Steven Universe vs Dark Horse, two characters who went through tough shit and possesses cartoony powers goes out in a really really stretchy battle

Toomi: In the world full of the logic of cartoons, anything is possible

Megumi: Especially making groovy songs

Toomi: Like Spinel, the antagonist of the Steven Universe movie

Megumi: And the Mask, the psycopathic living cartoon, she's Sachi-san, Toomi-san and I'm Megumi-san

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armour and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Spinel spinels into What if Battles

<Cue: Have You Ever by S Club 7>

Toomi: Spinel was created for Pink Diamond thousands of years ago to act like her best friend, often playing games with her and entertaining her.

Megumi: But like every child growing up, Pink eventually began finding Spinel annoying, no longer wanting to play with her.

Sachi: When Pink was finally given her colony Earth she abandoned Spinel at the Garden built for them, telling her they were going to play a new game which involved Spinel standing perfectly still.

Megumi: And the most shocking thing is that Spinel actually stood still for over 6000 years and by then, Pink Diamond no longer exists.

Toomi: Realizing that Pink Diamond has abandoned her, Spinel's personality darkened and she began plotting to exact vengeance on Pink's friends, the Crystal Gems

Sachi: Later, on the day of Steven's final homeworld broadcast before returning to Earth, Spinel arrives in Beach City on a massive customized Injector with which she begins filling the planet with poison.

Megumi: And after beating Garnet, Pearl and Amethyst in battle, Steven the poofs her and brings her and the other poofed Gems towards a temple where she became rather friendly towards him.

Toomi: Spinel then helps Steven regain the memories of the others before thinking that Steven care more for the others, leading her to run to Pink's Garden where she told him her story.

Spinel: And aren't I a fool to have, Happily listened, Happy to stay, Happily watching her drift, drift, drift, away

Megumi: Sniff. Awww, that's the most saddest backstory I have ever seen.

Sachi: Feeling bad for Spinel, befriends her and brings her back to the Gems and Connie who, after initially being wary, agree to let Spinel help Steven in deactivating the Injector.

Toomi: But after seeing Steven's reaction after the deactivation, a hurt Spinel then attacks Steven which not only causes Garnet to regain her memories but also leads her to her defeat.

Megumi: Spinel then confronts Steven again where the two fought until she has lost her motivation to destroy him and regrets her actions up until that point.

Sachi: The Injector then explodes due to the battle, and Steven saves Spinel by entrapping her in his bubble alongside him.

Megumi: The Diamonds then arrive, ready to confront Steven about where they will live and Steven introduces Spinel to them, thus giving her the new friends he promised. Spinel then says goodbye to Steven and leaves Earth alongside the Diamonds, happy to be loved again.

Toomi: Being a Crystal Gem, Spinel possesses incredible strength, intelligience and even immortality, being able to live longer than any normal humans 

Megumi: She's also very elastic, being able to stretch her body and inflate her body parts to increase her strength.  She uses this to increase the range of her attacks, able to reach enemies from a distance.

Sachi: And she can separate her own limbs as well.

Toomi: Spinel is also one incredible fighter, with her elasticity, she was able to take down the likes of Pearl, Amethyst and Garnet in battle

Megumi: And just to note, Garnet's body is capable of adapt to any planetary body gravity and she has also taken down Jasper, who was one of the strongest Gems in Season 1.

Sachi: And with her Injector, Spinel almost wiped out every life on Earth and ironically, she even destroyed it.

Her strength is comparable to Garnet, as it allowed her to outperform & overpower her.

Destroyed her building size Injector.

Nearly destroyed all life on Earth.

Effortlessly defeated the Crystal Gems in their first encounter

Toomi: But the saddest part of her backstory is ironically her greatest feat. Spinel has stood still in Pink's Garden for 6000 years and by then, most of the events from the show itself has passed. And since Gems are never known to get tired, Spinel is also able to do the same standing on her head

Spinel: Ha! It was only 6000 years, I can do that standing on my head.

