Goblin Slayer vs Judge Dredd

Goblin Slayer vs 2000 AD, sword vs gun, when two armored helmet wearing warriors that goes around killing scums will emerge the true remorseless killer of evil?

<Cue: Invader Theme>

Toomi: Goblin Slayer, the slayer of Goblins,

Megumi: And Judge Dredd, the law enforcement officer in the dystopian future city of Mega-City One,

Toomi: Goblins and criminals, while one may not be a problem, they are like rats, they will grow, breed and expand to the point they will become a problem.

Megumi: And luckily, these two are the exterminators, covering their faces with their helmets as they slaughter the heck of out anything they deemed to be evil. She's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi.

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Goblin Slayer slays into What if Battles

<Cue: Goblin by SULLI>

Toomi:  Out of all the monsters in fiction, goblins probably aren't the type you'd usually think would need much attention. Not with one being so easy to kill. Keyword, however, being "one".

Megumi: Yeah, when you have just the single goblin to take care off, it's easy. But the thing is, they're like rats; one nest is all that's needed to create a massive infestation and then they become a real problem. Too bad not many adventurers acknowledge this, with even professions not believe it to be necessary to hike back and make sure a goblin nest is buried for good.

Sachi:  Well, why would they, when the main overarching quest of being an adventure is to defeat the demon lord.

Toomi:  But goblins always remain a trouble, especially for unprotected villages. In fact, one such raid would be witnessed by only a single survivor, a boy who would inherit an undying hatred for the entire goblin race and a drive to hunt them down.

Megumi: After spending some time with a crazy of Bilbo Baggins,

Buglar: What's in my pocket.

Megumi: Ha! Tolkien's gonna be proud.

Sachi: Anyway, the kid grew up into an occupation that dominated his existence so much, he became named for it; Goblin Slayer.

Toomi: And for the next couple of years he stuck to that mission all by his lonesome. Eventually, he even attained the rank of silver, the third highest adventuring rank there is.

Sachi: It kinda rubbed the rest of his colleagues the wrong way that he got so highly ranked when all he did was seemingly grind and kill goblins but he's not the kind of person to give a damn. Plus, the various villages he saves are much more grateful for his help and rightfully so.

Toomi: And Goblin Slayer's time facing down his collective foes have ingrained into him the knowledge of the right tools for his job.

Megumi: Like his armor for one thing. Sure to others its looks a little dented and worn but that's actually to Goblin Slayer's intent. With it being so filthy, it hides the metallic scent from keen goblin noses.

Toomi:  Plus, it has enough toughness to stop a dagger in the darkness, the exact kind of strategy a devious goblin would devise.

Sachi: His short sword for one, which is perfect for fighting in cramped conditions, like the inside of a goblin burrow. And if need be, he can even throw it. And not in the typical over-under method but by throwing it point forwards, like professional weapon throwers do, such as Olympic Javelin throwers.

Megumi: That's probably why he carries several daggers with him as well but he's also a good marksman with typical long-ranged weaponry, like with a longbow and or a sling. And that's if he just doesn't pick up whatever to toss.

Toomi: Whether it be a discarded beaten up weapon or an ornate weapon from African culture, Goblin Slayer can hurl it with almost supernatural proficiency. And speaking of the supernatural, Goblin Slayer has a few magical items in his belt.

Megumi: He's got stamina and healing potions to help him out as well as a magic ring that enables him to breathe underwater. But with his skills in deduction, he's noticed that he can simply use it to give himself an unlimited supply of oxygen in any situation. And a resistance to the cold.

Sachi: One of Goblin Slayer's aces is a Gate Scroll, connected to open a portal at the bottom of the ocean to unleash a torrent of highly-pressurized water. And as water jet machines show us, super-pressurized water is able to cut through even steel with absolute ease. The blast unleashed by the Scroll resulted in devastation worth 4 tons of TNT

Megumi: Even though he doesn't have one at hand at all times, he also has smoke and stun grenades which he made himself. And once, he even made a bomb using flour. Flour! Who can even do that?

Toomi: I think this brings us to what is perhaps Goblin Slayer's greatest attribute. Rather than knowing just things about goblins and how to kill them, his true strength lies in his ability to improvise and adapt to just about any kind of foe.

