RWBY vs Overwatch, which two happy go lucky speedsters will win in this battle of speed and wits?

Toomi: When it comes to battle, some individuals were lack mostly in strength or skills to contribute to their team.

Megumi: But the best thing is that they have speed to make up for it.

Toomi: Such as Ruby Rose, the leader of RWBY,

Megumi: And Tracer, the spunky agent of Overwatch. She's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi.

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Ruby dashes back into What if Battles

Toomi: In a small town, there was a young girl named Ruby Rose who wielded a mechanical scythe known as- the Crescent Rose.

Megumi: And right after foiling a robbery by Torchwick, she and her sister, Yang enrolled into Beacon Academy where they met Weiss Schnee and Blake Belladonna.

Sachi: And like many school-theme anime, things didn't went well at first.

Weiss: What are you doing?!

Ruby: Uh...sorry...

Toomi: But despite their differences, the team eventually formed together to form into a team called RWBY.

Megumi: Man, talk about naming the entire team after yourself but only switching U with a W.

Sachi: After the Fall of Beacon, she discovered she possessed the power of the legendary Silver-Eyed warriors and traveled to Mistral with team JN(P)R.

Toomi: Ruby and the rest of her allies have been moving towards Atlas to keep the Relic of Knowledge safe, only for her to discover newer revelations about her Silver Eyes and their power.

Sachi: With her semblance, Ruby is capable of moving extremely fast, travelling at the speed of 195 km/h.

Megumi: She can also run on walls, sprint and jump up on objects while they are falling in mid-air in seconds oh and did I mention she could even create a vacuum as well?

Toomi: But that's not all. Ruby is also armed with Crescent Rose, her Scthye which is powerful enough to cut through trees and Grimm with a single slash.

Megumi: And it can double as a gun as well.

Sachi: But Ruby's most powerful ability is her Silver Eyes, hereditary trait from her mother. It can only be triggered by the user's desire to protect their loved ones and the light, countering the Grimm's thirst for destruction.

Qrow: It was said that even a single look from one of these fighters can strike a Grimm down.

Megumi: The Silver Eyes are pretty strong, powerful enough to one shot a single Grimm with a stare and Ruby even once used it to stun the likes of Cinder Fall.

Toomi: That's not all, with her Silver Eyes, Ruby even once froze a Grimm Dragon completely.

Sachi: With her speed, Ruby is able to move fast enough to dodge Roman Torchwick's gunshots and maneuvered around missiles when fighting Cordovan's mech.

Megumi: And being a team leader does has it's perks. Ruby is able to come out with brilliant strategies to take on enemies and the same kind of intelligence allowed her to take out Neopolitan.

Feats

Accepted into Beacon Academy at an early age (2 years early).

Killed a Nevermore (Had help from her team and JNPR earlier).

Won a food fight against Team JNPR.

Helped destroy a prototype of the Atlesian Paladin-290 with the aid of her fellow teammates (Especially Yang).

Killed a Beringel by herself.

Froze the Grimm Dragon with The Silver Eyes (Possibly comparable to Cinder Fall with Fall Maiden).

This very same attack left Cinder mutilated. It is heavily implied Cinder has a crippling weakness to the Silver Eyes after fully absorbing the Fall Maiden's power.

Helped stop The Breach.

Helped Team RNJR kill the Nuckleavee Grimm.

She and her team/friends (RWBY) have finally reunited at Haven

Able to resist the power of the Apathy for an extended amount of time and destroy them with her Silver Eyes

Defeated a mechanical monster that had just only moments prior managed to one-shot Ragna the Bloodedge. (BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle)

Momentarily petrified a Leviathan, a sea Grimm similar in size to the Wyvern at Beacon

One of the fastest characters in the RWBY-verse (Her Semblance is her speed).

Can run on walls, and sprint and jump up on objects while they are falling in mid-air in seconds, alongside her team.

Took out a group of Grimm (Beowolfs) before her bullet shells landed on the ground

Ran up a cliff while dragging a Nevermore (Had Weiss' help by defying gravity).

Created a vacuum in a food fight. Moved and stopped just in front of a wall, the force of the wind blew a crater into the wall behind her.

