Hisoka vs Gambit

Requested by MLPFan001

Hunter X Hunter vs Marvel Comics, Bazaar Magician vs Raging Cajun, Nen vs Kinetic Energy, Phantom Troupe vs X-Men, Bungee Gum vs Bo Staff, Cards vs Cards, when two master of cards draws in a fight, both fighters will have to draw their trump cards in this trick taking game of death. Will Hisoka beat Gambit in Blackjack or will Gambit take down Hisoka with a Royal Flush

<Cue: Invader Theme>

Toomi: Hisoka Morow, also known as The Magician or Grim Reaper,

Megumi: And Remy LeBeau, more famously known as Gambit of the X-Men,

Toomi: Poker, Blackjack, GoFish, there are so many games that uses cards and the fact cards can be used for many things

Megumi: And these two uses cards to fight, she's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Hisoka Gums up for What if Battles

<Cue: The Victim Card by Maya Karli>

Toomi: In the world of Hunter X Hunter, a Hunter's job is not only that of looking for treasures and hunting animals. True Hunters dedicate themselves to the protection of knowledge, people, and nature. They must preserve culturally precious items or species of animals and plants they are able to discover.

Megumi: But of course in order to become a Hunter, one such as young Gon Freecss himself have to take part in the Hunter Exam.

Sachi: And among the many was the clown like Hisoka Morow, just a seemingly regular contender who shows a great perverse interest in Gon.

Toomi: Though Hisoka did pass the Hunter exam after making Bodoro surrender, it was not the end as he was seen in the Heavens Arena, revealing to Gon and Killua that he is more than he seems.

Megumi: Like three of our last Hunter X Hunter combatants from our previous fights, Hisoka Morow's seeming magic tricks are from Nen, the ability to harness and manipulate the aura present in the user's body.

Sachi: Being a Transmuter, endowed with a powerful, sinister aura that disquieted Wing and Gon even after the latter learned Nen. He manifests his high level of proficiency in his natural category primarily through his Nen ability, Bungee Gum.

Hisoka: Bungee Gum possesses the properties of both rubber and gum.

Toomi: Which fun fact, was named after his favourite candy. And aside from Transmutation, Hisoka is also a skilled at Conjuration, where he can conjures things out of thin air. With these Nen abilities making it seem like he is using magic.

Megumi: Even without Nen, Hisoka is already pretty strong having enough physical strength to send full grown men flying with a punch, shatter stones with a single blow and during a game of dodgeball, even caught a ball reinforced with Nen.

Sachi: His Bungee Gum of his also can be used to pull enemies towards him, block projectiles, create artificial limbs and even be used to restart his hearts and lungs to bring him back to life from the dead.

Toomi: During Hisoka's time with the Phantom Troupe, he was considered the third strongest and for good reason. He has killed many people in his life time, killing a few Hunter Exam applicants while breezing through it. Like think of it as a Level 50 boss going through a Level 1 test.

Sachi: He has even taken punches from an enraged Gon, barely slowed from having his limbs cut off and even clashed with Chrollo Lucilfer, the leader of the Phantom Troupe.

Megumi: And remember the thing about Dodgeball, yeah, it is more impressive than it sound

<Shows footages of Razor throwing the dodge ball.>

Feats

Was the third strongest member of the Phantom Troupe during his time there

Killed several applicants in the Hunters Exam

Knocked out Leorio with one punch

Easily killed Togari

Decapitated Geretta

Fought Kurapika in the Hunters Exam

-Only lost because he renounced the match

Killed Kastro with playing cards and his own severed left arm

Easily defeated Gon in the Heavens Arena

Manipulated the Phantom Troupe so he could fight Chrollo

Beat Razor in dodge ball

-More impressive than it sounds

Killed Gotoh

Killed Teradein Neutral

Battled Chrollo Lucilfer, leader of the Phantom Troupe

After being killed by Chrollo, used Bungee Gum to restart his heart and lungs, bringing him back to life

Killed Shalnark and Kortopi, effectively declaring war on the Phantom Troupe

Toomi: Hisoka has even killed Shalnark and Kortopi of the Phantom Troupe, with Shalnark even once killed a Chimera Ant. Hisoka has even infiltrated the team just so that he can fight with Chrollo.

