Toomi: Bayonetta, the Umbra Witch,

Megumi: And Scarlet Witch, Marvel's Crimson Queen of Chaos.

Toomi: Witches have often been feared since mankind history, known for their powerful use of mystic arts and stealing children in the night

Megumi: And these two are why you don't want to mess with witches. She's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi.

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Bayonetta is Summoned into What if Battles

Toomi: December 19th, 1411 is a day that will live in infamy for Lumen Sages and Umbra Witches alike. A child named Cereza was born unto a witch named Rosa and a sage named Balder. This child was considered an abomination, and inspired the two factions to go to war.

Megumi: Before the war even began, Cereza's mom was tossed in jail and dear old dad was exiled from the clan.

Sachi: Cereza stayed with her mother outside of her jail cell every night, giving her a tremendous maternal influence through her younger years despite the circumstances.

Megumi: And it's a good thing she stuck with her, because Rosa was one of the best Umbra Witch fighters in the entire clan. She had a real knack for the Bullet Arts, and was capable of fending off hordes of powerful enemies.

Toomi: When Cereza was taught magic through special training by the Umbran Elder, she acquired an unprecedented affinity for the Bullet Arts, developing an even greater repertoire than her mother had had. Her balance of Bullet Arts and incredible use of handguns earned her the nickname Bayonetta, and she was inspired by her mother and trainer to become the most powerful of the Umbra Witches.

Megumi: But before she had a chance to show off her skills, the Angels began their attack and the Umbra Witches had to flee the scene. When Bayonetta went to find her mother, she discovered her corpse in her old cell and lost her will to fight.

Sachi: Before the angels were able to kill Bayonetta, Jeanne performed a ritual that sealed her away in the Umbran Watch that was given to her by her mother. Five hundred years later, a journalist named Antonio Redgrave found the watch and revived Bayonetta from her slumber.

Megumi: Man, what a lucky guy. Not only did he find an actual Umbran Witch, he found the sexiest of the bunch. He probably had the best day ever.

Toomi: Uh... he was promptly slain after waking her up.

Megumi: Damn! Well, you win some and you lose some.

Sachi: Bayonetta woke up with a horrible case of amnesia, only able to recall that she was an Umbra Witch and that angels are the enemy to her and her kind.

Megumi: She dedicated the rest of her life to slaying any angel that crossed her path, and she couldn't do so without some amazing weapons and skills.

Toomi: Her Bullet Arts are her primary physical attacks. She can deliver a sliding kick on the ground with her Heel Slide, or switch it up and use her After Burner Kick while airborne. Her Witch Twist is a close-range leap that sends opponents sky-high.

Megumi: Oh, and she can open a portal above her and literally stomp out an opponent with a giant foot!

Sachi: This last technique is part of an arsenal known as the Wicked Weaves, where Bayonetta is capable of summoning the limbs of the demon Madama Butterfly to attack her opponent. Bayonetta can also keep her distance with the Air Dodge and Break Dance techniques. Air Dodge allows her to avoid any incoming attack while in midair, while Break Dance lets her fire a flurry of bullets in all directions while she shoots the guns attached to her feet.

She uses these weapons in an unorthodox style that crosses with Close Quarters and Gunplay, called Bullet Arts. Speaking of which...Bayonetta can kick so hard, her leg catches on fire. That's similar to planetary re-entry.

Sachi: Of course, Bayonetta's astounding magic supply is the precursor for her most powerful attacks:  her summons and transformations.  Her Beast Within techniques enable her to gain movement speed as a panther, utilize the power of flight as a crow, and dodge enemy attacks by turning into a flock of bats.

Megumi: And her pact with Madama Butterfly goes far beyond her use of Wicked Weaves.  With sufficient magic, Bayonetta can call the Mistress of Atrocity to the battlefield, letting her deliver powerful punches, headbutts, and kicks.

Toomi: Speaking of headbutting, Bayonetta is no slouch in terms of her own physical strength.  She was able to headbutt a skyscraper thrown at her by her father without sustaining damage.

Sachi: Not only that, she threw a space colony big enough to hurt the god Aesir with just her lower body, at a force of 2400 gigatons!

