Toomi: Ladybug and Cat Noir, the Miraculous protectors of Paris,

Megumi: And Sharkboy and Lavagirl, the imaginary superhero friends of Max,

Toomi: Navigating a relationship is hard at the best of times, it certainly doesn't help when you and your significant other are being forced to constantly fight a revolving doors worth of villains

Megumi: But love will always prevail for these two group of these kid appeal superheroes. She's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi.

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Ladybug and Cat Noir are Miraculous for a What if Battle

Toomi: In the daytime, she's Marinette, just a normal girl with a normal life.

Megumi: But there's something about her that no one knows yet, is that she have a secret.

Sachi: Miraculous, simply the best. Up to the test when things go wrong. Miraculous, yeah I got this! I gotta confess I feel so strong! Miraculous!

Toomi: Wow, Sachi, I didn't know you could sing.

Sachi: Well I admit I do like the song and the series.

Megumi: Huh, you learn something new everyday.

Toomi: Growing up in Paris, fashion-designer hopeful Marinette Dupain-Cheng seemed cursed with eternal bad luck. That was until she met Tikki, a divine spirit "Kwami" that bestowed her with a miraculous, a magical piece of clothing that allows the wearer to take on a superhero identity. For Marinette's case, all she needs to do is to say," Tikki, spots on!" and it transforms her into a superhero named Ladybug

Sachi: But she isn't the only one who is part of this fight. Her crush, Adrien Agreste was born the heir to his father's massive fashion empire, a fate that cursed him to a life isolated within the walls of the family's mansion. It was only after Adrien's mother went missing that he was allowed to attend school.

Toomi: This was also around the same time he met Plagg, the Kwami of the Black Cat Miraculous. Using this, Adrien was able to team up with Ladybug to which all he needs to do is shout," Plagg, claws out!" and he transforms into Cat Noir.

Megumi: Crazy that he and Marinette go to the same school and are both superheroes...

Sachi: Well, they don't technically know the others identity-

Megumi: What? But aren't they superhero partners and stuff?

Sachi : Yes, but neither has been willing to give the other their identity.

Megumi : Are they in the same class?

Sachi: Yep.

Megumi: Do they know each other?

Sachi: Yes, very well.

Megumi: How the hell do they not realize then?! It's, like, a ten-centimeter stretch of plastic!

Toomi: We should move on...

Megumi: This show is fucking stupid! Superpowers and magical spirits I can take, but this? This is just insulting my intelligence.

Toomi: Truth to be told, there's really not much to insult about a show meant for kids.

Megumi: As Ladybug, Marinette receives substantial physical buffs. She's strong enough to hogtie golems of pure stone as well as building sized mechs and a even a fricking T-Rex.

Sachi: She's fast as well, being able to dodge around lasers, weave through specially shot arrows and move fast enough to push someone of the way of a lightning bolt.

Toomi: She's even durable enough to casually shrug off hits from The Mime, a villain who was capable of slicing through the Eiffel tower. Her main ability however comes in the form of her super-powered yo-yo. Despite looking like a bad kid's toy, this thing has a massive amount of uses. She can use it as a grappling hook, a rope, a long-range projectile and even slice through solid objects if she swings it fast enough. Using this, she was able to slice through the wall of a bus as well as reflect a Buzzsaw.

Sachi: This yo-yo also holds her key-ability, that being her "lucky charm". With this, she's able to summon an object that's related to her current objective. While this can sometimes be incredibly useful, it can be equally useless as well.

Megumi: But does that really matter when she can MacGyver the ever-living fuck out of whatever she gets?

Toomi: That's true. Marinette is exceedingly clever and able to utilize her lucky charm with effective ingenuity. Her aim is excellent, Marinette being able to successfully predict the flight paths of ricocheting objects in only a few seconds as well as successfully aim a ball so that it's bouncing pattern destroyed every light in the room.

Megumi: And because it's a Saturday morning cartoon show, it's not like Marinette ever really fumbles her lucky charms either.

Sachi: Exactly. It's incredibly rare for her to not find a way to use the item in her favor. Thanks to the all-encompassing summons of the miraculous, this gives her massive, if haphazard versatility in battle.