Megumi: And he did a good job, since no one knew about his true intentions until he revealed it.

Toomi: However, Hisoka is well, just super horny. Having great attraction to whoever he knows is strong and will do whatever it takes to fight them.

Sachi: Just like quitting during a fight with Kurapika despite being capable of defeating him easily, sparing Gon and even to an extent, willing to protect him just to fight him himself.

Megumi: Though I feel like his attraction to children is the main reason for that.

<Shows footages of Hisoka staring at both Gon and Killua's butts>

Weakness

Cocky

Is a sadomasochist

Loves causing pain

Will spare enemies he finds interesting, just so he can have the chance to kill them later

Has a disregard for his own well being

Didn't really care after getting his arms sliced off

Toomi: Hisoka's lust for power and strength has also includes the fact he is a sadomasochist, enjoying taking pain just as much as he likes inflicting it, such as how he allowed Gon to beat him up just to reach close to orgasm, take on Chrollo which resulted in his death and even challenge Netero to a fight despite the old man being far stronger than he is

Sachi: Which also helps buy the fact that he is pretty cocky as he thinks he can take on anyone, regardless whether they can beat him or not

Megumi: But hey, he looks cool, he has cool moves and he's a nice change of pace from clowns like Pennywise or Art the Clown, but I definitely don't want this guy anywhere near a school or even a playground.

Hisoka: Wait patiently, until the fruit becomes ripen for me to pluck

Gambit draws his cards for a What if Battles

<Cue: The Gambler by Kenny Rogers>

Toomi: Mutants - many of them are the cause of accidents. This was not the case with Gambit, who was clearly a mutant from the day he was born.

Megumi: See those red eyes of his? Yeah, his pupils were red instead of black. So his biological parents abandoned him, and he was kidnapped by some guys who called themselves... the Thieves' Guild.

Sachi: This child was raised in the ways of thievery, and once tried to pickpocket a man named Jean-Luc LeBeau. Instead of getting upset about it, LeBeau took him into his family and gave him the proper name, Remy LeBeau.

Megumi: Buuuuuut then as part of a peace pact between the Thieves' Guild and the Assassins' Guild, Remy was arranged to marry this chick, Bella Donna Bo-u- sorry, what?

Toomi: Boudreaux. Anyway, this didn't work out, as her brother objected to the marriage, and then tried to kill Remy. Remy killed this man in self-defense, and as a result was excommunicated from the Thieves' Guild in an attempt to keep peace between guilds.

Sachi: And then ol' Remy traveled the world and joined the X-Men in order to learn more about his powers, and adopted the nickname... Gambit.

Megumi: So Toomi, you know how all mutants in X-Men have some sort of weird power?

Toomi: Yes I do Megumi.

Megumi: Well, Remy learned he had the power to blow shit up!

Toomi: Indeed he does. You see, Remy doesn't just "blow shit up", he literally converts the potential energy in an object to kinetic energy, and somehow this causes the object to explode. It takes longer for larger objects to explode, but he hardly needs to blow up larger objects.

Sachi: His trademark weapons are playing cards, which usually explode with the same force as hand-grenades! They're also much easier to store than hand-grenades

Rogue: What is it with you and cards

Gambit: Well, it's like having 52 explosives tucked away in one later pocket.

Megumi: And no one would ever see an attack like THAT coming.

Toomi: He also wields a telescopic bo staff made of an adamantium alloy, and as such is nigh-indestructible, as well as some throwing knives and spikes. But, it doesn't end there. In addition to converting potential to kinetic energy, he can also increase an object's kinetic energy. This can give his bo staff the power to level houses, or his cards the force to even pierce through metal.

Megumi: And if that wasn't enough, Gambit literally has the power to make people believe everything he says! It's some sort of hypnotic charm he has, and he doesn't even have to try to do it. Man, if only I could have that power...

Sachi: In addition, Gambit can use static interference to resist mind-invasion. He's not immune to it, but it is very painful to anyone who even attempts it. Gambit is also trained in Savate, Bojitsu, Street Fighting, Acrobatics, and Fencing, making him an excellent hand-to-hand combatant.

Toomi: Gambit has even defeated a weakened Wolverine, held his own against the likes of Spider-Man, Daredevil, Deadpool, Captain America, Rogue, Blade and Daken, bested Bishop without his powers and even tanked explosions.

