Toomi: Martial arts, codified systems and traditions of combat practiced for a number of reasons such as self-defense; military and law enforcement applications; competition; physical, mental, and spiritual development; entertainment; and the preservation of a nation's intangible cultural heritage

Megumi: But for these guys, they sometimes uses martial arts to get back at the people who hurt their family. She's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi.

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle.

Toomi: Martial arts, something that the men of the Hanma family lives and breathes, where they live fighting and fighting.

Megumi: Especially Yujiro Hanma, the man so powerful that no Military in the world can match his might.

Sachi: But Yujiro has a son, Baki Hanma, since birth, Baki has been training so that he may one day surpass his father Yujiro and earn his love. Baki's mother, Emi Akezawa made sure that he had the most advanced training equipment around.

Toomi: Baki eventually became famous in his home town as the most feared punk around as he beat up all the thugs he could find. This caused all the other thugs to graffiti all over his house, because they could not hurt him physically.

Megumi: Baki then loses to a guy named Yuri Chakovsky which causes him to leave town to get stronger. And which during that time, he fought a monkey.

Toomi: That "monkey" Megumi, is a Yasha Ape, a simian large and strong enough to kill even bears. It even defeated Reiichi Andou, a man who is also a giant himself. But Baki managed to defeat him and he returns to challenge Yuri, only to find out he was beaten by a Yakuza leader, Yaoru Hanayama.

Sachi: So Baki went to challenge him and despite the Hanayama being much bigger and stronger than he is, Baki managed to defeat the Yakuza leader in the end.

Megumi: Baki then went on to fight Yujiro and let's just say things didn't really end well for both himself and his mother.

Toomi: With all that happen, Baki then went on a long journey, swearing to get stronger and surpass his father, until 17 years later, he meets fighters like Doppo Orochi, Koushou Shinogi, Retsu Kaioh, Goki Shibukawa, Katsumi Orochi, Motobe and even his steroid filled half brother, Jack Hanma.

Megumi: And Baki then have to deal with 5 criminals, defeating two of them before facing off Biscuit Oliva, a caveman named Pickle and then finally taking on his father where Yujiro declares him the strongest in the world.

Sachi: Baki's strength is constantly growing throughout the series. Baki's initial introduction at the very beginning of the series, 17-year-old Baki was already the champion of the Tokyo Underground Dome. In the beginning, Baki was shown to bench press over 320 lbs when training.

Toomi: While in gym class, Baki was shown to do 10 pull-ups in 2 seconds (breaking the pull-up bar in the process), jump 20 ft in the air over a 20 ft gap from a standing position, and broke his arm cast into pieces by simply flexing his arm.

Megumi: Baki is also skilled in martial arts and during his fight with Pickle and Yujiro, he can even perform the Triceratops Fist, a stance that resembles a real Triceratops

Toomi: A real life Triceratops was a sizable creature, measuring between 26 and 30 inches long, and Baki despite being a man of a small stature, is able to imitate the weight of the dinosaur that weighs 10,000 to 20,000 pounds, as shown he was able to push Yujiro across the street performing an attack over 100 kilos, even destroying a car in the process.

Sachi: Baki also shown to be incredibly strong, as he is able to bend a police baton without effort, defeat Hanayama as a small boy despite the other boy's size, beats down big muscular brutes like Mount Toba, Jack Hanma, Sikorsky and Biscuit Oliva.

Megumi: And there is Whip Strike is a technique that involves the user making their body as loose and fluid as possible, allowing the practitioner to use their arms like a whip, enabling them to perform powerful "slaps" which affect the largest human organ, the skin.

Sachi: Quite ironic that according to the characters in the show, a slap is a move used only by the weak like women and children.

Toomi: Indeed, especially when moves like that was used in Sumo, and trust me, a slap from a sumo is not something to be taken lightly.

Sachi: Baki has shown incredible level of endurance as he took blows after blows from Biscuit Oliva, took down both Sikorsky and Yanagi despite being poisoned by the latter, survived falling a skyscrapper during his fight with Yujiro, heck, he even move fast enough that during his fight with Yujiro, while he was using him like a human nunchuck with his "Dress" technique, he could not only parry, block and dodge every strike but even make a figure with the vehicle's parts.