Toomi: Versatility that only increases when she feeds Tikki specialized macaroons that enhance her livability. Enabling her to swim and breathe underwater and even ice skate.

Sachi: She's not the only one though, when equipping the cat miraculous, Adrien gains increased physical attributes. Of course, there's the usual strength, speed and durability buffs given by the miraculous. Chat is capable of dodging around lightning strikes and scaling the underside of the Eiffel Tower in only a few seconds

Toomi: He's strong enough tip over a bus with the use of a fulcrum and can keep a strong grip on a ledge even when he's bound by a ball and chain. He casually tanks hits from enemies who were capable of easily shattering through walls and shrugged off hits from pigeons who had previously displayed enough force to heavily dent steel doors.

Sachi: Much like Ladybug with her yo-yo, Cat Noir's miraculous gives him a weapon, this being an extendable staff. Due to his civilian proficiency in fencing, Cat Noir can use it incredibly skillfully. Its extension is repeatedly used to attack foes at a distance but if he ever finds himself needing to get up close, he can launch forward with a pole-vault. He can also circularly spin the staff around to utilize it like a shield and can even split it in two and use it as a boomerang-style projectile.

Megumi: And if all else fails, he can utilize his miraculous ability: Cataclysm!

Toomi: Cataclysm brings instant destruction onto anything it touches, destroying or disintegrating the target of Cat Noir's right hand.

Sachi: He seems to have decent control of it as well, shown when he managed to specifically target a section of the Eiffel tower so that the beams were separated. As with Ladybug, he can use specifically flavored snacks to transform into Aqua and Ice forms.

Megumi: But one thing that makes them formidable is that the two have constantly saved Paris from time to time, defeating enemies ranging from Lady Wifi, Princess Fragrance, The Bubbler, Mr Pigeon, Volpina, Miracle Queen and pretty much every villain that shows up in this show.

Sachi: The two have matched against Hawk Moth and Mayura in battle multiple times, defeated an akumatised Chloe who fused her Bee Miraculous with the monkey, fox, horse and snake miraculous and even defeated evil versions of themselves

Toomi: With the power of the miraculous though, comes an equal amount of weaknesses. As powerful as their powers are, they can only use them once and will be left with five minutes before reverting back to their normal human forms.

Sachi: And their kwamis need to eat in order to gain back the energy to help both Marinette and Adrien transform back into their superhero alter egos

Megumi: And the fact that unlike Zatanna, the character whom people thought needs to say out her spells all the time, Miraculous users do have to say their commands out all the time, so if Marinette cannot say," Tikki, Spots On!" or Adrien cannot say," Plagg, Claws Out" they cannot transform, same as how they cannot use Lucky Charm or Cataclysm if they are silenced

Sachi: And also including the flaws of the two heroes with Marinette being a klutz and a nerve wreck in front of Adrien and Cat Noir hardly taking things seriously

Megumi: But you better watch out Hawk Moth, Cat Noir and Ladybug are formidable enough on their own but together, they are a seemingly unbeatable offensive tandem.

Sharkboy and Lava Girl can be Heroes in What if Battles

Toomi: Imagine your life at school where you are pretty much living the average life of a kid.

Megumi: Going to school, doing homework and getting bullied by that certain asshole in the class.

Toomi: Max is one such boy and to escape the harshness of reality, he tends to dream, dreaming about a planet called Planet Drool where he can manipulate anything and anyone there. Amongst his creation are two young heroes going by the name Sharkboy and Lava Girl.

Sachi: Sharkboy is originally a human who lived on the ocean with his unnamed father in a marine research base/laboratory where during his studies with the sharks, he grows an attachment to them that his father gave him that nickname.

Megumi: Until a storm destroyed the base and separated the two though Sharkboy was adopted by the same sharks who he befriended and they raise him from there, teaching him how to communicate in shark, how to swim, hunt and fight like a shark and he even grows gills. Now how does that work?

Toomi: I have no idea how to answer that. But, he then met Max who allows him to stay in his bathroom where he tells the boy about his adventures on Planet Drool and his friendship with Lava Girl though it isn't known how long they knew each other.