Feats

Barely survived a strike from a Goblin Champion

Destroyed numerous Goblin Nests

Devastated his surroundings with the Gate Scroll

Dodge an arrow as it was an inch from hitting him

Foiled the plans of the Goblin Paladin

Survived an avalanche

Defeated the Ogre, Goblin Paladin, Rhea Scout, Dark Elf

Megumi: Good thing too, because those goblins...have a cave troll. Just kidding, but they are often backed by more powerful allies, like an Ogre, a super-goblin, the hand of the demon lord and even a fire-shooting floating eyeball.

Sachi: An expert of unorthodox strategies, Goblin Slayer always fights pragmatically, such as by utilizing his partner's spells to trap a horde inside of their own fortress hideout before setting fire to it, frying each one of the buggers to a crisp. And you just know he loves to watch.

Megumi: Yeah, the goblins really dropped the ball when they attacked his village, because now they had someone who was to them what they were to innocence people; an utter nightmare.

Toomi: Even after practically his entire body broken and with it held together by just his armor, his unyielding rage towards goblins surged him on to protect his friends.

Weakness

His armor only provides medium protection

His obsession with goblins is so great that he would continue fighting in an extremely dangerous situation just to take out as many goblins as he can before he dies

Trained mainly to fight goblins

Outside of Goblins and combat, he does not know much

Socially awkward

He needed help from his party to defeat high-level enemies

Megumi: And he literally garroted a Hobgoblin with some leftover hair. Talk about gnarly!

Toomi: But we all know that when a man has a particular obsession, it can end up costing him his life.

Sachi: And whilst Goblin Slayer is aware that his occupation may very well claim his life one day, he'll keep at it, because his vow to never stop until every goblin is dead is no hyperbole.

Toomi: Time will tell, however, if time spent with his loved ones and fellow adventurers will convince Goblin Slayer to make a change to his life for the better

Megumi: So long as it includes killing goblins of course!

Goblin Slayer: Goblins...are far more troublesome than you

Judge Dredd judges What if Battles

<Cue: Judgement Day by Stealth>

Toomi: On what is left of the east coast of the US, Megacity One was one of the few cities to survive World War 3. A land stricken with poverty and overcrowding, the city was forced to employ a new police force, one that could sentence people on the spot called the Street Judges.

Megumi: Full Judges are the Judge, the Jury, and the Executioners. they are in charge of Arresting, Convicting, Sentencing, and Executing Criminals.

Sachi: But among them is Joseph Dredd, where he and his brother Rico were cloned from Chief Judge Fargo in the year 2066.

Toomi: Dredd took part in the Atomic Wars of 2070, and temporarily became a Full Judge to instill Order. Dredd then assaulted the White house with other Judges to take down President Booth.

Megumi: In 2079, Dredd Graduated second from the academy of law, becoming a real Full Judge, Rico was First though due to Murder and Corruption, Dredd was forced to arrest Rico. 20 years later, Dredd was forced to shoot Rico in self defense after he attempted revenge.

Sachi: Dredd exceled as a Judge, becoming a Senior Judge very quickly, and even gaining the opportunity to become the Chief Judge in 2101, but he declined.

Megumi: Declined? Why?

Sachi: Because he prefers to fight crime on the streets. His helmet obscures his face to represent the Facelessness of Justice.

Toomi: Dredd is armed with the Lawgiver Pistol. this special pistol is completely theft-proof, as it only reads his hand print, and it can shoot 6 different types of Ammunition, including Incendiary, stun, and Regular bullets.

Megumi: He also is armed with a Daystick for beating down crooks, a Knife, Stun Grenades and Gas Grenades

Judge Dredd

Excellent marksman

Expert in unarmed combat

Bionic eyes grant 20/20 night vision and reduced blinking rate

Lawgiver Pistol

Scattergun

Daystick

Boot Knife

Uniform

Stun Grenade

Gas Grenade

Sachi: His uniform consists of a navy-blue bodysuit; green padded boots, knee pads, elbow pads and gloves; golden alloy shoulder pads (the right in the shape of an eagle - the symbol of the Justice Department), and a blue and red helmet which almost entirely hides his face and has protective lenses, a respirator and communicator built in

Megumi: Judge Dredd has a large Lawmaster motorbike, which has powerful side-mounted cannons and a centrally-mounted laser which has an artificial intelligence that responds to orders by Judge himself, which also includes automatic driving. Gotta get me a bike like this one.