Toomi: However, Baki has lost fights, having been almost killed by Gaia, poisoned by Yanagi and even lost two fights with his father

Toomi: Every ten years, in the mountains of Tibet, the mystical lost city of K'un-Lun will appear, forever guarded by a legendary warrior, the Iron Fist.

Megumi: Naturally, one of the Iron Fist's former apprentices, , thought "I should really bring and kid to visit the kung fu super city. Best family vacation ever!"

Sachi:  But, not so naturally, Wendell's business partner tagged along: Harold Meachum. Who, surprise, had less than noble intentions.

Toomi: Wendell was sent off a cliff and wife died protecting his son, Danny from wolves. Being the only survivor of his family, Danny was adopted by the people of K'un-Lun. Within the city's walls, he spent his formative years tirelessly training in pursuit of revenge.

Megumi: He's mastered Judo, Muy Thai, Aikido, pressure points, pretty much every cool fighting style around. He also gained a weird habit of shouting "Heart of the Dragon!" whenever he's surprised. Heh heh heh, oh, you know that guy's got at least, like, six silk dragon shirts in his closet.

Sachi: That would be interesting foreshadowing, for when Danny turned nineteen, he had the chance to become the next Iron Fist. But he had to overcome one final challenge: the immortal dragon Shou-Lao.

Megumi: And, like a badass, Danny walked up to Shou-Lao's front door, then, get this, bearhugged the dragon until it fell unconscious, netting Danny a sweet chest tattoo and the chance to plunge his hands deep into the dragon's creepy cauldron holding it's heart.

Toomi: This act infused Shou-Lao's chi with Danny's, making him the newest, the immortal Iron Fist.

Megumi: With his newfound power, Iron Fist did what any vengeful orphan would, and left K'un-Lun to track down the bastard who killed his parents.

Sachi: However, when he found Harold, all the Iron Fist saw was a broken man. So, he spared him, casting aside his past anguish to become a hero. To which thanks to his friend Luke Cage,  Iron Fist was able to reconnect with the real world and co-found a team: the Heroes for Hire.

Toomi: And when he wasn't superheroing, Iron Fist was... actually a pretty good dude, who used his money to start a soup kitchen. Because he's yet another superhero who is secretly a billionaire by inheritance.

Sachi: Together, the Heroes for Hire fought many villains, like Incinerator, Master Khan, and the White Man.

Megumi: Good on ya, gives those KKK a good beatdown.

Sachi: Uh no Megumi, he fought a mob boss actually named "White Man"

Megumi: Well, Whitey better watch out, because Iron Fist isn't just a fancy title. Danny can harden his fist on impact, hypnotize his foes, accelerate his healing, make close range Kamehameha kabooms, and even a giant energy dragon!

Toomi: Many of these chi powers were learned through the aptly named Book of the Iron Fist, a relic that has been held by every past, uh, Iron Fist. It even lets Danny open portals across dimensions back to K'un-Lun.

Sachi: And after absorbing enough electromagnetic energy, he punched apart this train, surviving the resulting explosion that had enough force to, and I quote, "make Hiroshima look like a sparkler".

Underneath the stadium, the entire hall is full of people, cheering enthusiastically as Baki Hanma steps into the arena.

Stretching his body, Baki smiles as he says.

Baki: Alright, who am I beating today?

At that moment, a cloud of smoke bursts out of the smoke projector and the crowd goes wild as a tall muscular man cladded in green and yellow enters the arena.

Baki stares at the man and he comments.

Baki: Well, can't say I see you before. Who are you?

Iron Fist: The name's Danny Rand, but I'm known as The Iron Fist.

Baki: Iron Fist huh? Now I'm excited

Iron Fist: I could say the same thing. Now, let's go!

Baki: Right back at ya.

Announcer: Fight!

Both Baki and Iron Fist lunges forward, their fists colliding right into each other.

BOOM!!!

A massive shockwave erupts across the arena, shocking the audience as both Baki and Iron Fist began exchanging blows.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Iron Fist swings his leg out, prompting Baki to dodge as the latter throws a left hook, forcing Iron Fist to parry with his right hand.

Pak!

Iron Fist then swerves his head back, dodging a right hook from Baki before lightly pushing him forward.

As Baki stumbles forward, Iron Fist delivers a roundhouse kick, striking the boy in the face.

