She left it in her booth."

Mr. Gold saw the jacket Ruby is holding and he exclaims," No, that's mine. She didn't have anything for the cold."

" You sure you'll watch out for her?" Ruby ask and David nods," Yes. Why?"

Ruby explains," I think- I think I–can find her. Lately, since things changed, I've been, uh, a little more sensitive to odors."

" What, you can smell her?" Mr. Gold inquires and Ruby nods, remembering her werewolf powers she had back in the Enchanted Forest," I guess it's 'cause of the wolf thing."

Moe's Shop

Ruby is leading Mr. Gold and David to Belle by following scent before she stops, causing David to ask," What's wrong?"

Ruby apologizes," I had her, but I- I lost her trail."

She then sneezes and inhales deeply and she says," Oh. It must be the flowers. I- I can't track her anymore. I'm sorry."

Mr. Gold however, recognizes the shop," Don't be. This is her father's shop."

They enter the shop and Moe looks up, upon laying eyes on Mr. Gold, he angrily says to him," You again. Out. This is a private establishment. You're not welcome."

" Where's Belle?" Mr. Gold interrogates and David adds," I won't let anything happen to her, Moe."

" We're just worried." Ruby says and Moe tells her," Don't be. She's safe. So you can stop looking."

Mr. Gold tries to plead to Moe," Look, if I could just have the chance to talk to her."

Moe however, refuses to abide to Mr. Gold's request," You will destroy Belle like you destroy everything else. Well, I won't let that happen."

" What have you done with her?" Mr. Gold growls and Moe says to him harshly," There's only one way to get her away from you."

" What have you done with her?" Mr. Gold repeats his question and Moe simply answers," I have to make her forget about you, no matter the cost. Even if it means she forgets me, too."

Mr. Gold gasps as it dawns on him," He's sending her across the town line."

David then interrogates Moe," Where are you sending Belle across? You know we have patrols on the Storybrooke line to make sure no one crosses accidentally. So how are you planning to pull it off?"

Mr. Gold grabs Moe, strangling him as he angrily demands out," Where?! Where are you sending her across? Tell me where!"

David quickly rushes in to stop Mr. Gold," Stop it. You're gonna kill him."

He looks at Moe's hand, noticing that they are covered in dirt," You've been down in the mines. The tunnels. They lead out of town."

The Enchanted Forest, Past, Jolly Roger

Milah is helping Killian onto the Jolly Roger as the Ship Crew Members crowd around the pair," Move it out!"

" Milah, what happened?" One of the crew asks and Milah instructs him," Fetch some water."

" Get the Captain water!" Another crew member orders and Milah places another order," And get me that prisoner from below deck along with the booty he carried. Now!"

" Bring up the prisoner!" The crew member prompts and Rumplestiltskin sarcastically remarks," Well, well, seems like you finally found the family you could never have with me."

One of the ship crew members pushes the trader up the stairs from below the deck and he growls at him," All right, get your sorry arse up there."

Milah shows Rumplestiltskin the magic bean.

He reaches for it, and she tosses it to Killian who simply says," You asked to see it, and now you have."

" Do we have a deal? Can we go our separate ways?" Milah asks and

Rumplestiltskin questions back snarkily," Do you mean, do I forgive you? Can I move on? Perhaps. Perhaps. I can see you are truly in love."

" Thank you." Milah thanks Rumplestiltskin.

Just as she walks towards Killian, Rumplestiltskin then asks her," Just one question."

Milah looks at him," What do you want to know?"

Rumplestiltskin then questions her,

" How could you leave Bae? Do you know what it was like walking home that night..."

Milah whispers," Rumple..."

Rumplestiltskin continues," ...knowing I had to tell our son..."

" Please." Milah quietly pleads as Rumplestiltskin finishes his sentence," ...that his mother was dead?"

Milah sadly admits," I was wrong to lie to you. I was the coward. I knew that."

Rumplestiltskin began shouting at Milah angrily," You left him! You abandoned him!"

" And there's not a day that goes by that I don't feel sorry for that." Milah sadly says and Rumplestiltskin gets even angrier," Sorry isn't enough!"

He calms down and he says," You let him go."

" I let my misery cloud my judgment." Milah admits and

Rumplestiltskin asks her," Why were you so miserable?"

" Because I never loved you." Milah's confession was all it took for Rumplestiltskin to stick his hand into her chest, pulling it out.

" Milah!" Killian screams as he lunges at Rumplestiltskin, but the Dark One flings him against the mast.

" No!" Jones frees himself and rushes to catch Milah as she falls down.

Milah looks up and she whispers to Killian," I love you."

Rumplestiltskin crushes her heart, causing it to turn into dust and she dies.

