Past, Enchanted Forest, Sky

Up in the sky, Nova is flying with a bag of Fairy Dust as the Blue Fairy looks on.

Nova comes crashing down into the clouds as the Blue Fairy yells out," Easy!"

" Sorry." Nova apologizes sheepishly as she goes to put the fairy dust down and the Blue Fairy reaches forward nervously

" Careful! Careful. Fairy dust is the most precious substance in all the land. Its magic is what powers the world. This is the year's supply. We must be cautious." The Blue Fairy emphasizes.

Nova nods her head," I know."

" Because next year, you'll be doing this alone." The Blue Fairy states, causing Nova to pout," I'll still be picking up dust? I thought I'd be a fairy godmother by then."

Blue Fairy laughs," Oh, Nova. You really are a dreamer. Your journey is just beginning. Can you make it home from the mines with all the dust safe?"

Nova nods her head and the Blue Fairy smiles," Okay."

The Blue Fairy flaps her wings and she flies away.

" Oh!" Nova exclaims as she grabs the fairy dust and flies after the Blue Fairy.

As she does this, some of the fairy dust spills out of the bag and began spiralling down into a hole in the ground.

Mine

In the mine nursery, the fairy dust falls on a dwarf egg.

The egg starts moving as Watchy notices it before alerting Bossy," This one's ready."

Bossy however, shakes his head," No, it's too early, Watchy. This unit isn't scheduled to hatch till sundown. "

Watchy starts using a stethoscope on the egg as he says," Well, someone's eager to get out before the rest of his brothers."

The egg starts making a cracking noise. Bossy and Watchy back away as the egg cracks open.

Peering out of the eggshell is a dwarf, with a happy grin on his face.

Bossy looks at him and he smiles, welcoming the still grinning dwarf," Welcome to the world, dwarf."

Present, Storybrooke. Granny's Diner

Inside Granny's Diner, Leroy is having breakfast just as Walter and Mr. Clark walk in.

Mr.Clark approaches Leroy to the booth and he asks Leroy," Excuse me, Leroy. Uh, do you mind scooting over a seat so Walter and I can sit together?"

Leroy however, snarkily snarls at the two," If I wanted to sit there I would've sat there. If you want a seat try dragging your sorry asses out of bed a little earlier."

Mr. Clark snorts,"  You're a real ray of sunshine as..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Mr. Clark began sneezing, right on Leroy's food.

Having enough,  Leroy tosses his fork and he says to the man sarcastically," Congrats. Just lost my appetite. Seat's all yours."

Just as he is about to leave, right at that moment, Mary Margaret enters.

She clears her throat," Excuse me."

She clears her throat again and calls out to the diners," Can I have everyone's attention, please?"

Everyone looks up, including Emma and Zatanna just as Mary Margaret spoke up,

" I'm sorry to interrupt your morning but I just wanted to remind everyone that a very special occasion is upon us. Miner's Day. As always the nuns of storybrooke are hoping that everyone will get involved and will help sell their exquisite candles. All we need are a few energetic volunteers. So who wants to join me?"

Everyone turns away, seemingly uninterested as they starts eating and talking again.

Both Zatanna and Emma looks at each other, disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm from the patrons.

Mary Margaret notices Leroy walking up to her and she asks him," Leroy, you wanna volunteer?"

Leroy however, says to her grumpily," I wanna leave, sister. You're blocking the door."

Mary Margaret quickly nods and she moves out of the way," Of course. Uh...You know, if you wanted to help it could really be a..."

Leroy sarcastically scoffs,"  Oh yeah, right. Quite a team we'd make. Town harlot, town drunk. The only person in this town people like less than me is you. If You're coming to me, you're screwed."

As Leroy leaves the diner, Mary Margaret has a disappointed look on her face and she walks out the door.

This prompts Emma follow to follow as Zatanna hands some dollar bills to Ruby," We're leaving. Keep the change."

Mary Margaret is walking as Zatanna and Emma rushes beside her with Emma asking," Hey. Mind if we join you? So, what the hell is Miner's Day and why are you beating yourself up over it?"

Mary Margaret explains with a melancholy tone," It's an annual holiday celebrating an old tradition. The nuns used to make candles and trade them with the miners for coal."

Emma raises an eyebrow," Coal? In Maine?"

Zatanna peers at the pier nearby and she comments," If they were mining lobster I'd understand."

Mary Margaret says to them," Look, I don't know. Now they use it as a fundraiser. It's an amazing party. Everyone loves it."

However, Emma is unconvinced," Really, judging by the way those people were acting, it doesn't seem like everyone loves it.

Mary Margaret shakes her head," It's not miners day- it's me. Last week I had 10 volunteers. This week they all dropped out."

" You think this is about what happened with David?" Zatanna asks and Mary Margaret nods," Oh, I know it is. A few of them told me as much. I've never...been a homewrecker before."

Zatanna assures her," Eh you're not so bad. Hell, I've dealt with a woman called Talia Al Ghul who tried to assassinate Bruce Wayne after news of his wife, Selina Kyle's pregnancy. They're alright if you are wondering."

" My goodness." Mary Margaret widens her eyes upon about Talia and she asks," Am I going to be like her?"

Emma says to her," Of course not. Don't worry about it. You made a mistake with David. It happens. You don't have to do charity to win people's hearts back."

