Toomi: Androids 17 and 18, the Android brother and sister pair,

Megumi: And X and Zero, the final creations of Dr. Light and Dr. Wily,

Toomi: The one thing each of these cybernetic warriors have in common is that singlehandedly, they are very powerful fighters,

Megumi: But in a pair, they are unstoppable. She's Sachi, Toomi and I'm Megumi

Sachi: And it's our job to analyse their weapons, armor and skills to find out who would win a Death Battle

Android 17 and 18 energizes into What if Battle

Toomi: The Red Ribbon Army. A ruthless terrorist organization determined to rule the world.

Megumi: And not a single G.I. Joe there to stop them!

Toomi: Jokes aside, The Red Ribbon's army's goal is to gather the Dragon Balls and use them to wish for world domination.

Megumi: But that all came crashing down thanks to a young hero.

Sachi: That hero is no other than Son Goku, where he singlehandedly defeated the Red Ribbon Army and what would be later known as the Black Ribbon Army.

Megumi: And he did it when he was only twelve years old!

Toomi: However, the Army wasn't full destroyed. A lone scientist, Dr. Maki Gero, one of the founding members of Red Ribbon, had survived. And after the fall of Red Ribbon, he began to plot revenge against Goku.

Sachi: He spent years and years hiding in his secret lab in the mountains of North City, using little camera's that looked like ladybugs to study Goku and the others. And with this infomation he'd created an ultimate killing machine.

Toomi: Then by chance, Dr. Gero met two teenagers by the name of Lapis and Lazuli, and then began converting them into his fighting machines, known as Android 17 and Android 18

Sachi: With the information he collected from Goku, his friends and all their fights, he would use these two finally get his revenge.

Megumi: But there is just one problem. Those two aren't exactly obedient little machines like Dr. Gero hoped they'd be.

Sachi: Due to them still having their human personalities, both 17 and 18 were rather rebellious and did not really appreciate being turned into cybernetic warriors so after waking them up for the second time, this proved to be his last mistake.

Megumi: Can't really say I blame them. Though I got a question Toomi, they are called Android 17 and 18 right?

Toomi: Yes.

Megumi: But if their half human and machine, wouldn't that make them Cyborgs?

Toomi: That's true but the characters chose to call them Androids and it was mostly the translation and writing problem. But the correct term is cyborg nonetheless.

Sachi: So after being freed from Gero, both Android 17 and 18 then began their attacking, killing the Z Fighters and held the entire Planet Earth within their grasp.

Toomi: Which is how it is originally supposed to go in Future Trunks' timeline, but all that changed after Future Trunks travelled to the past so while the Androids along with the newly awaked Android 16 went to hunt down Goku in order to kill him.

Megumi: Though circumstances changed after the arrival of a time travelling cockroach who ate them to reach his perfect form and a dramatic fight where Gohan turned Super Saiyan 2, freed 18 and killed Cell before bringing 17 back to life.

Sachi: And after Krillin wished for both Android 17 and 18 to have their bombs removed, both Androids then began living the opposite of their future incarnations, with 18 and Krillin married and having a daughter Marron while Android 17 became a Park Ranger, got married and had two kids and adopting one

Toomi: But that's not the end of their adventure for Goku recruited the two of them to help him out in the Tournament of Power where they alongside Gohan, Vegeta, Frieza, Piccolo, Tien, Roshi and Krillin participated in the tournament for the sake of the universe.

Megumi: Which long story short, after Goku and Frieza threw themselves out of the ring to eliminate Jiren, leaving Android 17 alone as the winner of the Tournamen where he wished for all deceased fighters and universes to be revived and they lived their normal lives happily ever after.

Toomi: Despite not having any martial arts training during their years as humans, both Android 17 and 18 were able to learn martial arts thanks to Dr. Gero's recording Goku's adventures and battles through his cameras.

Megumi: They also like our last many Dragon Ball characters, are capable of flight, have super strength, super speed and can fire ki blasts.

