Travis' POV

We then noticed it was almost sun down so we both decided that we went home.

After a few minutes, we finally made it back to the neighborhood.

We first went to Katelyn's house before I would head back to my house.

Katelyn rang the doorbell and Jeffory opened it.

"Katelyn, you're back!" Jeffory hugged her wife while she hugged him back. I just awkwardly stood there.

They both let go of each other.

"So how were you two?" He asked us.

"Oh we're fine, we both were able to talk more than before." Katelyn replied as I nodded in agreement.

"Well thats good to hear. You wanna have dinner with us, Travis?" Jeffory asked.

Hmm..should I? But...I just...feel like I don't want to. Not now atkeast since I'm not used to interacting with my friends again.

"Ummm....no its fine. I should really get going."

"Oh umm okay...if thats what you want." Katelyn said and I nodded.

I waved them goodbye before walking back to my house.

Once I arrived back at my house, I instantly locked my door and let my body sinked on the door.

I just sobbed lightly trying not to make it too loud for Dante to hear me since he's my roommate. But probably he's at Nicole's since they're dating.

Welp..atleast its just me right now.

I slowly got up not minding about wiping my tears.

I went to my room and just closed my door.

I went through my closet just trying to look for something for me to use to get oit of boredom, until I found a box labeled 'Pheonix Drop High'.

I took the box out of my closet and placed it on my bed.

I was going through the things that were in the box such as my varsity jacket on the swim team, my old uniforms, and some old pictures of me and my friends.

Thats when a specific picture caught my eye.

It was the picture of me and Katelyn when we both went to prom together.

I held it up and stared at the happy faces we had on both our faces.

Yup, she and I actually went to prom together back in high school. Well at first we didn't, but I guess due to some reasons that happened, she and I were each other's dates.

*sighs* I still remember like it was yesterday.

《Flashback starts》

Okay Travis...all you gotta do is ask her out and you'll be one step towards having her as your girlfriend.

Katelyn was a friend of mine and ever since I've met her, I would always try my best to flirt at her since that was one of the advice Dante would tell me.

Its just that...she kinda hates me for being such a casanova. But we're still friends.

Anlther thing is that...well....she....doesn't like me the way I think of her. She has a crush on this dude named Jeffory. I've heard of hik and I can see why Katelyn like him. He just looked like the perfect dude.

He was caring, funny and WAY more handsome than I am.

But maybe...I can be much better than him. Thats why I want to ask Katelyn first before he does.

It was dismissal and I was walking through the halls of the school to find Katelyn.

Once I found her, I saw that she was talking to some guy. He was a bit taller than her and looked like he was in his senior.

He had dark brown hair and green eyes. He looked like he was a senior.

Wait...thats Jeffory. Oh no, am I too late?

....welp...time to eavesdrop.

I went a bit closer to the two of them bit made sure that none of them saw me.

I then started to hear their conversation.

"Katelyn..I need to ask you something."

"What is it Jeffory?"

"I wanted to ask you if...you wanna be my date...for prom." He nervously asked her.

My heart sank as I heard those words.

"Of course I'll be your date for prom, Jeffory!" She smiled.

"Really?"

"Of course." She smiled but blushed at tye same time.

They both looked so happy....but...I love Katelyn too.

I can't believe it, I literally just lost my chance to be with the one girl I've ever loved.

I knew it...I was too stupid to ever think I would fall for a girl so perfect like her.

It was finally prom and I was just standing around doing nothing. I watched as mostly everyone had dates while I didn't.

Some were dancing, talking and just other fun stuff.

I just looked around, still standing while not doing anything..until I saw Katelyn. She was so beautiful in jer dress bjt she didn't have Jeffory beside her. Weird.

I walked over her.

"Hey Katelyn."

"Oh, Travis! How are you?"

"I'm good. Why are you alone? I heard that you had Jeffory as your prom date."

"Yeah..but...he got a high fever and he wasn't allowed to attend prom. That was when I was already outside of the school waiting for him."

"Oh..I'm so sorry."

"Its not your fault."

"But..why did you come here? Shouldn't you be at his house taking care of him as well?"

"Yeah..but that was when I realized that I didn't want to make my crush oj him to obvious. Plus, that was also my first thought but his mom told me that she didn't want me to get a fever as well."

"Oh I mean..that does make sense anyways."

"Besides, I didn't wanna leave you alone here and decided that I should be your date instead."

My eyes widened in shock as I turned red, "Wait what?"

"Yeah, Aphmau told me that you wanted to ask me to be your date but Jeffory beat you up to it and you were alone. So I decided that might as well join you instead."

I instantly turned my head to look at Aphmau and saw her she she was smirking at me while she was dancing with Aaron.

I death glared at her and just shook my head as I turned back to Katelyn.

"Sorry, that was honestly meant to be a secret." I rubbed the back of my neck.

"Its fine. I would've said yes anyways."

"R-Really?" I blushed more.

"Of course. Now come on, lets dance!"

She grabbed my hand as she dragged me to the dance floor.

IRENE, THIS IS A DREAM COME TRUE!!!!

We both just danced on the dance floor and I couldn't be happier tonight.

Katelyn literally became my date in the last minute.

After a while, the music chanhed into song for slow dance.

Katelyn and I saw lot of the students started to slow dance with their partners.

Both our eyes soon laid on each other.

"Umm...may I?" I nervously asked her if I can have this dance.

She softly smiled amd nodded.

She wrapped arms around my neck as I placed my hamds on her hips.

We both started to slow dance while staring into each other's eyes and softly smiling at each other.

"I'm really sorry that Jeffory wasn't your date for tonight."

Honestly..I wasn't really that sorry so...meh.

"Its fine, Aph also told me how much you really wanted to dance with me."

"Of course she did." I sarcastically replied as I playfully rolled my eyes.

"She also told me how my much you wanted to kiss me. Is that true?" She smirked.

My face started to heat up, "Now THAT was supposed to be a secret."

She giggled, "Its fine."

I noticed that she was looking down at my lips and I blushed more.

She looked at me and smiled. She leaned in and kissed me.

I'M SOOO CONFUSED!!!!! DOES SHE LIKE ME OR JEFFORY??

I slowly started to close my eyes and after a few more seconds, we brokethe kiss as we were blushing messes.

"U-Ummm....I thought..you liked Jeffory."

"I do. I just did that just to make you enjoy your night."

I was shocked but smiled at her.

We continued to dance and she was right, this night..was one of the most memorable and enjoyable moments I had.