Mary Margaret however, is determined to do so,

" I have to do something. And this is the best I can do. I've ruined my life."

Just then, Emma's phone rings, prompting her to answer it," Sheriff Swan. Yeah, I'll be right down"

Emma hangs up and she says to Zatanna," Well duty calls. Stay here. I'll get the car."

As Emma leaves to get the car, Zatanna places a hand on Mary Margaret's shoulder and she assures her in a comforting manner," Hang in there. And if there's anything I can do to help, I will."

" Oh. Thank you." Mary Margaret smiles as Zatanna looks up, seeing Emma driving towards them before she heads towards the sidewalk, boarding the car.

Church

Meanwhile at a church, a nun is painting a banner that reads "Miner's Day Is Here !"

Just as Leroy walks in the Nun accidentally spills some glitter on him.

The Nun, having an appearance that resembles Nova, looks down from the ladder and she apologizes," Oh. I'm so sorry. It just slipped out of my hand. I..."

Leroy however, smiles at her," No problem at all."

" I really am so sorry." The Nun gets down the ladder and starts brushing the glitter off of Leroy," I...I was so busy trying to get the lights to work that I didn't realize I was about to knock it off the ladder."

As she stop brushing the glitter off,  Leroy offers," Let me take a look at those lights for ya."

He climbs up the ladder, inspecting it before saying to her," Here's your problem. You're overloading the transformer. You can't mess around with these lights. The whole thing could've blown up on ya."

" Oh. Then I guess that makes you my hero." The Nun says to him appreciatingly only for Leroy to say," I'm nobody's hero, sister."

" Oh. " The Nun chuckles," You...can just call me Astrid."

" I call everybody sister." Leroy clarifies before introducing himself," I'm Leroy."

He switches the lights on, causing Astrid to gasp out in surprise," How did you do that? Are you an electrician?"

Leroy climbs down the ladder and he chuckles," I'm in the custodial services game."

" That's...wonderful." Astrid remarks only for Leroy to shake his head," No, it's not. What I really wanted to do was sail. I even bought a boat. It's a real clunker. I was gonna fix it up, sail around the world, say good-bye to this hellhole. Oh, I'm sorry sister."

" It's okay. You know, someone once told me "You can do anything as long as you can dream it." Astrid says optimistically.

" You really think so?" Leroy looks up as Astrid smiles," Sure! Look how easily you fixed those lights. I bet you could do anything. Oh."

She brushes off glitter from his moustache as she says," I should, uh, get back to the volunteer center. Nice to meet you, Leroy."

Astrid leaves, looking back at Leroy multiple times while almost bumping into people.

Leroy watches her, simply smiling.

Storybrooke town line.

Meanwhile at the town line, Zatanna and Emma are inspecting the damaged car.

Emma is taking pictures of the interior of the crashed car as Zatanna looks around, pointing out," Hey, isn't this Kathryn's car?"

" Yeah, really wonder why is it doing here? Or where she is for that matter." Emma says.

At that moment, a car parks just behind the Sheriff's car.

The door opens, revealing to be Sidney who then walks to the two women before asking," Mind if I take a look, too?"

" What for?" Emma questions and Sidney answers,

" Well, just because I got fired from 'The Mirror', doesn't mean I can't do a little freelance reporting."

He takes a picture of the car. Emma closes the passenger back door of the car as Sidney asks," So, what do we got here?"

" Gym teacher found this thing on the side of the road, abandoned, engine running, nobody around. Registered to Kathryn Nolan. She's MIA." Zatanna answers and Sidney raises an eyebrow," Kathryn Nolan? Whose husband very publicly left her?"

Zatanna stares at him as Sidney simply shrugs," I mean the story writes itself. If I get a scoop like that, the Daily Mirror would have no choice but to take me back."

" Calm down, tiger. You don't work for Regina anymore. Kathryn got accepted to a law school at Boston. Maybe after David dumped her, she decided to leave town. Car broke down, she hitched the rest of the way. That's what I would do if I was running away from my problems."

Emma theories as she opens the trunk of the car, revealing that Kathryn's suitcase is still in it

Sidney looks at it and he asks," And, uh, would you leave your clothes in the car?"

" Enough of this!" Emma slams the car trunk down and she says," Time to pull Kathryn's phone records. And find out who she spoke to last."

" Yeah, you know if you go through the Sheriff's department, it'll take you days to get those. I've got a contact over at the phone company who used to help me out when I was at the newspaper. I can get those in a couple hours." Sidney offers as Emma nods,

" Great. Call me the minute you get your hands on those phone records." Emma instructs.

" Uh guys." Zatanna says, attracting Sidney and Emma's attention as they look, seeing David's Truck arriving at the scene.

Sidney smiles," There he is."

" Time to break the news." Emma states as Sidney asks her," You really think he doesn't know?" Only for Emma to answer," I'm about to find out."

Past, Enchanted Forest, Dwarf Cave

In the dwarves caves the newly hatched dwarves are being cleaned and prepared.

" Arms up!" Bossy instructs as the Dwarf asks him," What am I?"

" You're a dwarf." Bossy answers as he prepares to clean the newly hatched dwarf.

" What am I doing?" The dwarf asks as Bossy answers," Being cleaned."

" Who is the woman I saw?" The dwarf asked, causing Bossy to look at him," What woman?"