Killian Jones, filled with resentment, mumbles at Rumplestiltskin," No. You may be more powerful now, demon, but you're no less a coward."

Rumplestiltskin doesn't bother with him and he demands his bean," I'll have what I came for now."

Killian Jones growls," You'll have to kill me first."

" Ah-ah! I'm afraid that's not in the cards for you, sonny boy." Rumplestiltskin says before he swings his sword down, slicing off Killian's left hand and he falls to the ground in pain, screaming out.

" I want you alive because I want you to suffer like I did." Rumplestiltskin coldly says. Just as he turns to walk away, Killian grabs a hook, driving it into Rumplestiltskin's chest but to no avail.

Rumplestiltskin says to Killian," Killing me is gonna take a lot more than that, dearie."

" Even demons can be killed. I will find a way." Killian vows and Rumplestiltskin says," Well, good luck living long enough."

With that, he disappears in a puff of smoke, leaving Killian alone to pick up the hook.

Storybrooke, Present, Mines

In the mines, The Trader is chaining Belle to a mine cart to send her over the town line as the girl begs," Please. Please, please stop. What are you doing?"

The Trader answers," Sending you on a little ride under the town line. Once you cross, you'll forget who you were in the other realm and who you loved. This..."

He hands her a flash light and he continues," Should help you find the key. I left it at the bottom of the cart. Good luck."

The Trader pushes the wagon as Belle begs," Oh! William! I'm begging you! Please don't- don't do this! Please!"

Suddenly, the wagon screeches and stops and is pulled back by magic, causing Belle to scream out," Stop! What's happening?!"

She looks and she sees Mr. Gold using magic to pull Belle back and Ruby remarks out, impressed," That is seriously, wow."

Mr. Gold helps Belle up and he asks her in concern," Belle, are you all right?"

Belle quickly nods," I, uh, I think so."

Mr. Gold ask," Do you remember who I am?"

" I do. Rumplestiltskin. I- I remember." Belle nods but Mr. Gold realises that she wasn't smiling,wwww" What's wrong?"

Belle says to Mr. Gold frankly," Thank you for what you just did, but that doesn't change that you're too cowardly to be honest with me."

" But, Belle, I..." Before Mr. Gold could continue, Moe interrupts him," I tried to tell him that, Belle. Come with me, darling."

However, Belle refuses to follow Moe," After what you just tried to do to me? You're no better, father. You don't get to decide what I do or how I feel. I do. If either of you cared about me, you would've listened. I don't wanna see either of you again. Ever."

With that, Belle storms out of the mines, leaving Mr. Gold, Ruby, David and Moe behind.

Morning

The next day, Belle is sitting at the counter when Ruby serves her pancakes for breakfast.

Ruby then explains the dish to Belle," This one is a classic. The syrup goes on the pancakes the, um, round things. But I kind of like when it gets on everything."

Belle smiles as she thanks Ruby," You know, uh, thank you. And not just for this, but for everything."

" No worries. And stay here until you're on your feet. Granny will be fine with it. Oh, I almost forgot. Someone dropped this off for you at the front desk." Ruby says as she hands Belle a key.

Storybrooke Library

Soon, Belle reaches the library and as she uses the key to unlock the door, she heard a familiar voice saying to her," We may sit in our library, and yet be in all quarters of the earth."

Belle turns, seeing Mr. Gold before asking him," You gave me the key?"

Mr. Gold explains," I heard of your interest, and I, uh, I made some inquiries. There's an apartment for the caretaker if you want it."

" If- if this is some way to win me back after everything you..." Belle spoke and Mr. Gold quickly interrupts," That's-that's- that's not why I'm here. I came because...you're right...about me. I am a coward. I have been my entire life. I tried to make up for it by collecting power, and the power became so important that I couldn't let go...not even...when that meant losing the most important person in my life."

Belle gasps as she remembered what Rumplestiltskin shared to her before," Your son."

Mr. Gold nods," Baelfire is his name. After he left, I dedicated myself to finding him. I went down many, many paths until I found a curse that could take me to the land where he'd escaped."

" Here." Belle said and Mr. Gold nods," And I found myself in this little town with only one thing left to do. Wait for the curse to be broken so that I could leave and find him."

" But instead of looking for him, you- you brought magic." Belle mentions and Mr. Gold sadly admits," Because I'm still a coward. Magic has become a crutch that I can't walk without. And even if I could, I know now I can never leave this place."

" Because anyone who leaves forgets the people they love. So, when you go to look for Baelfire, you won't know him." Belle said and Mr. Gold agrees," Magic comes with a price. Belle, I have to break this new curse. That's why I was using magic, that night you saw me, down in the basement. I have lost so much that I loved. I didn't wanna lose you again without you knowing, everything. Good-bye, Belle."

