Jeffory's POV

I walked over to Travis' house to hang out with him. He obviously doesn't know that but thats the thing, just thought that maybe it could be a little surprise.

I knocked on their door and Dante opened it. Oh yeah, Dante and Travis are roommates.

"Hey Jeffory, what are you doing here?"

"Hi Dante, I waa wondering if Travis is here."

"Sorry, Travis went off to work. If you want, you can stay here for a bit. I wanna shiw you something really cool."

"Uhh sure, I don't mind."

He let me in amd he closed the door behind us.

He led me upstairs and while walking, he said,

"Basically, Travis kept some of his old high school stuff in a box and was able to look at them. I was able to get his permission to also look at his high school things before he left. Maybe you would want to look at them yourself as well."

Hmmm....That honestly seems interesting. I never really got the chamce to know about Travis. The only thing I know aboit him was that he amd Dante were friends back in high school, Aphmau was also friends with Travis, amd that he amd Katelyn went to prom together.

"Sure, I don't mind."

"Great." He smiled.

We finally made it to the second floor of the house and arrived at his bedroom. I then see a box on his bed woth a label 'Pheonix Drop High'.

"Here it is, Travis' old stuff back in high school. I was able to look through all of them." He said while I walked towards it and look through his stuff.

He had a varsity jacke- Wait HOW IN THE WORLD DOES HE HAVE A VARSITY JACKET????

"Hey Dante?"

"Yeah?"

I lift up the jacket and showed it to him,

"He was part of a varsity of our school?"

"Oh yeah, he did. He was on the varsity sw team for all freshman, sophomore, junior and senior years. Pretty impressive right?"

"I honestly never knew. Katelyn never told me about this."

"Katelyn never knew either. The only ones who knew about this was me, Aphmau, Vylad, Garroth, Laurance, Kawaii-Chan and his siste."

"Wow...he seems to be a really great swimmer."

"He is..up untill now he joins swimming sessions on the weekends."

I nodded. This dude is quite impressive.

I was able to look at some old photos like his club pictures from theatre club, his friends, and prom.

I also soon came across a letter which was for Katelyn...made by Travis.

Dante noticed this and soon said, "Oh...That letter was for Katelyn back in high school. He wasn't able to give it to her because that was the time he already found out about you guys being a thing. He didn't want to ruin your relationship with her so Travis just kept it with him."

Oh....I honestly didn't know that he wamted to confess to her during that time.

"I don't suppose you can tell me more about Travis having a crush on Katelyn, do you?"

"What do you mean by that??"

"Its just that...knowing all this....makes me feel...bad about myself." I hung my head down.

"Well...sure Travis loved Katelyn but she loved you more. Its just so sad that all the effort he has done back in high school never really got himself to be with the one he truly loves."

"Huh?"

"Back then, he would always try to impress her, comfort her when she's down and do anything to make her happy and feel the same way as he did. Travis love Katelyn so much and it just hurts him to know that he never ended up with Katelyn. He promised himslef no matter what happens, he would make sure that he will make Katelyn feel that she's the happiest girl in the world. I guess that promise got broken when you two started dating."

"I...never realize how much Travis loved Katelyn...and I took that away from him." I hung my head down in disapointment.

I can't believe that Travis has tried so hard to show his love to Katelyn, and I just took his chance away from him. Ugh, I feel really really terrible now.

"Hey Jeffory, you okay?"

"Yeah..kinda. I just thought...cause..I remember talking to him before about something."

《Flashback starts》

"Hey Jeffory, you said you wanted to see me?" Travis aksed.

"Yeah..its just..I wanna telk you something."

"What is it?"

"Do you...like Katelyn?"

"W-What?? No..of course not! She's just a friend. Besides..she would never like me..she only likes you."

"Yeah but-"

"Why did you ask that?"

"Because..I-I like her too..and...I don't know..you seem to really like her and so I thought-"

"If you like her...then go get her. No one's stopping you anyway."

My eyes widened, "You sure?"

"Of course, you two deserve each other."

"Thanks Travis."

"A-Anytime...I guess." He looked in another direction and just walked away.

I wasn't sure if...I did the right thing or not.

《Flashback ends》

"Wow, I didn't realize how....kind...Travis is. WELL HE WENT TOO KIND HONESTLY!!!!"

I chuckled, "I know right, if only I knew the sorrow in his eyes, I would've known how much he cared for her."

"Its okay dude, it wasn't your fault. Travis back then was the type of person 'to make everyone happy' even if it means giving away their crush to someone else."

"Still, he doesn't deserve that...the only thing I'm now curious if ever Katelyn liked Travis." I replied as I stood up.

"Well none of us knew if ever she liked him or not. Travis always doubt himself that Katelyn never liked him."

I had a quick moment to think before I saod to Dante, "Thanks Dante..for the info. See ya."

"See ya too Jeffory."

I head out the door while my mind was filled with of how guilty I am from what happened in high school, and how curious I am to know more about Travis.