Sachi: And LavaGirl, a girl with a mysterious past which she can't remember due to amnesia, she lives in the volcanic region of Planet Drool which is where she gained her powers and like Sharkboy, she serves as imaginary Max's friend.

Megumi: Not really imaginary when the two arrives in a tornado in front of Max's school and plot twist, turns out all this Planet Drool and superhero stuff is actually real and darkness is taking over Planet Drool.

LavaGirl: I'm looking for Max.

Toomi: So using a spaceship, they traveled to planet Drool, faced many obstacles before confronting a villain named Mr. Electric who seems to be taking orders from someone.

Sachi: And after struggling to get Max to fall asleep, the trio were then captured where it reveals that Linus, now known as Minus in Max's dream was responsible for everything that has happened before Mr. Electric betrays him but as it turns out...

Megumi: Max simply wakes up and he saved the planet. Jesus, the plot of this entire movie really feel like a kid wrote it. Imaginary heroes and dreamlands oh my.

Toomi: Not to say all of this is imaginary as Sharkboy and LavaGirl are real life superheroes in the spin off movie "We Can Be Heroes" and they were part of a superhero team called The Heroics and even have a daughter.

Toomi: Anyway, like his name suggests, Sharkboy possesses the abilities of a shark, the ability to swim at high speeds, incredible strength, bite force capable of biting hard.

Sachi: He can also breathe underwater and even communicate with animals, mostly aquatic life.

Sachi: And LavaGirl though shown to be a capable combatant and very creative, she suffers from an identity crisis throughout most of the film, and she can be a bit impulsive at times

LavaGirl: That is why we have to stop you.

Sharkboy: Now?

LavaGirl: Now!

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

In a nice Sunday afternoon, all seems to be peaceful.

That is until Mr. Pigeon stood on the top of the tower, hands on his hips as he declares out.

Mr. Pigeon: Now, after all these days, I Mr. Pigeon shall make all of Paris the best Pigeon haven for all!

However, right at that moment, Mr. Pigeon heard a voice saying to him.

???: Sorry bird man but that's not gonna happen.

Mr. Pigeon turns, expecting to see Ladybug and Cat Noir only to find himself facing an unusual pair.

Mr. Pigeon: What the, you're not Ladybug and Cat Noir.

Sure, the pair is a red costumed heroine and an animal theme hero except that the red heroine has long pink hair, lack of black dots and has fire engulfing her body and hair while her male compaitre has a shark themed costume instead of a cat and he has spiky black hair instead of blonde hair.

The girl then introduces herself.

LavaGirl: I'm LavaGirl, this is Sharkboy and we're here to stop you.

Mr. Pigeon: No matter! You are no match for me!

Mr. Pigeon grabs his umbrella as he lunges towards Sharkboy who simply stops Mr, Pigeon with a single arm just as LavaGirl fires a burst of flames at the akumatised villain.

FWOOM!!!

Mr. Pigeon: WAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Mr. Pigeon screams out as he was sent flying off the effiel tower, falling flat on a platform.

CLANG!!!

As Mr. Pigeon lay there unconscious, right at that moment, another pair of red and animal theme heroes arrives on the scene, landing in front of Sharkboy and LavaGirl.

They are Ladybug and Cat Noir, Paris' Miraculous defenders.

Ladybug then said to Cat Noir.

Ladybug: Look Cat Noir, it seems Hawk Moth has created some new super villains.

Cat Noir: I'm surprised as well M'lady, thought we would have to fight Mr. Pigeon for the 73rd time.

Ladybug: Anyway, I think that umbrella that boy's carrying must be the akumatised object.

Cat Noir stares at Mr. Pigeon's umbrella that Sharkboy is holding and he expresses out.

Cat Noir: Seriously? Why does fish face here have an umbrella? Don't fish like the water?

Upon hearing that, Sharkboy growls at Cat Noir.

Sharkboy: What do you say?!

Cat Noir: Uh oh!

Ladybug then brandishes her yo yo, spinning it around as she declares out.

Ladybug: You don't scare me! Let me end your evil ways!

Taking Ladybug's words out of context, LavaGirl engulfs her hands with fire, thinking the bug heroine wants to end her life as she shouts.

LavaGirl: Nuh uh! You're not coming anywhere near me!