Sachi: However, the effects of doing that causes Spinel to become emotionally fragile after finding out that Pink Diamond has abandoned her.

Megumi: And if her Gem gets cracked, it can cause her to feel tired and even glitch from time to time

Weakness

Emotionally fragile

Gem Rejuvenator only affects gems, so it's pretty powerless against most other beings.

Gem physiology

Sufficient damage being dealt to her physical form results in being poofed into her gemstone.

A cracked gem results in having less stamina, tiring out easily and glitching from time to time.

Both of the flaws above make said gemstone vulnerable to being shattered if her combatant considers doing so, or is capable of.

Her regeneration is limited; high type applies to reforming from being poofed, while low-type applies to healing from physical damage. However, reforming takes much more time than physical harm.

Toomi: And despite her regenerative ability, it is limited as high type applies to reforming when she gets poofed which takes up a lot of time.

Sachi: And speaking of poofing, too much damage can do that to her.

Megumi: Well, if there is one thing I can say, I'm really happy Spinel has finally gotten the love she really deserves. Oh and one more thing, fuck you Pink Diamond!

Spinel: Oh, that's right I heard the story, over and over again. Gee, it's swell to finally beat her other friends! Oh, that's right I heard the story, don't really like how it ends. Gee, it's swell to finally beat her other, other, other friends!

The Mask bounces into What if Battles

<Cue: Hey Pachuco by Royal Crown Revue>

Toomi: The Mask is the codename for people who are endowed with superpowers and become dangerously violent after donning the Mask of Loki.

Megumi: And if you ask boys and girls, yes in the movie, the Mask is made by Tom Hiddlesto...I mean Loki. Loki! Man, this is the third battle we have mentioned Loki in.

Sachi: In the 4th and 5th Century, Loki imbedded the Mask with some of his powers, and tossed it to earth to cause chaos.

Megumi: And it all starts with a man named Stanley Ipkiss who is constantly ridiculed by everyone. Not that I can blame them, especially if he's being played by the legendary Jim Carrey himself.

Toomi: Although he was attracted to Tina Carlyle, Stanley is unable to enter the Congo Bongo to watch her perform. And that faithful night, Stanley found the Mask of Loki

Megumi: And it was then that Stanley became a green-faced, zoot-suited trickster known as "The Mask", who is able to cartoonishly alter himself and his surroundings at will.

The Mask: It's party time! P-A-R-Ty why? Because I gotta.

Sachi: And with the Mask, Stanley then went on a cartoonish rampage, getting back at her tormentors and even robbing a bank, foiling Tyrell's robbery and earning just enough to watch Tina perform.

Toomi: . At the Coco Bongo, Stanley dances exuberantly with Tina, whom he ends up kissing. Following a confrontation with Tyrell for disrupting the robbery and stealing his girlfriend, Stanley flees, leaving behind a scrap of cloth from his suit. Tyrell and his men are arrested by Kellaway and his partner Doyle.

Megumi: And after some girlfriend betrayal and a dance to the song Cuban Pete, Tyrell then stole the Mask from Stanley, throwing him in jail while becoming an evil green-faced monster.

Toomi: And after his dog rescued him, Stanley then confronts Tyrell and then defeats him before throwing away the Mask in hopes to never have to deal with the police again.

Sachi: To anyone who ever dons the Mask of Loki, it grants them superhuman strength, agility and durability, being able to stretch their bodies or even pull things out of nowhere like a cartoon.

Megumi: They can also warp reality as well and even break the fourth wall and with the Mask, the wearers can achieve their greatest dreams. I mean just ask Stanley.

Toomi: With the Mask, anyone can even possess the ability to run through walls, draw a flush lever which actually works and even break a car with a single punch.

Megumi: And he can even change a balloon into a tommy gun! Get me some of that!