Megumi: That much? I guess Bayonetta never skips leg day.

Toomi: And as the bearer of the Left Eye of the World, Bayonetta has developed an incredible sense of awareness and can begin to attack as quickly as she detects an enemy presence.  She's defeated numerous gods and even her own father in combat, and is fast enough to keep up with Irenic without using Witch Time.

Megumi: Damn, that's one witch you should never mess with.

Toomi: However, Bayonetta isn't really without flaws. Cereza's entire race was eradicated by Human's despite their strength.

Sachi: Hell, Bayonetta was harmed by getting thrown into a wall.

Megumi: And despite being able to walk on walls, it turns out that she's only capable of doing so under a moonlight.

Weakness

Callous and Sadistic to a degree

Sachi: And despite being a good guy, Bayonetta is callous and sadistic to some degree

Megumi: But regardless of whatever weaknesses she may have, Bayonetta's achieved more than anyone could possibly imagine, despite being 100% human.

Bayonetta: If you need to learn how to talk to a lady, ask your mum.   

Scarlet Witch Hexes What if Battles

Toomi: Though we may drift day-by-day in a world seemingly concrete and eternal, the fabric of reality is, in fact, more delicate than we might dare to wonder. Imagine every single iota event, every star, galaxy, universe, all within the grasp of a single mortal woman, to control at her whim. Imagine the danger we're all in if you piss her off.

Megumi: We don't have to, because her name is Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch.

Sachi: As a kid, she and her brother Pietro were poor Romani who were lucky enough to be turned into superpowered freaks by the High Evolutionary.

Toomi: Unable to control her apparently new magical abilities, it wasn't long before Wanda lost control and was branded a witch.

Megumi: Until who would show up but the mutant master of magnetism himself, Magneto. Definitely givin' off some big dad energy there.

Sachi: So, to return Magneto's kindness, she and Pietro joined his... Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

Megumi: And it wasn't long before she traded her supervillain creds for a membership with the Avengers, which might have been a bit too much for poor Wanda because she definitely drew the superpower short stick.

Toomi: By waving her hands, Wanda could create small random events known as hexes, suddenly altering the probability of any event happening.

Megumi: That's a cool way of saying she can do, like, one magicky thing per fight and then be totally useless. An energy blast here, some telekinesis there, a force field if she's feelin' frisky. Not exactly the same oomph as, say, the God of Thunder or the jolly-green Worldbreaker.

Toomi: But something strange was happening. Over time, her hexes increased in breadth and power, as if there was more of Wanda's powers than met the eye. She learned to slow and stop time, drain and absorb energy, duplicate herself and others, teleport to different dimensions, and even strip others of their powers entirely.

Megumi: It was almost as if there was more to Wanda than just bein' some random science experiment.

Sachi: In reality, Wanda's powers weren't entirely the result of the High Evolutionary, nor was she the mutant daughter of Magneto as he's claimed. Her powers weren't just some simple hexes. She might as well been a god. Until now, she had merely been dipping her toes into the vast ocean known as Chaos Magic. Though her powers may have seemed to be the byproduct of science, they were, in reality, the gift of the Lovecraftian elder god Chthon, who attempted to turn Wanda into his future vessel.

Megumi: She isn't even limited to Chaos Magic either. They might not have been what made her a god, but the High Evolutionary's experiments did make her more receptive to channeling magical energy.

Sachi: She's so receptive in fact, that Wanda is the lone nexus being of the 616 reality. A focal point for the universe's magical energies, and one that belongs equally to all other timelines.

Toomi: Wanda possesses incredible powers, having blocked Thor's galaxy-crossing hammer, kept up with dudes like X-Man, who can fight within Planck time, and even amp her own speed beyond the concept of speed herself.

Toomi: The most dangerous feat that she was most famous for, was during the House of M event, where she basically uttered "no more Mutants." This in return caused only 90% of the Homo Superior population across the multiverse, to lose their powers (and possibly murdering them), while excluding the Human Mutates and Inhumans. The power that she used right here is called Vocifery, which is basically a variation to Reality Warping, where the user will have to use verbal communication to affect reality around them.

Megumi: It's no wonder she was considered a candidate for Sorcerer Supreme. I mean, shit, why wasn't she? She might as well be a walking, talking Infinity Gauntlet.

