MUTO vs Skullcrawler
Requested by Legendarygoji
Monsterverse vs Monsterverse, Titanus Jinshin-Mushi vs Cranium Reptant, Parasite vs Amphibian, Predator of Godzilla vs Rival of Kong, when two predatory creatures of the Monsterverse clashes in a giant monster all out battle, only one species shall claim dominance. Will the MUTO become lunch for the Skullcrawlers or will the Skullcrawler become a breeding ground for the MUTOs?
<Cue: Invader Theme>
Toomi: The MUTOs, the prehistoric parasites in the Monsterverse,
Megumi: And the Skullcrawlers, the amphibious predators of Skull Island,
Toomi: Godzilla and Kong are prominent Kaijus to be featured in history, having seemingly incredible strength and power that dominates over most other Kaijus
Megumi: But in the Monsterverse, these two species specializes in hunting them.
Toomi: For this battle, we will be pitting these two as a species, with the MUTOs including the male, female, Queen and MUTO Prime against the Juveniles, Ramarak and Number 10.
Megumi: And with that out of the way. She's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi
Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle
The MUTOs unleashes an Electromagnetic Pulse for What if Battles
<Cue: All About Us by t.A.T.u>
Toomi: You all may know about Titans, a legendary race of beings that once ruled the world and you may know Godzilla, the famous one among them.
Megumi: But there is also a group of Titans that believe it or not, hunt members of Godzilla's species.
Sachi: "Massive Unidentified Terrestrial Organism." the place holder name that MONARCH gave to all giant monsters.
Megumi: Ironically, Godzilla was even called that before he was given his name.
Toomi: Names aside, the MUTOs, also known as Titanus Jinshin-Mushi are prehistoric parasites that are driven by reproduction, their prefered way of reproducing involves killing Titanus Gojiras and using their carcasses to lay their eggs.
Megumi: That's really gross.
Sachi: If you think that's bad, there was even a time the MUTO Prime even overpowered and laid eggs inside Dagon while the Titanus Gojira is still alive where the eggs lay dormant for years.
Toomi: Until the year 1999 where the male MUTO hatched and buried into the Janjira Power Plant, killing Sandra Brody and several workers, causing the area to be evacuated due to the radiation.
Megumi: My God, I guess this is the beginning of Walter White's villain arc.
Toomi: Not exactly, alongside his son, Ford Brody, Joseph Brody attempted to sneak into the Janjira Power Plant where MONARCH have been observing the growing coccoon of the MUTO, attempting to destroy it when the Male MUTO broke free, laying waste to the entire power plant before taking off into the sky.
<Shows footages of the Male MUTO breaking out of the Power Plant>
Sachi: And after the Male MUTO hatched, Ishiro Serizawa was worried that the spore containing the female was not dormant that the military sent a team to the waste depository to investigate, only to find the entire area destroyed by an already hatched Female MUTO.
Toomi: The military formed a plan to lure both MUTOs and Godzilla out to sea with a nuclear warhead, then detonate it in an attempt to kill all three. Two warheads were transported by train, but the female MUTO intercepted it in the California wilderness, killing all the personnel except for Ford Brody and eating one of the warheads.
Megumi: Though the second warhead was recovered and brought to San Francisco, the Male MUTO stole the warhead just to use it as a hook up present for his mate...
<Shows footages of the Male MUTO courting the Female MUTO>
Megumi:...which is his sister. Isn't that incest?
Sachi: Well it might come as a shock to you but incest isn't exactly problematic to some species of animal as it is to humans. Especially for insectoid species like them that has a matriachal society with not that many males so they can't exactly be picky.
Megumi: Man, imagine the Female Muto as a human girl who have to repopulate with his brother, that's kind of messed up. Oh wait, there is a couple in that movie who were brother and sister in another cinematic univer...
Toomi: Moving on, after courting what his basically his sister/wife, the Female MUTO then lay eggs as the Male takes on Godzilla.
Sachi: Eventually, Godzilla reaches the nest where he took on both Male and Female MUTOs, getting dominated until Ford activated the warhead, killing the MUTOs unborn hatchlings and giving Godzilla the opening he needs to take them down.
Megumi: Though that's not the last time we see the MUTOs. As it turn out, there are more members present beside the two, the Queen MUTO awakened from King Ghidorah and was seen attacking New Jersey until Godzilla defeated the Three Headed Dragon and gained her loyalty and respect.
