Yunlan lifted himself on his elbows and raised his head to touch Wei's lips with his own. So soft and delicious! He moved his lips on Wei's tentatively, feeling them, then he wanted to taste more so he licked them.

He liked the feeling, he liked it a lot. He kept moving his lips softly, his eyes half-open ever so careful to register the slightest protest from Shen Wei, but none came, so he lifted himself a little more to press his lips more firmly on his.

It felt so good, he had never known anything like this, his heart was filling up with feelings he couldn't yet name but who cares, not him, not now.

He didn't want to stop.

He abandoned his list of established facts he had needed to try and understand his feelings towards Shen Wei. He didn't need it anymore, he knew now that this was what he had always wanted since he first met him.

He had no doubts whatsoever anymore that he wanted all of Wei for him, his smiles, his entire soul, and his body.
He throughly licked his lips and felt an unknown thrill down his spine when Wei opened his mouth and moaned.

Wei was not in control of his thoughts and actions. Yunlan was kissing him?!?
It felt so good too, he had liked kissing Ren but Yunlan's lips where so good on his own that he wanted more of it; he opened his mouth and a moan escaped him, then his thoughts came suddenly back to him and he opened his eyes, that he hadn't even realised he had closed. What was happening? Was Yunlan playing with him? Adding him to his collection? Hong had said that he wasn’t a player, but then why? Could it possibly mean for Yunlan what it meant for him? He had never had casual stories, only a relationship with Ren and now... oh God, what was HE doing? He still had a boyfriend, he couldn't do this, what about...
"R...Ren" came out of his mouth.

Yunlan froze.

Yunlan broke the kiss and settled back down, not looking at him. Both their hearts were jumping out of their chests, and they couldn’t look at each other. After a while they both said: "I'm sorry..." then were silent again.

When the doctor came back they were relieved. The doctor checked his leg, the pain was less intense now and Yunlan could walk on his own.

They went back to their friends and for the rest of the day they avoided looking at each other.

Both Hong and Ren could sense that something was wrong, but were not ready to talk about it in front of the others.

For the following days, Hong went out alone with Jin and Da Qing. She had asked Yunlan what had happened, and at first he wouldn’t say anything but she insisted until he finally told her.
"I kissed him."

She tried to suppress her surprise and curiosity, but she thought that he needed to talk about it, so she tried a cautious, "And...?"

Yunlan was lying on his back, with an arm over his face.
"And, he has a boyfriend," he simply said.

Hong understood that it wasn’t the right time to ask more, she thought he needed some time alone and she was going to give it to him, but she also felt like she had to say something.

"You know Yunlan..."

He didn't move and for the first time in her life she felt uncomfortable talking to him. This was because she hadn't told him of her little conversations with Shen Wei, and now it weighed on her like a bigger secret than it really was.

She continued.
"You know, our little game, when we pretended to be dating, and the times we talked about it in school so people would hear us..."

Still no response from him, so she went on.

"It was all fake, we dating, you cheating, just a stupid game and we laughed about it but... have you ever thought that maybe people who heard us and believed us might now think that you..."

She hesitated, trying to find the right words.

Yunlan raised his arm, slightly turning towards her.
"That I what?"

"That you are... unfaithful, a player who's had many flings, that you take it lightly, that to you sex is just sex, that it's not important to you, that..."

"I get it!" he interrupted her, shutting her up.

He covered his face with his arm again.

"I get it, I completely fucked up."

Hong had nothing to add.

Ren and Wei had spent a few days alone, for some reason Wei had not wanted to join his friends again, and Ren hadn’t pried because he was happy to spend time alone with him, but he sensed that Wei's heart was elsewhere.

He was afraid to talk about it, to ‘wake up the sleeping dog’, as the saying goes, but he couldn’t let it go. He loved Wei, and wanted to be in his heart and thoughts.

He hadn't seen Wei the day before; now he showed up at his place. Wei let him in and they went to his room. Ren hugged him softly, and Wei seemed to shrink in his arms. Ren took a step back and trying to sound casual he asked, "Have you seen Yunlan yesterday?"

Something passed in Wei's eyes before he said, "No, why do you ask?"

"I thought I saw him with someone yesterday, so I thought..."

"It wasn’t me," Wei said dryly.

'Is he angry thinking that I suspected him of cheating or annoyed that he wasn’t with Yunlan?' Ren asked himself, and wanted to find out.

So he said: "Oh no, I know it wasn’t you because I saw them kissing, so it couldn’t have been you."

"Kissing?"
The word escaped Wei’s lips. Was Yunlan kissing someone else already?

Ren stared at him hard and what he saw broke his heart. Now he knew. So many emotions were going on in Wei's eyes, Ren couldn't lie to himself anymore. Wei didn't love him. He had lost him. It hurt so freaking bad that he couldn't breath.

Wei looked at him, and took a step closer. Ren suddenly hugged him tight, so Wei couldn’t see his face.
"Do you love him?"

Wei tried to break free but couldn't.
"What?"