Feats

Defeated Bishop without powers

Took on Wolverine, Spider-Man, Deadpool, Rogue, Captain America, Blade, Moon Knight, Bullseye and Daken

Defeats Fantomex during a heist and escapes

A person threatens to detonate a nuclear device, but Gambit cuts a millimeter wire on the device from 50 feet away before she can trigger it

Fights the Shiar Imperial Guard and holds his own

Takes on a large group of Shiar soldiers with Deadpool's help

Rides his motorcycle down a building held by the Juggernaut and flips to throw cards in Juggernaut's face^^PV (Note: Juggernaut was very weakened here)

Casually handles two meta-humans

Says he is a master of Savate

Gets through security measures and takes out the awaiting security force

Handles Hydra's security measures

Takes down a super strong and durable opponent

Easily takes down a telekinetic opponent by charging his body armor

Schools X-Men students in combat drill

Stuns Psylocke

With Rockslide, Gambit generates one of the largest mutant generated force blasts ever recorded

In an attack on a moving convoy, Gambit avoids numerous volleys of gunfire, and moves on and between moving vehicles^^PV

Often casually moves or flips around to evade bullets and other projectiles

Races the clock as he moves through Moira McTaggert's facility to grab data before it departs with a rocket^^PV

Rogue leaves Gambit in the Danger Room only to have him appear ahead of her

Breaks into a museum and flips through a security grid while somewhat weakened^^PV

Drops into a building via a skylight and then changes into a tux as he flips through the building^^PV

Flips down a structure, quickly taking out guards

Outmaneuvers three giant monsters

Toomi: But all that aside, Gambit is not perfect. While he has a huge number of projectiles, they're not unlimited. His hypnosis can be resisted, and his mutant power is completely ineffective on living tissue. Yes, we know that he was able to do this for a while. But he can't anymore. Finally, as a result of his red pupils, his eyes are hypersensitive to light.

Sachi: And he's haven't have the best win loss records, having been beaten by Juggernaut, Magneto, Spider-Man and many more.

Weakness

Quicksilver grabs Gambit before he can even register what's happening

Charges Mr. Sinister, but Mr. Sinister reacts in time to blast him

Gambit avoids some of Magneto's attacks, but eventually gets tagged

An automated Iron Man armor takes out Gambit with a wide-beam

Deathbird attacks and Gambit fails to avoid her thrown lance

Juggernaut KO's Gambit with a flick

Gets KO'd by Wild Child for a bit

Hit by a bioelectric blast from the Von Strucker twins and is temporarily incapacitated

Mr. Sinister KO's Gambit with an energy blast

Stunned by a surprise punch to the back of the head

Megumi: This guy takes "Blinded by the Light" to a whole new level. But, Gambit's got too many things going for him to be worried about that.

Gambit: You want to play with Gambit? Here, take a card!

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Sachi: Don't forget to vote, comment what you think of the fight.

Megumi: Yeah, but right now, it's time for a Death Battle!

Fight

Casino

<Cue: Poker Face by Lady Gaga>

Inside a bustling casino, large numbers of people crowd around tables and casino machines as each patron tries their luck to win some cash.

Seated down on a table is Gambit who easily another win.

Just then, Gambit notices a newcomer approaching him.

The newcomer dons a rather unusual clown getup with a sadistic sneer and an aura that makes Gambit feel rather uneasy.

Despite this however, Gambit welcomes the newcomer for a game.

Gambit: You new guy, up for a game?

Hisoka: You betcha.

Hisoka sits down and he introduces himself.

Hisoka: Forgive the intrusion, my name is Hisoka and I would like to ask if you are Remy LeBeau?

Gambit looks up and he answers.

Gambit: Sure, what's it to you?

Hisoka: Well, I am up for a game, so let me just show you my deck of cards.

Hisoka without warning throws the cards at Gambit whom the latter catches with ease.

Gambit: Fine then.

Gambit tosses the cards to the side, the two ignoring the fleeing guests as Gambit challenges Hisoka.

Gambit: But it will be your loss Mon Cheri.

Hisoka: Oh I wouldn't bet on it.

Announcer: Fight!