" The one I saw right before I hatched. She was beautiful. I want to see her again." The dwarf smiles only Bossy to laugh out,

" Ha! You must be dreaming. There are no female dwarves. Dwarves don't fall in love, dwarves don't get married and dwarves don't have children. Why do you think you were hatched from an egg?

" Then what do we do?" The dwarf asks and Bossy answers," We work."" And we like it?" The dwarf asks.

" We love it. We even whistle while we do it."Bossy grins as he explains further," We mine the diamonds that get crushed into dust, that give light to the world. You and your seven brethren will bring joy to yourselves and to everyone. Come on. This is your team, these are your brothers. Everyone, grab an axe. It'll give you your dwarf name."

The other seven each grab an axe as their name appears on it, names like Sneezy, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Dopey, Stealthy and Sleepy.

The last dwarf grabs his which creates words that says," Dreamy"

" The axe never lies, Dreamy." Bossy smiles before addressing all the dwarves, " Okay, folks! Grab a lantern and move out. Today is the first day of the rest of your lives. Welcome to the mines!"

Present, Storybrooke, school

In one of the Storybrooke Schools, Leroy is walking up to Mary Margaret at her desk, with several nuns working around, saying to her," Where can I sign up?"

Mary Margaret is shocked as Leroy expresses out," What? I want to volunteer to sell candles."

" No you don't. You made that very clear this morning at Granny's." Mary Margaret shakes her head, unconvinced." Well..." Leroy looks over at Astrid and Mother Superior and he says,

" Maybe I saw the light. I mean, maybe somebody showed it to me. What difference does it make sister? It looks like you can use all the help you can get."

" Okay, I need help manning the candle booth. No swearing, no drinking. And I get to call all the shots." Mary Margaret says as across them,

The Blue Fairy, known as Mother Superior in Storybrooke, exclaims out in shock,"  You ordered how many tanks of helium?"

" I meant to order 12." Astrid says as Mother Superior sighs out in exasperation," You ordered 12 dozen. Ugh, return them."

Astrid shakes her head awkwardly," There are no refunds."

" We needed that money. You knew that. You know how he feels about us. You fix this, Sister Astrid. You fix it now." Mother Superior scolds and she turns around, leaving as Astrid sits down, sighing out.

Leroy walks up and he asks her in concern," Hey. What's the problem?"

" The problem is I'm an idiot." Astrid expresses out frustrated," We get a stipend each year for expenses, and it's all carefully budgeted, except for the part where I spent it all. On helium. And now we can't pay our rent."

" So you'll make it up when you get your next stipend." Leroy suggest only for Astrid to shake her head," Which isn't till next month. The rent is due next week. And the only income we have are these candles."

Leroy asks," Well how many do you need to sell?"

" Like a thousand." Astrid answers.

Leroy asks," How many did you sell last year."

" 42." Astrid answers.

Realizing her predicament,

Leroy suggests to her," Ask your landlord to cut you a break." Only for Astrid to shake her head," Oh. Mr. Gold doesn't offer much leeway."

The name causes Leroy to question out in shock," Mr. Gold's your landlord?"

Astrid nods," If we miss a payment, we're out. And then they'll reassign us, and we'll have to leave Storybrooke."

Leroy stands up and he vows to Astrid in a determined tone," No, you won't. You know why you only sold 42 last year? Because you didn't have me. This year we're going to sell all of them."

"Wow! Leroy, I guess you really are my hero." Astrid happily remarks out.

Leroy is flattered while Mary Margaret, who has been watching, is nervous about what she heard..

Storybook town line.

Meanwhile, David is staring at Kathryn's crashed car and he asks both Emma and Zatanna," She's just gone?"

" You really don't know anything, do you?" Emma asks as David backs away, his eyes wide in disbelief," I...I don't... I don't understand. Wh...what happened?"

Emma shakes her head," I don't know, that's what we're trying to find out. What can you tell us? When was the last time you spoke to Kathryn?"

" Yesterday afternoon." David answers.

Emma then states" Okay, look, I know there has been lies, and deceit, and I'm really not judging you, but is that the truth?"

David nods," Yes, I haven't spoken to her since we... I ended things. And I came over yesterday and all her things were gone. I assumed she was going to Boston. That's what she told me. Am I a suspect or something?"

" No. I know when people are telling the truth, David, and you are. She hasn't even been gone 24 hours. She's not even technically missing. But if she is, trust me, we will find her." Emma assures David

Storybrooke Town Hall.

Regina is sitting at her desk in her office, when a fax comes through.

The fax ends up printing out two pages of Kathryn's phone records

" Hmmm. " She pulls out her phone and dials a number, putting it on her ear as she spoke to the person on the other line," Hello, Sidney? Those phone records you wanted...I have them. And I think you'll find them quite helpful."

Past, Enchanted Forest, Mines

In the dwarves mines. Dreamy is shoveling rocks and minerals onto a conveyer belt, which brings them into a machine which grinds them into fairy dust, pouring them into a bag that Nova is examining, eventually she tries to grab a lever and push it, shouting," Come on. Help! Someone!"

Dreamy heard the voice and he runs in and pushes it, stopping the fairy dust from coming.

" Oh! Oh, thank you." Nova thanks Dreamy as she starts fussing with the bag and fixing it.