Toomi: Well, she may have the power of a god, but she's still stuck with a human's body that can be overpowered by physically stronger foes. Though, she also survived being shot with a black matter bullet capable of, and I quote: "world shattering energy". So there's that.

Sachi: Despite being far and away the mightiest among Earth's mightiest heroes, Wanda resented the pressure of her incredible power. She actually wanted a quiet life as a wife and a mother.

Megumi: But because no one in comics is allowed to have a happily ever after, that life was taken from her by literal Satan. Not the last time he'd do this, too! Wanda snapped and took the multiverse with her.

Weakness

Her reality manipulation abilities have affected her, resulting in her being mentally fragile. This has caused her to lose control on multiple occasions.

In the event Avengers Dissasembled, she was responsible for the deaths of Scott Lang and Hawkeye, after two full reality alterations, erased 90% of the mutant gene pool.

Toomi: By tapping into an inconceivable and unknowable pool of energy known as the Life Force, Wanda rewrote all of reality, creating a new universe where life was just how she wanted it.

Megumi: No matter whose life she had to change. In this House of M, she had her family back, but at the cost of her sanity.

Sachi: But of course when her friends and family found out about it, they turned against her, causing her to say these three words," No More Mutants."

Toomi: Wanda weaved her magic throughout all of existence, created cracks across reality which spread throughout the Omniverse, and threatened to annihilate all of creation, the entirety of Marvel's infinite cosmology, everything that ever was.

Megumi: Shit got dark. And while Wanda has worked to keep her powers in check since then, that threat is always there. But honestly, that's just Wanda being reasonable

Scarlet Witch: You have exhausted my patience. But I hope you understand. That even now...what's about to happen...this is me...being...reasonable.

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Sachi: Don't forget to vote, comment what you think of the fight.

Megumi: Yeah, but right now, it's time for a Death Battle!

Fight

Small Town

As the sun sets over the ridge, all seems to be quiet in the small town

Right at that moment, a red wisp of smoke began billowing out of nowhere, shrouding the town in crimson darkness

At that moment, something rose from the smoke, a tall woman dressed entirely in red appears, scanning the area

Scarlet Witch: Strange. This is not where I want to go.

Just then, Scarlet Witch notices a figure wearing a white robe similar to that of a priestess approaching her, asking.

???: Excuse me miss. Where did you come from? I never seen you before.

Scarlet Witch: I am just about to be on my way.

???: No please miss, let's discuss this over a cup of tea.

Scarlet Witch point her palm at the woman, using her magic to envelop the white robe before clenching her fist, crushing her.

Or so she thought

Scarlet Witch: Huh?

Scarlet Witch stares at the robe of the woman, realising that the woman wearing it is nowhere to be seen.

Bayonetta: Oh darling, I'm afraid you gotta do better than that.

Scarlet Witch turns around, seeing a tall woman cladded entire in black facing her.

Scarlet Witch: You dare defy me?! You shall pay for that!

Bayonetta: Ha! Little brats like you should really be taught a lesson.

Bayonetta raises her eyebrow as she notices Scarlet Witch rising up, her body enveloping in magic as she growls.

Scarlet Witch: Your life ends here!

Announcer: Fight!

<Cue: Roses Are Red by Aqua>

SHOOM!!!

Scarlet Witch blasts a powerful blast of magic at Bayonetta, only for the Umbra Witch to somersault in the air, dodging the blast.

She then points Virtuous Blue at Scarlet Witch, opening fire at her.

BANG!!! BANG!!! BANG!!!

Scarlet Witch raises up her hand, creating a shield that blocks every bullet before stopping Bayonetta with her magic.

SHOOM!!!

Bayonetta: Huh?

Scarlet Witch lifts Bayonetta off the ground, sending her smashing through a building.

CRASH!!!

Scarlet Witch: MWA HA HA HA HA!!! Is that the best you can d...huh?

Before Scarlet Witch could react, the very same building that Bayonetta crashed into was suddenly flung right into her, crashing on top of her body.

THUNK!!!

Scarlet Witch: ARGHHHHHHH!!!

