RWBY vs SEGA. Two hot headed heavy hitter goes out in a battle of strength to see who hits the hardest.

Toomi: Every problem in the world always have a solution to a problem. And the best way to solve even the most difficult situation is by doing one thing everyone do best.

Megumi: Punching. Punching and more punching. And today, we have two heavy hitters from the most popular franchises.

Sachi: : Yang Xiao Long, the adventurous huntress from Beacon Academy.

Megumi: And Knuckles the Echidna, guardian of the all-powerful Master Emerald.

Sachi: Due to a special request from theycallmeknuckles20, we will not be the ones doing the analysis. But rather, Ruby and Sonic will be the ones doing it.

Toomi: But despite that, it is our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Yang enters What if Battles

<Cue: I Burn by Jeff and Casey Lee Williams>

Both Sonic and Ruby looks at Toomi, asking.

Sonic: What are we doing here?

Toomi: Um. You have to read your scripts.

Ruby: Why us?

Toomi: Because the one who requested this fight wanted you guys to do it.

Sonic: Alright then. Let's get this over with. As far as I know, that's your sister right Ruby?

Ruby: Uh huh. So anyway, me and Yang were sent to study at a school called Beacon Academy, training to fight against those horrible monsters called Grimm.

Sonic: Seriously, you call those a threat? I faced Solaris who would just use them as toilet scrubbers.

Ruby:....anyways, there lies a place where they train a group of huntsmen and huntresses to take down those horrid monsters.

Yang: Oh, I can't believe my baby sister's going to Beacon with me, this is the best day ever!

Ruby: Please stop...

Ruby: Ahhhh. Memories.

Sonic: After losing her mother to mysterious circumstances and being trained all her life by her hero legend of an uncle, Yang Xiao Long was accepted into Beacon Academy. Which is kinda like Hogwarts, except replace wands and books with swords, sniper rifles, and giant transforming scythes. Man this place just keeps getting better and better. Seriously, I know where I'm gonna retire now.

Ruby: A natural fighter and thrill-seeker at heart, Yang fit right in and soon found herself a member of the color coordinated team, RWBY, lead by yours truly.

Ruby: I'm talking about kicking off the semester with a bang.

Yang: I always kick my semesters off with a Yang! Eh? Guys? Am I Right?

<Yang is hit by an apple>

Sonic: Geez, and I thought Tails made the worst puns. Anyway Yang's time at Beacon was well spent and she became the master of punching all the things.

Ruby : See while I wield a scythe, Blake a couple swords, Weiss has some big guns, Yang's style of combat takes a more... direct approach. Her Shotgun-Gauntlets!

Sonic: Her two golden bracelets aren't just stylish, they extend to form a weapon called the Ember Celica.

Sonic: With just a punch, the Ember Celica fires off a flash of kinetic energy, blasting a foe with an explosion of force and a beautiful sound.

<Yang jumps into a Nevermore's mouth and repeatably fires her blasts down its mouth>

Yang: I hope you're hungry!

Ruby: To top it off, the concussive blasts can fly several hundred feet! Yang is one of the few people I know who can punch a bird out of the sky. That's what ya get for crapping on my car.

Sonic: In addition, like most huntresses, Yang can manifest her soul as an Aura. Aura can be used to block deadly attacks, and heal minor wounds, and Yang's is no different.

Ruby : But my favorite way she uses her Aura. Now many Hunters and Huntresses possess a Semblance: A special power unique to them that makes Beacon Academy look a little more like the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters.

Sonic: Man. That kinda looks like my Super Form except that she doesn't need Chaos Emeralds for that.

Ruby: Yang's Semblance absorbs damage from hits she takes, adding them to her own physical power. After taking just two attacks from a Mech Suit she was strong enough to shatter the whole thing in one go.

Sonic: Contary to popular belief, her Semblance does not increase her Aura's defense. So she feels the full force of everything that hits her Aura, and can only absorb power so long as she remains conscious.

Beat Junior's gang singlehandedly

Sonic: Luckily she's pretty tough: Yang survived a punch that easily smashed her through a concrete pillar. You know, the ones designed to hold up entire bridges.

Ruby: And during a food fight, Yang was knocked up into the air and did not come down for about 100 seconds: More than enough time to reach Terminal Velocity. This means upon landing she took an impact of nearly 50 tons of force! And stood right back up like it was nothing!

