Street Fighters vs Power Rangers, the battle between the wandering world warrior and a seasoned Power Ranger. Who will triumph over the battle of the two fated challengers?

Megumi: And these two fighters lives and breathes through the meaning of martial arts.

Toomi: Like Ryu Hoshi, the Wandering Warrior,

Megumi: And Tommy Oliver, the Green Ranger, she's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi.

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Ryu Shoryukens into What if Battles

<Cue: Shadow by Lindsey Stirling>

Toomi: Orphaned at a young age and left with no memory of his parents, Ryu was found and raised by the martial artist Gouken.

Megumi: Under Gouken's training and beside his fellow student, Ken Masters, Ryu was trained in the art of Ansatsuken also known as the Assassination Fist.

Sachi: This ancient fighting style was specifically designed for murder which is so dangerous to the point Gouken even altered it to teach Ryu and Ken a more none lethal variant of it. Mostly mixed with the style of Karate, Kenpo, and Judo.

Toomi: At age 23, he left the dojo and has since then continually wandered across the globe, always seeking to improve himself and wanting to meet and fight new people.

Sachi: Until one day, Ryu and Ken returned to their dojo to find their master... dead.

Toomi: And from that day forth, Ryu wanders around the world, determined to take down Akuma once and for all.

Megumi: And he has his Master's teachings to help him on the way. With the Ansatsuken style, Ryu is a master at close quarter combat. With such techniques as the Shoryuken uppercut and the flying Hurricane Kick, he can take down most foes in mere seconds.

Sachi: But he can also use his Ki as a weapon, firing a fireball of energy from his palms.

Ryu: Hadouken!

Megumi: And with all these awesome powers of whooping ass, Ryu eventually made his way to the World Warrior Tournament.

Toomi: With his skills, Ryu quickly reached the top of the competition. For the title of World Warrior, he faced his toughest opponent yet; Sagat.

Sachi: But despite beating Ryu, Sagat offered Ryu a hand up, only for something deep and dark to well up inside, causing his to lash out right into Sagat

Toomi: With an enraged shout and an explosion of blood, Ryu emerged as champion over Sagat's near-dead body. Ryu's dark side had been unleashed. This was the Satsui No Hado.

Sachi: Under the influence of the Satsui no Hado, Ryu falls into an uncontrollable rage known as Evil Ryu, where his physical and spiritual power skyrockets. It enables him to teleport and use use Akuma's favorite technique, the Shun Goku Satsu.

Toomi: The Shun Goku Satsu, or the "Raging Demon", is a fatal move which attacks the very soul of its victims with the gravity of all their past sins.

Megumi: Which is like dying one thousand deaths

Toomi: But while the Satsui no Hado is a manifestation of Ryu's dark side, he has achieved balance with the light. This is called Mu no Ken, or the Power of Nothingness. By focusing on mental and spiritual refinement and detatchment, Ryu has achieved the ultimate state of being. This begets a power strong enough to match and even surpass the Satsui no Hado.

Sachi: With all this power, Ryu's performed some incredible feats. Aside from winning the World Warrior Tournament, he's dodged bullets, destroyed skyscrapers, and survived Balrog's Gigaton Blow.

Megumi: And remember our battle Rainbow Mika vs Sakura Hagiwara where we mentioned him? Yeah, Ryu defeated the every same guy who could kill an elephant with one hit.

Toomi: Ryu is so tough that he survived getting impaled, and when he goes evil mode, he can just walk through gunfire.

Toomi: But those were just pit stops compared to his frequent battles with Akuma, and if you don't know, Akuma shattered an island with a single punch, split Ayers Rock in half in Australia, and jumped to the ocean surface from four-thousand feet below, in three seconds! While destroying a submarine.

Megumi: Damn! Gouken must be so proud!

Toomi: However, Ryu's win records are not perfect as he has lost battles before, beating beaten by M. Bison during their first encounter and even losing occasionally to Ken.

Sachi: Not only that but Ryu has even been beaten by Sagat, without his Satsui No Hado, he would never truly have won.

Megumi: And the neat trick to counter all those Ryu players is that if they ever spam the Hadouken, you can just jump over and counter attack them by the head. I mean it's surprisingly easy to dodge Hadoukens.

Toomi: Well, many of these losses may stem from his struggle to contain the power of the Dark Satsui no Hado, which is obviously quite difficult to do in the middle of a battle.