Scarlet Witch screams out in agony as the building collapses over her.

Bayonetta lands on the roof top of another tower and she smirks

Bayonetta: I guess this is how the cookie, crumbles.

At that moment, several red magic aura envelops around the debris, followed by Scarlet Witch rising up from below.

Scarlet Witch: You will pay for that!

Scarlet Witch sends the barrage of debris flying towards Bayonetta, prompting the Umbra Witch to spin her body around, shattering the rocks with her kicks.

CRACK!!! CRACK!!! CRACK!!!

Scarlet Witch notices that Bayonetta leaps over one of the rocks before pointing her pistol downwards, opening fire at her.

BANG!!!

Scarlet Witch suddenly disappears, shocking Bayonetta.

Bayonetta: Huh?

Looking around, Bayonetta searches the area before she calls out.

<Cue: Dark Tension Rising>

Bayonetta: Really now Darling, playing hide and seek are we?

Red crimson smoke began enveloping around the town and all that was left is silence.

As Bayonetta narrows her eyes, feeling slightly tense, her heel steps over a puddle.

However, right as Bayonetta moves away, a hand bursts out of the water, grabbing Bayonetta by the heel.

Grip!

Bayonetta felt herself getting tugged downwards, falling over as she found herself staring at Scarlet Witch who now seems to be twisting her body like a pretzel.

Scarlet Witch: You're mine!

Scarlet Witch reaches out to grab Bayonetta only for the latter to summon a swarm of bats, attacking the mutant.

Scarlet Witch: ARGHHHHHHH!!!

<Cue: Bring Me To Life by Evanescence>

Scarlet Witch swipes her hand out, vapouring the bats with a blast of magic.

THOOM!!!

At that moment, a large panther bursts out of the smoke, lunging at Scarlet Witch.

Panther: GROOWWWLLL!!!

Scarlet Witch grabs the panther, holding it back as it snaps it's jaws in an attempt to bite her, forcing the mutant to push it back.

Using her magic, Scarlet Witch conjures a bear, causing the creature to roar out.

Bear: MRAWWWW!!!

The panther jumps up, pouncing just as the bear grapples onto it.

Scarlet Witch stood back, watching as both the bear and the panther are locked in battle, with the panther biting down onto the bear's leg, causing it to roar out in agony.

Bear: MRAWWWWW!!!

The bear retaliates by throwing the panther down onto the ground.

THOOM!!!

The panther then transforms back into Bayonetta before the Umbra Witch summons a threadmill, forcing the bear to run on it before she summons a guillotine, slicing the bear's head clean off.

SLASH!!!

Bayonetta: Well that was fun, but little girls like you deserve a spanking.

Bayonetta summons a giant foot down onto Scarlet Witch, only for the mutant to put her hand up, shielding herself from the attack.

THOOM!!!

Gritting her teeth, Scarlet Witch pushes the foot back, her eyes glowing red as she thrusts her hands back, letting out one loud scream.

Scarlet Witch: HUARGHHHHHHHH!!!

The powerful magic began to causing reality to change, sending Bayonetta tumbling through multiverses.

Bayonetta lands on a flying rock before lunging forward, catching Scarlet Witch off guard by slamming into her, causing her to crash through a universe.

Both witches continues brawling, crashing through universes, passing through the worlds of Komi Can't Communicate, My Dressed up Darling, Animal Crossing, Skullgirls and the Spy X Family universe.

IRS Building, Everything Everywhere At Once

Inside the IRS building, Evelyn is listening to the lady at the counter talking when she turns around, her eyes widens in shock as she notices the universe shatter as Scarlet Witch and Bayonetta crashes right through.

CRASH!!!

The people in the building began running away in fear as Bayonetta grips her head, shaking it as Scarlet Witch looms over her, smirking.

Scarlet Witch: You see, there is absolutely no chance of you defeating me.

Scarlet Witch fires another magic blast at Bayonetta who uses Witch Time to slow time around her.

Bayonetta lunges forward, moving past Scarlet Witch in hopes of attacking her in the back.

Except as the Umbra Witch is moving, Scarlet Witch's eyes began shifting, as if she can see Bayonetta moving.