Toomi: And remember the dragon grimm, well defeating the Dragon Grimm isn't Ruby's only giant monster feat. With her Silver Eyes, Ruby has even petrified a Leviathan, a sea Grimm similar in size to the Wyvern at Beacon

Megumi: But the Silver Eyes has it's flaws as well. It has only been shown to be effective against Grimms and Maidens, meaning there's a high chance it has no effect against other beings.

Sachi: And even though the same technique has defeated Cinder, please note that Cinder was powered by the strength of a Maiden, meaning that technique is one hundred percent effective on her only. I mean Ruby tried that on Emerald once and it failed.

Weakness

Still young and inexperienced.

Rather naive and air-headed.

Socially awkward.

She is almost completely incapable of self-defense without her weapon.

Lost in a hand-to-hand bout with Yang.

Also lost to a White Fang grunt when she was separated from Crescent Rose

Physically weak.

All her strategies and greatest feats were mostly due to teamwork and help.

Even with her superspeed, she can still be overwhelmed or tagged by other semblance users.

Overusing her Semblance drains energy.

Silver Eyes.

Has little experience/control of it.

Stated by Salem that her Silver Eyes is a crippling weakness to the Maidens' power for the users

Really it's only ever been directly stated to be effective against Grimm and Maidens, implying that it may not be much of a threat against opponents who are neither

She was knocked out the second time she tried to use this ability by Emerald

Negative memories and thoughts clouding her mind can stall the activation

Toomi: Ruby's biggest flaws are her own abilities, while she may be considered the fastest character in the series, she is nowhere stronger. Ruby has little to no combat training and is completely vulnerable without Crescent Rose

Sachi: And most of her feats are mostly from outside help.

Megumi: But Ruby is capable of getting her head in the game when really need be. In the end, Ruby is one red riding hood you don't want to mess with.

Tracer teleports into What if Battles

Toomi: Born in London, Lena Oxton was destined to be a pilot in the Overwatch agency.

Megumi: Until one day, Lena was going to fly a prototype ship known as the "SlipStream".

Sachi: But unfortunately for her, the teleportation matrix malfunctioned and it disappeared along with her and then she was presumed dead.

Toomi: However, she wasn't really dead. Her molecules are desynchronized from the flow of time which makes her body fade in and fade out.

Megumi: Like a ghost!

Toomi: No Megumi. Tracer is not a ghost.

Sachi: But it turns out that thanks to a talking Gorilla named Winston, invented a "chrono accelerator" to fix Tracer and her time problem and not only does it lock her in the present, but now she can control the flow of time around her.

Toomi: Now she has become not only did she became Winston's best friend, but she has also became one of Overwatch's finest agent going by the name, Tracer.

Tracer: Uh...don't worry luvs, cavalry's here.

Sachi: With her time powers, Tracer is effective at dodging attacks, getting in close, dealing high DPS at close range, and escaping from danger

Megumi: And with her Chrono-Accelerator, Tracer is using something called a Blink, which boosts her in any direction, but requires a 3 second recharge.

Toomi: And since Overwatch is a shooting game, Tracer is armed with a pair of pistols known as Pulse Pistols, which are also powered by her Chrono-Accelerator which enables her to fire rapid shots at her opponents.

Sachi: But the one thing the Chrono-Accelerator is good at it's the Recall ability, which in a way enables Tracer to move herself back in time to attack her opponent and at the same time, save her in many dangerous situations such as dodging a sniper bullet from Widowmaker at point blank.

Toomi: Which is amazing considering how an average bullet travels at 2,500 feet per second, meaning that considering the kind of distance she is in, Tracer has moved surprisingly faster than that amount of time.

Megumi: Not only that but Tracer has also survived a blow from Reidhart's hammer, a weapon about the size of an ordinary human and is powered by freaking rockets!

Feats

Survived a 3 story fall.

Can survive a blow from Reinhart's Rocket Hammer: a hammer that is the size of an average human and is powered by rockets.

Recall has saved Tracer from many deadly situations

Surviving poisoning from a venom mine

Dodging a sniper bullet at point blank range, while the bullet left the barrel.