Sharkboy tosses the umbrella aside as he clenches his fist, growling at Cat Noir.

Both pairs faces each other before lunging towards each other.

Announcer: Fight!

Ladybug and LavaGirl lands across each other before LavaGirl throws multiple bursts of fire at Ladybug, causing her to deflect each blast with her spinning yoyo.

While Ladybug and LavaGirl are locked in battle, Cat Noir held his staff and he swerves his body to the side, dodging a punch from Sharkboy.

Cat Noir swings his staff out as Sharkboy blocks the attack with his arm before swinging his hand out, forcing the cat themed hero to jump back.

Cat Noir: Whoa!

Sharkboy: ROOOOAAARRR!!!

Sharkboy roars out as charges forward, forcing Cat Noir to leap over before delivering a kick, striking Sharkboy by the back of the head.

WHAM!!!

Staggering forward, Sharkboy rubs his head before turning around, growling.

At the same time, Ladybug slides underneath LavaGirl as she unleashes a burst of fire, narrowingly dodging the attack before throwing her yoyo upwards, wrapping it around LavaGirl's body.

Twip!

LavaGirl: Huh? WHOA!!!

LavaGirl screams out as Ladybug gives a hard tug, forcing her to crash onto the ground.

BAM!!!

Ladybug pulls her yoyo back just as LavaGirl unleashes a burst of fire at her.

FWOOSH!!!

Ladybug: WHOA!!! Hot!

Ladybug backflips away from the fire, stopping back to back with Cat Noir.

As the pair faces their opponent, Ladybug says to Cat Noir.

Ladybug: Wow, those two are way stronger than I thought.

Cat Noir: Whatcha say M'lady? Wanna trade?

Ladybug smiles as the two highfives, shouting out in unison.

Ladybug and Cat Noir: Switch!

Ladybug then faces off Sharkboy, pouncing into him as the two falls over the effiel tower, landing right into the nearby river.

SPLASH!!!

At the same time, Cat Noir dashes forward, dodging as LavaGirl throws several bursts of flames right at him.

FWOOSH!!! FWOOSH!!!

Cat Noir then swings his staff out just as LavaGirl unleashes a burst of fire.

FWOOSH!!!

Both Cat Noir and LavaGirl moves across the platform, exchanging blows amongst themselves.

CLANG!!! FWOOM!!! CLANG!!! FWOOM!!!

Underwater

<Cue: Adrenaline by Sati Akura>

Meanwhile underway, Ladybug quickly jumps out onto a nearby lifeboat before detransforming herself back into Marinette.

Marinette then feeds Tikki an Aqua charmed macaroon just as Sharkboy swims underwater swiftly.

WHOOSH!!!

Swimming at speeds beyond that of a human, Sharkboy circles the lifeboat Ladybug is on, similar to how real sharks circle their prey before lunging forward, opening his jaws as he bites down onto the boat.

CHOMP!!!

A single bite immediately destroys the boat completely except this time, Ladybug dives underwater, striking into Sharkboy.

WHAM!!!

Sharkboy looks, surprised to see Ladybug now donning an aqua powered costume which enabled her to breathe underwater.

Sharkboy: What?! But how? I thought bugs can't swim.

Ladybug: No but this one does.

Ladybug and Sharkboy swims towards each other, closing in as the two bounces off each other, swims forward as the two throws a punch that collides into each other at once.

WHAM!!!

Ladybug and Sharkboy swims away before circling back, grabbing each other as the two spins around.

WHOSSH!!!

Outside

SPLASH!!!

Both Ladybug and Sharkboy jumps out of the water, only for Sharkboy to grab Ladybug before throwing her at the effiel tower.

Ladybug: YAHHHHH!!!

Ladybug screams out as she slams bodyfirst into the metal structure.

CLANG!!!

Ladybug then falls over, landing right on top of Cat Noir.

THUMP!!!

Cat Noir: OW!!!

Cat Noir although hurt by the hard landing he took, looks up at Ladybug and he jokes

Cat Noir: Glad to see you drop by M'lady.

Ladybug shakes her head as she gets up, helping up Cat Noir just as Sharkboy lands feet first on the platform next to LavaGirl.

Ladybug then declares out, time to step up our game. Lucky Charm!