Toomi: Being classified by MONARCH as Bio-Atomic in nature, MUTOs generally feed on radiation, with the Males using their wings to search for sources of radiation such as nuclear warheads in order for the Females to use it as a good source to feed their young.
Megumi: And being predators of the Big G basically means they need to have traits to counter his incredible power.
Sachi: One such ability is their ability to generate an Electro Magnetic Pulse that not only disable electrical energy from any nearby electrical sources, but also powers down Godzilla's nuclear pulse significantly to prevent him from using the full extent of his power.

Megumi: Yeah, cause you guys remember that scene from Godzilla vs Kong where Godzilla blasted a hole from Hong Kong all the way down into Hollow Earth? Yeah, the MUTOs are able to weaken Godzilla to the point he could only fight them with a weaker version of his atomic breath
Toomi: Though the MUTOs also have other adaptive capabilities to take on members of the Titanus Gojiras, such as their armored platings have shown capability of tanking hits from Godzilla and even sustain minimal damage from Godzilla's atomic breath.
Sachi: In fact, MUTOs also have strength capable of bringing down Titanus Gojiras such as the time the Male and Female MUTOs overpowered Godzilla and the MUTO Prime took down Dagon, a creature far larger than Godzilla.
Feats
Nearly killed Godzilla
Created a radiation leak in the Janjira Power Plant(Male)
Almost caused the "MUTOpocalyse"
Lifted a Typhoon-class submarine out of the ocean (Male)
Tossed and pushed Godzilla (Female)
Moved Godzilla a bit (Male)
Killed Dagon(MUTO Prime)
Swam from Janjira to The Phillipines in a day(Male)
Destroyed New Jersey(Queen MUTO)
Sonic Roar shattered Godzilla's dorsal plates(MUTO Prime)
Capable of destabilizing fault lines(MUTO Prime)
Killed multiple Titanus Gojiras
Destroyed Human Civilizations
MUTO Prime nearly killed Godzilla
MUTOs were responsible for two mass extinction events
Toomi: In fact, as shown with MUTO Prime, with her history of killing members of Godzilla's species, she would have even killed Godzilla had MONARCH not interfered.
Megumi: Damn, it's not everyday we see something that is that capable of just murdering Godzilla on a daily basis.
Toomi: It depends on the MUTOs, being a matriachy, Female MUTOs are general larger and more powerful than their male counterparts. But the ones shown in the 2014 Godzilla movie are unable to take on Godzilla on their own, with Godzilla having no trouble overpowering the female individually and the tide only turning when the male attacks him which showncase that for the case of the ones in that movie, they are only capable of beating Godzilla with superior numbers rather than strength
Sachi: And while their armored bodies can tank blows from other Titans, their inner jaws are not as armored which is how Godzilla defeated the Female MUTO with his "Kiss of Death"
Megumi: And you know their whole thing about reproduction right? Well they take the whole family thing personally that just destroying their nest alone can distract a Female MUTO long enough for Godzilla to kill her mate.
Weakness
Electromagnetic Pulse only affects electrical objects
Was beaten by Godzilla one on one
Hokmuto(While Decently Durable) lacks as much durability as Femuto and Godzilla
Can be distracted when members are killed or injured
Can only emit EMP every once in a while.
Inner Mouth are vulnerable to attacks
Emotional Attachment
Queen MUTO went into dormancy after Godzilla took control of the Titans
MUTO Prime was killed by Godzilla
Will most likely kill each other for dominance if successful in terraforming the planet to their suitability.
Toomi: And despite how effective the MUTOs EMPs are, they are only useful in either weakening Godzilla's nuclear pulse or on electrical objects, meaning had they fought other Titans like Kong or Mothra, the MUTOs most likely would not have the same advantage they had over Godzilla.
Sachi: And after Godzilla killed King Ghidorah and took control over the Titans, Queen MUTO was put back into dormancy
Megumi: But as Dr. Emma Russell has theorised in Godzilla Aftershock, had the MUTOs succeeded in destroying, dominating and reshaping the entire ecosystem, they will eventually turn on each on each other until the strongest survive. Just to show you just dog eat dog the MUTO lifecycle is.
Male MUTO: KROOOM!!!