Sachi: Both of them can use an energy wave attack called the Power Blitz. While normally they fire only one blast, 18 is able to fire two at once in the form of a pincer attack.

Toomi: They also use the Infinity Bullet, or Accel Shot which is 17's version, can rapid fire a barriage of energy blasts. And it was this very move that 18 used help Goku save the day in GT

Megumi: And both of them can use an attack called, Super Electric Strike! They charge energy into their hands swipe their arms to the side, and it release a wide wave of energy with an electric feel to it.

Toomi: And these are attacks the androids use when they fight alone. When these two work together, they preform a move known as Accel Dance. The two gain up on their opponent, using a combo of punches and kicks. They then knock their oppenont to the ground. After words both androids use a move called Power Falling Star, where they both fire an endless energy attacks.

Sachi: Future Gohan stood no chance to begin with.

Toomi: But what really makes the android's truly powerful, they both have unlimited amount of energy. Because of this, they never get tired in battle. And despite relying on outdated data with no knowledge of the Super Saiyan transformation, both Android 17 and 18 were strong enough to take down both Super Saiyan Vegeta and Trunks, the same Trunks who killed Frieza who can blow up planets.

Megumi: Android 18 even held her own and defeated Trunks and Goten while they are disguised as Mighty Mask, knocked out Jewel with one punch and even defeated Ribriane during the Tournament of Power.

Sachi: And Android 17 even after the end of the Cell Saga, was able to go toe to toe with Super Saiyan Blue Goku, took down quite a number of the Tournament of Power combatants and helped eliminated Anilaza.

Feats

Both Android 17 and 18 are more powerful than a basic SSJ1;

Both Android 17 and 18 slaughtered all the Z-Fighters in the Alternate Future.

Android 17 defeated two members of the team of the Universe 2 without any problems (even to one defeated it so fast that this could not react to any of their attacks)

Toomi: But the best part of those two is that despite being built for world domination, both Android 17 and 18 have no interest in carrying out the late Dr. Gero's plans and the two opts for a more peaceful life, even becoming powerful enough to act as Universe 7's fighters in the Tournament of Power.

Megumi: Damn, and to think that in another future, those two were killed by Trunks.

Toomi: However, as powerful as the Androids were, they were an instrument for another fellow Android's own power boost, as Cell, a creation that was initially forgotten by Gero rose after Trunks killed the Androids, killed him before using his time machine to time travel to the present in order to hunt down the Androids and absorb them to create his own perfect form.

Sachi: And the two Android's complacency has been their downfall as Android 17 was defeated by Imperfect Cell and Android 18 was beaten by Beerus

Megumi: And also their disinterest in fighting basically means they don't take the concept of fighting as seriously as people like Goku and Vegeta do. Which was the reason to why the future Androids were easily defeated by a much stronger Trunks

Megumi: So in the end, Android 17 and 18 though were stripped away of their humanity, deep down are still human.

X and Zero Dashes into What if Battles

<Cue: Dream On by Neil Patrick Harris and Matthew Morrison>

Toomi: Dr. Thomas Light, the creator of Mega Man, and aiding him in every way possible to help stop Dr. Wily's schemes for world domination. But one day, he began work on his next great success... X.

Megumi: And if you're wondering "Whatever happened to Mega Man"... no one knows. As for why Light chose the name X, I bet it was because it sounded more X-treme! Heh, heh.

Toomi: The name X was chosen to represent the unknown potential that Light would imbue into his latest creation, including the ability and freedom to evolve and grow like a living being. However, he knew such free will combined with X's powerful physique could not be released onto the world lightly.

Megumi: Probably because he just remembered how his first creation Proto Man went AWOL.

Sachi: So Dr. Light decided to put X in a statis capsule that would run a long series of tests to make sure he'd be a mature machine and, well, not a danger to humanity.

Megumi: This was meant to go on for 30 years... but then X was still asleep 100 years later. Looks like the good doctor forgot to set a timer.