Sonic: Can't say the same about all that food wasted though.

 Ruby: Despite this Yang can only take so much. Her Aura has a limit, as does her short temper. Pushing both of these too far leaves her extremely vulnerable.

Weakness

Still young and inexperienced

Her emotions and temper often lead her to enter dangerous situations without thinking or act irrationally. Yang is reckless and hot headed; charging into enemies if they harm her friends (or Yang's hair).

Currently suffers from PTSD from the loss of her arm

Not very skilled fighting against opponents whose fighting style revolves around kicks as well as opponents who are adept at dodging attacks

Low pain tolerance, despite taking damage / Hits.

Was unconscious after her arm got cut off by Adam

Her semblance can be deactivated if she calms, drops her guard, bleeds, gets depleted

Yang's Semblance only activates after Yang suffers damage; meaning initially Yang begins her duels at her weakest and it has limits, making her a glass cannon

Sonic: Like when this Ice-Cream lady knocked her out because Yang had been fighting monsters all day with no sleep. 

Ruby: I know. If Yang had the energy, she would have one shotted Neo very easily. I mean come on! I hardly think those guys who Frank Castle fought would have any problem with her

Sonic: It's also worth noting that Yang is less adaptable when fighting against foes specializing in kicks.

Ruby: Still she's confident she's one of the best in her class and dedicated to graduating Huntress School so she can travel the world fighting everyone just for the thrill of it. Ahh. Just seeing her in action sure puts a smile on our faces.

Yang: Nailed it!

Knuckles the Echidna punches into What if Battles

<Cue: Me against the World by Simple Plan>

Sonic: Alright! Onto my boi Knuckles. From what I know, 4000 years ago, the echidna race thrived due to their advanced technology and talent for warfare.

Ruby: Now that's what I call a pet!, I know what i'm picking up at the pet store on the way home!

Sonic: Desperate for the power to command the world, the Knuckles tribe staged a raid to obtain the legendary power of the Master Emerald.  What they didn't know is that it was protected by a giant, murderous water dragon with tentacles named Chaos, and it just totally wiped out every last one of them.

Ruby: Miraculously, a young echidna girl survived, and managed to seal Chaos inside the Master Emerald. The resulting energy output ripped the echidnas' home into the sky to become Angel Island, perpetually floating so long as the emerald remained in it's shrine. By the way Sonic, how is that even possible?

Sonic: Don't know. It's just kinda a thing in my world. Anyway, centuries later, one final descendant of the Knuckles clan remained and his name was.... Knuckles. The lone guardian of the Master Emerald, dedicating his entire life to protecting the family jewel. Ha! But he spends most of his days sleeping and doing nothing.

Ruby: Ha! I would have done that too if I were him. I mean come on! Who's gonna fly up all the way up to a tiny, floating island just to steal a rock?

Sonic: Why the nefarious Dr. Eggman of course. As a ploy, Eggman convinced Knuckles that a certain blue hedgehog and a fox with two tails planned to steal the Master Emerald. Knuckles left to stop the thieves, and Eggman swiped the gem for himself.

Ruby: Wow, not the sharpest blade of the shealthe, is he?

Sonic: Now you know what I have to deal with. Without its energy source, Angel Island plummeted out of the sky, until Sonic the Hedgehog literally beat the sense into Knuckles and together, they saved the day, forming a tense bromance.

Rouge: Sounds like you've got an inferiority complex.

Knuckles: Huh? I have a what?

Rouge: Oh, nothing. Never mind Knuckles...

Ruby: Since then, Knux has continued to try to guard the emerald. However most people who try to steal it... do. But luckily for him, he can track the Master Emerald using his treasure hunting skills.

Sonic: And his special bond with the gem, which allows him to detect its presence and harness some of its power. Which he can focus through the ancient martial art passed down through the Knuckles clan.

Ruby: The ancient art of "punch the crap out of everything!" No, really. That's the answer to every single problem Knuckles has. Something in the way? Punch it! Need to climb a cliff? Punch it! Falling down a trap? Punch it! Punching not working for some reason? You f***ing know he punches it more! 

<Knuckles punches through a wall>

Rouge: You're taking this breaking and entering business way too literally.

Ruby: Man. He and Yang would have gotten along so nicely with they weren't gonna fight to the death today.

Sonic: Speaking of which, Knuckles can throw punches so extreme, they create explosions by igniting hydrogen in the air.