Skullcrawlers Feasts in What if Battles
<Cue: Teeth by 5 Second of Summer>
Toomi: On April 7, 1973, Skull Island was discovered via satellite imagery. Monarch official William Randa approaches and convinces Senator Willis to allow Monarch to accompany Landsat on a mission to the island with military support before the Russians stumble onto their discovery and go there first.
Megumi: And there they go, to an island full of giant squids, long legged spiders, massive buffalos and a big monkey.
Sachi: Ape Megumi. Kong is an Ape. But there is a creature that threatens the ecosystem of the island, which like the MUTOs, acts as an ancient rival to the Titanus Kongs
Toomi: Cranium Reptants or "Skullcrawlers" as named by Hank Marlow, due to how their heads seems to resemble skulls.
Sachi: Little is known about the origins of how those creatures come about, but what we do know is that the Skullcrawlers were originally from Hollow Earth before invading Skull Island where they battled with the Titanus Kongs for dominance for years.
Megumi: By the time the Iwi tribe arrived at the island, only two members of the apes are alive, one male and one female who would soon to become parents of the Kong we see today.
Toomi: Eventually, by the time the female went into labour, multiple Skullcrawlers attacked the pair and by the time Kong was born, his mother was forced to seal the newborn ape into a cave as the Skullcrawlers devoured the two.
Megumi: Oh my God, why does every one of King Kong's story have to be so sad?!
Sachi: But despite the death of his parents, Kong has grown up on his own, acting as the Iwi's guardian and island's protector from the Skullcrawlers. By the time James Conrad, Mason Weaver, Preston Packard and the crew arrived at the island, Kong is already a teenager
Marlow: Kong's the last of his kind, but he's still growing.
Megumi: Yeah, considering how big he was facing off Godzilla in Godzilla vs Kong which took place decades after this movie, that shows you how big the Titanus Kongs can grow.
Toomi: Scary thing is that in the same movie, Skullcrawlers actually can grow that big as well, as shown with Number 10.
Megumi: Yikes. And to think those ones that killed that Sker Buffalo was scary enough.
Sachi: Those are juvenile Skullcrawlers, the most commonly seen in the Monsterverse where they go around hunting and killing various creatures or the Iwi as due to their fast metabolism, Skullcrawlers need to eat a lot.
Toomi: Kong spent most of time dealing with the juveniles until when Packard ambushed Kong in an attempt to avenge his fallen men, that's where the "Big One" aka Ramarak arrived, the largest Skullcrawler, for it's time.
Megumi: With Kong already weakened from Packard's attack, Ramarak easily defeated the injured Kong before chasing the humans. And that's where the most useless sacrifice comes into play
<Shows footages of Earl Cole attempting to sacrifice himself to kill Ramarak, only for her to not take the bait and bats him to the moutainside where the grenades blows up, killing him>
Megumi: Ha! I can't be the only one who thought that scene was funny!
Sachi: But eventually, Kong manages to catch up to Ramarak where the two fought, with Ramarak overpowering Kong and was going to kill him until the humans interfered, giving Kong the chance to use the shipwreck's chain and propeller to kill Ramarak, bringing the end to the big one.
Toomi: Brought the end to the big one he did, but that still wasn't the end of the species as more Skullcrawlers continue to exist, with Kong even stopping the juveniles from leaving the island when King Ghidorah lets out his Alpha roar.
Megumi: Hey Toomi, remember when you said something about a Number 10?
Toomi: Yeah?
Megumi: Well, in Godzilla vs Kong, Skullcrawler eggs were transported into Apex Cybernetics where they were bred and used as test subjects for their Mechagodzilla project which I gotta say, is looking rather gnarly
<Shows footages of Mechagodzilla firing a blast of energy from it's jaws into the Skullcrawler, killing it.>
Sachi: Yikes. As dangerous as those Skullcrawlers are, I feel like Apex Cybernetics might most likely be shut down after lawsuits were filed for what Mechagodzilla did to Hong Kong, along with the illegal habouring Ghidorah's remains and the Skullcrawler eggs.
Megumi: Yeah, I do not condone breeding lizards for science experiments
Toomi: Actually Megumi, despite looking like the two legged lizards from the original King Kong movie, Skullcrawlers are actually not reptiles, having hidden gills in their necks, which allows them to breathe on land and water similar to real life amphibians. Skullcrawlers are more related to salamanders than lizards.