Toomi: Dredd is extremely Selfless and has saved Mega-City One from destruction on Many occasions. he has even saved the world in 2114 during WWIV.

Megumi: He's taken on many crooks, including the Angel Gang, Chief Judge Cal, the Dark Judges, President Booth, and even Morton Judd, the man who created him and Rico.

Feats

Saved Mega-City One countless times

Saved the world in 2114 during WWIV

Defeated Angel Gang, Chief Judge Cal, Dark Judge, President Booth and Morton Judd

Shot and killed Rico

Resisted the illusions of Sisters of Death, illusions that can kill people

Resisted a shot of a nightmare gun

Immune to psychological and fear attacks

Survived the Sin City Plague, a Virus which reportedly kills over 89% of people infected with it

Wrote a book on Judging named "Comportment",

Dredd outdraws a robot, his draw time is faster than 0.002 of a second

Killed three men before they even knew what hit them

Defeated Stan Lee in H2H, who is described as a martial arts master and the greatest martial artist to have ever come out of the Radlands of Ji

Defeated Orlok, one of the best trained and most dangerous assassins in the world.

Defeated Super-Strong Egyptian Mummy named Ankhor

Defeated the 4 year-running Daystick fighting champion.

Toomi: Dredd has little to no weaknesses. However, he is old. unlike most Comic Book Characters, he actually ages. he is currently 71 Years old.

Sachi: In fact, his eyes are bionic implants which can be rendered useless by an electromagnetic pulse.

Megumi: And he lost his natural eyes some years ago fighting "some lizard monstrosity in a future that will never happen"

Weakness

His bionic eyes can be rendered useless by an electromagnetic pulse

Lost his natural eyes by some lizard monster

Conflicted because he lives in a "Cursed City" on a "Cursed Earth,"

Can actually age unlike most comic book characters

Toomi: Dredd faces an eternal struggle to enforce the law he was bred to uphold, while at the same time doubting the motives of the very law-makers he serves.

Sachi: But that has never stopped him from killing more people than anyone has ever count

Megumi: But I have got to admit, he's one badass criminal killing vigilante the world could ever ask for!

Judge Dredd: I am the law!

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Sachi: Don't forget to vote, comment what you think of the fight.

Megumi: Yeah, but right now, it's time for a Death Battle!

Fight

Cave

Inside a large cave, the Goblin Slayer held up a gate scroll, looking at it as he prepares to make a jump.

FLASH!!!

A bright flash of light appeared and Goblin Slayer jumps in, preparing to kill a nest of goblins.

However, little does he know of the event that was about to unfold

Detroit, year 2101

Plop!

A bruised and battered robber falls flat on the ground as Judge Dredd stares down at the drug house he had recently stormed.

However, right at that moment, there was a flash of light, causing Judge Dredd to look back.

FLASH!!!

Judge Dredd: Hm?

As Judge Dredd turns around, right at that moment, an armored cladded figure lunges out of the portal, his sword outstretched forcing Judge Dredd to raise up his Lawgiver Pistol, barely blocking the blow.

CLANG!!!

Goblin Slayer jumps back, his eyes widens beneath his mask as he exclaims.

Goblin Slayer: You're not a goblin!

Judge Dredd: I do not know you but interfere with the law, you shall be dealt with!

Goblin Slayer: Stand in my way, and you shall be dealt with!

Announcer: Fight!

<Cue: Madlax OST-Track 2-Nowhere>

Judge Dredd pulls out his pistol, opening fire at Goblin Slayer.

BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!

Goblin Slayer side step to the side, dodging gunfire by gunfire before closing in onto Judge Dredd, swinging his sword only for the Judge to jump back, narrowingly dodging a swing of his sword.

Judge Dredd raises up his arm, shielding himself from a strike from Goblin Slayer.

CLANK!!!

Judge Dredd was sent skidding back before looking up, his visor scanning Goblin Slayer for any potential weak spots.

Goblin Slayer ducks, dodging a gunshot from Judge Dredd before throwing a dagger to which Judge Dredd neutralizes it with another gunshot.

BANG!!!

Drawing his sword, Goblin Slayer swings the blade across, cutting through Judge Dredd's body.

SLASH!!! SLASH!!! SLASH!!!

Goblin Slayer then jumps up, throwing a straight kick into Judge Dredd's body.

