The next day...

Travis' POV

Ugh!!! Stupid Travis, you should've never agreed to this!!! This is just gonna make you feel more broken, but...I really do miss hanging out with Katelyn.

*sighs* I have to be strong for her. She's already happy with Jeffory, why would I stop that?

Don't worry Travis, its just a simple hang out for her to catch up with you since you only stay at your house for almost a year without any bonding with your friends.

Lets just get this over with.

I just wore some simple clothes since I'm not planning to impress her anyways.

Not sure what Katelyn has planned for this little hang out but might as well wear the usual.

After I was done getting myself ready, I walked over to Katelyn and Jeffory's house. I was now standing in front of their door as I let out a deep breath before I rang the doorbell.

Jeffory then opened the door. Not what I was expecting but..okay then.

"Oh hi Travis!" He smiled.

"Hey.."

He let me in and we both sat on the couch together. He was only like inches apart since I wanted to keep my distance away from him, or atleast anyone for that matter.

"Katelyn is just getting herself ready. She should come down in about few minutes."

"Oh um..okay."

We got ourselves in an awkward silence but it wasn't really something new to me anyways, especially if its with him.

"So...Its been a while since you've hung out with Katelyn." Jeffory awkwardly tried to make some conversation.

"Huh? Oh uhh yeah..I guess so." I replied as I kept my head down.

We soon were in another awkward silence but Jeffory broke it again.

"Hey umm Travis."

"What?"

"Look..I know I shouldn't be talking about this now but..I'm really sorry for everything back in high school."

"Jeffory..its not your fault. You liked her too and your actions seem to have better ways in trying to impress Katelyn than I would do. Thats why its only fair if she should be with you rather than me."

"But-"

"Enough Jeffory. We all know that Katelyn had more interest in you than me. So why not you just stop apologizing me while you enjoy your life with the most amazing woman in the world while I enjoy my loneliness."

I can tell he was pity but I didn't care. Honestly, I don't entirely forgive him but he deserves to be with Katelyn. He's perfect while I'm just a pure mistake.

Just then, Katelyn came down from the stairs. She was just wearing some simple casual clothes but to me, she just look so beautiful. Too bad she isn't my woman.

"Hey Travis, hey sweetie."

"You're looking great dear." Jeffory complimented Katelyn as he walked over to her and kissed her on the cheek.

This just made me more upset but I shouldn't care. They're a happy couple and I shouldn't interfere.

"Thanks Jeffory. Ready to go Trav?"

"Uh..yeah..sure."

I just stood up and walked out of the door first.

Katelyn said goodbye to her husband before we both walked together to...somewhere. I really don't know what she has planned today.

"So..where are we going exactly??"

"I don't know."

I stopped walking, "What?"

"Yeah I eally don't know, cause I want you to choose where we're going."

I shook my head and started to walk away.

"Hey where are you going??" She yelled.

"Back home."

She then grabbed my hand and I turned my head to favmce her in confusion.

"Travis, please. For once, I just want us to hang out. I want you to choose where to go. If you wanna go home, then we go to your house together. As long as we hang out today."

I just stared into her eyes while having a moment to think.

I sighed, "Katelyn, I'm a waste of your time. You don't really need to-"

"Please Travis, I miss you too much to let you go away this time."

That made me soften a bit more. But...I shouldn't be doing this.

"I-"

"TRAVIS I SWEAR IF YOU SAY THAT YOU'RE NOT GONNA HANG OUT WITH ME TODAY, I'M PUNCHING YOU IN THE GUTS AND REALLY MAKE SURE YOU END UP IN THE HOSPITAL!!!"

"But-" I slowly removed my hand out her grip but she tightened her grip.

"AND IF YOU LET GO OF MY HAND, I'M BREAKING YOIR BONES!" She glared at me.

I instantly held her hand with the same tight grip and nervously smiled, hoping I really won't end up in the hospital.

"Good. Now where do you wanna go?" She changed her mood.

"Ummm lets just go get some ice cream."

"Great, lets go." She smiled as we both walked hand in hand.

As much as I liked holding her hand, I don't want too many people to get the wrong idea.

We both walked to an ice cream store and ordered some ice cream.

"Its...been a while since I've been here."

"Duhh..you never get out of your house." Katelyn pointed out while scooping some ice cream and eating them.

I slowly ate my ice cream and smiled at the thought that I was able to get out of my house. Its honestly been getting more lonely the more I stay there.

I then noticed that Katelyn was staring at me while eating her ice cream.

I lightly blushed but good thing it wasn't that obvious.

"Uhh Katelyn??"

"Yeah?" She seemesmd to have snap out of her trance of whateber it was.

"Umm why were you staring at me?"

She soon blushed in embarrassment, "Oh umm sorry. Its just I was thinking of something."

"Like what?"

"The last time..we hung out..before you know...you staying in your house happened. Do you remember it?"

"Of course. The last time we hung out was before your wedding: you and I thoight about celebrating on your engagement here in this ice cream store. Why do you ask?"

"Nothing..its just a coincidence for us to hang out once again here."

"Yeah..I guess it is."

We both were in an awkward silence until I decided I should break it.

"Katelyn.."

"Yeah?"

"I-uhh..."

"What it is Travis?"

"I want to know if..."

She tilted her head in confusion but wanted me to continue.

"I wanted to know if...you ever saw...or atleast...thought about...us."

"Of course I have. We're frie-"

"I mean as relationship."

She was shocked and speechless to what I asked.

"I...uhh..."

"Its fine...you don't have to answer it. I just want you to just..think about it."

"Umm okay then."

We both continued to make some conversation and went walking around the city while talking since catching up was honestly the main thing for us to do.