WHAM!!!

Baki's face contorts in agony as he was sent flying before crashing onto the floor.

As Baki pushes himself up, Iron Fist paces back and forth and he asks.

Iron Fist: What? Done already? Take this!

As Iron Fist throws a punch, Baki suddenly catches his fist.

If that didn't catch Iron Fist off guard, the next move did as Iron Fist felt himself get lifted up before being spun around.

Baki then throws Iron Fist across, which the latter lands feet first on the floor, questioning out.

Iron Fist: Whoa. What was that?

Baki: A little something called Aki.

Iron Fist: Interesting.

Iron Fist remarks just as Baki lunges forward, delivering a hard kick into his face.

WHAM!!!

Just as Iron Fist is sent rolling from the attack, Baki lunges his body forward.

Iron Fist recovers from the attack only to receive a punch square into his face.

POW!!!

The punch from Baki draws blood but that alone wouldn't be enough to beat Iron Fist.

Iron Fist began charging up his fist and just as Baki closes in, he throws one punch, striking Baki so hard in the chest that a huge amount of chi energy began generating, sending the boy flying.

THOOM!!!

Baki coughs out blood, feeling the massive impact ringing across his body.

This kind of power, is like nothing he had felt before. Not even Biscuit Oliva, Pickle or even his father, Yujiro Hanma has display powers of that level.

Baki crashes back first into the fence, dropping down onto the floor as Iron Fist smirks.

Iron Fist: Not bad kid, but what do you think of the power the Iron Fist.

Despite the ringing agony from that blow, Baki pushes himself up, complimenting Iron Fist.

Baki: You know...that was incredible. But you ain't seen nothing yet.

Baki then crouches down, leaning his body forward as he puts his hands up.

Iron Fist widens his eyes, finding himself shock and in awe at the display in front of him.

Baki is performing his Triceratops Fist, a pose mimicking that of a Triceratops while displaying a visual resembling that of the prehistoric beast.

Baki then launches himself forward but in Iron Fist's eyes, it's like the dinosaur is charging headfirst, ramming into him.

BOOM!!!

Iron Fist grits his teeth as the blow of the strike sends him flying.

As Iron Fist lands back, he looks up, gasping just as Baki performs his Triceratops Fist once more, forcing him to catch Baki as he felt what feels like a large gargantuan ceratopsian pushing him back.

But what shocks Iron Fist the most is that despite the boy's small stature, he seems to be creating an amount of force larger than his size.

Baki pushes Iron Fist past the fence before slamming him hard into the stone wall.

CRASH!!!

Iron Fist: ARGHHHHHHH!!!

Iron Fist screams out in agony as he drops down.

Baki then swings his leg out, kicking Iron Fist upwards.

WHAM!!!

Baki then swings his hand out, delivering a hard slap across Iron Fist's torso.

SMACK!!!

Iron Fist: ARGHHHHHH!!!

Iron Fist screams out in agony as he felt his skin tear from the hit.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Baki began punching Iron Fist repeatly, forcing Iron Fist onto the defense.

Iron Fist takes a couple more punches before his eyes flashes.

Iron Fist: Thats...

Iron Fist's fist began charging up chi energy as he throws a punch, screaming out.

Iron Fist: ENOUGH!!!

THOOM!!!

That one punch sends Baki flying across the arena, smashing through the fence in the process.

As Baki falls, Iron Fist lunges upwards, kicking Baki back into the air.

POW!!!

Iron Fist then throws another upper cut, sending Baki flying higher into the air.

BAM!!!

Baki turns around, raising up his arm as he shields himself from another punch from Iron Fist.

WHAM!!!

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Both Baki and Iron Fist exchange blows in the air before Iron Fist hits Baki in the cheek with an elbow.

WHAM!!!

Iron Fist grabs Baki before throwing him downwards, causing Baki to crash backfirst onto the ground.

THOOM!!!

Iron Fist lands across Baki, asking him.

Iron Fist: Do you yield?

Though gravely injured from the blow, Baki pushes himself up, coughing out blood as he tries to ignore the broken bones in his body.

Baki: This...is not over yet.

Iron Fist eyes widens as Baki flexes his back, showcasing the muscles on his back that resembles the face of an Oni.