Toomi: In the year 21XX, the scientist Dr. Cain found X and was blown away by how advanced this machine was, ahead of anything the world had ever seen.

Megumi: With some specs left behind by the long-dead Light, Cain went to work on next-gen robots based on X, which would come to be known as Reploids. Turns out without the same tests X went under, as well as due to a virus, some of these Reploids acted out, becoming violent towards humans.

Sachi: These rogue robots, dubbed Mavericks, had to be stopped, and X became a part of the new force assembled for that very purpose: the Maverick Hunters. In fact, everything was going well when X's commander Sigma went Maverick, along with the rest of his unit, declared war on humanity. It was up to X, as well as his fellow hunter Zero, to stop them.

Toomi: X's solar-powered body is composed of a strong and lightweight Titanium-X alloy and his systems gives him vision, hearing, and agility far beyond any ordinary human.

Megumi: He can jump up walls. I don't think there's much else that needs to be said.

Sachi: His primary means of attack is his X-buster, which is actually the Mega Buster Mark 17.

Megumi: Remember how one shot of the Mega Buster could go through a wall? Well this beauty is at least three times stronger than Mega Man's buster... so yeah, a few shots from this thing will get the job done. If not, he can always charge it or even fire it from both hands at once.

Toomi: And like his predecessor, X utilizes a variable weapon system, allowing him to obtain abilities and weaponry from defeated Mavericks.

Megumi: With 84 Maverick weapons in total, that's lots of ways to take down his enemies. For projectiles, Shotgun Ice and Crystal Hunter freeze foes, Sonic Slicer fires energy blades that ricochet off walls, Magnet Mine can be controlled and sticks to walls, Circle Blaze fires a flame which explodes, and Thunder Dancer fires a bolt that can strike one foe after another.

Sachi: But X is not the only one fighting, he has his partner and mentor, Zero, who is a creation of Dr. Wily.

Toomi: No matter how many times he tried, Dr. Albert Wily could never defeat his nemesis Mega Man, the prize creation of his rival Dr. Light. So he made robot master with some of Mega Man's capabilities, Bass, but his inability to defeat the Blue Bomber combined with his tendency to disobey Wily led Albert to built a robot that would blow him away. More advanced than anything he had built before, Zero was his greatest masterpiece.

Megumi: Only problem was that he was overly-violent and wouldn't do anything Wily told him to do, so he put Zero in his timeout capsule... then he was woken up a century later by a group of Reploids.

Sachi: Still as uncontrollable as ever, he destroyed them and any and all intruders that entered Wily's old fortress. To put a stop to Zero's Maverick activity, as well as prevent the loss of any more of his comrades, the Maverick Hunter Commander Sigma went in alone.

Megumi: Sigma got beaten up pretty good, but once Zero's crystal thingy started hurting his head, Sigma scored a KO.

Toomi: After he was looked over by Dr. Cain, Zero had recovered, no longer showing any Maverick behavior, and was placed into the Maverick Hunters' 17th elite unit, under the watch of Sigma

Megumi: Boy, that must've been a really awkward relationship. "Hey, remember when you knocked off my arm?"

Sachi: Zero soon reached the rank of A-Class, the highest Maverick Hunter rank at the time. It was then that he met the B-Class hunter X. The two immediately became partners, with Zero almost acting as a mentor to X.

Toomi: Zero's primary weapon was his built-in Zero Buster.

Megumi: You could think of it as a next-gen Bass Buster, and what it lacks in a rapid fire setting, it more than makes up for with its power. But the Z-Buster would become his side arm after he came across this beaut: the lightsaber.

Sachi: The Z-Saber.

Megumi: While this beam sword switches between being a fluid and solid shape, the Z-Saber is absolutely devastating on contact, cutting down Mavericks in a few swings, if not just one. It can also destroy enemy projectiles, or, LIKE a lightsaber, deflect them, sometimes back at the bot who fired at him in the first place.