Sachi: The Mask is also able to call forth an entire army to fight Walter, ate a bomb and survived the explosion and even stop a building from falling

Toomi: But the most iconic thing The Mask has done is defeating Lobo. That's right ladies and gentlemen, the same Lobo who has even went toe to toe with Superman himself

Megumi: Holy shit! The Mask sure is one thing I want

Toomi: However, the Mask of Loki does turn anybody who wears it into a psycopathic goofy and even an all out of control killer

Sachi: Not to mention, those who wears the Mask can lose their powers if they remove it.

Weakness

Goofy and insane personality. (only if someone with no evil intentions wear it.)

The wearer loses all of their powers if the Mask of Loki is removed.

The Mask of Loki can be taken right off from someone if punched their head hard enough

The Mask of Loki only functions at night (in some versions).

Equally matched by Walter, the behemoth gangster built on raw muscle and just as bloodlusted as the Mask

The Mask of Loki does not work on everyone

Toomi: And though the Mask is powerful, he has been matched against the likes of Walter, a normal man with big muscles who is surprisingly powerful enough to go toe to toe with him

Sachi: And contary to popular beliefs, the Mask of Loki does not work on everyone

Megumi: But if you are a walking living killer cartoon, I'm pretty sure none of these weaknesses even matters to whoever wears it.

Mask: So if you like the beat, take a lesson from Cuban Pete

And I'll teach you chick-chicky-boom, chick-chicky-boom, chick-chicky-boom

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Sachi: Don't forget to vote, comment what you think of the fight.

Megumi: Yeah, but right now, it's time for a Death Battle!

Fight

Pink Garden

In the isolated chambers of Pink Diamond's garden, Spinel sat alone on the stone steps, staring at the stars in the sky.

Spinel: Aw, look at that. That looks like a face!

Spinel squeals out, staring at the shape of a face with a cheshire grin in the dark sky.

However, right at that moment, the stars began moving with a voice speaking out to Spinel.

Mask: Why because this is a face!

Spinel: What?!

The stars then splits themselves apart, drifting away as Spinel looks up at the sky.

Just then, the sound of a loud drum roll echoes behind her, causing Spinel to turn her head around.

Loud circus music blares just as a tall man in a suit with a bony green face stood on a counter, calling out.

Mask: Step right up! Step right up folks! 

Spinel walks forward just as the Mask points a finger at her, grinning.

Mask: I know just what you need my dear girl.

The Mask then pulls out a small balloon, exhaling a gust of air inside it, causing it to expand.

Spinel watches with her eyes twinkling in wonder, watching as the Mask twists the balloon, forming it into a biceptal shape.

Mask: A French Poodle!

Spinel: Oh wow!

However, just as Spinel is about to reach out for the balloon, all of a sudden, the balloon went off in a loud pop, startling her.

The Mask smiles as he said to her mockingly.

Mask: Sorry kid, the dog was rabid, had to put it down.

Angered at the Mask's words and behaviour, Spinel glowers in anger and she screams out.

Spinel: That's it!

Spinel's hand sudden grows several times larger before the Gem swings it outwards, sending the Mask flying with a single strike.

BAM!!!

The Mask bounces across the floor before landing feetfirst onto the garden, now wearing a traditional Spanish Bullfighting uniform.

The Mask then waves a red cloth and he commands.

Mask: Toro! Toro!

Spinel's mouth twists into a mad sneer and she lunges forward, closing in onto the Mask.

Announcer: Fight!

<Cue: Take On Me by a-Ha>

Spinel stretches her arms outward, only for the Mask to swerve his body aside, screaming out.

Mask: Atalei!

But just as the Mask turns his head, his face was immediately greeted by a single foot into his face.

WHAM!!!

The Mask extends his neck back, his head slamming right into Spinel's fore head.

WHAM!!!

Spinel: Yeow!

As Spinel winces in pain, the Mask shuffles across the floor, striking at her repeatly.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

The Mask then pulls out a rock, pulls it back, transforming it into a anvil before throwing it at the Crystal Gem.