Sachi: And being the apex predator of the island, Skullcrawlers are fearsome and deadly in battle, using their jaws as their main weapon of choice against all kinds of opponents.
Megumi: And despite having two legs, these guys are really fast, being faster than an average human and can even outmaneuver Titanus Kongs in a fight.

Toomi: Skullcrawlers are also incredibly tough, having tanked blows from Kong without much damage, treating bullets from a World War 2 plane as nothing more than a mild annoyance and can still fight even with it's neck sliced open
Sachi: Remember when Megumi was talking about the soldier's useless sacrifice? Well, Skullcrawlers are known to be intelligent as Ramarak was not fooled by the soldier baiting her to eat him, but she even sent him flying far enough to explode out of harms way.
Megumi: And you guys remember from our previous King Kong vs George battle where we talked about Kong breaking the Vastatosaurus Rex's jaw? Well, Kong tried that on Ramarak only for it to fail. So get this, a Skullcrawler's jaw is tougher than even the jaw of a T-Rex
Feats
Drove the Titanus Kongs to near extinction
Killed Kong's parents(Ramarak)
Hunted and killed members of the Iwi tribe
Killed Sker Buffalos(Juvenile)
Destroyed a Triceratops skull with it's tail(Juvenile)
Unharmed by fire
Overpowered Kong(Ramarak)
Unfooled by Cole's attempt to trick her into eating him and sends him flying with a swing of her tail(Ramarak)
Withstood fire from an M2HB heavy machine gun, which was chambered in .50 BMG(Ramarak)
Kong was unable to break a Skullcrawler jaw
Toomi: But what makes Skullcrawlers deadly is their reproduction rate, being able to lay lots of eggs which gave them a number advantage over their Kong rivals, which also caused Kong to be the last of his kind
Megumi: Which is quite bad as it's just one of Kong against thousands or even millions of them.
Toomi: Luckily for Kong though, Juveniles don't pose a threat due to their small size. And despite their tough durability, Skullcrawlers are not protected by any external armor as shown when Marlow cut one with a Katana.
Sachi: And their eyes are their most obvious weak point as Mason shot a flare gun into Ramarak's eye, destroying it to the point it distracted her from finishing off Kong
Megumi: Gosh, if that alone can hurt it, imagine if Captain Marvel shot her Binary blast into that Skullcrawler, boom, game over for the big one.
Weakness
Killed by Kong(Ramarak and Juveniles)
Killed by Mechagodzilla(Number 10)
Bred as test subjects for Mechagodzilla
Heightened Metabolism
Limb Structure
Lack of armor
Locomotion
Tongue
Eyes
Toomi: However, the Skullcrawler's biggest weakness is their heightened metabolism, being mentioned by Madison Weaver that Skullcrawler hatchlings are born starving means that Skullcrawlers need to eat a lot, so they kill and hunt anything and everything living as food.
Sachi: Which Kong used that hunger against Ramarak when she tried to eat Mason, pulling her tongue out and ripping out her organs in the process.
Megumi: But good thing the Skullcrawlers haven't found their way into human civilization cause gosh, every city in the world would be nothing more than a buffet line for them.
Number 10: BUARRRGLLLLL!!!
Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.
Sachi: Don't forget to vote, comment what you think of the fight.
Megumi: Yeah, but right now, it's time for a Death Battle!
Fight
Skull Island
On the now abandoned island of Skull Island, all seems to be tranquil.
However, deep into the chasms of the island lay a large nest of eggs, MUTO eggs to be exact covering the skeletal remains of a dead Titanus Gojira.
At that moment, three Juvenile Skullcrawlers crawls into the chasm and upon seeing the eggs, the creatures closes in, ready to feast into what seems like an open buffet line of food.
However, right at that moment, a large claw slams down on two of the Skullcrawlers, killing them instantly.
THOOM!!!
Alarmed by the death of it's companions, the Juvenile lets out a loud roar.
Juvenile Skullcrawler: BUARGLLLLLL!!!
Female MUTO: KROOOOOMMMM!!!
The Female MUTO lowers her head as the Juvenile snaps at her, only to pick it up with her jaw before swallowing the creature whole.
At that moment, numerous Skullcrawlers began emerging, smelling the scent of blood and the presence of large meat.