Sachi: And his fighting style though impressive is still pretty standard and basic, which can be countered by way unique level of martial arts.

Toomi: And so, years after Akuma's attack on his foster father, Ryu faced him for the final time, and with the power of Mu no Ken on his side, Ryu was victorious.

Megumi: And all thanks to his hardwork and perserverance.

Ryu: I'm not through fighting, and I do not run from the power I hold within. I too seek strength, that's what driven me all this way. And yet, I never truly understood just what power is, and what it means to be strong. Your words did help me understand one thing, the power I seek is nothing like what you describe. The power humans possess, that is the source of and destination for all of life. The power you're after is the opposite of this, it can only destroy that which is good, to seek it in spite of your own demise, that is why I fight! I fight to rid the world of such diabolical power, I'll show you what true strength is, it is the courage to stand up in the face of evil, and emerge victorious!

Tommy mighty morphs into Green Ranger for a What if Battles

<Cue: That Green Gentleman by Panic! At the Disco>

Toomi: Thousands of years following the evil Rita Repulsa's imprisonment on the moon, the Earth celebrated yet another year of peace.

Megumi: But all that ended when some idiots landed on the moon and investigated the prison seal! Humans, I'm tellin' ya.

Sachi: At last, Rita was free, and filled with a great lust for revenge. Almost immediately, Repulsa took her forces and invaded Earth, taking the entire world by storm.

Megumi: To revolt, the otherworldly wizard, Zordon, with his creepy disembodied face and his annoying robot assistant Alpha-5, decided to summon five of the universe's strongest warriors to help defend Earth.

Toomi: Actually, Zordon specifically requested for Alpha to summon five unruly teenage Earthlings.

Megumi: Seriously? Just what's wrong with them?

Toomi: Surprisingly nothing. These five teens—Jason, Billy, Zack, Trini, and Kimberly—became the deadly thorn in Rita Repulsa's side, the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.

Sachi: And with that, they began fighting against Rita, defeating her forces multiple times to the point she knew she is destined to lose.

Megumi: Until she decided to do one thing, create her very own Power Ranger.

Toomi: Orphaned at a young age, Thomas "Tommy" Oliver was quickly adopted by the Oliver family, where he grew a deep love for martial arts. A prodigy in his craft, it wasn't long before Tommy's family up and moved to Angel Grove.

Sachi: Hoping to make a quick reputation for himself in this new area, Tommy decided to enter Angel Grove's Martial Arts Tournament. And he made it to the finals too, believe it or not!

Toomi: In the finals, Tommy was put up against Jason Lee Scott, who, unbeknownst to him, was the legendary Red Power Ranger. But despite Jason's Ranger status, and his title as "Angel Grove's Finest," he only managed to end the match as a tie.

Megumi: Wait wait wait wait, hold on a second. You mean to tell me some random kid just somehow managed to fight a Power Ranger to a stalemate?

Toomi: Actually, this martial arts match wasn't trying to convince you of Jason's underwhelming power, but of Tommy's overwhelming power. Rita quickly realized this, too.

Megumi: So that means that Rita has a kid that is more powerful than the Red Ranger himself?

Sachi: Yes. Before Zordon and the Power Rangers even had a clue that Rita was targeting Tommy and setting him up for an experiment, it was far too late.

Megumi: And out Tommy emerged, the badass and incredibly evil Green Ranger!

Rita: And now, morph into the Green Ranger!

Megumi: Equipped with not only the coolest dagger of all time, but the coolest battle armor as well!

Toomi: As the Green Ranger, Tommy was able to match the other Power Rangers and defeat them in combat on numerous occasions. His already exceptional strength now boosted by the Green Ranger's power, Tommy was nearly unstoppable.

Megumi: His helmet allows him to breathe underwater, a Dragon Dagger that can not only be used as a melee weapon but also control the Dragonzord as well.

Sachi: But then the Green Candle happened. This Candle represented Tommy's Green Ranger power, and, when it eventually ran out, Tommy lost all access to the Green Ranger form.

Megumi: Wait, so does that means he lost his powers?

Toomi: No, eventually Tommy began gaining other forms, whether it be his White Ranger, Zeo Red Ranger, Turbo Red Ranger, or the Dino Thunder Black Ranger, Tommy can freely switch between whatever form he's ever had access to in the past.

Sachi: Which means considering how all of them are Tommy Oliver, it means that even though we're using Green Ranger, his feats as the other Rangers will apply.