Toomi: And he enhances the Z-Saber even further with his Learning System, imbuing the weapon with various properties.

Megumi: See, he doesn't really take enemy weapons, but rather properties to create his very own techniques. His most well-known being Ryuenjin, a rising slash that imbues the saber's blade with fire. Alternatively, he can just stand and create an upward wall of fire with Shoenzan.

Sachi: He can also imbue the Z-saber with lightning, creating a downward bolt while moving or even enveloping him in an electric tornado. He also thrust with the electrical Raijingeki.

Toomi: His saber can fire off... a fireball, as well as a homing missile, bladed wheels, a wave of energy that travels across the ground, and the homing crescent Denharei. But Zero does have access to one alternate form: Absolute Zero. Zero cannot hold this form for long, but with it, he gains an increase in close-range attack, increased mobility and the ability of flight with his wings, and a deadly pair of claws.

Megumi: X has stopped Sigma's plans upward of 10 times, and is traditionally the one who ultimately defeats Sigma.

Toomi: He's also defeated the former S-A hunter Vile, the Soul Eraser Berkana, the double agent... Double, as well as the Zero Nightmare, a copy of Zero made by the Reploid scientist Gate.

Sachi: And Zero has managed to save his friend X on multiple occasions, one-shotted a doppelganger of himself, and has defeated the Soul Eraser Gareth

Toomi: As powerful as X may be, he can't always win his battles alone, and his special weapons are not unlimited. And despite his resolve for justice, X is a pacifist at heart.

Sachi: And Zero was originally infected with a virus... which turned out to become the Maverick Virus. In fact, Zero was inadvertently responsible for Sigma becoming a Maverick in the first place, as the virus passed on to him during their encounter.

Megumi: See, at one point, Zero was in danger of being overwhelmed by the Maverick virus, able to warp his mind into caring of nothing but his original mission to kill Mega Man... but thankfully, that never happened. But even then, that side's still locked away inside.

Toomi: With all his strengths, Zero does has a shortage of long range options, which can occasionally put him at a disadvantage. He's also died a few times, often sacrificing himself, and despite surviving crashing a space shuttle into the space colony Eurasia, his durability has been inconsistent, sometimes making him a glass cannon.

Sachi: Once, X had enough violence and retired... at least until he finally realized he needed to fight for peace.

Megumi: But as far as Mavericks are concern, they should think twice before messing with the combined might of these two heroes.

Zero: Change the world? Sounds like Maverick thoughts to me. X, shoot now!

Vile: What?! No!

X: HAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!

Toomi: Alright, the combatants are set, let's end this debate once and for all.

Sachi: Don't forget to vote, comment what you think of the fight.

Megumi: Yeah, but right now, it's time for a Death Battle!

In the bustling city of Mega City, cars drove back and forth in the busy streets when all of a sudden, there was an explosion.

KABOOM!!!

As the smoke clears, one of Dr. Wily's robot parts falls onto the ground as Android 17 and Android 18 steps out, with Android 18 saying to her brother.

Android 18: You know 17, this is the last time I will ever follow one of your ideas.

Android 17: Hey come on 18, how was I supposed to know that portal is gonna teleport us into the future with all these robots attacking us?

Android 18: i mean there is a decision to not enter the portal.

Android 18 sighs out in exasperation.

All of a sudden, the sibling pair heard a voice calling out to them.

???: Hey you!

Both Android 17 and 18 turned, laying eyes on a young man cladded in blue and another young man cladded in red and black with long golden hair.

They are X and Zero, the cybernetic heroes of Mega City.

X approaches the two, pointing at the destruction behind them before questioning out.

X: Did you two do this?

Android 17 spoke out without denying.

Android 17: Yeah. Because that robot attacked us.

Zero then spoke up

Zero: You should come with us, we have some questions and we need your assistance.

However, both Androids refuses.

Android 18: Sorry pal but why should we follow you?

Android 17: Yeah, how do we know this isn't a trick.

