The Boys vs Overwatch, which two young girls with great desire to be real heroes will leave the battlefield to change the world for the better?

Toomi: It is a universal truth that no matter what kind of defender or hero you are, everyone always have a shady side.

Megumi: But there are always a minority of the new generation that have an ultimate desire to be a real hero.

Toomi: Like Starlight, the newest member of The Seven,

Megumi: And Bridgitte Lindholm, the Armoured Support unit of Overwatch, she's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Starlight shines into What if Battles

<Cue: Girl In The Mirror by Sophia Grace feat Silento>

Toomi: Annie January is seems like what most people might think of her to be, the charming girl next door and a mommy's girl

Megumi: And like many young heroes, Annie's dream was to become one of the members of The Seven.

Sachi: And like every hero in Vought, Annie is known as Starlight.

Starlight: And you're not crime fighting ready, until you are camera ready.

Megumi: Wait, what the hell did I just watched.

Toomi: And sure enough, Starlight's dream of joining The Seven came true after Lamplighter, one of the original members of The Seven, retired.

Sachi: But it wasn't easy as after joining the team, Starlight was sexually assaulted by either A-Train in the comics or The Deep in the tv series.

Megumi: Welp, there goes a girl's childhood.

Toomi: That's not all, even though the attack traumatized her, Starlight eventually began knowing that The Seven are not as how she thought them to be. Especially when she confided with Queen Maeve, the Amazonian warrior not only shown no pity towards her but was even dismissing her completely.

Megumi: Eventually, Starlight got into a relationship with Hughie who is a member of The Boys. Now, you guys remember Billy Butcher from our last battle? When it turns out that Hughie is an ally to the very guy who wants to bring down Vought.

Toomi: At first, Starlight was feeling betrayed of course until after seeing just how corrupt the company and it's so called heroes are, she immediately left the team before joining The Boys.

Sachi: Being a Supe, Starlight possesses Super Strength and invulnerability, having strength and abilities beyond that of an ordinary human.

Megumi: She can lift cars, punch through walls and even take shotgun shells in the chest and can get up fine.

Toomi: In fact, like her name sake, Starlight can absorb electricity around her to fuel her power. Most of the time, she can blackout a small area before releasing the held energy as focused blasts of light.

Sachi: She can either create a powerful flash of light to blind enemies or fire light projectiles that can destroy a foot thick metal door off its hinges and even kill an adult male though that was due to a head injury and not her attack.

Megumi: In fact, during her argument with her mother, Starlight is mentioned to be skilled at taekwondo as well.

Toomi: Her body is so tough to the point she could not only take several shotgun shots to her chest, and it requires a diamond edged saw with a substantial amount of force to penetrate. Especially when Diamond is one of the hardest materials in the planet.

Sachi: She could take blows from Supes as strong as Stormfront, A-Train and Black Noir, beat down Stormfront alongside Queen Maeve and The Female.

Toomi: Though Starlight's dreams of joining the Seven came through, she soon began to realise that how much she disagreed with everything Vought has done, especially when she was forced to wear a skimpy outfit just to become an oversexualized role model for young girls.

Sachi: And if there is no source of electricity for Annie to absorb, she has no power to harness. When locked in the prison in Vought Tower, she was powerless due to the lack of any lights or electrical sources in the room.

Megumi: But in the end, Starlight will always come off as the Supe who would become a real hero for the world.

Starlight: Since when did "hopeful" and "naive" become the same thing? I mean, why would you get into this business if not to save the world? That's all I have ever wanted. And that's why I have always wanted to be in The Seven.

Brigitte flails into What if Battles

Toomi: Brigitte is the youngest daughter of Torbjörn and Ingrid Lindholm, and is a traveling companion of Reinhardt Wilhelm.

Sachi: No longer sitting on the sidelines, Brigitte Lindholm has taken up arms to defend those in need of protection. She is very stubborn, a trait inherited from her father

Megumi: You know what they say, like father like daughter.