The yoyo flies up, glowing before erupting in a bright burst of light, forming a red and black coloured fire hose.

Ladybug stares at the hose in confusion before looking, seeing her ladybugs hinting her by flashing red and black over a fire hydrant, LavaGirl herself and the river before an idea dawned on her.

Ladybug: That's it! Cat Noir, I'll leave the shark boy to you.

Cat Noir: Gotcha M'lady!

LavaGirl notices Ladybug leaping off the effiel tower before she says to Sharkboy.

LavaGirl: You stay here. I'll deal with the bug.

Sharkboy nods before facing Cat Noir as he the cat themed hero screams out as he unlocks his power.

Cat Noir: Cataclysm!

Engulfing his hand with the highly destructive energy, Cat Noir faces Sharkboy as the boy lunges at him.

Cat Noir swerves to the side before swinging his leg across, tripping Sharkboy over a ledge.

Sharkboy: WHOAAA!!!

As Sharkboy falls over, Cat Noir jumps down and he touches Sharkboy in the chest, cataclysming the shark themed hero.

STHOOM!!!

Sharkboy's eyes widens in agony as he fall, shattering the umbrella beneath him as his entire body weakened before landing on the ground, unconscious.

The broken umbrella then reveals the akuma flying out as Cat Noir lands but what he saw causes his eyes to widen in horror.

There lying on the platform below is Mr. Pigeon, the villain they were supposed to be fighting.

Everything suddenly dawns on Cat Noir as he realises the horrific truth.

Cat Noir: Uh oh.

At the same time, LavaGirl flies down as she looks around for Ladybug when right at that moment, she heard a voice calling out to her.

Ladybug: Hey!

LavaGirl turns around and her face drops as Ladybug turns the tap, unleashing a powerful torrent of water right at LavaGirl.

SPLOSH!!!

LavaGirl fires a blast of fire at Ladybug, attempting to quell the stream of water thrown at her.

Ladybug then cranks the water up, causing the water to overpower LavaGirl's fire before splashing right into her.

SPLASH!!!

LavaGirl: AAAAHHHHH!!!

The force of the water immediately sents LavaGirl splashing into the water where it ends up dousing the fire around her, instantly weakening her.

Ladybug then throws her yoyo, pulling out the weakened LavaGirl as Cat Noir lands next to her, his face full of distress.

Cat Noir: Uh M'Lady, something terrible just happened.

Ladybug: What is it?

Cat Noir: Um, you see that?

Ladybug stares at the akuma flying, but there is only one akuma and two "villains".

Ladybug then looks as Cat Noir pulls out the dead Sharkboy and the unconscious Mr. Pigeon, causing her to gasp out.

Ladybug: Oh no! You mean, we attacked these two by mistake?

Cat Noir: I'm afraid so Ladybug.

Ladybug then asks Cat Noir.

Ladybug: Is he alive?

Cat Noir: I cataclysmed him but his superpower must have saved him from getting erased.

Ladybug: Then there is a chance to right our wrong!

Ladybug turns to the akuma and she says.

Ladybug: No more evil doing for you Little Akuma. Time to de-evilise!

She then throws her yoyo, catching the dark butterfly, turning the butterfly white as she shouts

Ladybug: Gotcha!

After quelling the evil within the butterfly, Ladybug sets it free, waving it goodbye as the butterfly takes off into the sky.

Ladybug: Bye bye little butterfly.

Ladybug then throws up the tied up fire hose as she screams out.

Ladybug: Miraculous Ladybug!

The object then transforms into a swarm of magical ladybugs that instantly fixes every collateral damage caused from the fight, fixing the damaged structure of the effiel tower, the broken umbrella and even heal both Sharkboy and LavaGirl's injuries.

At the same time, Mr. Pigeon transforms back into Mr. Ramier who looks around confusely.

Both Sharkboy and LavaGirl opens their eyes, looking around in confusion as they questioned each other.

Sharkboy: Huh?

LavaGirl: What's going on?

Both Sharkboy and LavaGirl looks as both Ladybug and Cat Noir gives each other a fist bump as they cheer out in unison.

Ladybug and Cat Noir: Pound it!

Megumi: Man, they really need to stop getting kids into the superhero industry.