Ruby: Sounds familiar...

Sonic: Knuckles is surprisingly fast, capable of running at least 100 miles per hour. He can also take to the sky and glide. Reportedly by trapping air underneath his dreadlocks, although there's no logical way those locks are aerodynamic enough to keep him airborne.

Ruby: And with the spikes on his fists, Knuckles can effortlessly dig through dirt and rock, add on his attachable Shovel Claws and he can even tunnel through solid metal. With arms that stringy, it makes you wonder where all this strength comes from.

Sonic: Well, his connection with the Master Emerald is responsible for much of his more absurd attributes, like gliding and punching explosions. He can even shatter boulders, dodge machine guns, ride atop flying jets and missiles like skateboards, oh, and he can breathe in space. Ooh, did I meantion he has beaten me several times before?

Ruby: And Knuckles also has a Super Form.

Sonic: Moving on. If I have anything nice to say about him. He doesn't chuckle like I do. And that's coming from a guy who can punch real good.

Ruby: With a single punch, he can trigger a volcanic eruption. Doing so requires displacing pressure in a volcano's magma chamber, at minimum, this can sit around 3,280 ft or 1 kilometer below the Earth's surface. Knuckles had to have punched the ground with at least 3.9 megatons of force, over three times more powerful then the highest yield bomb in the US nuclear stockpile.

Sonic: That's cute, how about the time he punched the moon? One day, Eggman blew up half the moon, and rebuilt it into a robot moon, because, well, he gets off on that shit.

Ruby: Via remote control, Eggman actually changed the moon's orbit to create a never ending eclipse. But never fear, Knuckles just dove out into outer space and punched the remote control into dust, causing an explosion visible from Earth. And returning the moon to its normal orbit.

Sonic: But having these abilities isn't enough to let him win every time, especially when his biggest obstacle is his own brain.

Weakness

By far the stupidest of his friends

Ruby: Gosh. That's cold.

Sonic: Hey, you know I'm right, Knuckles is illiterate, doesn't know left from right, and one time, didn't realize until too late that he was eating a napkin.

Ruby: Well, at least he did manage to clean up and eat at the same time. If only we could do that back at the Food Fight.

Sonic: What's more, he hardly ever strategizes before combat, preferring to run in swinging.

Ruby: Sounds familiar.

Sonic: What's even more shocking is despite being mortal enemies, Dr. Eggman has duped Knuckles into allying with him on multiple occasions. It's happened so often by now, I have to wonder who's side he's really on.

Ruby: Man. That's like if Yang is ever dumb enough to team up with Cinder even after what she did. Well, glad I'm not you Sonic.

Sonic: Ho ho. Trust me. Even with such flaws, I can always count on my best friend and my sparing partner.

Amy: Can the young woman break the glass ceiling and prove once and for all that a female can be just as good an athlete as a male?

 <Amy Rose says as she stands in front of the goal post.>

<Knuckles then chimes in>

Knuckles: You know, Amy, anytime someone calls attention to the breaking of gender roles, it ultimately undermines the concept of gender equality by implying that this is an exception and not the status quo.

<Staring back at his astonished friends, he adds>

Knuckles: What? Just because I'm a meathead doesn't mean I'm not a feminist."

Ruby: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Sonic: Go Knuckles! You can do it!

Ruby: Oh dear. I hope Yang will be okay. Oh who am I kidding?! Go Yang!

Sonic: Right now.... It's time for a Death Battle!

Fight

Temple

On a bright sunny day, Knuckles sat back on a rock lazily, munching on a chocolate bar while staring at the sun.

Feeling bored to death, Knuckles tosses the wrapper  aside and he laments out.

Knuckles: Argh! I'm bored! Why is protecting a bunch of emeralds so boring?!

Little does he know that his day is about to become rather eventful.

Lacking anything to do, Knuckles picks up a small pebble and he throws it across the air.

Right behind a bush, Yang strodes along the forest floor, humming to herself as she admires the flowers near her.

At that moment.....

Bonk!

Yang: Ow!

Yang screams out in pain as she felt the pebble bounce off her head.

Angered, Yang bursts out of the bush and she shouts at Knuckles.

Yang: Hey Red Head!

Curious, Knuckles looks up and he questions out.

Knuckles: Whassit to ya blondie? Can't you see I'm taking a nap?

Yang: A nap?! Take that back you jerk!

Yang angrily throws the pebble across the air.