Toomi: Brigitte was conceived many months before the events of Operation White Dome, where her father lost his left arm and right eye in battle. He would have lost his life as well, if not for Reinhardt's actions.

Sachi: As he recovered in hospital, Reinhardt wouldn't leave his side. Torbjörn became so frustrated that he told Reinhardt that if he left him alone, he could name his daughter. Torbjörn also decided to make him the godfather.

Megumi: Hence, Brigitte received her name, and her godfather.

Brigitte: Just doing my part!

Toomi: Brigitte specializes in armor. She can throw Repair Packs to heal teammates, or automatically heal nearby allies when she damages foes with her Flail.

Megumi: Her Flail is capable of a wide swing to strike multiple targets, or a Whip Shot that stuns an enemy at range. When entering the fray, Barrier Shield provides personal defense while she attacks enemies with Shield Bash. Brigitte's ultimate ability, Rally, gives her a substantial short-term boost of speed and provides long-lasting armor to all her nearby allies.

Sachi: And similar to Mercy, she can heal allies though unlike her, any healing over that ally's maximum health provides them with armor instead. This armour does get removed after some time if not destroyed.

Toomi: Brigitte Lindholm is a hard worker who is following Reinhardt's footsteps. In fact, similar to him, Brigitte can hit multiple opponents with a single swing which pairs nicely with immobilizing moves such as Earthshatter and Graviton Surge.

Sachi: And much like Reinhardt, her Barrier Shield is extremely useful when playing mind games with strong enemy ultimates such as Reinhardt's Earth Shatter or McCree's Deadeye.

Megumi: Even as a child Brigitte was an engineering prodigy, spending much of her spare time in her father's workshop learning the trade and honing her skills, eventually becoming so skilled that it was believed that she would take up an apprenticeship and follow in her father's footsteps.

Toomi: However, Brigitte's shield has a much lower HP and range than that of Reinhardt and Orisa, so she will have a tough time using it to avoid splash damage like Zarya's alt-fire and Pharah.

Sachi: Since Orisa can nullify the effects of both Shield Bash and Whip Shot it is good to save those from her and focus on swinging, otherwise, it will leave you defenseless when she negates the effects

Weakness

If enough damage is done to her barrier, it will break and will take a few seconds to recharge.

Reaper and Road Hog's high damage can easily take down an unsuspecting Brigitte especially if she has already used her Shield Bash and Whip Shot.

Since your Barrier Shield is lower HP and range than that of Reinhardt and Orisa you will have a tough time using it to avoid splash damage like Zarya's alt-fire and Pharah. High sensitivity can aid in this if you can swivel your shield quickly and put it between you and where they put their shot.

Since Orisa can nullify the effects of both Shield Bash and Whip Shot it is good to save those from her and focus on swinging, otherwise, it will leave you defenseless when she negates the effects.

With his heightened agility Genji can leap over the shield and begin to attack you causing you to either turn and be subject to damage from the enemy team or deal with his blows.

While strong on her own she is not meant to be a stand-alone combatant and should usually stay with her team.

Megumi: But with her confident attitude, and always makes sure everything and everyone is ready. Brigitte wants Reinhardt, and everyone to be safe so she decides to be their shield

Brigitte: I am Brigitte Lindholm! And I will be their shield!

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

In the rows of industrial buildings, Starlight steps forward, walking past the buildings.

Across her, Brigitte swings her frail as she closes in onto Starlight.

Although completely dwarfed by the girl, Starlight stood unafraid of the towering squire as Brigitte says to her,

Brigitte: I will prove myself!

Starlight: You don't scare me.

Brigitte twirls her flail while Starlight clenches her fist just as the announcer screams out.

Announcer: Fight!

<Cue: One and The Same by Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez>

Brigitte struck first by swinging her flail, sending Starlight flying with a single blow.

WHAM!!!

Starlight: YYYYAAAHHHHH!!!

Starlight screams out as she was sent crashing into a wall.

CRASH!!!