X: It isn't but we won't hesitate to attack if you don't comply.

Both cybernetic pairs faces each other before Android 18 shrugs.

Android 18: Well, looks like you leave us no choice then.

Both pairs faces off before lunging forward, with the Androids preparing to fire a ki blast while X and Zero prepares to fire an energy blast.

Announcer: Fight!

<Cue: Mega Man 2(NES)-Metal Man Stage>

BOOM!!!

An explosion booms across the street upon impact, sending cars flying.

Zero draws his energy sword and he leaps out of the smoke, preparing to strike down Android 17 who quickly moves back.

X slides under the smoke, kicking 17 in the knee before performing an uppercut.

WHAM!!!

However, at that moment, Android 18 throws a kick, striking into X.

WHAM!!!

She swerves her body, dodging the swings from Zero before firing a ki blast.

PIU!!!

Zero deflects the projectile with his sword before throwing a kick, striking into 18.

WHAM!!!

At that moment, Android 17 punches Zero in the face, sending him crashing into a wall

BAM!!!

Zero quickly recoils and he lunges forward, sword raised up while Android 17 backs away.

As Zero throws several energy daggers at 17, Android 17 creates an energy barrier around himself, shielding him from the attack.

KABOOM!!!

However, right as the smoke clears, Zero lunges out, carrying his Titan Breaker before slamming it hard onto Android 17's shield, breaking it.

CRASH!!!

Zero then swings his Titan Breaker, striking into Android 17.

WHAM!!!

Android 17: ARGHHHHH!!!

Zero: HUARGHHHHH!!!

Zero screams as he raises up his Titan Breaker, only for Android 17 to catch the hammer mid swing.

Zero: What?!

Android 17: Take this!

WHAM!!!

Android 17 thrusts his leg out, sending Zero flying back.

At the same time, X slides across the floor, dodging barrages of ki blasts from Android 18.

THOOM!!! THOOM!!! THOOM!!!

X jumps back up before pointing his arm cannon, firing a blast of energy back at 18.

THOOM!!!

Android 18 swings her hand out, deflecting the projectile with a strike, only for X to jump up and throw his fist out, striking Android 18 in the stomach.

WHAM!!!

Android 18: ARGHHHHHH!!!

Dazed by the attack, X swings his leg out, sending the cyborg flying with a kick.

WHAM!!!

As Android 18 is sent flying, she halts in the air before firing a ki blast, shocking X as it strikes right into him, creating a massive explosion.

KABOOM!!!

X: WAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Android 18 watches as Zero was sent flying, forcing her to jump aside as Zero slams into X.

BAM!!!

Android 18 looks as Android 17 joins in, smirking out.

Android 17: Whoops. Sorry.

He apologises unapologetically much to Android 18's chragrin.

Zero pushes himself up and he says to X.

Zero: These guys are tougher than I thought.

X: Yeah, no use holding back now.

<Cue: Mega Man Maverick Hunter X ost: Boomeranger Kuwanger Stage>

X and Zero then began equipping their stronger armor, shocking both Android 17 and 18.

X dons his Ultimate Armor while Zero becomes Absolute Zero.

Now donning their new armors, both X and Zero prepares to face off their cybernetic opponents for a second round.

Android 18 raises up her hands as she warn her brother.

Android 18: Careful 17, these two seems to be way stronger now.

Android 17: That I agree.

Both X and Zero lunges forward, Zero thrusts his sword out as he fires a blast of energy at the two.

THOOM!!!

Android 17 jumps up only to get punched by X.

WHAM!!!

Android 17 and X moves back, blocking blow after blow from X.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

At the same time, Android 18 creates a destructo disc before throwing it at Zero, only for the latter to destroy it with a swing of his Z saber.

SLASH!!!

X then fires his cannon at Android 17 and 18, forcing the two back while Zero flanks his partner.

Both Android 17 and 18 moves their arms around, blocking and attacking Zero as the latter continuously slashes at them.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

Android 17 widens his eyes as Zero jumps up, prompting X to fire a blast right into him.