Toomi: On paper, both teams sure have interesting powers but in skills and experience, Ladybug and Cat Noir completely dominates Sharkboy and LavaGirl.

Sachi: I mean Ladybug and Cat Noir spent most of their everyday lives fighting supervillains with incredible speed, strength and even power whereas Sharkboy and LavaGirl didn't really fight that many villains.

Megumi: Plus the fact the two were struggling to even fight fodder enemies like circuit dogs and giant cookies, yeah, if both teams were to switch villains, I can't see them beating any of Hawk Moth's akumatised villains.

Toomi: Even if you were to say Sharkboy and LavaGirl are experienced due to how they are professional heroes in the movie "We Can Be Heroes" both of them didn't really do much in the show, plus with the infighting amongst their teammates and the fact they allowed themselves to get captured just to train their kids to be heroes doesn't really spell out super powerful. Instead spells out lack of teamwork, compared to Ladybug and Cat Noir who works well with each other and even get along well with the other Miraculous holders.

Sachi: Even more so when the alien invasion turns out to be designed for kids to handle so with the easy riddles, the weak guards and the security that is comparable to Arkham Asylum.

Megumi: I'm more surprised that most of them with the exception of Chloe are even able to cooperate and even return the Miraculous back to Ladybug when in reality, most people would never give up their new found powers.

Toomi: And finally there is powers. While both teams have superhuman strength, speed, endurance that exceeds that of a normal human, Ladybug and Cat Noir's choice of weapons, better unarmed combat skills and their Lucky Charm and Cataclysm gives them a huge versatiity advantage over Sharkboy and LavaGirl who's powers are pretty basic in comparison.

Megumi: But even if you want to bring up LavaGirl's planetary feat of clearing a planet wide storm, Ladybug and Cat Noir defeated Stormy Weather who received an upgrade which causes her to create a planet wide storm which shows that Ladybug and Cat Noir have scaled to someone who has performed a similar feat to her.

Toomi: Having better fighting skills, more versatile arsenal and way more powerful powers, we can conclude that in this battle of teamwork and combat, both Ladybug and Cat Noir are the much better pair of this brawl.

Megumi: Considering that no one died in a "fight to the death" that ending surely was Miraculous

Sachi: The winners are Ladybug and Cat Noir

* The connections between Ladybug and Cat Noir and Sharkboy and Lava Girl is that both teams consists of a mix gender pair of superheroes that are much younger than most generic superheroes with superpowers that allows them to fight villains and help people when they most needed it. The two teams also being made to appeal to children

* The groups were also part of a superhero team, with Ladybug and Cat Noir teaming up with the Miraculous, other young teens who Ladybug gives a Miraculous to aid them in their battles and Sharkboy and Lava Girl joining a superhero team called The Heroics

* Interestingly, Cat Noir and Sharkboy are animal theme superheroes with opposing factions, with Cat Noir being a cat and Sharkboy being a fish

* During Ladybug and Cat Noir's analysis, Toomi and Megumi's way of starting off is based off their respective series intro where Marinette introduces herself along with Sachi singing out the song "Miraculous Ladybug" by Laura Marano

* Shockingly, during Sharkboy and LavaGirl's analysis, Megumi ended it off by making a reference to both the spin off movie title and the David Bowie song "Heroes" which was sung in the movie

* Megumi raging at the show's logic is based off Daddy-Mikasa and some of the viewers reaction over the show teasing the romance between Marinette and Adrien but the show keeps coming up with weird reasons and logics to why they should never get together

* During Sharkboy and LavaGirl's analysis, Megumi mentioning how the pair are more heroic than Homelander is a reference to a poll Daddy-Mikasa made and the fact that despite being a kids show, the two do inspire people both in reality and in their own series and are complete opposites to a cartoonishly evil villain like Homelander.

* During the battle, Mr. Pigeon appeared as the villain Ladybug and Cat Noir were supposed to fight before the two mistook LavaGirl and Sharkboy as the akumatised villain, which makes this Mr. Pigeon's 73rd akumatisation though it contradicts the show as Ladybug gave Xavier Ramier a magical charm in Mr. Pigeon 72 to prevent him from getting akumatised in future