Toomi: As a Power Ranger, Tommy's achieved some pretty incredible feats! Not only has Tommy himself been able to match Jason in combat, but the Green Ranger could take on the entire Power Rangers group himself.

Sachi: But his most impressive feats actually come from the comic Shattered Grid, which tells of Lord Drakkon's pursuit through time and space to destroy the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.

Megumi: And just to note, Lord Drakkon is basically Tommy, but an evil him from an alternate timeline. A timeline in which Tommy didn't join the Power Rangers team, and instead continued to fight under Rita until he himself took control of the universe.

Toomi: Drakkon himself is at the same level as the White Ranger and with the power of Ninjor, he is capable of travelling back in time. He also possesses The Heart of the Masters, a Gem created by the Power Rangers eons ago. It can enhance strength, speed, fighting abilities.

Sachi: And it can even warp reality itself. Lord Drakkon got his hands on this thing, and used it to complete his everyday conquests. That is, until Tommy was revived, and challenged him to a fight.

Megumi: So it makes you wonder, who do you think would win? An evil Ranger with the power to create multiverses or a Green Ranger who died once? You guessed it. The Green Ranger!

Evenly matched with Jason in hand-to-hand combat when unmorphed

Managed to defeat the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers in their first encounters when he was the Green Ranger.

Megumi: The only thing he couldn't do is keep his relationship with Kimberly going.

Pink Ranger: How dare you walk away from me when I'm talking to you! Typical typical Tommy blastheaded behavior!

Sachi: And if he takes significant damage from his opponents, he can demorph without commanding his morpher to do so, as with the cast of most Rangers.

Megumi: All in all, Tommy Oliver is an amazing fighter, and likely the greatest Power Ranger the universe has ever seen.

Green Ranger: Face it, you're just circuit and sensors! You're nothing like me! You have no heart!

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Megumi: Yeah, but right now, it's time for a Death Battle!

Martial Arts Dojo

Inside a massive room of a martial arts dojo, Ryu stood in front of a punching bag, practicing his techniques through striking the bag.

POOF!!! POOF!!! CLING!!!

Right at that moment, Ryu heard a voice calling out to him.

???: Hey you!

Upon hearing the voice, Ryu looks from his bag, finding himself staring at a well built young man.

Ryu: Yes? Can I help you?

Tommy: Yes, my name is Tommy Oliver and you look strong, come spar with me.

Ryu then pushes the bag to the side, stepping up to humor the young man's request.

Ryu: Tommy huh? Alright. Show me what you got.

Tommy races forward, throwing multiple strikes at Ryu, only for the Wandering Warrior to easily parry his strikes with his palm.

Ryu then throws a punch, sending Tommy flying back.

WHAM!!!

As Tommy screeches across the floor, he wipes the blood off his mouth, smirking as he compliments Ryu.

Tommy: Whoo! Man you're strong. Alright, there's no reason for me to be holding back. It's Morphin' Time!

<Cue: Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Theme Song>

Tommy's entire body glows bright green in color before his human body switches into a much more armored form.

Tommy has transformed into the Green Ranger.

Ryu clenches his fist, getting himself into a fighting stance as the Green Ranger points at him, questioning him in a challenging tone.

Green Ranger: Ready to fight? Wanna see how well you can beat me?

Ryu: The answer lies in battle

Announcer: Fight!

<Cue: Shadows Instrumental Cover by Lindsey Stirling>

Green Ranger leaps up into the air, throwing a kick only for Ryu to roll underneath him.

Ryu then raises up his hand, blocking a barrage of punches from the Green Ranger before throwing a kick square in the jaw.

WHAM!!!

Ryu then spins his leg around, kicking the Green Ranger simulteneously.

WHAM!!! WHAM!!! WHAM!!!

Ryu then throws a powerful uppercut, sending the Power Ranger flying.

Ryu: SHORYUKEN!!!

FWOOSH!!!

The Green Ranger lands feet first onto the ground, swerving his body to the side just as Ryu sprints at him.

Green Ranger then throws his foot out, striking Ryu in the knee.

WHAM!!!

Ryu: AAAHHHH!!!

As Ryu stumbles over, Green Ranger began attacking him with a flurry of kicks and punches.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

SHING!!!

Green Ranger then draws out his dragon dagger before swinging it across, cutting across Ryu's body.

SLASH!!! SLASH!!! SLASH!!!

Green Ranger then jumps up, throwing a kick square into Ryu's face.