Helped end the Omnic Crisis (before getting her powers)

Considered one of the best pilots in Overwatch's history.

Kept up with and defeated Genji in a training match (shortly after getting her superpowers).

Assisted Overwatch in stopping the King's Row Uprising (her first mission with her time powers).

Assisted Winston in protecting the Doomfist Gauntlet from Reaper and Widowmaker.

Recently assisted Overwatch in capturing the Talon leader Maximilien.

Survived time displacement

Can avoid sniper fire

Successfully disarmed Widowmaker

Can jump over 10 feet

Toomi: However being a speed based kind of shooter, Tracer is extremely frail and is vulnerable to heavy attacks. Such examples includes her battle against the physically stronger Doomfist.

Sachi: And her fun-loving and cocky attitude is a major disadvantage, which not only makes her susceptible to taunting her opponents but at the same time, causing her to overheat her Chrono-Accelerator as well.

Megumi: And if her Chronal Accelerator is damaged, Tracer will lose her superpowers or lose control over them.

Weakness

Cocky and funloving personality makes her very likely to taunt her enemies even during battle.

Impatient and reckless personality makes it easy for Tracer to accidentally overheat her time powers.

Blinks and Recall need time to recharge.

In the games each Blink has 3 seconds and Recall has 12 seconds cooldown. Tracer can only store and use 3 Blinks at a time.

In the cinematics Tracer could use at least 11 Blinks within 40 seconds. After this Tracer's Chronal Accelerator overheated for about 40 seconds.

This means in regards to long distance marathons; Tracer's time powers will quickly be exhausted.

Without her Blinks, Tracer's running speed is about average compared to other humans.

If the Chronal Accelerator is damaged, Tracer will lose her superpowers or lose control over them.

If the Chronal Accelerator is removed, Tracer's Chronic Disassociation will return; she will be intangible and unable to control her time powers.

This appears to only be the case if the Accelerator is damaged. Tracer is still able to maintain her tangibility if she temporarily takes the device off. The best example of this is in her comic Reflections; where she spends most of Christmas with Winston without wearing the device. However she still needs to be within a few meters of the device; (as confirmed by lead writer Michael Chu).

Pulse Pistols are ineffective at long range.

Tracer can be killed by her own Pulse Bomb if she stays too close to it after deploying it.

Cannot dodge lock-on attacks; Winston, Symmetra, Torbjörn's Turret and Moira can easily hit Tracer if she's within their range.

Cannot use her time powers if stunned, trapped, frozen or pinned.

Has a disadvantage against opponents with high attack power.

Has twice been unable to capture/kill Widowmaker, even when Widow is at a disadvantage.

Failed to prevent Widowmaker's assassination of Tekhartha Mondatta.

Lost to Doomfist: losing her Chronal Accelerator and thus being unable to continue the battle.

Toomi: But Lena's greatest failure is her inability to capture Widowmaker, being defeated by her in multiple occasions, and unable to prevent the assassination of Tekhartha Mondatta. And even

Sachi: Plus, she cannot dodge lock-on attacks, meaning Winston, Symmetra,Torbjorn and Moira can easily defeat her if she is in range

Megumi: In spite of that, Tracer doesn't let any of it get her down. Wherever there's danger, she'll be there in the blink of an eye, with a cocky smile and a barrage of bullets.

Tracer: You know, the world could always use more heroes.

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Inside the walls of Beacon Academy, gunshots echoes throughout the halls just as Ruby jumps back, raising up Crescent Rose.

In front of her, Tracer blinks right in front of her, saying to her apologetically.

Tracer: Sorry luv, nothing personal. Just hand me that briefcase over and I'll just go.

Ruby: And let you in on this school's secrets? Thanks, but I'll pass.

Announcer: Fight!

WHOOSH!!!

Tracer moves across the hallway swiftly, opening fire at Ruby.

BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!

Ruby jumps back, spinning Crescent Rose as she deflects her opponent's projectiles.

Tracer blinks forward, landing right in front of Ruby, only for her to shout.

Ruby: You're wide open!

SLASH!!!

Ruby swings Crescent Rose across Tracer, cutting into the Overwatch speedster.

Tracer: WHOOOAAA!!!