Dreamy stares at her and his eyes widens in recognition," It's you."

Nova stares at him in confusion," Do we... know each other?"

" You're the woman I saw in my dreams right before I hatched last year." Dreamy expresses out and Nova stares at him in disbelief," You're 1?"

Dreamy shrugs," I know. I look young for my age."

At that moment, Nova realizes that she placed the bag on a lift, and it rises, now out of her reach, causing her to exclaim out," Oh no! The fairy dust! Ooh! Oh!"

The bag is moved onto a conveyer belt which is moving to a furnace.

" Ah! Oh!" Nova screams out as Dreamy climbs up onto the conveyer belt and grabs it with his axe just in time, exciting Nova," Oh! Oh."

Dreamy gets down from the belt and gives the bag to Nova as she expresses out in frustration," Oh. Oh. I'm an idiot. All I ever wanted to be was a fairy godmother. That was my dream, but I can't even pick up fairy dust alone. I'm so clumsy."

However, Dreamy disagrees," No you're not. I think you'd make a great fairy godmother."

Nova looks at him," You really think so?"

" I believe you can do anything you want, as long as you can dream it." Dreamy nods.

Smiling, Nova then introduces herself," I'm Nova."

" I'm Dreamy." Dreamy introduces himself back to her.

" You know, Dreamy, as fairies we get to spend very little time in your world, and I was thinking about making a stop on my way back. Have you ever been to see the fireflies." Nova asks as Dreamy shrugs," I barely ever get out of the mines."

" Oh, I...I...I heard it's beautiful, that they come out just after sunset on firefly hill. I was going to see them tonight on my way back." Nova expresses out excitingly as Dreamy says to her," Oh, sounds fun. Have a good time."

" Dreamy?" Dreamy looks up as Nova thanks him again," Thanks. You're my hero."

She runs off, turning around to laugh as Dreamy smiles at her.

Present, Storybrooke, Fair

At Miner's Day event, Leroy and Mary Margaret are at a boot labeled candles, surrounded by candles.

Mary Margaret is holding one out at passerbys, trying her best to sell at least one," Buy your Miner's Day candles here! Handmade by Storybrooke's very own nuns! Light your way to a good cause, by buying a cand..."

She pauses and shakes her head, feeling pessimistic at how the passerbys are simply ignoring her," This isn't working."

" You're right, we should pack it up." Leroy states as he began packing up the candles

Mary Margaret stares at him," Now you're quitting?"

Only for Leroy to explain," If the customers don't come to us, we got to go to them. Door to door."

Mary Margaret doesn't feel optimistic by the approach," If they hate us here, what makes you think they'll like us in their homes?"

Leroy simply grins and he answers," Exactly. They'll pay us just to leave.

Meanwhile, Sydney is playing a carnival game run by a man resembling Dopey.

As Sidney loses, Zatanna and Emma walks up to him as the magician comments out,

" Wow, that was one of the attempts of all times."

" Well yeah, I do my best." Sidney shrugs as Zatanna hands the man a dollar bill,  asking him," Hey Dopey, mind if I try?"

" Dopey?" The man questions and Zatanna quickly corrects herself after realizing what she did," Sorry sir, I misspoke."

" Oh okay." The man takes the money from Zatanna as Emma questions Sidney," What the hell are you doing?"

" What happened?" Sidney asks as Emma explains," We just got off the phone with Kathryn's school in Boston. Registration was this morning and she never showed up."

" Something did happen." Sidney gasps as Emma agrees," Looks like that."

At that moment, Mary Margaret suddenly runs between them with Leroy behind her before consulting Emma," Emma, help me out. What's more sympathetic? Scarf or no scarf?"

Emma looks at her, confused and stutters a bit before giving her an answer," Scarf."

" Okay." Mary Margaret nods as Leroy urges," Come on, we're on a schedule."

" Thank you, gotta go." Mary Margaret thanks Emma and just as she and Leroy are about to leave, Zatanna quickly stops them," Wait, can I buy two please. One for me and Emma."

Leroy smirks, happy to make their first sale," Sure sister, that would be twenty bucks."

Zatanna hands them the cash, taking the candles as the two leaves.

As she hands one of them to Emma, Sydney stands confused for a second before questioning her," Why didn't you say anything? You're looking for a suspect. Someone with a motive. Pixie cut over there's got one a mile high."

" She had nothing to do with it, trust me." Emma disagrees

" But she's the one..." Sidney tries to accuse her only for Emma to cut him off," Trust me. I know her. Just give me those phone records."

As she walks off, Zatanna gives Sidney the stuffed tiger she won from the game and she says to Sidney," You're welcome."

As she leaves, Sidney stares at the tiger, looking at the label from a company that says," Talking Tawny"

Soon

Mary Margaret and Leroy go to their first house.

A man eating a carrot answers the door and a  woman then appears beside him.

Mary Margaret smiles and she says," Hi. We're selling candles for Miners Day."

" We're not interested." The woman simply says before shutting the door.

Mary Margaret and Leroy try several more houses, but their smiling faces began dropping as door after door, each house simply rejects and shuts their door in front of them.

Past, Enchanted Forest, Tavern

In the tavern, the dwarves are eating and drinking together after a days of work.

But while the dwarves are happily feasting and drinking, Dreamy is sitting off to the side by himself, not joining in with his brothers.