<Cue: Troublemaker by Taio Cruz>

Gambit throws the cards back at Hisoka whom the latter swerves his body around, dodging the projectiles.

At that moment, he looks up, seeing Gambit closing in onto him before swinging his bo staff right down.

BAM!!!

Just as Hisoka is sent flying up, Gambit strikes him repeatly with his bo staff, shouting.

Gambit: Hit the strike!

WHACK!!!

The last shot sends Hisoka flying, crashing across a gambling table.

CRASH!!!

Hisoka pushes himself up, complimenting Gambit.

Hisoka: Not bad, I can see why you are that tough to capture.

Gambit: You won't be capturing me t'day.

Hisoka: Capture you? No. I just needed to test your strength and since you have shown me just what kind of power you have...

Hisoka began to emit a threatening aura, his face contorts into that of a pervertic look full of sadism as he finishes his sentence.

Hisoka: I'm just craving for more!

Gambit: Tch, you're sick you know that.

Gambit then leaps into the air, throwing multiple cards down at Hisoka watching as the cards began going off in an explosion.

KABOOM!!!

However, right at that moment, Hisoka appears behind Gambit before striking him from behind.

WHAM!!!

The impact sends Gambit falling and just as he crashes onto the floor, Hisoka reappears before swinging his leg out, delivering a hard kick into the mutant.

WHAM!!!

Hisoka uses his bungee gum, sticking it onto Gambit before tugging the gum, pulling Gambit towards him just as he turn around, raising his hand out as he strikes Gambit in the face.

POW!!!

Hisoka attempts to punch Gambit once more only this time, Gambit's eyes began glowing before he slides a card at Hisoka, only for the latter to react too late as the card goes off in an explosion.

KABOOM!!!

The explosion sends Hisoka flying, crashing through the wall of the casino.

CRASH!!!

Hisoka rolls across the floor, coughing out blood from the explosion.

Gambit however, jumps up, asking him.

Gambit: Had enough?

Hisoka: Oh ho ho! I'm just getting warmed up.

Gambit throws more cards at Hisoka only for Hisoka to catch them before throwing them back at Gambit.

Gambit catches the cards and he tosses them, only to find out something is wrong.

Gambit: What?

Gambit takes a look, realising that his cards are stuck on his hand with what looks like gum.

Hisoka: Did you know, that bungee gum has the property of both rubber and gum?

Hisoka then shifts towards Gambit, striking him hard in the jaw.

WHAM!!!

While flying in the air, Gambit uses dissolution to melt the Bungee Gum before flipping in the air, landing feet first on the wall before launching himself upwards.

Hisoka turns around, ducking his head down just as Gambit flies past him, swinging his bo staff across.

Gambit widens his eyes in shock just as Hisoka turns to face him.

Hisoka: My turn.

Hisoka throws several cards, striking them into Gambit.

SHOK!!! SHOK!!! SHOK!!!

Hisoka lunges forward, thrusting his knee into Gambit's chin.

WHAM!!!

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Hisoka strikes at Gambit repeatly before grabbing onto him, preparing to throw one more punch.

Gambit however, still has an ace up his sleeve.

Literally.

Sliding out an ace card from within his sleeve, Gambit channels the kinetic energy into the card before slapping it onto Hisoka.

Hisoka stares in shock as Gambit kicks him away.

WHAM!!!

Before Hisoka could react, the card goes off in a massive explosion.

KABOOM!!!

Landing feet first on the ground, Gambit dusts himself and he spat.

Gambit: Sorry pal. But you won't be taking anything.

As the smoke clears, all Gambit saw was a charred corpse of what was once Hisoka.

Gambit stares down at him and he spat.

Gambit: Tch. You know, I almost feel sorry for you. All that damage, I really overdid it.

Gambit then turns around, ready to leave.

<Cue: Make Your Own Kind of Music by Cass Elliot>

However, right at that moment, Hisoka shot up, awaking from the near death attack.

Creepily standing up, Hisoka shot out his bungee gum, catching Gambit off guard.

Gambit: What?

Hisoka then began spinning Gambit around in the air, slamming him across the wall of the buildings nearby.

SMASH!!! SMASH!!! SMASH!!!

Hisoka then slams his arms down, wanting to slam Gambit onto the floor.