However, Spinel pulls out her scthye and she swings it across, slicing the anvil into two.

SLASH!!!

Mask: Damn! Someone's green with anvil! Whoops! That would be me!

Spinel stretches her body outward, swinging her Scthye across the Mask's head.

SLASH!!!

Plop!

The Mask's head drops onto the floor, rolling across the ground just as Spinel stares down at him, jeering.

Spinel: That's what you get for treating me like this!

To Spinel's horror, the Mask's head spoke.

Mask: Don't get too...a-head of yourself!

At that moment, the Mask's body throws a single kick into Spinel's rear, sending her stumbling forward.

WHAM!!!

Spinel: WHOA!!!

As Spinel looks back, the Mask's body bends down, picking up his head before planting it into his neck, reattaching it.

Mask: Ah, that hit the spot. Now...

The Mask stretches his hand out and he puts it out, saying to Spinel.

Mask: Let's get funky. Change the music!

<Cue: Cuban Pete by Jim Carrey>

As if on cue, loud Cuban music blares from the background as the Mask shifts his body left and right, dancing towards Spinel.

Spinel shifts her eyebrow, confused.

Using her confusion to his advantage, the Mask swings his leg up, striking Spinel under her chin.

WHAM!!!

As Spinel bounces up into the air, she lunges downwards, slamming bodyfirst into the Mask.

THOOM!!!

The Mask shakes his head, looking up just as Spinel throws a punch, striking him in the face.

WHAM!!!

However, the Mask grabs onto Spinel before throwing her across the garden, causing her to slam through several pillars.

CRASH!!! CRASH!!! CRASH!!!

Spinel grits her teeth as she crashes into a wall, collapsing onto the ground

As the Crystal Gem winces in pain, at that moment, she heard a familiar voice saying to her.

Mask: So you like to stretch huh? Well...

At that moment, the Mask's body extends out of nowhere, wrapping Spinel around her body.

Grip! Grip!

Spinel: AAAHHHHHHH!!!

Spinel screams out in agony as the Mask twists and turns her body, causing the Gem on her chest to crack.

CRACK!!!

And with one final squeeze...

CLANG!!!

Spinel's gem exploded into a burst of fragments before her entire body turns into a shade of gray, dropping lifelessly onto the floor.

Plop!

The Mask then pulls out Spinel, turns around before shifting his hands around, dropping gray fragments onto the floor.

The Mask then puts his mouth to the floor, inhaling a gust of wind in a vacuum style, sucking up the dust that was once Spinel into his mouth.

WHOOSH!!!

The Mask stands up and he pats himself on the shoulder before turning to the viewers, saying in a rather Looney Tunes fashion.

The Mask: Well that's all folks!

The Mask then jumps up, pulling the curtain over the screen before switching the arena into the story's post-fight analysis.

KO!

<Cue: New Earth by Bruce Falconer>

Megumi: Man, and I thought Parasite Battle Royale was pretty messed up.

Toomi: Spinel's stretching ability sure is incredible but unfortunately, that is nothing compared to the Mask.

Sachi: Indeed, the Mask can not only do the same but he has reattached his body parts, survived getting shot, exploded and even tank blows from Lobo which sad to say, completely outclassed Spinel in durability and elasticity.

Megumi: And the Mask can even break the fourth wall by pulling things out of nowhere which Spinel unfortunately can't really do.

Toomi: And though Spinel is strong enough to take on the likes of Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst and Steven combined, the Mask's unpredictability and ability to take on the likes of Lobo and Walter sadly puts him at a whole different level.

Megumi: And in lay man terms, this entire fight is really one sided. I mean the Mask has blown up a Universe before, when has any Steven Universe characters done anything like that.

Toomi: Possessing superior strength, speed, durability and power over Spinel, the Mask takes this battle in a home run

Megumi: Looks like Spinel's pride has been crumbled. Sucks to be her, in the Mask's mouth

Sachi: The winner is the Mask

Mask: Thank you! You love me! You really love me!