As Mr. Gold turns to leave, Belle quickly stops him with a question," Do you, um, have you ever had a hamburger?"

Mr. Gold stops and he nods," Yes, of course."

" Well, I haven't. But I hear that Granny's makes a great one. Maybe- maybe we could, try it sometime?" Belle offers to which Mr. Gold smiles as he accepts her proposal," I would like that."

The Enchanted Forest, Past, Rumplestiltskin's Home

Rumplestiltskin comes over to a table were many items are on including a picture of Baelfire which he smiles at.

He opens Killian's hand, expecting to find the bean. He opens it to find it empty, causing him to angrily scream out," No. He tricked me!"

Rumplestiltskin then proceeds to push over his table, venting his anger by knocking down various items.

Jolly Roger

Meanwhile, Killian watches on sadly as Milah's body is being buried at sea, paying respect to the woman he loves.

At that moment, Killian heard a muffled voice screaming out," Hey! Hey!"

Killian turns, seeing the Trader being gagged by his men before he orders," Allow him to speak."

One of the pirate crew removes the gag as the Trader demands," I want my bean."

Killian Jones however, is not very accomodating to his request and he says to him threateningly," Let me tell you how it works on my ship. I make the demands. You follow them. The bean's now mine."

" You have to give me something for it." The Trader says and Killian agrees," Oh, I will. Your life. The chance to join my crew."

The Trader stares at Killian and he pouts," So instead of the promise of eternal life, I get to scrub blood off your decks. How is that right?"

Killian Jones then offers," What if I was to tell you I was about to set sail to a land where none of us will ever grow old? Where I can discover how to get my revenge on Rumplestiltskin?"

Upon hearing that, the Trader who also has bad blood with Rumplestiltskin smiles and he accepts the Pirate Captain's offer," I'd say I could live with that."

" Good." Killian then asks," What's your name, sailor?"

The Trader then introduces himself," William. William Smee."

Smee looks over at one of the shipmates that is wearing his red hat and he asks," Can I have my hat?"

Killian Jones gestures for the shipmate to give Smee his hat to which the shipmate throws it at him.

As Smee puts on his hat, Killian then welcomes his newest member of the Jolly Roger crew," Well, Mr. Smee, welcome aboard."

Killian then shows him the bean and as he throws it in the sea, he says to his crew," Harden up and get ready to set sail, mates! There's bumpy seas ahead."

William Smee then asks," What's the name of the place we're headed, Cap'n?"

Killian picks up the same hook he used to staff Rumplestiltskin with, puts it on his hand and twists it.

It clicks into place and he smiles, the hook now granting him the title Captain Hook to which he answers Smee's question," Neverland!"

He turns the ship's wheel as the wind howls and the ship sails into the sea portal.

Storybrooke, Present, Basement

In a basement somewhere in Storybrooke. Mr. Gold enters, and confronts William Smee's Storybrooke Counterpart, who he has tied up.

Mr. Gold then says to Smee," You're probably wondering why I brought you here. I found this in the mines, Mr. Smee."

Smee quickly apologises to Mr. Gold," I am so sorry. I didn't have..."

However, Mr. Gold interrupts Smee," I'm not interested in apologies. I'm interested in information about the man you work for."

" I'll tell you anything you wanna know about Moe." Smee blurts out but Mr. Gold shakes his head," No No. Not about Moe. Your Captain. Where is he?"

Smee quickly shakes his head, denying knowing about Captain Hook's location," I've never seen him in Storybrooke, I swear. For some reason, when the curse hit, it- it didn't take him."

" Then where is he?" Mr. Gold growls.

Enchanted Forest

Back in the Enchanted Forest, Captain Hook is standing at the beach looking through his telescope.

At that moment, Cora appears and she greets him," Hello, Hook."

Captain Hook turns and he greets Cora," Hello, Cora. You tell me you'd something important you needed to show me."

Cora shows him a bottle that has magic dust in it and Captain Hook groans out," Sparkly dirt. Wonderful."

Cora clarifies to Captain Hook what it is," Just the remains of a magical wardrobe, that can travel between worlds."

" Is it enough to get us where we need to go?" Captain Hook ask and Cora shakes her head," Not quite, but it's a start."

Captain Hook then asks," We're almost ready to set sail. What's our port of destination?"

" Storybrooke." Cora answers which causes Captain Hook to comment out," Hmm. Curious name. Is that where..."

" She is." Cora answers without waiting for him to finish while also adding," And so is he."

" Excellent. You'll be able to see your daughter and I can skin myself a crocodile." Captain Hook sneers, excited at the chance to get his revenge on Rumplestiltskin.