WHAM!!!

Ryu falls back, clutching his head as he felt himself dazed from the attack.

Green Ranger points his Dragon Dagger at Ryu, laughing out.

Green Ranger: Ha ha! That the best you can do?

Ryu: Neither of us have reached our full potential.

Ryu then puts his hands together, thrusting them out as he unleashes a blast of energy at Green Ranger, screaming out.

Ryu: HADOUKEN!!!

SHOOM!!!

Green Ranger raises up his arms, shielding himself from the blow.

THOOM!!!

However, right at this time, Ryu sprints forward, grabbing onto him before throwing him right onto the wall.

CRASH!!!

As the Green Ranger pushes himself up to recover, Ryu thrusts his hands out, screaming.

Ryu: Hadouken!

SHOOM!!!

The sphere of energy struck right into the Green Ranger, causing the wall to go off in a massive explosion.

KABOOM!!!

As the Green Ranger falls back first onto the floor, Ryu jumps out of the dojo, stepping towards him as he questions.

Ryu: Had enough?

Tommy smirks beneath the Green Ranger mask, saying.

Green Ranger: Hardly.

WHOOM!!!

At that moment, the Green Ranger instantly transforms into the White Ranger before jumping up, slamming his foot right into Ryu's face.

WHAM!!!

As Ryu backs away, dazed as the White Ranger spoke.

White Ranger: Saba.

WHOOM!!!

At that exact moment, Saba the Tiger headed sword appears within the White Ranger's palm and he lunges forward.

Ryu looks up, jumping up as he spins his leg across only for the White Ranger to swing his sword across his body.

SLASH!!!

Ryu: ARGHHHHH!!!

Ryu throws a punch, only for White Ranger to block it before swinging his sword across, cutting into the Street Fighter.

SLASH!!! SLASH!!! SLASH!!!

The White Ranger then points Saba at Ryu, launching a blast of energy right at him.

PIU!!!

Ryu: ARRRRGHHHHH!!!

As Ryu was sent rolling across the floor, White Ranger sprints forward, holding up Saba as he screams out.

White Ranger: This ends now!

Just as he swings the sword down, all of a sudden, Ryu thrusts his hand out, catching the sword midswing.

White Ranger: What?!

White Ranger stares at Ryu in shock, finding a rather dark and sinister aura shrouding his opponent.

WHOOM!!!

Tapping deep into the dark malicious energy of the Raging Demon, Ryu throws one powerful punch, sending the White Ranger flying.

BAM!!!

As the White Ranger lands feet first back, he looks up, noticing a rather malevolent change to Ryu's appearance.

Ryu's hair switches from raven black to dark red, his white gi now black and his eyes burns with hatred.

Dark evil aura completely envelops Ryu as he grits his teeth, roaring out.

Ryu: RAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Ryu has transformed into Evil Ryu!

Evil Ryu glares at White Ranger, growling out.

Evil Ryu: Violence is who I am!

The White Ranger points Saba at him, firing a blast of energy.

PIU!!!

Evil Ryu simply swings his arm, deflecting the projectile effortlessly.

THOOM!!!

Evil Ryu then jumps up, thrusting his hands out as he sends a hail of energy blasts down onto White Ranger.

THOOM!!! THOOM!!! THOOM!!!

White Ranger rolls across the floor, dodging blast after blast before Evil Ryu lands feet first on top of him.

BOOM!!!

Evil Ryu then picks White Ranger up before throwing one powerful punch, sending him rolling back.

White Ranger then pulls out his Master Morpher and almost immediately, his entire appearance began changing, transforming now into the Red Turbo Ranger.

WHOOM!!!

Red Turbo Ranger swings his leg out, only for Evil Ryu to duck underneath before thrusting his fist up.

Evil Ryu: SHORYUKEN!!!

THOOM!!!

The sheer impact sent the Red Turbo Ranger flying, causing him to fall flat onto the floor.

The Red Turbo Ranger pushes himself up, saying to him.

Red Turbo Ranger: Not bad, but not good enough!

WHOOM!!!

The Red Turbo Ranger then transforms into the Zeo Ranger V-Red, pulling out his Zeo Laser Pistol before opening fire at him.

SHOOM!!! SHOOM!!!

Evil Ryu steps forward, the projectiles bouncing off his skin before he teleports himself forward.

Just as he closes in, the Zeo Ranger V-Red instantly disappears, narrowingly dodging Evil Ryu's Raging Demon attack.