Noticing the way his fellow dwarf is acting Bossy joins him and he asks him in concern," What's the matter? You barely touched your food."

Dreamy shakes his head as he answers," I don't know. I can't eat, I can't sleep, I don't feel at all like myself. Maybe I should have Doc take a look at me."

" You're going to trust a dwarf that got his medical degree from a pick axe? I wouldn't worry about it. Dwarves don't get sick. It must be in your head." Bossy says to Dreamy dismissively.

However, a voice disagrees with Bossy," It's not in his head...it's in his heart."

Bossy and Leroy looks, seeing Belle at the table next to them as she continues," You're in love. "

Bossy stares at her in disbelief," Well, that's impossible. Dwarves can't fall in love."

" Trust me. I know love, and you're in it." Belle disagrees as she says to Dreamy, causing Bossy to dismissively waves his hand before joining the others.

Dreamy then asks Belle," What's it like?"

" It's the most wonderful and amazing thing in the world. Love is hope. It fuels our dreams. And if you're in it, you need to enjoy it. Because love doesn't always last forever." Belle explains.

Dreamy looks down and he sighs out," But, if love's so great, then why do I feel so bad right now?"

" You need to be with the person you love." Belle advices.

Dreamy sighs out and he asks her pessimistically," Yeah, but how do I know she feels the same way? All she talked about was going to see some fireflies...not loving me."

" What... what did she tell you about these fireflies?" Belle asks as Dreamy answers," Uh, that she was going to go see them on the hilltop tonight. That she heard they were the most beautiful sight in all the land. What?"

Dreamy questions as Belle smiles, smitten, as she clarifies Nova's words to the dwarf," She wasn't telling you about the fireflies. She was inviting you to go be with her"

" You think so?" Dreamy asks as Belle nods, remembering her time with Rumplestiltskin as she coaxes Dreamy," I've had my heart broken enough to know when somebody's reaching out. Now go. Find your love, find your hope, find your dreams."

Present, Storybrooke, Volunteer Center

Astrid is picking up the plums  that she dropped, when Leroy enters the Volunteer Center.

Mary Margaret watches from the other side of the room as Leroy addresses her," Sister Astrid?"

Astrid looks up and she greets Leroy," Hi. Leroy"

" I have to talk to you. See, I have some bad news." Leroy says to her.

"Oh, no. What is it?" Astrid asks.

"The bad news is, that... That... You nuns are going to be real busy making candles, cause me and Mary Margaret just sold them all. You're not losing the convent. You're not going anywhere." Leroy lies.

However, upon hearing that, Astrid smiles, happy as she hugs Leroy, believing his lie.

Afterwards, Mary Margaret pulls Leroy aside, questioning his actions," How could you tell Astrid that we sold all those candles? That is five thousand dollars, Leroy. Five thousand dollars that we don't have."

" Don't worry about it, alright? I got a plan." Leroy assures her as Mary Margaret haughtily questions back," What plan? A plan like going door to door and having everyone in town laugh in our faces? We're lucky that we even made twenty dollars and those were from Zatanna."

" Just give me till the end of the day. I'll figure something out." Leroy promises.

Mary Margaret stares at him and she questions," And why is this so important to you?"

" The nuns... They're going to have to leave." Leroy stutters.

Realization dawns on Mary Margaret as expresses out condescendingly," Oh, my God. You like her! She is a nun, Leroy. Could you possibly pick anyone any less available?"

" Says the girl who went after a married guy?"Leroy retorts," At the end of the day, you're no better than I am. You got your reasons for being here, I got mine. And when I say I'm going to get that five thousand dollars, I'm going to get that five thousand dollars."

Past, The Enchanted Forest, Hill

Dreamy runs through the forest up a hill, running until he reaches the top.

There stood Nova, waiting as she looks, smiling as she sees Dreamy," I didn't think you were going to show up"

" I was afraid I was too late." Dreamy pants as Nova says," Well, you did cut it pretty close. Come on."

She brings the two of them to a clearing at the edge of the hill where they got a good view on the land below.

Dreamy stares at the bright lights at the bottom and he comments out in awe," Wow! Look at all those lights. Are those the fireflies?"

" No! That's the village." Nova corrects him.

" Oh." Dreamy says as Nova explains," And, beyond that, all the lights of the kingdom."

" You've seen a lot of this world, haven't you?" Dreamy looks at her as she nods," From a distance, yes."

" What's wrong with that?" Dreamy asks as Nova explains," Flying over the world and being a part of it aren't exactly the same thing."

Dreamy comments," Well, at least you've seen the world. Me? I live in the mines, underground. All I ever see is diamonds and dirt and dwarves."

As the two sat together, Dreamy proposes to her," You know... We could see it together. Get a boat, sail all over, explore everything the world has to offer."

Suddenly, hundreds of fireflies appears around them, causing Nova to exclaim out," Oh, look!"

As the fireflies flies around them, Nova plants a kiss onto Dreamy's cheek and she offers," Okay, let's do it. Tomorrow night, after I drop off the dust, let's meet back here. We'll run off together. We'll see the world."

" Sounds like a dream come true." Dreamy nods, smiling.