As Tracer is sent flying back, Ruby points Crescent Rose at her, opening fire onto Tracer.

BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!

SHOOM!!! SHOOM!!! SHOOM!!!

Tracer moves across the room at supernatural speed, dodging every bullet fired from Ruby before dashing forward, slamming her knee into the red cladded girl.

WHAM!!!

Ruby: ARGHHH!!!

Tracer: Sorry luv.

WHOOSH!!!

Tracer moves across the floor, opening fire onto Ruby.

BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!

Ruby halts in the air before disappearing in a red blur, flying straight into Tracer.

WHOOSH!!!

BAM!!!

Ruby slams straight into Tracer before turning around, pointing Crescent Rose straight near her face.

Ruby: Peek a Boo!

However, right at that moment, Tracer's entire body flashes in a blink of light, causing everything to move back in motion.

WHOOM!!!

Just as Ruby is about to disappear in a red blur, Tracer suddenly blinks forward, opening fire straight into Ruby.

BANG!!!

Ruby: Ow!

Ruby screams out in agony just as she falls straight onto the floor.

Tracer: This time, you're finished!

WHOOM!!!

Tracer blinks herself forward, raising up her pistol as she prepares to finish her opponent off.

However, right at that moment, Ruby's eyes glows silver and she lets out a loud scream.

Ruby: AAAHHHHH!!!

FLASH!!!

Bright silver light shines over the streets, silhouettes of wings forming in the process.

Horrified, Tracer halts in her place, her eyes widens in horror.

Tracer: What in the world is that?!

Realizing the opportunity given to her, Ruby smirks and she dashes forward, her Crescent Rose slicing right into Tracer.

SLASH!!!

Tracer: AAAHHHH!!!

Ruby: You're going down!

WHAM!!!

Ruby throws a kick right into Tracer before swinging her Crescent Rose across, cutting into the speedster.

SLASH!!! SLASH!!! SLASH!!!

Ruby then throws one downwards swing, slicing right into Tracer's Chrono-Accelerator.

SLASH!!!

Tracer: ARGHHHHHH!!!

Tracer lets out one scream of agony as she crashes backfirst onto the wall, her body flickering back and forth in time.

Ruby: This time, you're finished!

Ruby dashes forward, swinging Crescent Rose right across Tracer's neck.

SLASH!!!

Tracer's entire body fell limp as her head slowly slides off her neck, her body twitching and flickering before blinking out.

THOOM!!!

With her opponent gone, Ruby jumps up and she cheers out gleefully.

Ruby: Ha ha! I won!

KO!

Megumi: Man, when someone want their opponent gone, I never knew they meant it literally.

Toomi: Tracer's Total Recall and her blinking ability does give her an advantage in this battle but unfortunately for her, Ruby trumps her in other categories.

Megumi: I mean sure, Ruby can't really move back in time, but considering how she could hold her own against monsters like Grimms and Beowulfs and even defeat Cinder, who's to say she could outmatch Tracer in straight hand to hand combat.

Sachi: Not only that, but Ruby has survived blows from the likes of Yang and Cinder, whereas a blow from Doomfist did rendered Tracer unable to fight.

Toomi: And although Doomfist was mentioned to be powerful enough to shatter a skyscrapper with a single punch, Ruby singlehandly encased a Leviathan in stone, which is as tall as the Atlesian Military Base, meaning Ruby has beaten something nearly the size of a building.

Megumi: And despite the Doomfist thing, Doomfist himself has never actually be seen destroying skyscrappers with his weapon.

Sachi: And Tracer's Chrono-Accelerator though gave her a speed advantage in battle, her speed has unfortunately been countered by people as slow as Widowmaker which in other words, Ruby who is much faster than her has a chance to counter Tracer's speed.

Megumi: And since the Chrono-Accelerator is what keeps Tracer alive, all Ruby need to do is to damage it to take the win.

Toomi: Having the advantage in tactics, strength and combat abilities, this is what gives Ruby the win of this battle

Megumi: Looks like Tracer is too busy blinking to be seeing red.

Sachi: The winner is Ruby Rose

Ruby: We can do anything with Crescent Rose...