THOOM!!!

While Android 17 is down, Zero swings his leg up, kneeing Android 18 in the gut before swinging his Z Saber across, slashing into her.

SLASH!!!

Android 18 crashes into a building, causing a massive explosion.

KABOOM!!!

Both X and Zero smirks as they arm five each other.

As the smoke clears, both Android 17 and 18 pushes themselves up, their clothes torn and their bodies covered in scars and dirt.

Android 17 then faces the robots and he spat.

Android 17: This was my favourite shirt and you've ruined it.

Android 18 then asks 17.

Android 18: This isn't fun anymore, shall we finish this?

Android 17: You bet.

Both X and Zero widens their eyes, startled as both Androids began shifting across the floor, seemingly merging into one as Android 18 stood behind Android 17, her brother's identical appearance and height blocking her completely.

Using their surprised reaction to their advantage, Android 17 pressed on the attack, individually striking Zero first.

WHAM!!!

As X lunges forward, Android 17 throws his leg out, striking him in the chin.

WHAM!!!

Just then, Android 18 leaps up, delivering a hard roundhouse kick across X's arm.

BAM!!!

The sheer impact of the blow instantly damages X's arm, causing his cannon to fall off as he screams out in agony.

X: ARGHHHHHHHH!!!

Zero: X!

Zero screams out only for Android 17 to slam his elbow right into him.

WHAM!!!

Zero grits his teeth as Android 18 joins in, the two Androids attacking Zero with a flurry of kicks and punches.

WHAM!!! BAM!!! POW!!!

As Zero collapses right next to the damaged X, both Android 17 and 18 flies up, hovering over the two before pointing their hands down, charging up a powerful ki blast before launching it down, creating a massive explosion.

KABOOM!!!

Both Zero and X disintergrates into nothing as a large radius of the city went off in another explosion.

KABOOM!!!

With both their opponents defeated, Android 17 and 18 lands on the ground and 17 states.

Android 17: Welp, that was something.

Android 18: Indeed, now let's find our way out of this world.

Android 17: Don't need to tell me twice.

Both Android 17 and 18 the flies away, unaware that a Maverick is watching them from afar.

KO!

Megumi: Gosh, to think that Android 17 and 18 have just destroyed the city's only hope against the Maverick threat.

Toomi: In power, both teams have displayed incredible levels of power except the Androids have a much much higher level of power.

Sachi: By taking on Sigma and the Super Saiyans, you can say that X and Zero and Android 17 and 18 have planetary level attacks though Android 18 and 17 have fought enemies way stronger than Sigma.

Toomi: Scaling against Super Saiyan Blue Goku, Android 17 and 18 has displayed Galaxy to mulitversal scalings especially against many of the fighters in the Tournament of Power but Android 17's durability is much much higher.

Megumi: Yeah, the man has self destructed against a powerful attack from Jiren, a being more powerful than a God of Destruction and he turned out just fine.

Sachi: And while X and Zero have legit martial arts training, those are nothing against the Android's own skill but their infinite stamina, with no need for rest or recovery, Android 17 and 18 can fight as long as possible without ever tiring out.

Toomi: And there is teamwork, while both teams have displayed great teamwork, most of the time, X has singlehandedly handled every threat that comes in his universe while Zero mostly relies on X whereas both Android 17 and 18 were not only powerful individually but were an unstoppable force due to how syncronized their team work has become.

Megumi: Yeah, X and Zero has never displayed teamwork of that level.

Toomi: Having a much better set of power, skills, feats and teamwork, we can conclude that both Android 17 and 18 are the superior androids over X and Zero.

Megumi: Looks like 17 and 18 just went a little X-treme there. With Dragon Ball scoring a one and Mega Man, a Zero

Sachi: The winners are Android 17 and Android 18

Android 18: You've got spirit, but seriously, dial it down a few notches.

Android 17: You're one hell of a fighter kid.