Present, Storybrooke, Docks

At the docks, Leroy tries to sell his boat to Mr. Gold as he persuades him,"  Now, I know it's a bit of a fixer-upper, could probably use a new coat of paint, a few spritzes of Febreze here and there, but you can't tell me that five thousand's not a reasonable price for this beauty."

" Three thousand, I think." Mr. Gold offers only for Leroy to refuse," I need five. "

Mr. Gold looks at him," You need five? To what do we owe the specificity?"

" Trying to help out a friend." Leroy answers and Mr. Gold simply comments," Oh, I see."

" Look, you don't even have to pay me anything. Just forgive one month's rent for the nuns." Leroy persuades as Mr. Gold stares at him," The nuns? "

Leroy then offers further," You can have the boat. They'll pay you back eventually. It's a good deal. You get everything. "

" So, that's what this is about." Mr. Gold expresses out as Leroy says," Come on...you're a rich guy. You can afford to give them time to make up one month's, right?"

Mr. Gold nods," You're right...I could."

" So, great." Leroy says but Mr. Gold however, refuses," But I won't. I have a fairly specific rental agreement. If they miss a payment, I'm within my rights to evict."

" Oh, come on. Why don't you..." Leroy expresses out in outrage as Mr. Gold interrupts him by commenting out disdainfully," And, quite honestly, it's going to be a great relief to be rid of such distasteful tenants."

Leroy stares at him," You don't like nuns? Who doesn't like nuns?"

" Oh, I have my reasons. And they're mine. Let's just say, I have a long and complicated history with them, and leave it at that." That was all Mr. Gold says before he turns around, leaving Leroy to go into the cabin of the boat.

Soon Astrid arrives. Leroy goes back outside and sees she has a pie as she calls out," Hello?"

" Astrid!" Leroy exclaims as he meets up with her.

Astrid then says," Mary Margaret said I might find you down here. I... I made you a pie. It's the least I could do after all your help."

" Oh." Leroy smiles, as he takes the pie.

" Oh, this boat is great! It's going to be amazing when you get it out on the water. I can't even remember the last time I was on it..."

However, Astrid looks down, noticing something underneath a tarp.

" What... What's this?" She pulls back the tarp, revealing boxes of candles underneath it.

Shocked, Astrid looks at Leroy, look back at the candle before looking back at Leroy, questioning him," If you sold all the candles, why are they still here, Leroy?"

Ashamed, Leroy could do nothing else but confess," I didn't sell them all. I tried to, but nobody wanted to buy them from me. I was going to tell you the truth, but I was afraid of letting you down."

" So, you lied." Astrid states, upset as Leroy apologizes to her," I'm sorry, Astrid. I guess you believed in the wrong guy."

Sheriff Station

Meanwhile, at the station, Emma is looking at pictures from the crash site on a bulletin board while Zatanna is searching through Kathryn's luggage, saying to Emma," Strange, everything is all intact. There were no signs of a struggle and the luggage is undamaged along with her possessions untouched."

" Yeah, it's pretty weird." Emma agrees.

Right at that moment, Sidney enters with a folder, prompting the two to look up and Emma asks," You find something?"

He hands Emma the folder," Kathryn's phone records. Every call she made the day she crashed her car. Including an eight minute call between her and David within an hour of the accident. "

" That's not possible. He said he didn't speak to her that day." Emma shakes her head only for Sydney to say," Then, he's lying."

" No. I know when someone is lying, and David..." Emma tries to deny but Sidney cuts her off," It's right here on paper, Emma. Phone records don't lie...people do. And our friend David does it better than most. Don't beat yourself up over this. You're not the only person David fooled."

Granny's Diner

Meanwhile at Granny's Diner, Mary Margaret is having a drink when Leroy comes in and sits next to her, saying to the bartender," I'll have what she's having."

" Well? Did you get it?" Mary Margaret asks as  Leroy replies,"  What do you think?"

Mary Margaret sighs out," I think you're right. I was dreaming if I thought the town harlot and the town drunk could accomplish anything."

" Yeah." Leroy agrees," Just dreaming."

Past, Enchanted Forest, Dwarf Home

At night while the other dwarfs are sleeping, Dreamy attempts to sneak out.

However, unknown to Dreamy, Stealthy is awake.

Stealthy clears his throat to make himself known, causing Dreamy to turn to look at him,
"  Stealthy."

The noise wakes the other dwarves, causing them to get up as Stealthy offers," You know, if you wanted to sneak out, you should've come to me."

" You're leaving us?" Sneezy asks as Doc adds," Without even saying good bye?"

"B...but where you going?" Sneezy asks as Dreamy replies," To be with Nova. We're in love. We're going to see the world together."

"I don't understand." Stealthy says," I thought we were meant to live our lives here...in the mines."

Dreamy nods," I thought so, too. But things change when you fall in love. Suddenly, anything seems possible. Sneezy hands Grumpy an axe, saying," Well, take this with you. It might come in handy."

However, Dreamy declines,"  I don't need it anymore."

With that the dwarves embraces Dreamy for one last time, saying goodbye to their brother.

Soon

As Dreamy heads through the forest towards Firefly Hill, unknown to him Bossy has followed him.

Bossy steps out and he says to Dreamy," You can't do this, Dreamy. You can't go to her."

" Why not?" Dreamy questions as Bossy replies," You have a responsibility. To mine the diamonds we make into fairy dust."