BONK!!!

Knuckles felt the pebble bounce off his head, causing him to scream out in pain.

Knuckles: YEOW!!!

Angered, the Echidna jumps up and he points a knuckle at Yang.

Knuckles: Alright! You wanna play? Let's play!

Announcer: Fight!

<Cue: Sonic Rush Music: Bomber Barbera>

CLANK!!! FWOOSH!!!

Yang equips herself with Ember Celia and she lunges forward, closing in onto Knuckles.

Knuckles ducks to the side and he throws a punch square in her face.

WHAM!!!

Yang: ARGHHHH!!!

As Yang staggers back, Knuckles jumps up, striking at her several times.

WHAM!!! WHAM!!! WHAM!!!

Yang grits her teeth and she threw an uppercut, hitting Knuckles in the chin

WHAM!!!

Knuckles: UGH!!!

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Yang throws multiple punches at the Echidna before throwing a straight punch, sending Knuckles flying back.

WHAM!!!

Knuckles: Oh no!

BAM!!!

Knuckles slams backfirst into the wall of the temple, sliding down onto the floor.

As he pushes himself up, Yang lunges herself across the air.

WHOOSH!!!

Before Knuckles could even react, he felt something hard slam hard in his face.

BAM!!!

Knuckles: Oh No!

CRASH!!!

Knuckles screams out as he was sent crashing through the rock wall.

Thud!

As the Echidna falls onto the floor, Yang jumps through the hole, landing on the temple floor.

Thud!

Knuckles pushes himself up,

Yang steps towards him, placing a hand on her hips as she mocks her opponent.

Yang: What's wrong? Done already?

Knuckles gave her a cocksure smile and he glances back at her.

Knuckles: Oh no. Things are just getting started here.

Yang: Well so am I!

FWOOSH!!!

Fire bursts from Ember Celia just as Yang sprints forward, throwing a hook right at him.

WHAM!!!

Knuckles blocks the attack with his arm and he spun around in the air.

WHAM!!!

Yang: Ngn!

The blazing huntress grunts as she felt the echidna's foot against her chin.

Knuckles throws a downwards punch, striking into Yang.

WHAM!!!

Just as Knuckles closes in, without warning, Yang thrusts out her arms, grabbing onto him.

Grip!

Knuckles: What?!

Yang's mouth twists into a smirk, throwing her arms forward.

Before Knuckles could even react, he felt his head slam hard onto the stone floor.

CRASH!!!

Yang points her Gaunlets at the helpless Echidna and she opems fire at him.

BANG!!!

Knuckles: Oh no!

Knuckles screams out as he was sent flying back from the attack.

BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!

Yang spun across the room, opening fire at him.

Knuckles glares back at Yang, squating down before throwing himself upwards.

WHOOSH!!!

Yang: What?!

Before Yang could even react, Knuckles slams headfirst into her forehead.

BAM!!!

Yang: ARGHHHH!!!

Stunned by the blow received by Knuckles, Yang staggers backwards, blood seeping from her forehead.

Knuckles closes in onto her, throwing multiple punches at rapid speed.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Yang grits her teeth just as Knuckles throws one powerful punch, creating a massive explosion upon sheer contact.

KABOOM!!!

Yang: WAHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Yang screams out as she was sent tumbling back, crashing backfirst into a rock wall.

CRASH!!!

<Cue: I Burn by Jeff and Casey Lee Williams>

Yang: EARGHHH!!!

Severely injured, Yang pushes herself up weakly, questioning out in shock.

Yang: Ngn! Im...impossible! How is that.....Spiny Anteater so.....strong?

Knuckles dusts his spiked knuckles clean and he said to Yang.

Knuckles: Aw come on! Is that really all you can take? I swear, even Eggman's stupid robots are tougher than you.

Angered at the remark, Yang felt her blood boil, causing her hair to rise up.

FWOOSH!!!

Knuckles: What the?!

The Echidna exclaims out in shock.

Yang steps towards him, a fiery aura blazing around her body as she stares intendly at him.

Feeling slightly intimidated by her sudden change of appearance, Knuckles picks up a fallen stone pillar and he chucks it across the air.

Yang clenches her fist and she throws an explosive punch.

KABOOM!!!

The pillar exploded in a burst of fire and amber.

Shocked, Knuckles steps back, surprised at his opponent's new found power.