Female MUTO: KROOOOOOMMMM!!!
The Female MUTO swings her claws out, smashing through the undergrowth as a single strike instantly kills the Juvenile Skullcrawlers.
SMASH!!!
<Cue: My Girl by Miliyah>
At that moment, the Female MUTO heard a loud roar.
???: BUARGHLLLLLLLL!!!
The Female MUTO looks up, finding herself staring at a much larger Skullcrawler.
Female MUTO: KROOOM!!!
The Female MUTO stood up, standing protectively in front of her nest as she faces the Skullcrawler.
The Skullcrawler's two legs stomps across the floor, her long prehenstile tail cracks like a whip as she eyes the price before focusing her eyes on the only obstacle from her meal.
Both the Parasite and the Amphibian circles each other before the two lets out a loud roar.
Female MUTO: KROOOOM!!!
Skullcrawler: BUARGHLLLLL!!!
Announcer: Fight!
The two titans charges towards each other slamming headfirst as the Skullcrawler bites down onto the parasite.
Female MUTO: KROOOM!!!
The Female MUTO lets out a loud roar as she staggers, scratching at the Skullcrawler as the amphibians wraps itself around her, biting her in the process.
As the Female MUTO is busy fighting the Skullcrawler, another Skullcrawler by the name of Ramarak peers out from beneath.
Though smaller than the one fighting the female, Ramarak however, is much larger the Juveniles.
Ramarak then crawls towards the nest, ready to feast on the seemingly defenseless nest.
With the mother too busy dealing with another of it's kind, surely those eggs are all for Ramarak's taking?
However, before Ramarak could take a bite, at that moment, something swoops down from the sky, snatching it off the ground.
SWOOP!!!
Ramarak: BUARGHHLLLLL!!!
Ramarak roars out, attracting the attention of the Female MUTO as she runs straight into a mountain, ramming through it.
CRASH!!!
The impact sends the Skullcrawler crumbling down off of her as the Female looks up, seeing the smaller Male MUTO flying in the air with Ramarak in his claws.
Ramarak sticks out her tongue, stabbing the Male MUTO in the neck
SHOK!!!
Male MUTO: KROOOM!!!
The Male MUTO lets out a roar of agony but instead of releasing his grip, he pulls the creature close to his head, biting down onto her.
CHOMP!!!
Ramarak: BUARGHHHLLLL!!!
Ramarak lets out a roar of agony as the Male MUTO bites down over her neck before ripping her head clean off.
SHRIPPPP!!!
The Male MUTO then swallows the dead Skullcrawler's head before landing in front of his mate, presenting the body to her.
The Female MUTO then leans down, feasting on the carcass just as the Skullcrawler she was fighting lunges out, biting down onto the Male MUTO.
CHOMP!!!
Male MUTO: KRRROOOOOM!!!
The Male MUTO lets out a loud roar of agony as the large Skullcrawler pins him down, drawing blood from the attack.
Realizing that her mate is in trouble, the Female MUTO rushes in to save her mate only for the Skullcrawler to swing her tail out, striking into her head.
CRACK!!!
The female MUTO falls back onto the ground before looking back, her body crackling in electricity as she unleashes a powerful Electro-Magnetic Pulse.
THOOOM!!!
The attack however, has no effect on the Skullcrawler.
The Female MUTO realizes this before rushing forward, ramming into the Skullcrawler.
BAM!!!
The Male MUTO pushes himself up, taking off into the air as the Female MUTO pins the Skullcrawler down.
Several smaller Skullcrawlers crawls over the Female MUTO as the two creatures wrestles against each other only for the Male MUTO to fly across, picking off the Small Skullcrawlers off his mate before devouring them whole.
One of the Female MUTO's leg pierces the Skullcrawler's hide, causing it to roar out in agony.
Skullcrawler: BUARGHLLLL!!!
While the two are busy battling each other, at that moment, several more Skullcrawlers emerges from a nearby pool of water, crawling towards the battling monsters.
The Male MUTO notices this and he lunges forward, pinning down one of them only to get bitten in the neck by another.
CHOMP!!!
Male MUTO: KROOOOM!!!
The Male MUTO lets out an agonizing roar as the Skullcrawlers pin him down, biting down as they attempt to break him apart.
The Female MUTO realizes that her mate is in trouble and she drops the now dead Skullcrawler to assist her mate, which right at that moment, she heard a loud roar.