" But, I love her." Dreamy looks down only for Bossy to state," You're a dwarf, Dreamy. We're not capable of love. It's not how we're made."

" But, what if I'm different? What if you're wrong?" Dreamy argues.

At that moment, The Blue Fairy appears next to Bossy, saying to Dreamy," Bossy's not wrong, young one. What you feel...it's just a dream."

" Who are you?" Dreamy asks and The Blue Fairy introduces herself," I'm Nova's teacher. And if the two of you run away together, it will not end well. Nova will lose her wings. But, if you return to the mines, and if you allow Nova to become the fairy that she was meant to be, the two of you will bring untold joy to the world. Nova can be a great fairy...if you let her. The choice is yours."

Present, Storybrooke, Granny's Diner

Mary Margaret and Leroy are still drinking at the diner as she says to him," Leroy, you understand that a relationship between you and Sister Astrid can never happen?"

Leroy however, disagrees," Yeah, yeah. My whole life people made it their business to tell me what I can't do. She was the first person that said I could do anything. Who believed in me. I didn't want to disappoint her."

" But there are consequences to following through when the world tells you not to. I mean, look at me. I am a pariah in this town." Mary Margaret says to Leroy.

Leroy then asks," What about your good memories?"

" What do you mean?" Mary Margaret questions.

Leroy then further explains," Didn't you have moments with him that you love? Do you regret them?"

Mary Margaret shakes her head," No, of course not."

" Isn't that what life's about? Holding on to your good memories? All I wanted was a moment with Astrid. One moment to give me hope that any dream's possible. You've had all that, Mary Margaret. So, stop feeling sorry for yourself and enjoy it. Because I haven't." Leroy states strongly.

Mary Margaret however, is still not feeling positive about the whole fiasco," Well, if I had the dream, I'm sorry to say, it wasn't worth it."

" And sitting here drinking won't end this pain." Leroy says as Mary Margaret questions," What will?"

Leroy grins as he answers," I can only think of one thing."

Rooftop

At the Miner's Day festival, Leroy, who has a pick axe, is on the roof of one of the buildings.

He sees a transformer near him and he grins," Perfect."

Mary Margaret also climbs onto the roof, thinking he is about to jump, quickly yells to him," Leroy! What are you doing? Please, don't do it!"

Leroy quickly tells her," I'm not going to jump."

" You're not?" Mary Margaret questions and Leroy scoffs," No, are you crazy? I could hit someone. You know how much damage I could do? I'm solidly built."

" Leroy, what are you doing up here?" Mary Margaret questions as Leroy holds up his pick axe, answering her question," I'm going to get my moment."

" Wait! Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! What?" Mary Margaret yells out as Leroy says to her,"  You might want to duck."

Mary Margaret ducks as Leroy swings his pick axe, striking at the transformer.

Within seconds, the power goes out at the festival.

Mary Margaret looks at Leroy, questioning his action, "What are you doing?"

" I'm selling candles, sister." Leroy simply answers.

Past, Enchanted Forest, Hill

Nova is waiting at the clearing at the edge of the hill when at that moment, Dreamy arrives.

Upon seeing him, Nova happily urges him," Dreamy, come on! I have to show you something."

However, Dreamy states,"  Nova, we need to talk."

" No, you have to see this." Nova uses her magic to conjure a telescope and she hands it to Dreamy," Take a look."

He looks through the telescope and spots a boat on the water, remarking out," It's amazing."

Nova smiles as she explains," It has everything we need to explore the world. Supplies, maps of all the kingdoms, a sturdy sail..."

However, Dreamy interrupts her by saying," Nova. I can't go with you."

Nova looks at him, shocked by what he said and she quickly questions," What about our life together? Our dream?"

" I'm a dwarf, Nova. I belong in the mines. You belong with the other fairies, and that's never going to change." Dreamy states.

Nova however, refuses to believe his words," Dreamy, you control what changes in your life. Never let yourself forget...you're special."

" Why?" Dreamy questioned," What makes us different from any other dwarf and fairy out there?"

" Our love." Nova tries to convince him but Dreamy puts her off,"  I don't think it's love. It's a dream...we need to put it away."

Nova shakes her head, refusing to do so," I don't want to put it away."

" I'm not your dream, Nova. Your dream's to be a fairy godmother, and you can still be that." Dreamy states.

Upon hearing that, Nova stares at him," You talked to the Blue Fairy."

" It doesn't matter." Dreamy says as Nova asks," What did she say?"

" It doesn't matter." Dreamy repeats and

Nova demands loudly," What did she say?"

" Nova!" Dreamy shouts," What matters is, I can't stand in the way of your happiness."

" You're my happiness! I love you. Don't you love me?" Nova asks Dreamy sadly.

Dreamy looks at her, shaking his head as he sadly says," I'm a dwarf...I can't love."

Soon

In the mines, the dwarves are hard at work as Bossy motivates them," Let's pick up the pace, boys! We're making magic here!"

Just then, Dreamy enters the mines, causing everyone to stop and look at him.

" Where's my axe? Where's my axe?" Dreamy grumpily demands.

Sneezy smiles as he greets him," Dreamy! You're...back!"

Bossy hands Grumpy a pick axe and he says to him happily," Well, heigh-ho, boys! Good to have you back, Dreamy."