Bayonetta moves back, narrowingly dodging just as Scarlet Witch uses her magic to throw a chair at her, prompting her to close in, pointing her one of her revolvers at the witch's forehead before opening fire.

BANG!!!

Wanda reels back, seemingly falling from the headshot.

However, her shocked open mouth replaces with a smirk followed by the witch halting mid fall, shocking Bayonetta.

Bayonetta: What?!

Scarlet Witch: Please. You really think that can kill me?

The bullet falls out of her forehead, hitting the floor as Bayonetta grits her teeth in anger, summoning Madama Butterfly to attack her.

Scarlet Witch engulfs her body with magic as Madama Butterfly throws several punches, clashing against the Crimson Countess.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Scarlet Witch fires a blast of magic, forcing Madama Butterfly to raise up her arm, shielding herself from the blast before lifting up her leg in an attempt to crush Scarlet Witch under her foot.

Scarlet Witch: Enough!

Scarlet Witch held Madama Butterfly with her magic before clenching her fist, shattering the bones in her legs.

As Madama Butterfly falls crumpled, Scarlet Witch fires a blast of magic into her, killing her.

THOOM!!!

Bayonetta: No! Impossible!

Scarlet Witch turns to face Bayonetta who is shocked to see her demon destroyed like that.

Scarlet Witch: I have grown enough of your meddling! HUARGHHHHHH!!!

Scarlet Witch unleashes a powerful stream of magic, surrounding herself and Bayonetta as the Crimson Countess screams out.

Scarlet Witch: I WANT YOU OUT OF MY SIGHT!!!

Bayonetta widens her eyes in shock as the blast struck into her, causing her to scream out in agony as her body fades out of existence into nothingness.

KABOOM!!!

With everything destroyed, Scarlet Witch lands back, panting in exhaustion and fury.

KO!

Megumi: Man, never have I seen a battle this crazy in my life.

Toomi: There was a lot going on in this magical, witchy battle. Both Wanda and Cereza were two of the most powerful and beautiful witches in fiction history and have both showed amazing willpower and tenacity. They were both brilliantly skilled witches of extremely versatile magic who have perfectly rivaled many mightiest of gods and their magical abilities seem impressive to look at overall.

Sachi: However, Wanda had the leg up with an even wider and extremer versatile of magic powers that Bayonetta has shown no counters against. Like how she can drain and absorb her energy, duplicate herself, control her mind, body, and soul, and even strip of her powers entirely, even warping all of reality itself

Megumi: While Bayonetta has dealt with reality warping before, she has never dealt with anything of Wanda's level whom the latter has gone up against the likes of the Phoenix Force and Mephisto, beings beyond what Bayonetta has faced.

Toomi: And while Bayonetta could slow down time, Wanda could do the exact same, but even stronger. Even if Bayonetta was able to fight with her weapons, Wanda's ability to create constructs of any weapon, object, or tool can help her match Bayonetta in close combat range.

Sachi: And though Bayonetta is fast enough to dodge lightning, Scarlet Witch can do the same, even dodge light speed attacks from the likes of Thor and X-Man.

Megumi: Bayonetta is powerful but she ironically don't have that many ways to kill Scarlet Witch like at all. I mean Scarlet Witch could use her Chaos Magic to simply overwhelm Bayonetta or certainly drain Bayonetta's powers in an instant, too. After all, Bayonetta's best fights against the strongest of gods didn't have a good record, unlike Wanda's.

Sachi: And Bayonetta's summons are extremely powerful, wouldn't do a thing to Wanda, since she literallydestroyed Madame Butterfly with her hexes.

Megumi: Talk about Marvel Comics! And none of Bayonetta's powers could counter the ways Wanda could end the fight right off the bat, like wiping her from existence with a thought, manipulating her soul in many different ways, and even reflect her powers right back at her.

Toomi: Bayonetta certainly held her own, but Wanda's incredible power, absurdly powerful magic, and unbelievable reality warping allowed her to prevail in this battle of witches

Megumi: Looks like Scarlet Witch sure showed who is the wickedest of them all.

Sachi: The winner is the Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch: I'm a Sokovian Fortune Teller.

Toomi: Hey guys, thank you so much for checking out our battle in What if Battles 2.