???: KRROOOM!!!
The Female MUTO turns her head, noticing another Female member of her species except this particular one is not only bigger but she also has a distinctive horn on the top of her carapass, like that of a crown.
The Queen MUTO looks at the oncoming Skullcrawlers and she lets out a loud roar.
Queen MUTO: KRRROOOOM!!!
Female MUTO: KROOOM!!!
Both the Female MUTO and the Queen MUTO charges across the battlefield, ramming into Skullcrawlers.
BAM!!!
The Female MUTO bites down onto one of the Skullcrawlers, killing it before throwing it at another oncoming one.
The Queen MUTO slams her claws down into a Skullcrawler, growling as she shakes her head, shaking off multiple Juveniles that attempt to attack her.
The sound of the fighting attracted the Skullcrawlers who were just starting to feast on the now dead Male MUTO who then proceeds to attack the two females.
The Queen MUTO rams into one of the Skullcrawlers, biting down onto it's neck.
CHOMP!!!
Skullcrawler: BUARGHLLLL!!!
At the same time, the Female MUTO thrashes her body, pushing one Skullcrawler off her just as another latches onto her by the back, biting down onto her.
CHOMP!!!
Female MUTO: BUARGHLLLL!!!
The Queen MUTO bites down at the Skullcrawler, pulling it off the Female MUTO before slamming it down onto the ground.
THOOM!!!
With the added weight lifted off of her, this gives the Female MUTO the chance she need to finish off the Skullcrawler she is busy with.
The two MUTOs then turns, seeing three more large Skullcrawlers entering the fray
As the two prepares to fight, right at that moment, a loud roar booms across the area.
???: KROOOM!!!
The Queen MUTO and Female MUTO quickly backs away as the three Skullcrawlers turn, their eyes widens as something bursts through the undergrowth.
THOOM!!!
The Skullcrawlers recovers and what they saw widens their eyes.
There looming over them is another MUTO except much it is not only much larger than the two but it also has a hardened outer shell covered with razor-sharp back spires, massive clawed forelimbs covered in orange scales and spikes, as well as several smaller pairs of forelimbs protruding from her abdomen
The creature is MUTO Prime, the largest and strongest of the MUTOs.
MUTO Prime: KREEAH!!!
The MUTO Prime lets out a loud roar and she swings her claw across, striking into the Skullcrawler.
WHAM!!!
The impact send the Skullcrawler through a mountain, instantly killing it.
Skullcrawler: BUARGHLLLL!!!
One of the Skullcrawlers bites down onto the MUTO Prime's leg, drawing blood in the process.
CHOMP!!!
Which was a big mistake as the Skullcrawler backs away, it's mouth burning from the heat of the MUTO Prime's blood.
The MUTO Prime then unleashes a Sonic Roar down onto the Skullcrawler.
MUTO Prime: KROOOM!!!
The Sonic Roar shook the ground as it struck onto the Skullcrawler, causing the creature to erupt into an explosion of blood and gore.
SPLOTCH!!!
The MUTO Prime turns to the last Skullcrawler who lunges at her, snapping it's jaws across her hardened exoskeleton to no avail.
The MUTO Prime slams the Skullcrawler back first onto the ground.
CRASH!!!
Skullcrawler: BUARGHHHHHLLLL!!!
As the Skullcrawler thrashes and snaps at her, the MUTO Prime injects her ovipositor into the Skullcrawler, injecting her eggs into it.
She then releases her grip, watching as the Skullcrawler quickly flees, not wanting to lose it's life to her.
The Skullcrawler continues running, running, it's speed slowing down, it's legs feeling wobbly before the creature tumbles onto the ground.
CRASH!!!
The Skullcrawler lays onto the floor, slowly dying as it feels it's flesh getting eaten from the inside out.
Feeling victorious, the MUTO Prime alongside the Queen MUTO and Female MUTO stood over the carcasses of the dead Skullcrawlers before letting out a loud triumphant roar.
MUTOs: KREEEEAH!!!
The roars echoes the island, attracting the attention of Kong as he stares at the source in concern.
KO!
<Island Song by by Ashley Erikkson>
Megumi: Well, looks like Kong's gonna have his hands full with this one.
Toomi: Despite the similarities they may share based off their roles against their rival, this is not really much of a competition.
