Obito had been recovering in the hospital for nearly two weeks since his return. He agreed to stay until he fully recovered from his injuries. But what Minato and Kakashi questioned was how the right side of Obito's body wasn't crushed like they thought it was before. Obito just told them that it was his Sharingan that saved him, that it allowed him to slip through objects.

Even though the majority of Obito's memories of the alternate life he lived began to fade, he still remembered Madara and what he did to him up until the war. He just wanted to live out his fresh start and make sure Madara stays in the grave.

It was Obito's last day in the hospital and he was really excited to get out. Mainly because he would get to spend the day with you. As the doctor knocked and came into the room, he found Obito doing push ups beside his bed. The doctor sighed and approached him.

"Eager to be released now, are we?" The doctor chuckled as he grabbed the clipboard with Obito's information from beside the bed. Obito grinned as he got up from the floor and sat down. All of his bandages were removed and he felt more lively than ever to step out into his new reality. The doctor smiled as he proceeded with Obito's re-evaluation.

"Yeah! I can't wait to get back to my friends and get back to training!" Obito spoke as he clenched his fist. All he could think about was your smile and how happy he was to get another chance with you.

Then suddenly, the door slams open to reveal a very familiar red-haired woman. Obito's jaw dropped when he realized who it was. It was his sensei's scary wife, Kushina. She had an angry frown and started stomping towards Obito. He panicked as she got closer, turning paler with each step she took.

When she was in front of him, it looked like she was about to punch him. Obito braced himself for the impact of her fist, but was shocked when Kushina didn't actually hit him. Instead, she hugged Obito and was trying to contain her tears.

"You idiot...! Don't you ever scare me like that again... you still have to become Hokage!" Kushina spoke as she tightened her grip on Obito. He blushed as tears formed in his eyes. Obito wanted to stop his habit of crying, but it was moments like this that broke him down. In his other life, he didn't think anyone missed him. He thought no one had been suffering since he 'died'. Yet, to learn that it was the complete opposite made him emotional and regret the decisions he made even more.

"I'm sorry... I'm so sorry for making everyone sad and worried..." Obito cried as he lost control over his emotions. Kushina pulled away from him to smile softly at him. Obito saw her puffy eyes and then looked passed Kushina to see Minato standing at the door.

"What matters now is that you're back. You're really behind now, you have to catch up to Kakashi and (Name)! No more slacking!" Kushina yelled as she held her fist in front of her. Obito frowned from her words.

"I know that already! And it's not like I've been slacking lady! I've been recovering, now gimme a break!" Obito yelled back at Kushina, he felt like she only thought he was being lazy instead of building his strength. A tick mark appeared on Kushina's face as she smiled. Then she punched Obito as her scary aura had returned.

~ To (Name) ~

You just finished getting dressed for the day and had been brushing your hair while looking at the mirror in your room. You stopped for a second and remembered when you first saw Obito in the hospital. It was like a dream had become a reality. He was back, and now you had a second chance to confess your feelings to him. That's exactly why you asked Obito to hang out with you today, you weren't going to get another chance like this again. You almost lost him forever, but now that he's back you weren't going to back down.

"Obito... I l-like..." you tried to say in the mirror before you turned into a blushing mess. Planning to confess to him was easy. Actually doing it... is a different story.

You had breakfast with your parents before you walked out of the house towards the hospital. Your legs slowly went from walking to running and they wouldn't stop. Only smiling as you ran, you desperately wanted to see him. You noticed the streets started to get crowded, but that wasn't going to stop you. You ran up to the top of a building and started jumping from building to building. Your friends tried to greet you but you only waved and returned your focus back to reaching the hospital.

When you landed in front of the hospital doors, you froze as you saw Obito walk outside with your sensei and his wife. You then noticed Kakashi walk towards the group from a different direction. Both the plans you and Obito had spent a week planning out had been ruined by your teammates. You sighed as Kakashi reached you and raised his eyebrow.

"You okay, (Name)?"

"Yeah, I'm swell." You spoke sarcastically until the rest of the group approached you and Kakashi.

"Hey, Kakashi and (Name)! I was thinking that you guys should come over for dinner! It's been so long and this is the right occasion for dinner! What do you say?" Kushina spoke with a sparkle in her eyes as Minato was sweat dropping behind her. You didn't want to make Kushina sad so you only had one option.

"That sound a great idea!" You said as you played off your fake smile, when in reality you just wanted alone time with Obito. Kakashi sighed and grabbed your shoulder. He knew very well about your feelings for Obito, you told him everything since you only had each other after Obito was gone and Rin died. You gave Kakashi a pleading look, hoping he could persuade Kushina into pushing the dinner to another time. Kakashi only shrugged and shook his head.

"Great! Have fun at training, you guys!" Kushina yelled happily as she walked away from the group. The three of you were surprised when she said you were training.

"Wait, what?! I just got out of the hospital! And we're training now?!" Obito yelled at Minato as he was freaking out. Both you and Kakashi only sighed as this was to be expected.

"Well, we need to work on modifying our teamwork again now that you're back Obito. I have no doubt we'll be assigned to some missions soon." Minato smiled as he started walking ahead of the group towards the training grounds. Obito sighed with frustration. He looked at as you frowned and started following Minato.

'I have to make it up to (Name) later...'