" No place I'd rather be. Heigh-ho." Dreamy simply says before pounding at the rock.

Hit after hit, Dreamy furiously pounds at the rock, causing the other dwarves to stop and stare at him.

At that moment, the handle broke upon impact causing Dreamy to order Bossy," Bossy...hand me another axe."

" Here you are, Dreamy." Bossy says as he hands Dreamy a new pickaxe.

Dreamy grabs the pickaxe, staring at it as on the handle, a new name appears on it.

"Grumpy"

" It's Grumpy now." That was all Grumpy says, embracing his new name.

Present, Storybrooke, Fair

All of the people at the Miner's Day festival mob Mary Margaret and Leroy to buy candles.

Mary Margaret then notices that all of the boxes are empty before exclaiming to him excitedly," Leroy. We sold out."

The two of them embraces, celebrating their moment of success together.

They see Astrid standing with the other nuns before Mary Margaret urges Leroy," Well, go on – give her the news. Have your moment."

Leroy brings the box of money over to the group of nuns, prompting Astrid to excuse herself," Excuse me."

The other nuns leave, leaving Astrid and Leroy alone.

Leroy then hands Astrid the box money, grinning," Five thousand bucks. Piece of cake."

Astrid looks and she asks him happily," You sold them all?"

Leroy shrugs as he acknowledges Mary Margaret's efforts," I had a little help."

" You made it happen." Astrid acknowledges as Leroy says," You have no idea."

" I don't know what to say." Astrid gasps and Leroy simply says," You're welcome. Listen...that boat of mine? I'm going to fix it up. And, well, maybe you could be my first passenger."

Astrid smiles and she takes up to his offer," I'd like that."

Leroy grins as he declares," Well, then, that's what we'll do, sister."

" Oh. It's beautiful, isn't it?" Astrid says, causing the two to look around the festival.

Everyone around them are all holding the lit candles.

Across from them, Zatanna was holding her candle as she smiles at them, silently congratulating the pair," Nicely done."

She smiles as she says to the two quietly," Grumpy. Nova. You've made your dreams come true."

Sheriff's Station

Back at the Sheriff's Station, Emma is looking over Kathryn's phone records at the station. noticing that the name 'D. Nolan' is highlighted.

At that moment, Regina enters the office, causing Emma to assure her," If this is about the blackout, Zatanna got the guys from the power company down there working on it. "

Regina however, isn't here for that," That's not why I'm here. It's been twenty-four hours since my friend, Kathryn, went missing. Have you found anything?"

" I found something. I just don't know what it means." Emma answers and Regina demands," Well, what is it?"

Emma refuses to answer Regina," At this point in the investigation, it's best I don't divulge that information."

" If you're covering for someone, if you're not doing your job, Sheriff Swan, I'll find someone who will." Regina growls, threatening Emma.

Festival

At the end of the festival, Mary Margaret makes a 'sold out' sign and puts it at the front of the candle booth.

She walks to her car, which still has the word 'tramp' spray painted on it.

She stares at it for a moment, and then decides to go back to the Miner's Day festival.

However, Granny stops her and relights Mary Margaret's candle with the light of her own.

As Mary Margaret walk past, she didn't notice David who is watching her.

At that moment,  Emma approaches him, causing David to turn as he greets her," Emma."

" David, we need to talk." Emma says grimly as David asks," Did you get a hold of Kathryn?"

Emma shakes her head," No, I'm afraid not."

" Then, what is it?" David question as Emma answers," I need you to come to the sheriff's station with me and tell me everything."

David apologizes to Emma," I'm sorry. I thought I already did."

" So did I." Emma agrees.

Emma leads David to the back seat of her squad car. Mary Margaret looks on worriedly as Zatanna appears next to her, assuring," He will be okay. Don't worry. I'm gonna head back to the station and see what Emma got."

Past, Enchanted Forest, Port

Back in the Enchanted Forest, next to the boat where Nova and Dreamy would have ran away, something bursts out of the water and drops onto the port.

The figure is Prince Orm, the Ocean Master, the new Ruler of Atlantis.

While the Ocean Master is panting, Zatara looks down with Zatanna next to him as he says to him," This is your last warning Orm. Go back to Atlantis and call off your troops or else this is where your story ends."

The Ocean Master growls before retreating back into the water,  reluctantly giving up the fight.

As Ocean Master leaves, Zatanna notices the boat and she calls to Zatara," Look father."

Zatara turns, asking Zatanna," What is it my dear?"

" A boat!" Zatanna hops in, looking through the stuff as Zatara admires it," This craftmanship is amazing."

" Look at this!" Zatanna says as she saw all the maps, supplies and even names carved on the side of the boat.

Zatara looks and he reads," Dreamy and Nova"

" So who do you think they are?" Zatanna asks as Zatara replies,

" I do not know Zatanna. But I do know this. This is the vessel of dreams. Dreams that these two share and dreams that they want to persue."

" Do you think they will reach their dreams?" Zatanna asks and Zatara simply answers," That will be up to them to make it happen. Come Zatanna. Atlantis may no longer pose a threat but we must make our way to Kahndaq. There is political uncertainty happening between the Kingdom and Kahndaq and we need to convince their King, Teth Adam to stop before another war can escalate."

Zatanna nods as she leaves, putting down what looks like a candle on the seat.