WHAM!!!

Judge Dredd recovers from the attack, drawing his Daystick as he dashes towards Goblin Slayer.

CLANK!!! CLANG!!! CLANK!!!

Both sword and Daystick clashes as Judge Dredd and Goblin Slayer are locked in battle, neither willing to give their opponent a chance to gain the upper hand.

As the two armored warriors locked weapons, Judge Dredd slams his forehead into Goblin Slayer, sending him stumbling back.

WHAM!!!

Just as Goblin Slayer stumbles backwards, Judge Dredd opens fire at him, shooting him several times across the body.

BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!

Goblin Slayer: ARGHHHHH!!!

Goblin Slayer screams out in agony as he drops onto one knee, blood dripping from his wound.

Judge Dredd stares down at him and he questioned.

Judge Dredd: Give up?

Goblin Slayer: Hardly.

Goblin Slayer then used a healing potion on himself, healing his wounds before throwing a smoke grenade on the floor, masking his presence with a smoke screen.

POOF!!!

Judge Dredd looks around, scanning before swinging his arm back, smacking Goblin Slayer back.

WHAM!!!

Goblin Slayer: Ngn! What?!

Goblin Slayer looks up, surprised that Judge Dredd was able to detect his presence even with his eye sight hindered.

Goblin Slayer: Amazing. But it's time to end this.

Goblin Slayer then picks up a mace before swinging it at Judge Dredd, hitting him across the cheek.

BAM!!!

Just as Goblin Slayer brings the mace down, Judge Dredd caught the mace before pulling throwing a hard punch, striking the armored knight under the chin.

WHAM!!!

As Goblin Slayer falls onto the floor, Judge Dredd used his boot knife to deliver a hard kick into Goblin Slayer's gut, drawing blood from his wound.

SHOK!!!

Goblin Slayer: ARGHHHH!!!

Judge Dredd: I am the law.

Judge Dredd then points his Scattergun onto Goblin Slayer's face before pushing down onto the trigger, shooting him.

BANG!!!

Blood splattered onto the floor as Goblin Slayer's headless body collapses onto the floor before Judge Dredd walks away, his mission completed.

KO!

<Cue: Love, Again by CHIHIRO>

Megumi: Like they always say, never bring a sword to a gun fight.

Toomi: Goblin Slayer's reaction speed may give him a slight speed advantage but that wasn't really enough to hold a candle to Judge Dredd's arsenal.

Megumi: Yeah, coming from the future practically means that Judge Dredd's weapons alone are far more advanced than Goblin Slayer's medieval weapons. A gun with various types of bullets that can pierce through metal plating to kill human targets, beats a throwing knife that can only pierce that much.

Sachi: And plus with his helmet being able to be used as a method of detection, smoke screens ironically are not something that would hinder Judge Dredd in any way. And even if it somehow does, let's not forget that Judge Dredd has have his vision impaired before but he still killed a monster way stronger than him.

Toomi: And Goblin Slayer is mostly used to just killing goblins which is nothing compared to the killer machines, monsters and illusionists, beings that can simply manipulate your own death itself which are far more dangerous than the usual method a goblin used to kill, especially when the enemies Judge Dredd faced have threatened the entire planet many times while goblins though dangerous, are nothing more than just pests.

Megumi: And not to mention, Judge Dredd himself survived a virus that killed 89% of the people infected. I don't see Goblin Slayer having feats of that level.

Toomi: Including the fact that Judge Dredd is literally older than Goblin Slayer, being 71 years and has fought enemies of many different levels while Goblin Slayer being 20 years old is just killing goblins, easily giving Dredd the experience advantage over Goblin Slayer

Sachi: And the fact that Judge Dredd even has a motorcycle with weapons that he did not bring in into this match but has cannons capable of blowing up large number of people, Goblin Slayer stood absolutely zero chance in winning this.

Toomi: Having the advantage in experience, weapons, skills and powers, we can conclude all it takes was just a single shot in the end for Judge Dredd to take the win of this round.

Megumi: Talk about a judgemental kill! I'm not judging!

Sachi: The winner is Judge Dredd

Judge Dredd: Mega City One. 800 million people living in the ruin of the old world and the mega structures of the new one. Only one thing fighting for order in the chaos: judges.

Toomi: Hey guys, thank you so much for checking out our battle in What if Battles 2.
