"if kaitlyn ever breaks up with me, i'm going full joe goldberg on her ass." walker deadpanned, looking straight at the camera as kaitlyn opened her mouth in shock.

"walk-er." she gasped through her laughter. "i don't think you can just say that..."

"what? i am. i'm gonna follow you around the grocery store and trap you in my basement. i think. i've never actually watched that show." 

"and what are you going to do after you trap me in the basement?" she crossed her arms. 

he crossed his arms back, mocking her and mimicking her tone of voice as he said "keep you there forever and ever so i can look at your pretty face and make you fall back in love with me."

"okay, creepy. also, who said i wouldn't still be in love with you?" she gave him a big, cheesy grin.

"awwww."

"well, i wouldn't be after you locked me in the basement." she shoved his shoulder.

"i'll lock you in the living room so you can watch tv all day. and i'll feed you all your favorite foods. little food through your little cage."

"i can't decide whether to think that's sweet or incredibly horrifying."

"we're not going to break up." walker said confidently, wrapping his arms around kaitlyn and kissing her cheek.

"awww." kaitlyn felt a surge of love for her boyfriend just like she had the first time he'd said it in the conference room, but then her heart sank a little. he couldn't say that anymore. not when they'd already broken up. not when it'd already been a lie.

"...she's mine forever and ever." he gave the camera a demonic smile as kaitlyn shoved away, squealing, and he tried to yank her back closer to him.

"okay, this little lovefest we have going on here is gross. also, very cute. sometimes when i look at you two i don't know whether to barf or sing 'joy to the world'." kaitlyn's head snapped up. xochitl gomez appeared in the frame, grinning.

"XOCH!" kaitlyn jumped into her arms. walker ran over, his socks making him slip a little on the kitchen floor as kaitlyn and xochitl caught him and pulled him into their hug.

"i missed you so much oh my god." kaitlyn squealed as they broke away. she examined her friend's face. xochitl was practically glowing with happiness, as she always was, she had on the coolest outfit ever, as she always did, and her lips were painted red, as they always were. 

"i missed you too." walker agreed with kaitlyn. then a strange expression came onto his face as he tried to work out a way to ask xochitl why she was there, and if any other of their friends had come with her. specifically, one of their friends.

xochitl took one quick look at his face and knew exactly what he was about to ask. she was just good at reading people like that. "oh, relax, bat boy. brady was just parking the car. he should be on his way in."

"BRADY!" walker yelled as he heard the door jingle, throwing himself at dark-haired, smiling brady noon just as kaitlyn had xochitl. "WALKER!" kaitlyn rushed over and gave him a hug too. "BRADY!"

"look, it's LITTLE LYN!" he grinned at her, pulling her into a hug. that was the nickname xochitl had come up with. xochitl had already been calling her "little" because of her height difference with basically everybody, and one day she smacked the end of kaitlyn's name "lyn" onto the name and it stuck. brady caught on, and now it was their special nickname for her, and she loved it, no matter how often she pretended to hate it.

she rolled her eyes. "oh boy, it's big ol' brady." she said sarcastically, reluctantly going along with their age-old bit, as he laughed and ruffled her hair. 

"guys- where have you been? how come we haven't seen you in like six months?" walker asked.

they looked at each other and then at the phone camera. "stop streaming and we'll tell you."

kaitlyn's eyes widened. "how did you even know we were streaming?"

"my spidey sense was tingling." xochitl joked as kaitlyn said a quick loveyouallthankssomuchforwatchingbye and ended the livestream. brady rolled his eyes and leaned over to walker, whispering "she was watching lyn's live from her spam account in the car."

"okay, let's sit down." xochitl sat walker and kaitlyn down on the couch, her and brady sitting on the coffee table.

"are you guys dating?" kaitlyn blurted before smacking her hand over her mouth.

"did you break up?" walker asked immediately after the words had left kaitlyn's mouth. 

brady and xochitl had a strange little will-they-wont-they thing going on where they were positively in love with each other, and they both sort of knew it, but they weren't dating, but they weren't dating anyone else, either. kind of like walker and kaitlyn used to be, but a little less oblivious.

a lot less oblivious, actually.

brady and xochitl took about three minutes to stop falling over themselves with laughter before they caught their  breath. "no. neither. we've just been working on a really cool project." xochitl focused on walker. "hint hint. it rhymes with barbel boobie." brady snorted.

"barbel boo-" walker sat for a second, brows furrowed, trying to deciepher it. this boy really was dumb sometimes. "barbie-? wait. MARVEL MOVIE?"

brady nodded, his blue eyes crinkling in a smile. "we can't say too much. mostly because you're both the tom hollands of percy jackson. but that's why we haven't been around."

kaitlyn feigned outrage before practically melting into the same puddle of excitement walker was in. he interrogated brady as kaitlyn giggled with xochitl on the other side.

"wait, this is so exciting," kaitlyn said, "but i'm way more excited to just see you guys again. can we please hang out? you guys and me charlie aryan dior leah and walker? oooh, and momona?"

"yes, please!"