Using his kinentic energy, Gambit disintergrates the bungee gum before lunging downwards, flying straight towards Hisoka.

Hisoka turns as Gambit swings his leg out, delivering a hard kick across Hisoka's head.

BAM!!!

The kick sends Hisoka flying before crashing onto a car.

CRASH!!!

Stunned by the attack, Hisoka thought to himself.

Hisoka: That blow...

Not willing to let his opponentt get up, Gambit rushes forward, grabbing Hisoka by his shirt before slamming him onto the ground.

CRASH!!!

Gambit then probes Hisoka repeatly with his bo staff before hitting him upwards.

WHACK!!!

Gambit began attacking Hisoka with a flurry of strikes, not giving his opponent a chance to breathe.

However, little does he know, that Hisoka is in a whole another world.

Hisoka: Yes...Yes...

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Despite being struck with multiple strikes at once, Hisoka found himself getting more and more aroused.

Hisoka: More...more...more...more...OOOHHHHHHH!!!

Gambit punches Hisoka across the face.

WHAM!!!

He then thrusts his knee up, sending Hisoka flying with a knee.

BAM!!!

Gambit: It's over for you mon cheri.

Gambit charges kinetic energy into his cards as he throws them up at Hisoka only for Hisoka to say.

Hisoka: This has been fun but now. It's time to...break you.

Gambit: What?!

Hisoka uses the bungee gum to stop the cards before throwing them down onto Gambit, causing the cards to go off in a massive explosion.

KABOOM!!!

Gambit coughs out blood as the explosion sends him flying up.

At that moment, Hisoka shot out another bungee gum, sticking onto the mutant onto the ground

Gambit: Huh?

Before Gambit could react, Hisoka bungee jumps down and he thrusts his arms out as he reaches just above Gambit.

SLIT!!!

After a moment of silence, at that moment, blood began splurting out of Gambit's throat.

SPLOSH!!!

Gambit: HUARRGHHHH!!!

Gambit coughs out blood as Hisoka lands feet first, smirking as he watches Gambit attempts to grab his throat to stop the bleeding before collapsing onto the ground, dead.

As blood pools underneath Gambit's body, Hisoka smiles and he says

Hisoka: Out of all my playthings, you sure the most fun I ever had.

KO!

<Cue: Island Song by Ashley Eriksson>

Megumi: Man, you know when Hisoka is trying to steal Gambit's heart, I was not expecting him to do so literally.

Toomi: Both Hisoka and Gambit's mastery of cards certainly makes this a poker game of equally high stakes and both have ways to counter each other.

Sachi: Their use of trickery certainly help keep each other on their toes as Hisoka's nen enable him to take hits from Gambit despite Gambit having taken on beings stronger than Hisoka.

Megumi: Hisoka is also much more experienced in fighting than Gambit, being older and having fought more opponents, especially since he has had a high kill count even before passing his Hunter Exam.

Toomi: So it does beg the question as Gambit is physically stronger and has more destructive attacks against Hisoka's agility and trickery, which one of those two traits would be superior. And Hisoka actually has more ways to kill Gambit.

Megumi: I mean Gambit's attacks though more destructive is actually pretty basic as even weaker opponents has survived getting attacked by his cards whereas the same cannot be said with Hisoka.

Sachi: And Hisoka's bungee gum certainly not only gives him a range advantage but also many others. Like he can use Remy LeBeau's attacks against him by sticking his cards onto Gambit with Bungee Gum, use Bungee Gum to propel Gambit either towards him or use him as a flail and should Gambit kill him, Hisoka can use bungee gum to restart his heart the same way he did after getting killed by Chrollo.

Megumi: Yeah...Gambit has nothing like that in his arsenal.

Toomi: Having the best kind of trump card in his arsenal, we can conclude that while Gambit's kinetic energy certainly makes things difficult for Hisoka, Hisoka's trickery, bungee gum and his nen was all it takes to score the win in this card game of death

Megumi: I guess Hisoka just held all the cards in this game.

Sachi: The winner is Hisoka Morow

Hisoka: That was a true team effort. Bravo us.

Toomi: Hey guys, thank you so much for checking out our battle in What if Battles 2.

Sachi: If you want more content like this, don't forget to add this in your library and comment if you have any idea for a fight.

Megumi: Until then, next time on What if Battles...