"I know you’re in love with Yunlan," Ren said in his ear.

Wei trembled but didn’t reply.

Ren kept hugging him.
"It's ok Wei Wei, you're so beautiful, amazing, wonderful, he can't but love you back."

Wei was trembling more and more in his arms.
"No he doesn't, and... you said yourself, you saw him..."

"I was wrong," Ren told him. It hurt like hell but he couldn’t bear to see his Wei Wei suffer, his first wish would always be to see him smile, so he said, "I thought it was him, but then he turned and... I’m certain it wasn’t him."

Wei didn’t reply. How could Ren comfort him at a time like this, he felt horrible for not loving him like he should.

Ren kept him in his arms.
"Please tell me that we can still be friends, that you won't vanish from my life," he whispered in his ear.

Wei buried his face in his neck.
"I'm sorry, I’m so sorry."

Ren kissed his head.
"It's ok my Wei Wei, I will always love you."

"You're so important to me, I never wanted to hurt you."

"I know love, I know."

Then he held him back by the shoulders, kissed him on the lips and whispered, "You're so wonderful, how can anybody not want you?"

Yunlan couldn't stop thinking about it. It was bad enough that he had kissed him like that, knowing he had a boyfriend, but now Hong had given him worse worries. What if Wei thought that he was just playing with him? This thought was killing him, he wasn’t playing with him, he... really liked him. He didn’t dare to think the word ‘love’ because he wasn’t familiar with it, wasn’t sure of what it meant, and didn’t want to use it lightly.

Whatever it was what he felt, it was real, it wasn’t a joke, and he needed to tell him.

He would confess to Wei that he liked him.

And if Wei got angry, at least he would hate him for the right reasons.

He had to get a grip on himself before he lost his mind. He got up and grabbed his phone, he found Wei’s number and pushed the green button.

One, two, three, four... it kept ringing and Yunlan thought he wouldn’t pick up, he probably didn’t want to talk to him, when suddenly he heard Wei’s voice.
"Hello?"

“...”

“Yunlan?”

He jumped out of his skin and pushed the red button. Shit, what had he done? Didn’t he want to talk to him?

His phone started ringing. It was Wei, calling him back. ‘he must think I’m an idiot now’ he thought before answering.
"Uh... Wei?"

"Yunlan, did you just call me?"

His name sounded so much better when he said it!

"Uh, yeah, sorry, it got disconnected..."

".... did you want something?"

"I just... I wanted to talk to you, could you maybe come over here for a bit?"

"..."

"Please? I need to tell you something."

"...I’ll be right there," Wei said, and ended the call.

Yunlan looked at his phone: He’s coming, what do I do now?

He paced restlessly back and forth until he heard the doorbell. He ran to the door then stopped abruptly, trying to compose himself.

He slowly opened the door and smiled his usual smile. He invited him in and they went to his room. The house was empty but he felt a sense of reassurance by being inside his room that was so ‘him’, and right now he needed all the reassurance he could get.

Wei followed him; Yunlan stopped at the door waiting for him to go in then closed it.

There was an awkward silence for a moment.

Yunlan thought: ‘he’s so perfect, I’ve never wanted anyone this way before.’

Wei thought, ‘he’s going to tell me that it was nothing and to forget all about it, as if I could do that.’

Yunlan said, “About the other day, at the beach..."

Wei felt a lump in his throat and wished he would just get it over with. "What about it?"

Yunlan: "I kissed you..."

Wei: "Yes, you did."

Yunlan: "Did you like it?"

‘Shit, what am I saying?’ he screamed inside his head.

Wei raised his eyes; he hadn’t been able to do so before but now he stared at him, feeling anger rising inside. Was he messing with him?

Wei: "What?"

Yunlan: "I mean, was it like Ren’s or..."

'No no no no what am I saying.'

Wei: "WHAT?"

Wei was furious now, all his guilt, all his frustrated desire, his self-loathing and painful doubts mixed inside him and came out as anger.

Wei: "Were you messing with me? Did you try to ruin my relationship only to prove that you’re better?"

Yunlan: "Ehi, I didn’t try to ruin your relationship, if it’s not good you should take it out on Ren, I’m not..."

Wei: "Don’t say his name!"

Yunlan: "Look, Wei..."

Wei: "I’m out of here."

‘What? No, God no, if he goes out I’ve lost him’, he thought and jumped forward to stop him.

Yunlan: "Please, I want you to stay."

Wei: "Why should I stay? Haven’t you said enough already?"

‘No!’ he mentally screamed, but then he looked into his beautiful eyes and his ‘I like you’ turned into “I want you.”

Wei froze: "You want me..."

Yunlan kept staring at his eyes, intensely, moving closer: "I want you."

Something broke inside Shen Wei. He wanted him so freaking much he couldn’t reason anymore, and if Yunlan wanted him, so to hell with everything else, right now that was all that mattered to him, he had dreamed of this so much these days!

He wanted this and he wasn’t going to restrain himself now.

They are finally confronting each other and facing what they want. It can only go one way now 🤗