Brigitte: Had enough?

Pushing herself up, Starlight growls as she said.

Starlight: Hardly.

BZZZZZTTTT!!!

Starlight's eyes began glowing brightly as surges of electricity flows around her, charging her up.

WHOOM!!!

Brigitte raises up her shield, sprinting towards Starlight just as the latter thrusts her hands out, firing several light blasts at her.

THOOM!!! THOOM!!!

The projectiles bounces off the shield as Brigitte swings her flail outwards, only for Starlight to catch the weapon with her hand.

Grip!

Brigitte: Huh?

Starlight: Take this!

Starlight throws a punch, striking Brigitte in the cheek.

WHAM!!!

Brigitte: ARGHHHHHH!!!

As Brigitte stumbles back, Starlight thrusts her hands out, firing a blast of light onto her.

THOOM!!!

The projectile struck right into Brigitte, sending her crashing through a building.

CRASH!!!

Brigitte: OOhhhh...

Shaking her head, Brigitte pushes herself up as she pulls out her repair pack, instantly fixing up her armor and healing her.

SHOOM!!!

Brigitte: Good as new!

Brigitte then points her flail, launching a rocket right towards Starlight only for the hero to fire a blast of light.

THOOM!!!

Upon collision, both the light energy and the rocket went off in a massive explosion.

KABOOM!!!

The magnitude of the blast sends both Starlight and Brigitte flying, crashing backs first into either a truck or a crate.

CRASH!!!

Brigitte pushes herself before throwing the remains of the crates onto Starlight.

BAM!!!

Starlight: ARGHHHHHH!!!

As Starlight falls back, Brigitte steps towards her, saying.

Brigitte: Tagga ned.

Starlight pushes herself up, glaring at Brigette as she declares out.

Starlight: Big mistake!

Glowing brightly, Starlight began absorbing the electric energy from the nearby lamps before firing a bright powerful blast of light right onto Brigitte. causing her to scream out in agony.

Brigitte: ARGHHHHHHH!!!

Stumbling backwards, Brigitte clutches her eyes, screaming out.

Brigitte: My eyes! I can't see! I can't see!

Starlight: Now you're done!

Starlight then rushes forward, throwing several blows across the injured Overwatch hero.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

The last blow immediately shattered Brigitte's armor as she falls flat onto the ground, just as Starlight fires one more blast of light onto her.

THOOM!!!

The blast of light struck right into Brigitte, sending her flying before her head slams into a wall, snapping it.

SNAP!!!

As Brigitte collapses onto the floor, dead, Starlight sighs a breath of relief.

Starlight: Whew! That sure was something.

KO!

<Cue: Love, Again by CHIHIRO>

Megumi: So, anyone wanna break the news to Torbjorn?

Toomi: While at first glance, it may look like an easy win for Brigitte due to her being larger and heavily armored compared to Starlight, it wasn't really the case at all.

Sachi: Brigitte's flails are certainly strong enough to deal against Winston, Reidhart and Mccree but Starlight has taken blows from Stormfront, a Supe almost as strong as Homelander who is already capable of destroying buildings easily.

Toomi: And despite her armor, Brigitte is still one hundred percent human, being shown to be capable of dying from bullets or bombs in the game.

Megumi: While Starlight on the other hand can take bullets and is still fine.

Sachi: It can be argued that Starlight and Brigitte have more or less equal level of martial arts but there is speed as a factor.

Toomi: Starlight's flight has enabled her to outfly Homelander who has no problem beating down A-Train who can run about exactly the speed of sound while Brigitte on the other hand, can struggle against speedsters like Tracer.

Megumi: Especially since we established in the Tracer episode back in 2020 that Tracer couldn't meet the speed close to A-Train's

Toomi: Having the edge in strength, power, combat ability and speed, this is what gives Starlight the win of this round.

Megumi: This sure was an epic Flail for Brigitte.

Sachi: The winner is Starlight

Starlight: We're all alone. That's the truth.