Sachi: Indeed, while the MUTO eggs are sitting ducks, Juvenile Skullcrawlers definitely do not stand a chance against the adult MUTOs due to their smaller size.
Megumi: Though they certainly do have the numbers to make up for it as since the nest full of eggs is a delicious price, the number of Skullcrawlers can certainly keep the parents busy enough to take the eggs, that is if they can even kill them.
Toomi: The Male MUTO may be easier to take down by a Titan size Skullcrawler due to how smaller and weaker the males are as shown how Godzilla can bring down the Male with only a swing of his tail but the bigger and larger female is a whole different story, having even more limbs and incredible strength to bring down a Skullcrawler.
Sachi: There is also a lack of body armor to talk about, Skullcrawler bodies are completely vulnerable with no form of protection. Despite tanking bullets from a World War 1 plane, Hank Marlow was able to cut one Juvenile with a katana wheareas the Female MUTO and Male MUTO not only tank blows from Godzilla but the Female even took a face full of Godzilla's nuclear pulse and survived.
Megumi: And to give the Male credit, while he is not as strong as his female counterpart, his flight gives him the speed and well aerial advantage over the Skullcrawlers which other than their tongues, don't really have anything similar.
Toomi: If it wasn't enough to even bring down the Female MUTO, the Skullcrawlers definitely do not stand a chance against the Queen MUTO who is much bigger than she is.
Megumi: Not even bringing up the fact that the MUTO Prime that not only killed members of Godzilla's species but has tougher armor, a sonic roar, these Skullcrawlers would just be breeding grounds for a new MUTO generation.
Toomi: While the Skullcrawler's tongue and their larger numbers certainly gives them a slight edge, the MUTO's tougher armor, incredible strength and power is what affirming their place as the top predator of them all
Megumi: Looks like the MUTOs really sent those Skullcrawlers...well...crawling with eggs.
Sachi: The winners are the MUTOs
<Shows footages of the Male and Female MUTOs nuzzling each other>
Toomi: Hey guys, thank you so much for checking out our battle in What if Battles 2.

Trivia
* The connections between the MUTO and Skullcrawler is that both combatants are Kaijus created by Legendary Pictures that acts as ancient predators and rivals to Godzilla and Kong, the two species even nearly drove the latters species to near extinction due to their larger numbers and abilities to counter their preys' attacks. The two species have even killed members of Godzilla and Kong's species with MUTO Prime killing Dagon and the Skullcrawlers killing Kong's parents
* Both combatants have even came close to killing Godzilla and Kong with the Male and Female MUTO nearly killing Godzilla had Ford Brody not destroyed the nest and MUTO Prime overpowering Godzilla while Ramarak overpowered Kong and nearly killed him
* Interestingly, both species designs are based off designs from Kaijus from older films with the MUTOs being based off the Cloverfield monster and the Skullcrawlers being based off the Two Legged Lizard
* Both combatants were even defeated by an opponent blasting a powerful energy blast into their mouth with Godzilla killing the Female MUTO with his nuclear pulse and Mechagodzilla killing Number 10 with a plasma blast
* This is the first time a Legendary Pictures character fights a Legendary Pictures character
* This is the first time a Legendary Pictures character wins a What if Battle
* This is the first time a Legendary Pictures character loses a What if Battle
* Despite the two characters being part of the Godzilla and King Kong series, neither of them belongs to Toho or Universal Pictures, hence the two characters are not considered characters to either companies though Universal Pictures have worked with Legendary Pictures and Toho gave Legendary the rights to make a Godzilla film.
* This battle is most likely created to commemorate the release of Netflix Skull Island series, the upcoming Monarch: Legacy of Monster and Godzilla X Kong The New Empire
* During the MUTO's analysis, Megumi mentioning "Walter White" is a reference to how Bryan Cranston, the actor who played Walter White in Breaking Bad played Joseph Brody in the movie Godzilla 2014
* In the same analysis, Megumi even referenced that Ford and Elle Brody, who are played by Aaron Taylor Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen who also played Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as incest as the two actor played a married couple in the movie Godzilla 2014 only to be appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron as brother and sister
* During the Skullcrawler's analysis, Megumi mentioned Captain Marvel is a reference to how Brie Larson who played Mason Weaver in Kong Skull Island went on to play Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