Evil Ryu: Huh?

As Evil Ryu looks around, all of a sudden, he felt something strike him by the back.

WHAM!!!

Evil Ryu turns around, only to find nothing behind him.

WHAM!!!

Evil Ryu winces, feeling the strike again.

At that moment, Tommy appears right in front of Ryu, this time as the Black Dino Ranger.

Black Dino Ranger: Had enough?

Black Dino Ranger then pulls out his Black Brachio staff, striking onto Evil Ryu repeatly.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

With one final swing, Black Dino Ranger swings it across, batting Evil Ryu across the air.

BAM!!!

Evil Ryu crashes through multiple boulders before kneeling down onto the ground.

Panting, Evil Ryu shuts his eyes, feeling the evil energy quelling from his body.

Ryu: Concentrate. I will not succumb to evil.

At that exact moment, a bright light engulfs Ryu completely, charging him up with a wave of light and powerful energy.

Ryu has tapped into the power of nothingness!

Black Ranger then transformed again, this time back into the Green Ranger.

Empowered by the power of nothingness, Ryu puts his hands together, declaring out.

Ryu: I'm not through fighting. This is the power of mankind!

WHOOM!!!

A powerful sphere of energy forms within Ryu's palms as he screams out.

Ryu: SHINKU HADOUKEN!!!

THOOOM!!!

Unleashing a powerful blast of energy across the forest, Green Ranger summons his Dragon Shield, holding it forward as he pushes against the blast.

THOOM!!!

Pushing with all his might, Green Ranger loudly declares out.

Green Ranger: I'm a Power Ranger 'til the end!

THOOM!!!

Engulfing his Dragon Dagger with Green energy, Green Ranger swings it across, instantly quelling the Shinkuhadouken.

Ryu: What?!

Ryu could only watch in horror as Green Ranger lunges forward, the Dragon Dagger slamming straight through his chest.

The sheer impact of the blows causes Ryu's entire body to go off in a massive explosion.

KABOOM!!!

As the smoke clears, Ryu's entire body fell limp before the Street Fighter collapses onto the ground, dead.

Green Ranger draws back his weapons, reverting himself back into Tommy as the young man picks up a towel, wiping away the sweat off his body before making his way back to the dojo.

KO!

<Cue: Forever In My Dreams by Really Slow Motion>

Megumi: Ho ho ho! Somebody make a Street Fighter and Power Ranger crossover game! We really need it now!

Toomi: This was certainly a match to remember, with both Ryu and Tommy possessing equal level of martial arts skills after years of training.

Sachi: However in terms of speed, the Green Ranger completely takes this, having move fast enough to take down groups of armed men before they could shoot him while Ryu only dodged a bullet that was fired at him.

Megumi: And plus Tommy has dodged fricking lightning, you know.

Sachi: Lightning is the flash of light that occurs when charge separation occurs. Like other forms of light, the light emitted from the lightning travels near the speed of light. This speed is near 300,000,000 meters per second.

Megumi: Yeah, couldn't see Ryu moving speed at that level.

Toomi: And though the Satsui no Hado certainly gave Ryu the edge of strength over Tommy's weaker forms, and his Raging Demon is more than capable of killing him easily.

Megumi: But Tommy can easily dodge it with his teleportation.

Toomi: While that is true, never forget that Tommy in his Ranger forms have taken planetary level blows from Rita who destroyed an island of illusions which caused a Solar Eclipse and he fought on par with Zedd, a being who spun the planet Earth itself.

Sachi: And what about the time Akuma destroyed a meteorite and matched against Asura? Firstly, those are non-canon. And even if we were to put those into account, it wouldn't change the result considering how Green Ranger defeated Lord Drakkon who holds a Gem capable of manipulating reality itself, putting him at a multiversal level kind of power, way beyond what Akuma and Asura are capable of dishing out.

Megumi: Come on, if Tommy has taken on city to planetary level opponents like Rita, Rito and Zedd on a daily basis, matched against his fellow Rangers in power and defeated alternate versions of himself, I don't see Sagat or M. Bison beating him any day.

Toomi: With Tommy holding the complete advantage over Ryu in intelligence, power, skills, weapons, experience and strength, this what gives the Green Ranger the complete victory of this match

Megumi: Can Tommy beat Ryu? Shor-he-ken.(Sure he can). Man, Ryu's gonna be Green in envy after this.
