Jungkook

School break is almost over. Tomorrow would be another long boring day because school officially starts again.

"Yah! Jungkook! Wait for me!" I heard Sojin yell.

Sojin and I went out to buy ice cream despite the cold weather. I didn't realize that I was walking ahead of her.

"Ohh. Sojin, I am sorry I was just thinking about something.." I apologized while scratching my nape.

"Thinking about what?" she quickly asked.

"Nothing.. just dont mind me. Let's go buy ice cream?!" I smiled at her though I felt that she wasn't convinced with my answer.

We went walking until we reached the ice cream store. We placed our orders and patiently waited for our ice creams to be served.

"Jungkook." Sojin suddenly spoke.

"Yes?" I answered as soon as I heard her speak.

"About what happened earlier-" she was cut by the lady who served the ice cream,
"Two chocolate ice creams for Kookie and Sojin!"

We looked at each other before we took our orders and find a place to sit.

"Okay so again.." Sojin started talking.
"Jungkook. I know you to well. I know when something bothers you because we've been friends since uhm forever?! Kidding! Okay now, seriously, tell me. What is it?" I was shocked by what she just said. I just cant hold back my sadness any longer. I want to tell her but what if she finds my rants way too annoying?

"Come on Kookie. My ears are open." She gave me a warm smile.

I cant help it. I let go of the ice cream I was holding and placed it on the table. I felt my eyes getting watery and I heard my heart beat fast.
"Promise you won't tell?" I asked her.

Sojin raised her pinky and smiled at me. I knew what that gesture meant and I know that I can trust her so I decided to speak.

"Minah.... she is in great danger.." I uttered.

"What?! Why?! I don't understand!" She lifted my chin for me to face her.

"Xiumin hyung.. is.... Minah's half brother."

Sojin had no words after I mentioned those words.
"Really?! How did that happen?! Is it a bad thing?!"

"That night I went outside Minah's house. I heard Minah's mom and dad fight over her dad's mistress."

Sojin cupped her cheeks as she placed her elbows above the table signaling me to go on.
"Taehyung hyung.. knows about this as well. But we decided to keep it within ourselves. We agreed to protect Minah instead of telling her right away because we both know that she had the biggest crush with Xiumin hyung. But now.. I am worried because even if Minah doesn't tell me about them.. I know that they are together."

"Kookie, do something." she commanded me.

I just moved my head from left to right as a sign of response.
"Sojin! What if she gets hurt by Xiumin hyung?! Xiumin hyung wants revenge for her mom who died because of Minah's father! Xiumin hyung doesn't like Minah!! He wants Minah to pay and she has not known anything about Xiumin hyung's evil plans!!" I suddenly raised my voice causing Sojin to take a step back and her eyes have gotten wider.

"I understand.. you know what? I trust you enough to handle this kind of situation. Protect her kookie. She badly needs you and her brother." She advised before she gave me a friendly hug.

"Will do. Thanks for listening, Sojin! I felt lighter because you allowed me to vent my problems to you. Thanks a lot." I smiled at her then I gestured that we should be eating the ice cream now.