Iron Fist launches himself forward and he delivers a punch, only for Baki to not flinch from the attack.

PAK!!!

Iron Fist: What?!

Iron Fist punches Baki again but to no avail.

Baki then thrusts his knee up, hitting Iron Fist hard in the gut.

WHAM!!!

Iron Fist coughs out as he staggers back, clutching his gut in agony as Baki says.

Baki: Well, it's the end for you.

Baki then swings his leg out, striking Iron Fist in the head.

BAM!!!

Baki: Huh?

Baki widens his eyes in shock as he notices Iron Fist blocking the blow with one hand.

Charging up chi, Iron Fist says to him.

Iron Fist: I don't want to do this but you leave me no choice.

Iron Fist unleashes a powerful chi blast right into Baki, blasting into him.

THOOM!!!

As the blast sends Baki sprawling, Iron Fist screams out.

Iron Fist: Spirit of Dragon, lend me your power!

Iron Fist's chi began glowing as the man fires a powerful blast, creating a massive dragon construct.

Dragon: MRAWWWWW!!!

The dragon flies around before landing on Iron Fist, embedding him with it and K'un-Lun's power as he morphs into his skeletal form.

Baki could only watch as the man sends the Dragon out with his fist, the dragon flies upwards before biting down into Baki, swallowing him as the chi consumes Baki's body.

KABOOM!!!

Baki's body went off in a massive explosion before a burnt up remains of Baki drops onto the floor.

Iron Fist returns to his human form, standing still as he felt something hit him.

PAK!!!

Iron Fist: Hm?

Iron Fist looks around, confused just as he felt another hit to the back of his head.

PAK!!!

Sensing his presence, Iron Fist turns to look at the spirit of Baki though his physical body has lost the fight, is still not willing to give up.

Iron Fist: That's enough.

Iron Fist says to the spirit of Baki, causing the spirit of Baki to freeze before landing on his feet.

Iron Fist: You have fought well but there can only be one winner.

Iron Fist then walks away, walking back to the arena as the audience erupts in a standing ovation, cheering for Iron Fist's victory as Baki's charred body disappears in a dust of ash.

Megumi: Holy crap. That was one craziest martial arts fight I have ever seen.

Toomi: Baki's resilence and his ability to tank damage certainly makes this fight challenging but he is unable to compete against Iron Fist's strength and experience.

Megumi: Yeah, Baki may be able to take a beating from Hanayama who defeated Speck who broke the Statue of Liberty with a punch, Pickle who has killed dinosaurs much larger than him and Yujiro who is stronger than any army in the world, but Iron Fist has thrown punches equivalent to that of atom bombs, much more powerful than anything thrown by characters in the Baki series.

Sachi: Iron Fist has even shown his fair amount of durability, having survived falling from buildings, explosions and even reality warping powers, nothing Baki has even faced.

Toomi: Even if we want to be more generous and scale Baki and Yujiro to Yuichiro Hanma who survived an atom bomb, Iron Fist has thrown punches equal to that of an atom bomb, even beyond by scaling him to Iron Man and War Machine who has displayed fire power equal if not, more than an atom bomb.

Megumi: And Iron Fist is also much much faster, though Baki has punched at the speed of light, speed is something that is not really achievable in the Bakiverse as Katsumi shattered the bones in his arm and leg just by going past the speed of sound while Iron Fist and many other characters has done the same and even reacted or thrown light speed attacks without anything like that happening to him.

Sachi: Especially when Iron Fist has sent Hulk flying, a character much stronger than Yujiro Hanma himself.

Toomi: Though Baki's Demon Back certainly did help him resist the pain and even increase his power to hurt Iron Fist, ironically despite it being the Hanma's family greatest asset, it doesn't really count as a power up or a technique since it being neither and it doesn't really hurt Iron Fist in any way.

Sachi: Including the fact that Iron Fist has Shou-Lao's chi to use, yeah, Baki really have nothing on him.

Toomi: Holding the upper hand in skills, strength, speed, endurance and overwhelming powers overall, while Baki is resilient and his spirit knows no bound, it is sadly not enough to bring down the Iron Fist.

Megumi: Looks like Danny really brought down Baki with an...Iron Fist

Sachi: The winner is Iron Fist.

Iron Fist: The scribes in K'un-Lun will write of this battle for years to come.