Yang's mouth twists into a smirk, sensing the uncertainty of her opponent.

Yang: You're goin' down freak!

WHOOSH!!!

Yang launches herself across the room, throwing her fist square into Knuckles's cheek.

BANG!!!

Knuckles's face contorts into that of agony as he was sent flying across the room.

CRASH!!!

Knuckles: Oww...

As Knuckles rubs his sore head, Yang lunges forward, throwing multiple explosive punches at him.

WABAM!!! WABAM!!! WABAM!!!

Yang: It's over!

KABOOM!!!

A fiery explosion booms across the room, sending Knuckles crashing into a rock wall.

CRASH!!!

At that moment.....

FLASH!!!

A blinding bright light shines across the room, forcing Yang to raise up her hand, shielding herself from the light.

Yang: What?!

Within the light, seven Chaos Emeralds flows around Knuckles's body, engulfing Knuckles completely in a shining bright light.

FLASH!!!

Within seconds....

BUSH!!!

Knuckles thrusts out his arms, unleashing a powerful pink aura.

Yang looks up, the sudden change of her opponent's power and appearance causes her jaw to drop.

Unlike before, Knuckles's entire body is completely pink in colour, an overwhelming auea flowing around him.

Knuckles has transformed into his Super form!

Yang: No! It can't end like this!

Yang points her Gaunlets at her opponent, opening fire at him.

BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!

To her horror, the bullets sinply bounces off Knuckles's hide, barely fazing him.

CLANK!!! CLANK!!! CLANK!!!

Yang: No.....

Overwhelmes in fear and shock, Yang staggers back, stepping away from Knuckles.

Knuckles's mouth twists into a smirk, declaring out.

Knuckles: Sorry for the wait but, this shall mark the end!

WHOOSH!!!

Knuckles swoops across the tenple chamber, striking Yang with a single blow.

WHAM!!!

Yang: ARGHHHHHH!!!

BANG!!!

Yang collapses onto the ground from the sheer impact of the blow.

Knuckles steps towards her, clenching his fist as he closes in onto the fiery huntress.

Not willing to give up, Yang pushes herself up snd she throws a punch.

WHAM!!!

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

As Yang inflicts multiple blows at him, Knuckles simply stood there, not flinching from the blows.

Knuckles: My turn.

Knuckles throws a left hook across, striking Yang in the cheek.

WHAM!!!

Yang: ARGHHHHHHH!!!

Just as Yang staggers backwards, Knuckles throws up one powerful uppercut, declaring out.

Knuckles: It's over!

BANG!!!

Yang: AHHHHHHH!!!

Yang bursts out screaming in agony just as the explosive punch rings across her body, the shockwave travelling through her in just a matter of seconds.

In just one second....

SPLAT!!!

Yang's inards went off in a massive explosion, leaving a massive hole on her stomach.

Knuckles watches just as Yang staggers across the floor, her body going limp before falling downwards, landing on the ground with a loud thud.

Thud!

With his opponent defeated, a bright light shines over Knuckle's body, draining him of his enhanced powers in the process.

WHOOM!!!

As Knuckles returns back to his original form, he smirks, saying to his opponent haughtly.

Knuckles: Heh. Should have apologize.

KO!

Megumi: Hoo hoo! There's no coming back from this one.

Toomi: Despite how intense the fight may look, it may be shocking to know that this fight is not even close at all.

Sachi: Indeed, while Yang possesses incredible strength, Knuckles already trumps her in every category.

Toomi: You see, while Yang's greatest strength feats involves knocking out students and Grimm with a single blow, Knuckles's greatest strength feat is destroying the base on the moon.

Megumi: While it's not impressive comparing to knocking down a moon, it still trumps Yang's feats of one-shotting people

Sachi: And plus, while Yang could keep up with fast fighters like Ruby and Mercury, Knuckles on the other hand kept up with Sonic who in base form can move at the Speed of Sound.

Megumi: What's more, Yang has trouble going up against skilled combatants while Knuckles on the other hand is already comparable with the likes of Sonic and Shadow. And trust me, Sonic and Shadow far outclasses Neo and Mercury

Toomi: Even more to add, Knuckles has defeated some of Eggman's strongest robots who far exceeds the same level as a Grimm.

Sachi: Both Knuckles and Yang are equal in terms of personality and abilities but in the end, Knuckles is the strongest, fastest, tougher and more skilled fighter than Yang could ever be.
